Joyce Meyer – “Look at Her Fruit”

Joyce Meyer - "Look at Her Fruit"

joyce meyer look at their fruitJoyce Meyer – Let’s take a REAL GOOD LOOK at her ‘fruit’

Regarding Joyce Meyer and others, whenever genuinely concerned Christians warn others against false teachers and their false doctrines, the matter is usually put to rest with the adage “Look at their fruit.” The question we need to ask is: what do those who readily defend their favourite teachers and preachers with this ready-made adage, mean by “fruit?” When asked to define the fruit, most of them say it is:

  1. Their loving and compassionate disposition.
  2. Their kindness to others.
  3. Their positive attitude toward others by not putting them down and telling them they are lost sinners unless they repent.
  4. Their huge affluence and philanthropic zeal to help the poor. Joyce Meyer has become a very popular speaker. She certainly is one of the well-known and best-paid TV preachers (especially for women). Her ministry revenues have steadily increased from 1998 where they took in 40 million, to 1999 they brought in 55 million, to 2000 70 million, to 2001 near 80 million, to 2002 near 90 million. Today her Life in the Word organization estimates to take in $95 million this year. The ministry says it spends about 10 percent – $880,000 a month – on charitable works around the globe. » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »

What is More Dangerous – Terrorism or Deception?

What is More Dangerous – Terrorism or Deception?
False Teachers, The Real Terrorists of Your Soul - Deception

These are the real terrorists. They are not killing your body. They are killing your soul and smiling all the way to the bank.

Terrorism or Deception – What is More Dangerous?

The recent terrorist attacks in France have once again drawn the world’s attention to the fact that we are living in a very dangerous world. In fact, the understatement of the year would probably be: “Terrorism is on the increase worldwide.”

A recent study shows that the fatalities linked to terrorism are up 60 percent. Alan Cowell of the New York Times reports (18 November 2014).

LONDON — As Western governments grapple with heightened apprehension about the spread of Islamic militancy, an independent study on Tuesday offered little solace, saying the number of fatalities related to terrorism soared 60 percent last year. » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »

Charles Haddon Spurgeon: The Prince of Preachers

Charles Haddon Spurgeon

“I do not come into this pulpit hoping that perhaps somebody will of his own free will return to Christ. My hope lies in another quarter. I hope that my Master will lay hold of some of them and say, ‘You are mine, and you shall be mine. I claim you for myself.’ My hope arises from the freeness of grace, and not from the freedom of the will.’”   – Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Charles Haddon Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892), also known as the Prince of Preachers, allegedly preached to approximately 10 000 000 souls. We cannot assert with absolute certainty that all of them are now in heaven because it is impossible to know who among them were the elect.

Not even Charles could have known whether all of them, some of them or any of them are in heaven because he never knew whether his Master had lain hold of them. In fact, he could only express the hope that his Master had sovereignly and monergistically lain hold of some of them.

On Spurgeon’s hope that God will lay hold on some and say to them “You are mine and you shall be mine, I claim you for myself” J Vernon McGee paraphrased Spurgeon as follows:

Prof Johan Malan – A Gospel of Works – Losing your Salvation (Part 1)

Prof Johan Malan - A Gospel of Works - Losing your Salvation (Part 1)

Prof Johan Malan-A Gospel of Works - losing your salvationRecently I (Deborah) reconciled with Prof. Johan Malan and asked forgiveness over publishing an article on his relationship with Calvinists.  See  apology here:    Prof Malan states that his theological views have not been altered, that he is still against Calvinism even though he befriends Calvinists. Right. We will let Prof Malan befriend who ever he wants.

Prof. Johan Malan has over the years publish articles pointing out the doctrinal errors of others, so we here at DTW believe he should not be upset if we take a look at his beliefs.

1) Prof Malan believes you can lose your salvation.

He says “One could even go further than Dave Hunt in refuting hyper-Calvinism. On the fifth principle of Calvinism, i.e. eternal security (once-saved-always-saved) Dave actually agrees with the Calvinists, although he gives other reasons for doing so. He also believes that a Christian cannot backslide to the extent of losing his salvation. But the whole Bible expresses itself against this wrong view. Eternal security is only in Christ, and as long as we abide in Him we can be sure of it. But if we don’t abide in Him we forfeit our salvation (cf. John 15:4-6).”  [Emphasis added]  http://www.bibleguidance.co.za/Engarticles/Calvinism-crit.htm » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »

John MacArthur’s Unanswerable Questions?

John MacArthur's Unanswerable Questions?

John MacArthur’s Unanswerable Questions?

This is probably the most profound and “spiritual” (and most hilarious) thing one of the most distinguished and high-profile preachers of our day has said this century. (Read here.)

John MacArthur said the following when a little kid asked him one of the most important questions there is to be asked, and for that matter, ought to be asked by every sound thinking adult who knows how to use his brains effectively.

Question:
[A very young Child]: I listened to your sermon last Sunday, and I was wondering, why didn’t God choose everybody to be saved? [Tom’s comment: “Kids seem to listen more intently to sermons than adults.”) » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »

The Legacy of John Calvin – Part 3

The Legacy of John Calvin – Part 3

John Calvin

John Calvin and the doctrine of Calvinism’s Esotericism

Whenever the mind is riddled with confusion, perplexity and puzzlement ESOTERICISM seems to be the magic wand that settles and puts it to rest. The dictionary defines the word ‘esoteric’ in the following way: ‘understood by or meant for only the select few who have special knowledge or interest.’ Esotericism is therefore the state or quality of being esoteric. The less knowledgeable and skilful become easy prey for the select few whose esotericisms befuddle their ability to think and decide for themselves. Calvinists assert that no one ought to question or contradict Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian Religion at face value because it is a very difficult and esoteric subject and its profound truths cannot be fathomed instantaneously. It takes years to comprehend it. However, the Bible itself claims that it was written for the simple:

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. (1Corinthians 1:26-29). » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »

Calvinists Justify the Known Murderer, John Calvin.

Calvinists Justify the Known Murderer, John Calvin.

John Calvin -Murderer

Known Murderer, John Calvin

Incarcerated criminals who’d received lifelong prison sentences often use foolhardy lackeys to do their dirty work for them. Many crimes are committed by proxy, exonerating the mafia masterminds in jail of some of the most heinous murders – thanks to the stupid lackeys who revere, fear and even worship their bosses in prison. It is a well-documented fact that John Calvin wielded great power over civil and ecclesiastical authorities and could sway the masses to dance to his tune like a proper Pied the Piper (No, I’m not referring to John Piper).

A master of the art of organization, Calvin had been able to transform a whole city, a whole State, whose numerous burghers had hitherto been freemen, into a rigidly obedient machine; had been able to extirpate independence, and to lay an embargo on freedom of thought in favour of his own exclusive doctrine. The powers of the State were under his supreme control; as wax in his hands were the various authorities, Town Council and Consistory, university and law-courts, finance and morality, priests and schools, catchpoles and prisons, the written and the spoken and even the secretly whispered word. His doctrine had become law, and anyone who ventured to question it was soon taught–by arguments that burked discussion, by the arguments of every spiritual tyranny, by jail, exile, or burning at the stake–how in Geneva only one truth was valid, the truth of which Calvin was the prophet. » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »

Todd Bentley (Fresh with the Fires of Hell) visiting South Africa – BEWARE!

Todd Bentley (Fresh with the Fires of Hell) visiting South Africa - BEWARE!

todd bentley freshfire ministries

I know this article is a tad late, but I beg you if you went to see Todd Bentley on his South African Crusade Tour with “Prophet Zion

Matthew” in Durban, followed by visits to the Solid Rock Church in Johannesburg run by Johan van Wyk (who got into a bit of trouble by the Advertising Standards Authority over “miracle healing” adverts), Jabulani Camp Site in Bronkhorstspruit, then Worcester (hosted by YWAM) and finally to Cape Town at Lighthouse Ministries and Celebration Covenant Church International which belongs to the NCMI group headed up by Tyrone Daniels…..please, please, please ask Jesus for forgiveness for going to see this false teacher and ask Jesus to remove any demonic spirit that might have been transferred to you at these meetings.   Todd Bentley’s doctrine is out of the pit of hell and this is where his ‘fire’ comes from as well.

A short history of Todd Bentley:  Todd started the Lakeland Outpouring back in 2008 in Lakeland Florida which I watched from the beginning to it’s dismal end.  The ‘revival’ was run by a heavily tattood man by the name of Todd Bentley but in the background you had Apostles and Prophets from the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) holding things together, namely, Super Apostle C. Peter Wagner, Rick Joyner, Bob Jones (Kansas City Prophets), Mike Bickle, Paul Cain, Che Ahn, Lou Engle, Stacey and Wes Campbell., Dutch Sheets, Patricia King and many others. Magazines like Charizma Magazine promoted the revival and Wendy and Rory Alec from God TV gave it ample air time.  » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »

Jacob Prasch the Railer

Jacob Prasch the Railer

Jacob PraschDTW exposed Jacob Prasch from Moriel Ministries here:   Jacob Prasch – Twisting Scripture the Midrash Way.   Not long after the article was published, Jacob Prasch unfortunately graced us with his presence and commented on the blog.  Jacob Prasch had nothing nice to say;  it was so bad that he even emailed us and told us there was No Euphemism for a Liar and then continued to insult, ridicule, demonize, and slander us.

Someone did a summary count of all the nasty, vile things he said.  I went and did a full recount of what Jacob Prasch actually said in the comments section – shockingly this only includes 4 comments and 2 emails and excludes a comment of Jacob Prasch’s I deleted.

Kobus van Rensburg and his Tower of Babel

Kobus van Rensburg and his Tower of Babel

Kobus van Rensburg - False ProphetIt has come to DTW’s attention that Kobus van Rensburg from Spirit Word Ministries feels it absolutely necessary to pray for the entire area of Stilfontein on a regular basis.  Now this sounds normal to the unlearned, the problem is, Kobus van Rensburg is not a genuine Christian, he is a false prophet, who teaches the doctrine of Latter Rain / Manifest Sons of God (New Apostolic Reformation).  He is a faith healer, that preys on the sick and those seeking a miracle.  He has built an empire from the money that falls into his collection baskets given to him by people who have health issues and seek God through Kobus van Rensburg as their mediator to heal them.

But now it would appear Kobus is not close enough to God, or is having a problem hearing Him and has built a tower to enter daily and pray over the community.

Yes, I will repeat that in case you think I am joking…. » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »
