Encounter ChristWhat does an Encounter mean or is that a G12?

There seems to be a few Word of Faith churches in South Africa who speak of encounters.  Multiple ones might I add.  Now…this encounter terminology is Occult terminology.  Here is a Church in Port Elizabeth (Word of Faith Christian Centre – Jimmy and Mariana Crompton) who is attracting people to their church via Spiritualism, they call it the G12 (what ever that means…quite frankly it does not matter, they could have called it ‘Bullet Point •’ when one views a bullet point in HTML Code it shows up as the following:  •

When you enter a trance like state either after intense ‘praise and worship’ or ‘getting people to open themselves up and express their emotions’ or via contemplation, mantras or clearing ones mind, yoga, breathing, etc. You encounter ‘yourself’.

Most people do not know that what they are actually encountering are demonic spirits who give you extreme peace and a joy unlike anything ever experienced. Now you ask, if I am encountering my inner self how on earth can I be encountering demonic spirits? Well, when you encounter yourself, you become balanced or centered within creation.  You feel one with creation.  God is creation and God is in creation. You enter into a godlike state of consciousness. Yourself = The god in you. Yourself = God.

This is the LIE you will experience once you reach this ‘SECRET’ place. Satan appears as an Angel of Light. What you think is your inner light is not you, but Satan.

Churches in South Africa have introduced training, programmes, studies, camps, weekend get aways and cell groups to introduce people to a ‘journey’ that will ‘change their lives’. This journey will expose people to the False Christ disguised as Jesus Christ. This journey will destroy your soul…but:

I pray that people who have been introduced to this New Age Spiritualism repent of their sin, ask Jesus Christ the Son of God to come into their lives by believing the True gospel of Jesus Christ. That Jesus died on a cross for our sins that we might be saved, and He rose again and is seated at the right hand of The Father. Jesus Christ is coming back soon and will judge everyone. No one is excluded. And if you choose wickedness over Jesus Christ you will face the consequences of YOUR choice.

Realise this:  Hell was created FOR Satan. At the end, all who were lead astray by Satan will burn with Him in an everlasting fire. Satan and his minions do not get to torture you, he will burn WITH you.

God loves all those who believe His Word and accept His Son Jesus Christ and genuinely REPENT OF THEIR SIN, whereby the Holy Spirit comes to abide in you.   But God WILL show wrath to ALL those who choose evil instead.

You can’t change the truth.

In John 14:6 Jesus said,

I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

And this is not The Christ that the world is following in droves.  Only through Jesus Christ the Son of God can you have a personal relationship with The Father!

If God says He will punish those who willingly go against Him, then this is what He will do. Your beliefs will never change what will happen in the future. So thinking that God would never punish you because God is Love, is like burying your head in the sand.  Completely useless!

There is no such thing as an biblical ‘encounter’. If you do encounter ‘Jesus’, please remember what Jesus says in the bible, if people tell you they saw Jesus or encountered Him anywhere you are not to believe it.

Matthew 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

I only saw this article now, but I am so glad that I did. I have experience with one of these (demonic) encounter sermons. It was powerful, I can tell you that!

They set the whole stage for the occasion: You worship for like, forever! The same song over and over, and make sure that the music is deafening! They always make the room pitch dark, with some lights here and there (which was always weird to me). The pastor called the “fire” of God over and over, people fell over when he made this hard blow sound out of his microphone etc. People started speaking in other (demonic) tongues and trembling. They force the whole thing on you. Imagine if Paul preached like that!

These ministers also call private meetings where they prophesize over each person. Another one of them, always advertise his meetings: ‘Come and have an encounter with God!’ or ‘Come receive Impartation’ – Seriously?

Honestly, it’s a clown show! The last meeting we went to we walked out in the middle of the service when everybody started acting like imbeciles, I could not stand the chaos anymore, thank the Holy Spirit. I could never ever imagine the Holy Spirit or Jesus behaving in this way. Kundalini galore!

There is a huge outbreak in my home town for a while now with meetings like this. I could add a few names to your list there. If you just look at their names, you should stay away. Most of the ministries here are linked with the late Danie Slabbert’s church in CT, The River Church, as he influenced a lot of pastors. If you do a search you will see they are all under one hat.

What worries me is that these people actually think they are serving God. Correction, they think they are God! Correct them, and you will see the devil coming out of them. They have all the characteristics of false movements plus more. They just add to the evil they are doing with these new trends and words they use.

If the Holy Spirit abides in you, your hairs will quickly stand up when you attend these meetings, as you can almost immediately feel this is NOT from God. Beware any new trend; it will NOT be of God, if the world follows it. Do not be deceived. There is a big difference in preaching the simple Gospel, and preaching the Gospel and at the same time act like a circus and also be demonic. No souls are saved!

Things are sure changing quickly. People must wake up! It is just too easy to become a minister and have a good life in these last days. It’s all advertisement and new age.

There are so many scriptures in the Bible regarding the antichrist spirit and false prophets and the end times. I have no idea how people could argue this.

  3. Jeremiah Dollente says:

Please read Matthew 7:15-23. Beware of false teachers. We will know them by their fruit. If their G12 leadeers commit sexual immorality, dishonesty, not paying their debt, etc., then that is the reflection of their Preacher.

Have been there but Pastors didn’t do anything when one of their G12 leaders, Robin Jay Albis borrow money to me to finance his delegate for Youth Camp. Pastor Jhun Montano and Bishop Oriel Ballano did’t do anything for him to return the money he borrowed to me when I need it for my job. I almost lost my job when that event happened. Now tell me, how can me and my family will believe these G12 people?

This article amazes me. it seems the authors have no idea what an encounter is.. it is a time to encounter God not Satan. It was an amazing experience that we had to prepare for and then were given more spiritual support afterwards for things experienced. And the G12 vision is a great way to share the love of God with others. By no means was it evil, demonic or anything negative. For anyone on this link who has had a negative experience, even in small churches you have some not so holy people, this church is huge. Its like blaming all of a race for the actions of a few people of that race. I’m shocked at some of the things I’ve read and even on other blogs. All I can say is the devil is very busy trying to tear down a vision that is winning souls for God and all who judge or mislead will one day be judged by God. It’s just sickening to me to see this after the G12 vision did so much to change so many lives in nothing but positive ways. thank you God for the g12

  5. Crissy,

Would you mind telling us how you encountered Jesus Christ?

    >> This article amazes me. it seems the authors have no idea what an encounter is..

That is 100% correct, we have no idea because it’s not mentioned in the bible, and if it’s not in the bible then it’s false. There is a thing called being ‘born again’ that is mentioned in scripture. This is what we are, born again believers in Jesus Christ the Son of God.

      John 3:1-5
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus said to him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Romans 10:9-10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Please tell us how you ‘encountered’ Jesus? What exactly in as many words as possible is an ‘encounter’?

I attended one of the G12 encounters and honestly its not demonic.. God really moved, I saw people being delivered from demonic oppressions, addictions and depressions and etc. I’m one of those people who once had a messy and addicted life but through the Encounter With God retreat i was freed and saved by God.I am sure that i am not deceived because right now i am living my life totally opposite of the wrecked me before. and i can testify that all the teachings and preachings there are 100% biblical. Some people are wrongly judging Encounter with God retreat because they have not experience it themselves. and others did attend yet still judge wrongly because they don’t really understand at all and some are just being to religious.

God bless you all. may God unveil the eyes of those who are judging Encounter with God retreat wrongly and may God forgive them all.

Hey brother. I’m not sure why you’re accusing G12 churches as occult when in fact they are the ones who are engaging actively in the doing the great commission. Traditionally, we use the term bible study to name what we call discipleship and soul winning. This strategy is definitely identical to the G12 vision. I don’t see G12 as an occult but I see it as a new form revealed by God to men in order to expand the Lord’s KINGDOM in preparation for his coming. Stop accusing the members of the church. Start helping them rather.

  10. Jeffrey Ettie

G12 is not only a cult, it is one of the most dangerous deceptions of the last days. The sooner you leave them, the better for you but I doubt whether you will listen to our exhortation

  11. Dear Jeffrey

You said: “but I see it as a new form revealed by God to men”

Is this ‘new form’ mentioned in the bible? Can you please quote us some bible scripture to back up this ‘new way’ of doing things?

You said “expand the Lord’s KINGDOM in preparation for his coming.”

You are expanding the Roman Catholic Kingdom of God, not Jesus’ Kingdom. The bible says:

Luke 18:8 “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? “

You say you are expanding the Kingdom on God in preparation for Christ’s return and Jesus Christ says He doubts He will find any faith on earth when He returns… now the big question is; who do we believe Him or you and your Pentecostal undercover Roman Catholic Church?
