Prophet Kobus van Rensburg’s own son, Kobus van Rensburg jnr. had the audacity to arrive at church one day; drunk.

The kid definitely has problems being drunk, knowing that he he had to preach that day. Here’s some advice, why don’t you ask your father to “heal” you from your alcoholism?

In the video, Kobus van Rensburg jnr. admits to being drunk, speaks about the benefits of being drunk and mentions a drinking bar located in the church.

You can hear the church people laughing at him (or with him) because he is drunk.

Here is what the Bible has to say about Kobus jnr.

1 Corinthians 6 9-10 KJV:  “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

And here’s a verse that proves that “Prophet” Kobus van Rensburg is just another false prophet.

1 Timothy 3 4-5 KJV: “One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?

    I do want to comment on this: what a disgrace. I really pray that God closes this so-called “church”. Sorry if I sound harsh, but these people are a disgrace to the Christian world…how come nobody take them to task? Jgggg.

    I am more saddened by the absolute shocking behaviour of the congregation! What a statement of truth it would have been if they got up and walked out. Or are they worried that they might look like they are stuck up? For evil to succeed it takes good men to do nothing. And by not taking a stance I think you are in agreement and you are saying it is okay then. 1Jn 2:6 reads “Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did”. How is he walking like Jesus did? I just kept on thinking, what if there is a wife, child or parent sitting there who has had to deal with drunkenness and broken homes and broken lives because of alchohol to be faced with this?

Your attack on Kobus Senior is unfounded and unfair. I can only voice my opinion and bring on the damning scripture led attack as I am certain to get but I am entitled to it and I think that a few lines of scripture hardly proves him a false prophet.

    You are absolutely right, I thought the same thing. They were laughing WITH HIM, not really at him. This is the state the the church. The congregation who thought he was funny might as well got up and went and got drunk too. All drunken revellers.

    Harsh? No, you should read the rest of chapter in Timothy regarding what a pastor should be like. And Shaun, do yourself a favour just like you have NOT read Timothy try read the other articles PROVING why Kobus IS a FALSE PROPHET based on the REST OF THE BIBLE you have not read either.

    Paul K, it is not challenging them, it is exposing them. Jesus would not want us to keep quiet if we know someone is living in sin or lying to a huge amount of people. If his son is like this, what example is this of his father?
    I agree, the people in the congregation is laughing with him…looks almost like they cannot control themselves.
    Well if anyone believes this they are either very naive or they just go to a church, without any knowledge of God or the Bible…not knowing what is right and what is wrong.

    Paul, God did not call us to harbour friendships with that which is false. But to earnestly agonize for the body of truth once for all given, not to be added to or subtracted from. Jude 1:3.

    We are called to challenge men of God, or in this case, so called… Does 1 John 4:1 not teach us to test every spirit? The world will love its own, and its own will love it.

    The true doctrine as to the Saviour’s person, as leading men from the world to God, is a mark of the spirit of truth in opposition to the spirit of error. The more pure and holy any doctrine is, the more likely to be of God; nor can we by any other rules try the spirits whether they are of God or not. And what wonder is it, that people of a worldly spirit should cleave to those who are like themselves, and suit their schemes and discourses to their corrupt taste?

    Further, it is the Word of God who judges your prophet, Heb 4:12 – it is a judge of the innermost thoughts, in this way the word of God reveals the whole man particularly in relation to his heart attitudes, and his believing faith, that which will enable him to enter into rest. The word of God examines, judges, and admonishes the Christian to holy living and to believing faith.

    Lastly, just because your prophet can perform a trick or two, does not make him a prophet from God. Jannes and Jambres the two Egyptian magicians performed counterfeit miracles in opposition to Moses. Ex 7:11, 22. They are, similar to Kobus, symbols of the folly of opposing the truth.

    Thanks for the eyeopeners. I was led to other sites as well. What can I say except’Come, Lord Jesus’. Nigeria has been infected by this poison as well. Now, I understand why W.F Kumuyi issued a RED ALERT about Peter Wagner and Rebecca Brown years ago. He warned and had their books banned in the church bookshop. My prayers for you all are in Psalms 20 vs 1 to 6 and Numbers 6 24- 26.
    by the way, I’ve got three books to recommend to you. Frank Peretti’s ‘The Visitation’ nails what is going on in the church to a tee, ditto for Francine Rivers’ ‘And the Shofar Blew’ and an ‘old school’ book reprinted by Barbour- ‘In a Twinkling of an eye’ by Sydney Watson. the last was written over a hundred years ago, deals with the Rapture and the RC ‘church’ being the AntiChrist’s religious platform.
    As for those exposed, I pray they repent. It’s sad that millions of souls have been led to hell because of their luciferian teachings.

    First I’d like to say that Kobus isn’t intoxicated with Alchahol ! This is the state of being that a person can be in when you truely surrender to the Holy Spirit. Think about it for a minute. If someone paid the price for all your transgressions from now till forevermore , how would you look ? Would you try and hold your pose and pretend that you can save yourself ? Or would you look like this guy ?

    Secondly , ” the bar ” that he is referring to is The Holy Spirit !

    Thirdly , the people are drinking from the same bar ! These people are truely happy about what God has done for them. It might look moronic to you but you have to become like a child to enter into the Kingdom. Have you entered ?

    Listen to the man in the context of what he is talking about. I guarantee you this man hasn’t had a drop of alchahol.

    While for many years I have known Kobus to be a false prophet who propagates some of the most hair-raising doctrines, I think everyone might be missing a point here. Is his son not claiming to be “drunk in the spirit” (Acts 2:15)? If so, it becomes a doctrinal issue rather than a behavioural issue. And perhaps the “audience” are participating, not in the belief that he is drunk through alcohol but drunk in the “spirit.”

    If you are trying to insist that the blasphemous Toronoto Blessing Type ‘Holy Intoxication’ is taking place here with Kobus Jn then you are wrong. Kobus is drunk from drinking two much alcohol – period.

    And you don’t understand the verse of Acts your quoted to me.

    I watched many and I mean many videos on the Tonoto Blessing where people blasphemed the name of the Holy Spirit and acted as thou they there drunk under a false Spirit. The biggest issue is this, the differences between Kobus Jnr and Toronto Blessing Intoxication is that Kobus knew exactly what he was saying and could speak a some senstense, and he was not rolling around on the floor, lying drunk. The filfly spirit that took over at Toronoto left people totally inebriated- thy could not string to words together, the congregation slid off their chairs onto the floor totally inebriated after this spirit passed over them.

    I believe that we are are seeing here in this church is nothing but FLESHSHLY sin in the house of the LORD>

    On Acts 2:16-17, see Joel 2:28-32, don’t just quote Scripture without reading it first, or understanding it.

    The fulfillment of this prophecy will be in the last days, immediately preceding the return of Christ, when all the particulars (v20), of the prophecy will come to pass.

    After Israel’s future repentance and restoration (Zech 12:10;13:1), in connection with the second advent of Christ, as witnessed by the portents of v30, and Acts 2:16-17. The Holy Spirit will then be poured out on all classes of Israel who belong to the believing remnant…please stop raping a single verse to promote heresies!!

    Rev 6:12, these cosmic disturbances are predicted in Isa 34:4,Joel 2:30-31, and Matt 24:29, so please tell me how you came to apply Acts 2:17 to the ungodly behaviour of your guru?

    Be careful people… it is dangerous to be belittle God’s Work. I have witnessed that specific event and have been witness of many God worked miracles through Kobus van Rensburg and the staff of Spirit Word. Just as the religeous Jews could not stop God’s work through His children, no man or religeous people of our day will be able to stop His work at Spirit Word.

    One thing is sure, your fierce attacking them says a lot… nothing different than the religeous crowd attacked Jesus… For ever this was true over centuries. Religeous people attack God’s work, yet them selves are unfruitful.

    Be careful that you don’t attribute evil to the Holy Spirit. There is not such thing as being drunk in the Holy Spirit. Just because you have experienced the manifestation of a false spirit does not mean you can now call it biblical. No where in the bible does anyone laugh and you can’t even twist the scripture of the Pentecost because they were not drunk.

    Spirit Word produces nothing but evil fruit from a THORN TREE.

    What an insult to a Holy God, to attribute drunken behavior to His Holy Spirit! While the Bible never refers to being ‘drunk in the Spirit’, it contains numerous condemnations of drunkenness, and it does refer to spiritual drunkenness as a judgment from God. Consider the following passages:

    I have trodden down the peoples in My anger, made them drunk in My fury… Isaiah 63:6

    “…Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land…with drunkenness! “And I will dash them one against another…(I) will destroy them” Jeremiah 13:13-14

    “And they will drink and stagger and go mad because of the sword I will send among them.”
    Jeremiah 25:16

    ‘Therefore you shall say to them, “Thus says… the God of Israel: “Drink, be drunk, and vomit! Fall and rise no more…”‘ Jeremiah 25:27

    It was in 1994 when The Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship held their “Have Another Drink” conference. I include some of their own description of the conference so that you can get a feel for the ungodly and profane nature of their ‘worship’:

    “Have Another Drink – Never a Sober Moment”

    Spirit is NOT an alcoholic beverage.

    The primary way a relationship with Jesus develops is by reading the revelation of Himself given in His Word. This is the only way to obtain specific information about Him that is objective and absolutely true. In addition, not only is the content of Scripture inspired by the Holy Spirit, but that same Spirit of Truth is given to believers to understand that content. How then could those who profess to follow God’s Word come up with erroneous ideas about Jesus? Regrettably, many are getting their information about Jesus from sources outside the Bible or second hand from those who claim to be teaching what the Bible says about our Lord.

    Practise what you preach, i.e. WAKE-UP!

    True Werner, I still say ignorance means "dumb on purpose". But this is what happens if we pay someone to read and interprate the Word for us. We find ourselves at a "loss for words" when we really need it.
