What Journey or Path are you on?

what journey are you on

So, what Journey or Path are you on?

Television and other media have been pushing the words ‘journey’ or ‘path’ onto unsuspecting public.  TV adverts and personalities are constantly speaking about ‘the journey they are on’, or ‘they have chosen to take a different path in their life’, or ‘the journey they are on at that moment is this and that’.

For example, a lady being interviewed on TV says to the audience, ‘I am working my way up the corporate ladder and I see this as a new journey in my life’ or ‘I am becoming a mother really soon and I see this whole experience as a journey.’

Lets look at what some famous people are saying:

The Church Stephan Joubert is Building

Stephan JoubertThe Church Stephan Joubert is Building

What kind of church is Stephan Joubert building? The more I read Stephan Joubert’s articles on his sites (ekerk and echurch) the more evident it becomes that he has no confidence in the One who said,

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18).Church Stephan Joubert

No one in his right mind can miss the meaning of his words “I will.” It simply means that “He will” and
not “you will” or “they will” or “we will.” All the other “wills” besides His “I will” usually make a huge mess of things.

Think of it: The One who created everything and still upholds all things by the word of his power (Hebrews 1:1-3), is the very same One who said “I will build my church.”

Note carefully, He did not say “I will build . . .” the Dutch Reformed Church, the Reformed Church,  the Roman Catholic Church, the Church of the Latter Day Saints, the Lutheran Church, the Anglican Church, the Apostolic Faith Mission Church, the Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches, the Emerging Church or any of the other 33 000 so-called Christian churches in existence today.

Emergent Mysticism – Part 1

The Vociferous Silent Ones Emergent

Emergent Mysticism: A Biblical Appraisal of the Mosaic Congress held at the Mosaic Church (4 – 5 Sept. 2009) – Part 1

The usual suspects spoke at the Mosaic Congress namely;  Ron Martoia (USA), Stephan Joubert, Johan Geyser, Trevor Hudson, Gavin Sklar-Chik, Gys Du Plessis, Willem Nicol, Rex van Vuuren, Annemarie Paulin-Campell

The new-old magical way to get in touch with God – “be still,” “be quiet,” “shut up,” “shhhhhhh”

shhhh2_thumb Emergent The well-known song “Silence is Golden may have been a hit on the singles UK charts in 1967, but the refrain “Silence is Truth” has hit the Christian Church like a tsunami, carrying with it in it’s destructive wake many unsuspecting Christians.

One of the major contributors to this utterly devastating “silent” storm is the Mosaic Church in Fairland, Johannesburg.

As an introduction to my critique on the Mosaic Congress I would like to draw your attention to certain words and phrases that all the keynote speakers used throughout their presentations.

Which Steps Have You Taken to Aid World Transformation?

Alchemist-Godhood - World TransformationWhich Steps Have You Taken to Aid World Transformation?

Business, leadership, networks, churches, planting, communities, transformation, growth, change.  This is all we hear lately.  So I wondered if there was any correlation between the Seven Transformations of Leadership — (David Rooke and William R. Torbert – Harvard Business Review) and my Action Steps toward Enlightenment and World Transformation.  — (Deborah from

So I drew up a table taking the Seven Transformations of Leadership from David Rooke and William R. Torbert and then I did a comparison with regards to mankind’s growth into New Age Spirituality.  William Torbet promotes New Age Spiritual transformation.  The outcome of my comparison is not at all surprising.

Colossians 2:8-10   8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. 9For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority

Please note that I have written my column called the Action Steps toward Enlightenment and World Transformation from the perspective of someone who wants to transform the world under a false Christ.  As you will see the first level is a level for those who refuse to transform i.e., born again Christians:  We are considered narrow minded and a hindrance to World Transformation.  At the bottom of this article I then have a short summary.

The Bible verses I have included show how levels 2-7  levels are detestable before God.

Age of Aquarius – A New Age, A New Dawn

Age of Aquarious - new ageWhat does this mean I am asked – “A New Age”.  Well I went off and found the best explanation I could find, written by a New Age person.

Can you spot the similarities between New Age belief system and the new type of Christianity that has replaced orthodox Christianity?

[DTW notes in green]

I recently had a discussion with an acquaintance regarding traditional religious teachings and dogma vs. New Age thinking. I quickly realized that her opinion was that “new age thinking” would condemn one to eternal damnation. We had an indepth discussion on the subject and I was able to help her see what this system of belief is really about. I now realize how much confusion and misunderstanding there is out there about exactly what the term “new age” means. I am by no stretch of the imagination an authority on the subject of new age; however, I have done considerable study of metaphysics over the past 10-12 years and I would like to share some of my personal truths. I will try to do so in a way that can be easily understood by anyone.   [DTW note:  Word of Faith doctrine is based on Metaphysics, that faith is a force and you can speak things into existence.]

The Fragrance of Christ

Paul admonished his younger brother in Christ to rightly divide the Word of God.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

The word for “divide” is (orthotomeo) and means to “cut straight.” it is said that in the Old Testament the Levite priests used a very sharp flint knife to cut open the bones of the sacrificial animals to expose the marrow to sunlight. They needed to cut straight or bear the consequences when cutting not so straight. Whether this is true I don’t know, but it helps to understand what Paul and John meant when they wrote :-

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; (Revelation 2:12)

Contemplative Spirituality: The Throne of Satan

birthing_the_christ_within_ Contemplative Spirituality: The Throne of Satan

Contemplative Spirituality

The followers of the Emergent Jesus are completely enamored, captivated, bewitched, besotted, and smitten by hidden secrets, so much so that they are continually boasting that they have found this or that new hidden secret or message, allegedly of Jesus of Nazareth. Books like ‘The Secret Message of Jesus: Uncovering the Truth that could change everything’ (Brian McLaren) have navigated the emergent conversationalists and coffee drinkers onto a path where they are relentlessly seeking for a truth that blatantly contradicts and even replaces the Truth.

Shades and colors of the New Age are increasingly emerging to the surface, much like a painting of which the top layer is removed to reveal the original, hidden underneath layers and layers of paint. Masterpieces of deceit are emerging at an alarming rate from websites such and e-church and velocity culture. Consider the following from the paint brush of Dries Cronje’, one of the masters in the e-fold of the e-church. In reference to Paul’s statement ‘to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory’ in Colossians, he comes to this amazing conclusion.

In a nutshell, here’s the mystery:

False Prophet Kim Clement – A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

srcset=Is Kim Clement a New Age Prophet?

by Mike Oppenheimer – (Permission received to republish article in full.)

If you’re unable to deal with issues of Bible doctrine this article will be disturbing in two ways; to those who follow such teachings and to those who hold to the Word of God correctly and are repulsed by distortions.

Kim Clement’s Biography

Kim Clement was born in Uitenhage South Africa in 1956. Kim remembers his parents telling him he would be a classical pianist. His first music lessons were at the age of five. Clement describes his family as nominal Christians who believed there was a God; they did not go to church except for an occasional wedding or funeral and celebrating Christmas. They did not read the Bible or pray as a family.

Rick Warren – A New Age Prescription For Your Health

Many thanks to Lighthouse Trails Research for their hard work!

Rick Warren’s New Health and Wellness Initiative Could Have Profound Repercussions on Many

Just ten days after Lighthouse Trails posted its last and most important article of 2010, Rick Warren’s “Apologetics” Weekend Should Apologize for Representing “Another Gospel,” we must issue this Special Report regarding a year-long event that will be kicking off at Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church on January 15th.

Near the end of 2010, Rick Warren announced that Saddleback Church would be entering “a Decade of Destiny.” He told his congregation that they would be focusing on several key areas, one of them being “health and wellness.” The “Daniel Challenge” or the “Daniel Plan” is Saddleback’s new health “initiative.”  On Saddleback’s website, it states:

Gods’ Prescription For Your Health

Be a part of this transformational debut to be a healthier you!

Delightfully Deceptive New Age Ministries for Woman on the Increase

New AgeThere is a massive increase in New Age ministries popping up all over South Africa under the disguise of Christianity. Delightfully Divine Womans Ministries run by Luzanne Nel and Melinda du Plessis is one of them.

The name of their ministry is absolutely terrible.  Delightfully Divine Women?  This is completely shocking and totally unbiblical.  When you become a born again Christian you grow to become more Christ-like, you DO NOT become like Christ or a Christ or anything Divine for that matter.  However in New Age teaching you do, you become a god, you realise you are a god trapped in a human body part of a huge cosmos.

Delightfully Divine Womans Ministries say on their website:

Our Vision Is to be obedient to what the Lord put in our hearts: to build a ministry that will uplift women in a practical fashion, inspiring them to live a fulfilled life in the Lord in their personal divine purpose

Our Mission Putting our faith into action and fulfill the purpose He gave us!

Kim Clement Admits he is a False Prophet

Kim Clement admits to false prophecyRecently a ‘prophet’ was exposed by DTW as being false – Ivin from 220Generation prophecied on the 20th Jan 2009 saying that God spoke to him through a thunderstorm.  God told Ivin that 5 atrocities have occurred or will occur within the next couple of months and be shown on the news, and will shock South Africa half to death and bring the fear of the Lord back to the people of this country.  These things have not come to pass by a long shot.

Kim Clement is sitting in the same situation…

Dion Forster and The Drive By Rebuking Video

Dion ForsterDion Forster and The Drive By Rebuking Video

Dion Forster follower of the Cosmic Christ, Ecumenical Methodist Minister and avid cyclist, had this to say about the Turn2God gathering that took place on the 6th March 2010 at the Union Building in Pretoria:

“In terms of the event, I enjoyed Turn2God – it was great to see Christians from many different cultures, age groups, denominations and theological perspectives gathering to give expression to their faith and express care for their nation.

I didn’t agree with every speaker,  or with every part of the program.”   —

I’m confused Dion.  So who did you not agree with?  There was Graham Power (a good friend of yours), there was Angus Buchan (a good friend of yours), there was Bennie Mostert and Elza Meyer (I presume good friends of yours),  and they were all the main speakers and organisers of the entire event.

Graham Power and yourself are the big cheeses of Unashamedly Ethical, along with Angus Buchan, Elza Meyer and Bennie Mostert.  Have I left anyone out?  If so, I am so sorry.  Please do let us know in the comments section below.  We have to always give credit where credit is due.

So who didn’t you agree with?   And don’t say the white horse’s grand entrance and exit at the end.  Even I know that your cosmic christ would not dare pitch up on a horse like that, and if anything we would have been able to see him.

Manhattan Declaration – WARNING – Leads You Toward A New Religion

Thank you to LightHouseTrails for this SPECIAL REPORT

[Pictures of Manhatten Declaration Logo and Chuck Colson added by DTW]

We are seeking to build a movement – hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of Catholic, Evangelical, and Eastern Orthodox Christians who will stand together.-Manhattan Declaration

On November 20th, a document called the Manhattan Declaration was released at an event at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. The Declaration has received wide media coverage, and as of this writing about ¼ million people have signed the document, with a current average of about 10 people a minute adding their names (around 14,400 a day).Chuck Colson

One of the four drafters of the Declaration is Chuck Colson who also co-authored a document in the 90s called Evangelicals and Catholics  Together. The ECT is similar in nature in that it identifies both Catholicism and Evangelicalism as part of the Christian church and asks members of both groups to unite in areas that they have in common. With this new document, the emphasis is on morality: gay versus traditional marriage, abortion, stem cell research, assisted suicide,  etc.

According to a Christianity Today article on the Manhattan Declaration, both prominent evangelical leaders and Catholic leaders are main signatories:

The declaration has received national attention because, in addition to many American evangelical leaders, its [main] signatories include nine Catholic archbishops, the president of the Catholic League, the primate of the Anglican Church of Nigeria, and the primate of the Orthodox Church in America.

Given the fact that a large number of the main 149 signatories have directly or indirectly promoted advocates of the New Age/New Spirituality (i.e., contemplative/emerging), it is not difficult to see that (even with good intentions) the Manhattan Declaration may provide an appealing and subtle avenue into the New Spirituality  for a vast number of signers, many of whom might not otherwise have had exposure to it given the conservative tendencies of most of the signers.
