Kobus van Rensburg – Lied about his healing – Multiple times!

Kobus van Rensburg - Lied about his healing - Multiple times!

Kobus van RensburgIt has come to my attention that Kobus van Rensburg has once again duped his followers into believing that has been healed, however this is far from the truth.

This is the story of Kobus van Rensburgs so called ‘miraculous’ healing.

Kobus was diagnosed with cancer AGAIN after he went into remission. The second time, Prophet Ed Traut prophesied over him and told him that the 2nd time won’t be as long and as bad as the first, wherein he died several times.  Kobus van Rensburg and his wife Annalise flew over to Germany for nearly 2 months where he received treatment at an institute referred to by Johnson Olowokere.  Kobus van Rensburg led his followers on to believe that he received NO treatment at all.   After he came back his body was clean of cancer, but during their time in Germany he was diagnosed with several diseases; like heavy metal poisoning and another, an allergic reaction to the cold.  In the last week of October 2011 he was AGAIN diagnosed with cancer – a 3rd time, this time in his brain and according to the doctors his first two times with cancer was a walk in a park and the chemo and treatments for brain cancer will be the worst he’s ever experienced….

Nothing of this is shared on the TV channel or on the internet.  It is kept secret, hush hush.  Annalise and her sons are running Spirit Word Ministries from the back end trying to not let anyone know that the ‘gospel‘ they preach is false.

I feel terribly sorry for Kobus van Rensburg and I pray that he gets well, MORE IMPORTANTLY I pray that he realises he is following false teaching and preaching false teaching and that going to witch-doctors like T B Joshua to receive POWER is the CAUSE of his illness.  I pray that Kobus van Rensburg comes before the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible and repents of his ways and STOPS the lies and deception once and for all that he may be healed spiritually and physically!

I pray his followers open their eyes to the truth of the matter, open their bibles and seek Jesus Christ (The Way, The Truth, and The Life – bJohn 14:6) and not a man who claims he is immortal while on this earth.

Hi Deborah! I know a pastor who was recently asked by Kobus himself to pray for healing from the cancer he has! Heartbreaking these lies are’nt they? The sad thing is those who follow Kobus do so because they like being duped; they love it when they’re being lied to; the Bible wrote about them…
    Keep well my friend!

  • Paul K

If you don’t have anything to say about our prophet keep your comment for your self. I believe Kobus van Rensburg is a man of God a Prophet send by God to heal the people of God, so keep you insults for yourself I take strongly exception of your insult.by the way if you have a face give details

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Hi Dion!! :))

    Incredible and very heartbreaking.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Paul

Firstly, what insult? If Kobus has cancer but lies and tells everyone he is healed, that is his problem and definitely not an insult. See this website: Kobus Van Rensburg, the man of God is 100% healed !!!
Secondly, I don’t take lightly to threats.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

Woahhh and I just found this on Youtube – seems Kobus is what is most commonly called: busted

False Prophet Kobus van Rensburg admits to having chemotherapy done for his cancer on 03/12/2011

Commentary: In this video, False Prophet Kobus van Rensburg admits to taking medicine as well as recieving chemotherapy(possible reason for his baldness) treatment for his ever-present cancer that was diagnosed a total of 3 times just this year alone. He also makes it seem like God is helping his recovery with his hemoglobin increase but it is a well known fact that the cancer medicine PROCRIT gradually increases hemoglobin and white blood cells when taken after chemotherapy. This is the reason for the increase.

This man claims to be a Prophet of God, who is anointed to heal the sick, yet if this was true he would never have gotten cancer in the first place. (( Mark 16-18 KJV: hey shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them.))

This false prophet “heals” many people of cancer, people who do not get chemotherapy and medicine, yet he puts his faith in doctors to give him chemotherapy and medicine instead of receiving healing through God. This doesn’t make sense for a man who calls himself a Prophet of God.

And if you dont have enough faith by yourself to get the healing, then why dont you ask that other False prophet Ed Traut to come help you get faith..you two are like the modern day Laurel and Hardy, I don’t need to say whose the fat smart one is, and who the skinny dumb one is.

Hey Kobus, you should just drop this act of immortality on earth and admit to being the false prophet that you are, maybe then you would get delivered from that “spirit of death” that you have, and possibly save your family from further distress.

There are also rumors that Kobus van Rensburg is faking his cancer diagnosis to claim that he has been healed by God at a later stage, possibly for fame and attention, as he has never provided proof of ever being diagnosed with cancer.

  • Dion

Like you said Paul K.., he’s your prophet…

  • Ria Mey

I started to watch this clip, but it made me feel sick. Everything said about him and Ed Traut I agree with. I came out of a “church” where Mr Traut used to come and he prophesied to “only certain people”. I could never understand why only to the same people over and over again….ha….I want to be really cruel and say…get these people off the circuit!!!!! I feel ashamed to think that Kobus v Rensburg runs a church and deceiving his poor congregation. But as I said above, I came out of the same type of church….do you know what they really preach to get? Money and lots of money. I dont care if people want to crucify me for saying all this…but I have first hand experience about these false prophets. Keep on exposing them Deborah…just a pity not many people can get to know this! Bless you!

  • Werner

Apart from all the other heretic acts and teachings of Kobus, how does he know that he is a prophet? How do you, Paul, know that he is a prophet from God? Is it because he said so?

Paul admonishes believers not to go beyond the things which are written in I Cor 4:6. We are to live faithfully according to the Scriptures.

Truth and error are determined by the Word of God. I Thess 2:13 states that revelation is by means of words. It is the Scripture that contain Thus says the Lord.

So where does one get that he or she is a prophet? how do you get that? Please explain that to me?

  • Werner

    Deborah,

Have anyone on this site or yourself written anything on the false prophet: Marc Bredenkamp? Have any research been done on him?

Look at his facebook page, etc: http://www.facebook.com/ProphetMarcBredenkamp
    http://www.destiny.co.za/
    http://www.marcbredenkamp.com/category/prophecy/

The false and so called prophets say; “peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. I Thess 5:3

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Werner

He is a self proclaimed prophet which of course we know there is no such thing in this day and age.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Werner

I have and believe it or not I was actually threatened by some followers of his about 2.5+ years ago not to write anything about him because he is like another self proclaimed super duper man o’ God. Maybe I should look into him and test those waters haha

  • Robbie

*sigh* Another job for us bodyguards

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Robbie

Thanks, the cheque is in the mail ;P

  • Werner

Similar to the dominionists and kingdom now preachers, he is or has already build an entire village in KZN, with church, up-market houses and all on a single piece of ground.
Like you said, no such thing as a prophet these days, one might still hold the office a prophet, i.e. warn Gods people, but only by what has already been written.
He also makes sure you understand he has a Doctorate in Theology or some biblical subject; apparently it was awarded to him because of his superior knowledge of Greek and Hebrew.
First problem, he has now pervious formal education, so from where the superior knowledge? Second, if he did understand Greek he will notice that ‘tongue/s’ in the Greek refers to a human language throughout the bible, so from where the babble and gibberish we hear in his sermons (a so called heavenly language) thirdly, the institute who issued the honorary degree, is not to be found on the web, and the one’s I did find bearing a similar name are all fake and unaccredited. So much for integrity, but I guess he has some business skills, as credentials surely do help to sell your product or service.

    Deborah,
GOSSIP IS EVIL, and your blogs are NOTHING but that. Are there any preachers that you actually agree with or do not criticize or are you the only “correct and righteous” ones? Should you spend more time studying the Word and less on GOSSIPING you will be remarkably blessed. You WILL be judged by EVERY word……..May God forgive you WHEN YOU REPENT.
A GENUINE CHRISTIAN ???? NO EVIDENTLY NOT.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Ginny

Apparently you can’t handle the truth, so you lash out at me personally. I understand – fortunately I don’t care what you say. Exposing FALSE TEACHERS comes with the territory.

  • Werner

    Dear Ginny,

do not shy away from the issue at hand, face the facts before you head into another direction with this, it is the only logical thing to do, unless the truth hurts?

Also before you point a finger at Deborah, take the bible if you have one and read it… Rules for judging John 7:24.

True believers are expected to judge people, places, and things…I Cor 2:15, mature christians who is led and taught by the Spirit, appraises all things, i.e. they can and should scrutinize, sift, and thereby understand all things; but unbelievers and even worldly-minded believers cannot appriase (understand) them.

Please consult a dictionary in order to understand the difference between gossip and judge! Then consult your bible on the matter of judging rightly…

We are to judge scripturally, God’s Word is the only absolute and trustworthy standard, Isaih 8:15. So if your prophet or your guru is not inline with the Word, we will speak out.

No ‘persons’ on this blog is respected in judgement Prov 24:23, again we see we are expected to judge.

We are to pray for judgement ability, I Kings 3:5-12, why? so that we might serve for the good of God’s people.

The facts are given with every judgement, so why do you complain about this? None are with excuse, therefore, the false prophets, false teachers and the unrighteous must be exposed and punished for they are like well-fed lusty horses, Jer 5:1, 8.

The preventive is to judge ourselves rightly, that which none of the false prophets do nor teach.. I Cor 11:30-31.

We are merely stating the facts, is that wrong? Please indicate by means of Scripture that what we are doing is wrong, and what your guru’s are doing is right, and I will apologise to the world and you…

  • Robbie

    Ginny

And now that you got the truth once again will you still judge Deborah?
Or is this another hit and run?

  • Jennifer

Let’s stand up for Jesus! He died on the cross for everyone. Stop judging! Let’s love each other the way we are supposed 2!!

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Jennifer

Apparently you did not read the part in the bible where it shows the seriousness of the issue of false teachers and those who would corrupt the truth of God and delude the people of God.

Matthew 23:13. “But woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shake off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

and Matthew 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Paul writes to Titus to tell him he has to deal with the false teachers present in the church at Crete. Look at verse
Titus1:10, “For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers, and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision…”

In New Testament time the particular problem that the apostles faced was those who came out of the Jewish background, who professed to believe in Jesus Christ, but created an unbiblical mix of the Mosaic Law and the message of our Lord Jesus Christ. It corrupted the gospel and confused people. Paul then tells Titus in verse 11
Titus:10:11, “..who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families”.

Verse 16 says Titus 10:16 “They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.”

You do love evil Jennifer, do you? No! You love what is GOOD! Kobus van Rensburg is evil, he preaches evil doctrines, he fleeses his congregation from their hard earned money to build himself an empire, and he heals people with an occult power.

  • Jennifer

My Jesus, my saviour. My prayer for you – May you experience the power of the Holy Spirit in your life. Then the atmosphere will change around you. It’s not about Kobus, it’s about a personal relationship between you and Jesus. Try it! it is awesome. Leave Kobus alone, same with the other so called false preachers in your eyes. Look to the cross of Jesus Christ. He done it for you 2 and so for Kobus and all the other. I have an excitement in my heart that you will meet Jesus in 2012.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Jennifer

I don’t follow Kingdom Now Manifest Sons of God teaching – which is heretical and was banned in the USA in the 1940’s by the Assemblies of God Church. Open your eyes to what you are following.

  • Fran

[deleted – if you like con-artists that lie and twist the gospel truth then go ahead, but I will open my mouth and warn and shout it out from the hill tops that the van Rensburgs are nothing but Charlatans and need to repent to Jesus Christ and stop what they are doing.]

  • KHAMBULE SAMUEL

Prophet kobus van rensburg is a true prophet of God.He will not die but live to proclaim the good news of christ, this is just a thorn in his flesh. Those that trust in the lord shall never be put to shame.

Jennifer and Ginny: I really feel sorry for the people who get duped by these so-called prophets of God. There’s usually a messy trail of hurt and disillusioned people – the walking wounded, who end up refusing to ever go back to church again after escaping from the clutches of these false prophets. I am speaking from my own experience with one of these two ‘prophets’ mentioned above and I am not the only one – there are MANY who have turned away from church because of the lack of love, the condemnation, the threats (even lawyers letters), the extreme control, etc of this leader! Is this how Jesus taught us to love the world? No…..I don’t think so. The word ‘cult’ comes to mind. I am reminded of the scripture, referring to shepherds and their sheep in Ezek34:
Woe to the shepherds of Israel who only take care of themselves! Should not the shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the curds, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock. You have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally. So they were scattered because there was no shepherd, and when they were scattered they became food for all the wild animals.
Then it goes on in verse 10 to say this: This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against the shepherds and will hold them accountable for my flock. I will remove them from tending the flock so that the shepherds can no longer feed themselves. I will rescue my flock from their mouths, and it will no longer be food for them…..
Gal 6:7: Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
I witnessed the deception. I believe that the Holy Spirit gave me discernment on many occasions as to what was really going on – and all these things were later confirmed to me as correct, by leaders who had left his church, and had first-hand knowledge that these things had indeed happened or taken place. This was the confirmation I had prayed for that I was indeed hearing correctly from the Holy Spirit.
We are living in a day and age where we need sharp discernment that comes through a close relationship with the Holy Spirit. It’s available to us all. The five-fold ministry is available to us all. We are all meant to be prophets and priests, not just a select few.

[deleted – you judge me while pointing out that I supposedly judge others – smart, verrrry verrryyyy smart.]

  • Pastor Ceasar

Prophet Kobus is a man of God and a manifesting son of God as Jesus was, Kobus is working of Romans 8:19. remember guyz even Jesus himself was rejected as a servant of god let alone son of god so i dont see the different now for what people talk about Prophet Kobus

  • Speak God's Word Only

    (Deu 30:19)
I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live
(Rom 8:13) -[EDITED by DTW – Kobusnites are known for their death threats]
For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever. -[EDITED by DTW – Kobusnites are known for their death threats]
    (Rev 21:8)
But as for the cowards and the ignoble and the contemptible and the cravenly lacking in courage and the cowardly submissive, and as for the unbelieving and faithless, and as for the depraved and defiled with abominations, and as for murderers and the lewd and adulterous and the practicers of magic arts and the idolaters (those who give supreme devotion to anyone or anything other than God) and all liars (those who knowingly convey untruth by word or deed)–[all of these shall have] their part in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone. This is the second death. [Isa. 30:33.] [Edited by DTW – if Kobus was not a cult leader I would take your quoting of biblical scripture seriously]

Jesus Christ was not recognized by many even today. Well, I need to hear from you the following: what is the best church in the world, who is the real prophet / teacher today so that we should not be misled. Make sure that you supply all the details. (the word of God is alive and active; sharper than any double sided sword)

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Simone

    >> what is the best church in the world

There is no such thing. The church is not a building and everyone contained inside. The church or body of Christ is made up of individual born again Christians around the world and is spiritual. You can have a church and have not one saved person inside the church because the church follows false teaching. You can have another church with only a few saved individuals inside it’s walls because the narrow is the gate that leads to life. Matthew 7:13-14; “13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

    >> who is the real prophet / teacher today so that we should not be misled.

Here you go: Are Prophets for Today or has Prophecy Ceased?

Now supply scripture to back up what you write please.

  • Marion

    Simone asked…

    >>>who is the real prophet/teacher today so that we should not be misled…

Since you mention the “word of God” in your comment, I’m surprised you don’t know and would need to ask such a question of any other human being, since the answer is plainly given there…

    the answer is…

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
    Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
    Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” (Heb. 1:1-4)

Kobus is going thru a difficult time and it is unkind to judge him, Jesus wouldnt do that, the real Christians should also be moved with compassion. It is a waste of time argue with his critics nor agree with his supporters, the exchange of words can take years with no winner, it will only stir up strife which will benefit neither side. Kobus’ sickness should not be a matter of strife and debate. God knows all things and we’ll trust Him to pull him through. The fact that he died several times and came back from the dead is a miracle. My prayers are with Kobus and his family. I speak grace to his critics and supporters. Every one living on this earth has critics. Even Jesus had critics while he was on earth (the Pharisees and Saducees). Not everyone believed that He was the Son of God. It’s better to focus on and obey God than to worry about what people are saying about you, otherwise you will be discouraged. I love you all (both critics and supporters). Now let’s call for a cease fire in Jesus name.

  • Luke

    Hello.

    Here is the first question:
Does the Lord as revealed in the Bible change from time to time?

    Hebrews 13:8
    King James Version (KJV)
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

As I understand this the Lord doesn’t change over time.

    4 more Questions:
1.How do we know who is a prophet
2.How do you know if they are from God
3.What is the work of a true prophet
    4.Can we trust a prophet

Verses to check about testing a prophet:
Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.”
2 Peter 1:21 “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”
Numbers 12:6 “If there be a prophet amoung you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.”
Acts 3:21 “God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.”
1 Thess 5:20,21 “Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things, hold fast that which is good.”
2 Chronicles 20:20 “Believe in the Lord youR God, so shall ye be established, believe His prophets, so shall ye prosper.”
Matt 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
1 John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”
Luke 1:76-79 “And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

    Testing a prophet:
    1. A true prophet message must be in harmony with the word of God including the Law of God.
Isaiah 8:20 “To the law and Testimony; if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
Lam 2:9 “Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.”

    2. A true prophet’s predictions must come true:
Deu 18:22 “When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.”

    3. A prophet edifies God’s people:
1 Cor 14:3,4 “But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.”

    4. A true prophet exalts Christ as the Son of God:
1 John 4:15 “Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.”
Luke 24:27 “And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.”

    5. A true prophet speaks with authority:
Matt 7:29 “For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.”

    6. A true prophet will bear good fruit:
Matt 7:20 “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

    7. A true prophet will exhibit definite physical sings when in vision:
    a. Prophet eyes are open during vision:
Numbers 24:4 “He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:”
    b. A true prophet first falls down and has no strength, is then strengthened, but has no breath (even when speaking) while in vision:
Daniel 10:7-18 “And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,”

7 points to test a prophet.

Eph 4:12-14 “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”

The prophet of islam and kobus van rensburg has the same doctrine speaking against the Law of God.
They both fail the first test, false prophets.

If you believe God changes over time, and split the Bible into parts then you can’t test a prophet, you can became a muslim, mormon or a mason, they teach that doctrine.

Miracle and sign seekers are on the opposite side of God. When Pilate sent Jesus to Herod,Herod was excited because he hoped to see miracles…instead Jesus chose to remain silent and did nothing…yet our Lord never denied the poorest beggar or lepper his sight or healing, but denied a pompous king.

The same Jesus rules today…He does not show signs and wonders to appease man’s love of sensationalism but does His own healing, not at man’s command and demand but where He sees the real need. These people who crusade healing on stages are showing where they belong.

When I was a young Christian, I often wondered why Jesus told those He healed to KEEP QUIET. Now I understand…Jesus knew what was devious in the heart of man and his love of sensationalism and “showmanship”.

Sorry,my namesake above, serves the wrong Jesus…he is a people pleaser and sensation seeker who enjoys having his ears tickled.

On the contrary Deborah works very hard despite her fighting against a debilitating condition and helps people turn from paths that lead to hell.

Michael you need to turn to the real Lord Jesus Christ of the bible and repent.

Critising the anointed of God will get you into deep trouble. Whoever is anointed although just man with plenty of faults is still anointed by God and whosoever tries to go against them shall be struck down. Careful with your words.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Sam

No you be careful with your words. All you guys can do is threaten me, what kind of a ‘Christian’ trait is that? Kobus is a FALSE TEACHER FORM THE PIT OF HELL. He is not anointed by God, but by Satan to preach a FALSE GOSPEL.

Kobus annointed of God? Do you know that ‘annointed’ means Christ? And do you know what Jesus himself said about ‘many Christs’ in the last days?

    G5547 Χριστός Christos (khris-tos’) n/p.
    1. (literally) Anointed
    2. (transliterated) “Christ”
    3. (properly) the Messiah, the Anointed One of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

Matthew 24:5 “5 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ [ANNOINTED],’ and they will mislead many.

    WAKE UP.

  • Micheline

    Debs,
For the first time I understand this “anointed” business. Thank you for explaining it so wonderfully!!!!!!

It’s funny how people from charismatic churches can make you feel inadequate and even guilty for not having this “anointing”. I went to a Living Word church once, where they were praying over people to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Some people around me fell like flies. Then it was my turn…I felt nothing, no feeling of wanting to fall over. Then I remembered the pastor saying that if you don’t fall over then you must be filled with sin and probably not a true Christian…..now my confession….to save face, I faked it. There, I’ve said it! I never went back to that church. I was told later that that pastor was chucked out of the church because he had an affair with the organist.

I believe the Lord has always watched over me, letting me try things and then pointing me into a different direction. It is only now that I am starting to listen to Him, really seeking Him. I have so many things to be ashamed of but I believe in the crucifiction of Christ, the gift of removing all my sins.

Some people want signs and wonders, “magic”, they want gifts like to “heal” people and speak in funny languages. I am totally at peace with the ONLY gift I have received and that is the gift of Jesus Christ, my saviour.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Micheline

People from charismatic churches have a way with words when it comes to just about anything. When I first got saved, I knew nothing of Christianity, so I went to a church down the road from my house, a New Apostolic church (lol) I didn’t know at the time there was such a thing as false Christianity. And I needed some assistance, so the old pastor says he will pray for me. Next minute there are 4 other people with the arms stretched out, hands extended praying for me too.

So I start praying. After about a minute, the pastor stops and says…”no no, no… are you praying??” and I said, “yes I am.” he says, “No, stop it, you can’t receive from God if you are speaking to God.” I had no idea what that meant so I took this PASTORS advice (because I knew nothing back then – gosh I had been saved for all of 4 days) and I stopped praying. Next minute I feel this warmth come over me and I find myself falling backwards as if onto a puffy cloud, I felt so happy and warm.

After a few minutes I got up (the pastor and others had long gone and just left me lying on the floor which I though was very rude – because I still wanted to tell him the problem I was facing). Anyhow after I walked out the church, it felt as if this ‘Holy Spirit’ that I received stayed behind, because as I left the through the church door, I became cold, I felt dead, like I was in a mortuary. I thought to myself, “this is not right, surely the Holy Spirit is supposed to come with me, not stay behind?” So I went to another church, looking for help. All I wanted was to get baptized. What a mission that was. lol. Anyhow, I have long since asked Jesus forgiveness for being ‘slain in the spirit’ and He removed any demonic affliction over my life because of it.

  • Martin Horan

I was in the Worldwide Church of God. They followed a man called Herbert W. Armstrong who blatantly twisted the Scriptures to line his own pocket.
In spite of the fact that he has been rumbled time and time again, people put him on a par with Jesus Christ and, although his words clearly contradicted Scripture, his followers put those words on a par with it and still do.
To this day Armstrong rules people from the grave. Whenever his “teachings” are challenged, his disciples react exactly like the people who are this Kobus’ disciples.
Actually, it’s the same with people in all cults who follow leaders. They put them on a par with our Lord and Saviour. In fact, they worship these men by doing so and are blind to the fact.
I’d never heard of Kobus before I read the above but I have heard of many just like him and read their “teachings” and I think I’ll hear a lot more of these people till Christ’s return. And I’m sure I’ll also hear their defenders making the same claims and excuses as these defenders of Kobus.
Isn’t it interesting how people who follow men–Buddha, Mohammad, Calvin, David Ike, Benny Hinn, popes, &c.–always follow the same thinking patterns and refuse to budge from them?
It is so difficult to get through to these deluded folk as these they read Scripture which must conform to what they’re taught as opposed to their teachings conformning first to Scripture.

  • Michael

On a lighter note (perhaps not so light on second thoughts)

Wonder what would happen if Kobus,Benny,Joyce,At,Creflo, Joel and many of the prosperity gang were confronted by the Lord and He said “sell all you have and come follow me”?????

“Isn’t it interesting how people who follow men–Buddha, Mohammad, Calvin, David Ike, Benny Hinn, popes, &c.–always follow the same thinking patterns and refuse to budge from them?”

These are sheeplike characteristics in persons that lack a strong, reliable and trustworthy father figure or leader…it is quite sad because there is only one that has these characteristics is God the Father as He represented Himself to us in the flesh.

On top of that it is man’s sinful nature to allow himself to be duped and follow the wrong path…so much so that his inate vanities can idolise that which is false and worthless.

Go to your bedroom and pray for forgiveness and pray for Prophet Kobus van Rensburg if you think he is wrong. Why do you shout bad hings form roofs or on internet what do you think God would have done. If you pray and ask God to lead you shouw you you would have gone to Kobus van Rensburg yourself not spreading the news like you are doing on the internet. Like God said to the people the one who is with out sin cast a stone, where are you standing with out sin????????????? You know one of Gods men Lucas he was a doctor why do you think he also used a doctor in his ministrie God used mud to open peoples eyes. Dont you think God gave men the power to invent the tlephone, machines example xtrays, sonars and medicene to help his children to be helped to find out what is wrong. Nobody is perfect but you know one sad thing GOD LIVES INSIDE EACH PERSON ON THE EARTH AND IF YOU SAY SOMETHING BAD ABOUT A PERSON YOU ATTACKING GOD HIMSELF BY TELLING GOD HE IS BAD OR EVIL ESPECIALLY IF YOU NEVER WENT TO THE PERSON YOU ARE ATTACKING VIA INTERNET SO PLEASE GO TO YOUR BEDROOM AND FALL ON YOUR KNEES AND PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER AND GOD WILL DO THE CHANGES WHERE NEEDED. GOD BLESS ALL THE PEOPLE AND PLEASE MAKE CHANGES WHERE NEEDED WE ASK IT IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRT AMEN

    Verkeerd Lynette!

God does not live inside EACH person on earth.

If God uses all those wonderful doctors and scientists to heal and invent… why should He not use watchmen to warn, reprove, expose, correct… and of course… pray!!!

    3. (improperly, though very common) a person who identifies himself as a Christian only because he does not identify with another religion
    4. (transliterated) “Christian”

    KJV: Christian

There is no such thing. The church is not a building and everyone contained inside. The church or body of Christ is made up of individual born again Christians around the world and is spiritual. You can have a church and have not one saved person inside the church because the church follows false teaching. You can have another church with only a few saved individuals inside it’s walls because the narrow is the gate that leads to life. Matthew 7:13-14; “13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

its written in the word of God Jesus did not come to take away Law and Prophets but to fulfil them, when a person judge its spiritual meaning that you are sent forth by God by the Holy Spirit to bring repentance or judgement-life or death- even when judgement begins in the house of God, the real issue in all are to judge means you must be yourself innocent and holy found . A opinion speaking against-are gossip- any person even though the other person is guilty or not of false hood, rather as a child of God go to the person and say to this person repent. Make sure when give comment that the word spoken of God always be justified according to His will. What I have read about him is of the same ilk we have here. Lies for the Gullible to feast on and seems you have been feasting at the table for Wolves a long time now.

2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Take note of 2nd Tim. 3:6. These wolves creep into homes via radio, TV, dvd’s etc and take captive silly women.

I am a woman and sometimes I can be silly; but I am not a “silly woman.” I don’t care how much a person thinks they know or wants to appearing that they know I wouldn’t sit 3 minutes listening to a lesson when the speaker didn’t have his Bible open. Satan know the Word of God better than you or me or even Deborah does. I study 5 to 6 hours a day myself but that doesn’t put me in a better standing with God. It just means I have the time and lifestyle to do so.

You would do yourself well to open up your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit teach you…oh yeah, don’t forget to READ it too. In fact I challenge you to. You’ve been fooled by at least one Wolf…better get to reading your Bible.

Christian doesn’t mean Anointed One. It means Little Christ or one who follows Christ. Jesus Christ is the Anointed one, not us. The early Jewish Christians were named Christians at Antioch. Read the Word.
