Chris Oyakhilome – Jesus is NOT Gods Word anymore, You are!!
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome says: You Are God’s Word! – March 23rd, 2010
“God gives us His Words for the purpose of making us His word…”
“Do you know you are God’s Word? When you were born again, you were born by the Word of God. This means your destiny in the realm of the Spirit is to be the Word of God because you were born by the word of God. It means your nature is of the Word and your character is of the word. Glory to God!
Mountains and hills refer to authority (Isaiah 55:1- 12) and they shall break forth before you; the trees which are people shall clap their hands as you pass by! Isn’t this awesome? That’s what God’s word says about you. Are you ready to accept it and function therein? — [Emphasis added]

The Entrance of Thy Words – a teaching by a supposed ‘man of God’, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome – learn more on this unbiblical FALSE identity…
Chris Oyakhilome you blaspheme. To think you are a god or on the way to becoming one is heretical. You should be bowing before Jesus Christ, but you want Him to bow down to you. Christ Oyakhilome please repent of this vile doctrine before it’s too late.
What does the bible say, who is the only one that is divine?
Divinity of Jesus Christ
John 1:1-5
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
The Word of God Made Flesh, that is Jesus Christ
John 1:14-18
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
John 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
This is the exact same thing that Satan said to Adam and Even in the garden of Eden:
Genesis 3:4-6
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
This is what God thinks of mere men who want to be Him:
Ezekiel 28:1-2,6-10
Ezek 28:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
Ezek 28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
Ezek 28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;
Ezek 28:7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.
Ezek 28:8 They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.
Ezek 28:9 Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.
Ezek 28:10 Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

The Bible says, “I said, You are gods” – But is this entirely true?
Many a preacher today teaches that we are gods, or little gods, based on the incorrect interpretation of scripture. Some are very subtle in the way they teach this message, others come out right and just say it.
The verse they will show you to try prove their point is John 10:34; “Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”‘?
But let me explain what Jesus really meant:
Jesus was in dialogue with the Jews of His day and quoting from the Old Testament Psalms, saying: “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”‘? The Jews wanted to stone Jesus for calling God His Father and making Himself equal with God. So Jesus quotes Pslam 82 to them to show the distinction between himself and those in Pslam 82 who were called ‘gods’.
Pslam 82 was written AGAINST certain unjust rulers in Israel’s history. Men of high distinction (Judges/Rulers) were almost seen as gods because of the power they wielded over the nation. The problem is these men were UNJUST. Verse 82:2 says: “How long will you judge unjustly, And show partiality to the wicked? and verses 6-7 say, 6 “I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.” 7 But you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.” So these rulers are not gods, they were given this name by mere men, but were they still children of God? Yes. But they will die like everyone else. So the point Jesus was making was that if unjust rulers can be called gods (by men), how can the Jews who wanted to stone Him object to Him saying that he was the Son of God?
Can you see how easily scripture gets twisted and the next minute you have men and women running around teaching New Age teachings under the banner of Christianity.
BEWARE of ANYONE who tells you that you can be a God or Christ. When you become a born again Christian you grow to become more Christ-like, you DO NOT become like Christ or a Christ or anything Divine for that matter. However in Charismatic churches you do; you become a little god – ‘Faith’ becomes an actual force that you wield at your command as you speak things into existence. This is totally and utterly occult. The New Age religion believes in something similar, that each person is a god/goddess, they just have not realised it yet – a god trapped in a human body part of a huge cosmos – trying to turn the world into one spiritual tower of Babel.
THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD:
1. Deuteronomy 4:35,39 – Unto thee it was shown, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him. (39) Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
2. Deuteronomy 6:4 – Hear, O Israel: The LORD thy God is one LORD. [Note in Mark 12:28-34 how Jesus and a Jewish scribe he encountered understood this text.]
3. Deuteronomy32:39 – See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
4. 2 Samuel 7:22 – Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God; for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
5. 1 Kings 8:60 – That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.
6. 2 KINGS 5:15 – And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel; now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
7. 2 Kings 19:15 – And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.
8. 1 Chronicles 17:20 – O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
9. Nehemiah 9:6 – Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou has made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
10. Psalm 18:31 – For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
11. Psalm 86:10 – For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
12. Isaiah 37:16,20 – O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou has made heaven and earth. (20) Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.
13. Isaiah43:10,11 – Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior.
14. Isaiah44:6,8 – Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Fear ye not, neither be afraid; have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
15. Isaiah 45:21 – Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time: who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me.
16. Isaiah 46:9 – For I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.
17. Hosea 13:4 – Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me; for there is no savior beside me.
18. Joel 2:27 – And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
19. Zechariah 14:9 – And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
20. Mark 12:29-34 -And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
21. John 17:3 – And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
22. Romans 3:30 – Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
23. 1 Corinthians 8:4-6 – As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
24. Galatians 3:20 – Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
25. Ephesians 4:6 – One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
26. 1 Timothy 1:17 – Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
27. 1 Timothy 2:5 – For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
28. James 2:19 – Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
thanks for the clip, Deborah! amazing how this people (well most of them) can distort the Bible like that! There’ll be a lot of hand-clapping going on all over if this is true, hey?
Replacement theology, one of the heresies of reformed theology, believes that the church has replaced Israel as a nation. Henceforth all the blessings (please note: never the curses)have been transferred to the church. But this is impossible because the church as an entity (body of Christ)with the middle wall of partition broken down between Jews and Gentiles (Ephesians 2:11-17)was a mystery (unknown) in the Old Testament (Colossians 1:26). A mystery (“musterion”) is something that was unknown in the past but is now revealed to God’s saints.
The prophet Isaiah describes the reinstatement of the remnant of Israel at Jesus’ Second Advent (not the Rapture) when He will set up his Millennium Kingdom on earth with its headquarters in Jerusalem. Even nature will be joyful then and metaphorically “clap their hands.” (Isaiah 55:12b). Paul says of this: “For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]. (Romans 8: 19). This is going to occur, as I said, when He establishes his Millennium reign on earth and vast changes in nature are going to take place (Isaiah 65:25).
I am just beginning to learn about Replacement Theology.. It’s extremely disturbing. It reads as if this docrtine would be in the gospel of Judas, which is a heresy.
My prayers are for my friends that have been swept away by this, “HATH GOD SAID THEOLOGY.” And yes, I do understand that the palatibilty of a doctrine does not determine it’s veracity.
I confronted a Chris Oyakhilome fan with this exposé and she replied- I am a god, just read Psalm 82:
Psa 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Psa 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
Say what?
Fanie
Do you want the short and simple answer to this, or the short and simple answer to this? Ok I will give you the short and simple answer:
Psa 82:1 A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
Psa 82:2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
Psa 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Psa 82:4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psa 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
Psa 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Psa 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
Psa 82:8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
This is speaking about men, kings who were judges, they defended, judged and gave out justice and sometimes were unjust themselves – they held the power of gods/judges but are still the children of the Most High. They have the power of a little god or little judge on earth but they will die like men. <— this points to the fact that this verse is NOT speaking about divinity.
The "I wanna be a little god crowd" love to quite that verse. Got nothing to do with being an actual god but a judge. Like the highest constitutional judge in SA would be what this psalm would refer to as a god (the power he/she wields over the people of the nation) But God created the world and will HE will judge the world including these little human judges.
Faan, vergelyk bietjie Ex.22:9 met “strongsH430” Hier praat hulle van “Judges” en gebruik dieselfde verwysing as in Ps 82.
Look also…Isa 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Dan 3:29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
Se vir haar sy beter haar huis oppas!

Ja want anders gaan die huis so lyk ne julle lol lol
On a more serious note yes, those are the Joyce Meyer favorite ones too they just forget/refuse to read on and see what the Lord God says actually he is admonishing these people who think they are little gods. God is very upset with the people in this verse. The small letter g is used here in the Scripture take note.
Im not a member of Christ Embassy , and I thought whoever posted this video was going to post proof that Chris O said
” Jesus is nolonger the word of God” which they havent. Personally, i dont see anthing wrong with what he’s saying in your upload. We are born of the Word of God – born of incorruptible seed. We are called to be the manisfestation of God’s glory, which we cannot be unless we are re-created after the nature of God which we are. People, we have got the divine life of God living in us. We are called to virtue and glory.

You are born of the word of God? Really?
a similar thing happened in bible days when the jews wanted to stone Jesus for so called blasphemy (john 10).. in the vrs 34 Jesus replied quoting from psalm 82.. that even God called them gods.. the reason why he said they will die like men is bcos they know not.. and neither will they understand.
read john 1: 13.. and tell God that He doesn’t know wat He is talkin about when he says that we have been born again not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man but of GOD..
and then read 1 peter 1:23.. where he says we have been born again by the word of God. now if u r born of the word, wat else can u be but the word of God.. before Jesus death and resurection he was called the only begotten son of God.. after His resurection he was called the first begotten, cos as many as believed in Him, He gave them power to become sons of God.. and he calls us brethren.. if we are joint heirs with him and have His life.. wat else are we??.. romans 8:29 tells us that we have been predestined to be conformed to the image of His son.. so what is the image of His son.. is it not the word??
you see in your ignorance.. you think you are being humble by sayin you are not the word of God.. why dont u jus study the word for your self.. forget the assumptions.. forget the hear say.. and the let the holy spirit guide you into all truth!
cos there is a first adam .. and there is a second
there is an old creation .. and a new creation
there is the old covenant.. and a new covenant
forget what anyone said and look at what the word says
Kwawa
There is a difference between being saved by Jesus Christ and growing, being sanctified to change and live a holy life because of the Holy Spirit that abides in a born again Christian’s life compared too WoF teaching that believes that when you are saved you actually become a little god on earth. And you back up this horrendous teaching buy saying, “if u r born of the word, wat else can u be but the word of God”. NO, you are NOT the Word of God. YOU ARE NOT JESUS CHRIST.
If you are now a little Jesus Christ walking this earth, then heaven help us all.
Blasphemy.
you see that is the mistake you are making.. im not saying i am a lil god now or a lil jesus christ .. no!
i am saying exactly wat God has said.. that
i am a son of God john 1:12
born of the word john 1: 13
Kwaku
What were you saying?
You can’t go and replace words, or mix and match words or play word games to make up your own bible as you go along.
What bible are you reading? The Chris Oyakhhilome hijacked version?
John 1 (New King James Version)
The Eternal Word
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John’s Witness: The True Light
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own,and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
The Word Becomes Flesh
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”
16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
There is your answer, clear as daylight.
The End.
It is indeed such a travesty and a tragedy in the church today to see men like Chris Oyakhilome promulgate the damnable heresies and lying vanities which are to e found all through both the doctrine and the practice within the congregational “fellowships” across the globe. I am not against anyone really. I do stand on the side of God, as I am led to believe the beloved brethren of ‘discerning the world’ also make it their careful business to do on this side of eternity.
Kwaku, may I humbly offer you a kind and loving word of counsel on this matter…? Simply believe exactly what the Bible says concerning you and nothing less but ALSO nothing more than that. When the Holy Spirit says in His word of life that we are sons of God, we must also be able to understand this spiritual truth is ONLY made true by the fact that we are born of Christ, THE Son of God. So, it should be plain and simple to rightly discern that if it were not for Christ, we would not be sons of God. Now, it isn’t so much that the word of God is not being cited and/or quoted wrongly by these people, but rather – How is it being applied?
If I say that “I am a son of God” in the contextual meaning of “I’m so highly lifted up and above the rest of you” or “I’m only made for good (material/temporal) things in this world and in this life” or “I’m the very glory of Christ”…then such a one is misled and deceives himself. For this is not what the Scriptures imply and/or mean in what it says.
Twisting of the truth is heresy. Choosing what we desire to believe and confess as a “positive confession” is heresy. And emphasizing Scriptural truths to the exaltation of the self-nature is a damnable heresy indeed!! Dear Deborah has pointed out the profound and dangerous error in doing this here, and it behooves the prudent and wise man to receive rebuke and correction and to take heed to his/her way. We do not know everything. We cannot know everything. And we are given the holy Scriptures to reprove everything which we hear in the bible’s validating light and final authority. And if we follow the main theme of the teachings of Pastor Christ and exercise our spiritual sensibility to listen to the voice of the Spirit and the living word, we will find as Deborah and others here have drawn out to all, that there is a marked inconsistency and disparate discord between what Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and the Holy Spirit by the hand of the writers of Scriptures is teaching and saying to us.
I pray that the Lord will enlighten and illuminate any darkened heart that is humble in this wise; for the entrance of His word bringeth understanding to the simple. Let’s let the word of God in through the Door, Christ Himself, not by some rathole (and I do not mean that nor speaking slightingly of anyone when I use that metaphor.)
Humbly yours in service to Christ Jesus always (and with no affiliation nor fellowship with Chris Oyakhilome by virtue of my name here. lol.)
God bless you all.
Scarier than all this is when preachers say “we are Christ/I am Christ”… speaking of this “transference”. What did the Scripture say? “Many false Christs…”
”You can’t go and replace words, or mix and match words or play word games to make up your own bible as you go along.”
hahaha.. so children is different from son.. as in your son is not your child.. hahahaha.. you should look at the greek rendering it says that as many as believed he gave power to become ‘teknon’.. now you find out what teknon means in greek .. hahaha
anywayz if it is the word sons you want to see.. how about
1john 3:2.. which says beloved, now are we the sons of God.. hehe
and from my previous post.. i said i am a son.. cos i was talking about just me.. and that doesn’t amount to twisting the word.. does it??..
@chris O.. yes we believe exactly wat the bible says and not more.. this post seems to suggest that chris oyak said that jesus is no longer the word.. but that is not true, thats not what he said( at least from the clip we see above?.. so its lk the contention here now is whether we are also sons of God..
”it should be plain and simple to rightly discern that if it were not for Christ, we would not be sons of God.
For this is not what the Scriptures imply and/or mean in what it says.”
of course how else wud i be a christian if i didnt confess jesus christ as my lord and personal saviour.. now dat is settled
with the good part.. the bible says that all things work together for my good..Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.. and Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.. and also Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.. jus to mention a few.
”Twisting of the truth is heresy. Choosing what we desire to believe and confess as a “positive confession” is heresy. And emphasizing Scriptural truths to the exaltation of the self-nature is a damnable heresy indeed!! ”
who’s talking about self nature here.. no body is exalting the self nature.. see when you are born again.. you are a new creation.. the old has gone.. the new has come..Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.. so he says to put on the new man.. its a new nature now.. the old has gone Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.. and then he says we are partakers of the divine nature..2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.. so nobody is glorifying anything.. look at what the bible says Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.. so who is glorifying who???
and these that follow are the very words of jesus, the son of God, the first born among many brethren(rom 8:29).. Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:..
so Rom 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.. for He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord(1 corinth 1:31).. so what i glory in the lord.. i glory in the fact that he came to die for me to redeem me and to give me a new life..
Kwaku
Hmmm please read all below about 1John 3:2 read this in context Kwaku.
1 John 3:1-10 (Amplified Bible)
1 John 3
1SEE WHAT [[a]an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him.
2Beloved, we are [even here and] now God’s children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall [[b]as God’s children] resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him [c]just as He [really] is.
3And everyone who has this hope [resting] on Him cleanses (purifies) himself just as He is pure (chaste, undefiled, guiltless).
4Everyone who commits (practices) sin is guilty of lawlessness; for [that is what] sin is, lawlessness (the breaking, violating of God’s law by transgression or neglect–being unrestrained and unregulated by His commands and His will).
5You know that He appeared in visible form and became Man to take away [upon Himself] sins, and in Him there is no sin [[d]essentially and forever].
6No one who abides in Him [who lives and remains [e]in communion with and in obedience to Him–deliberately, knowingly, and [f]habitually] commits (practices) sin. No one who [habitually] sins has either seen or known Him [recognized, perceived, or understood Him, or has had an experiential acquaintance with Him].
7[g]Boys (lads), let no one deceive and lead you astray. He who practices righteousness [who is upright, conforming to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action, living a consistently conscientious life] is righteous, even as He is righteous.
8[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].
9No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and [h]habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.
10By this it is made clear who take their nature from God and are His children and who take their nature from the devil and are his children: no one who does not practice righteousness [who does not conform to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action] is of God; neither is anyone who does not love his brother (his fellow [i]believer in Christ).

1 John 3 – Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary on the Bible
The satisfaction the believer has about Christ, and eternal life through him.
Little does the world know of the happiness of the real followers of Christ. Little does the world think that these poor, humble, despised ones, are favourites of God, and will dwell in heaven. Let the followers of Christ be content with hard fare here, since they are in a land of strangers, where their Lord was so badly treated before them. The sons of God must walk by faith, and live by hope. They may well wait in faith, hope, and earnest desire, for the revelation of the Lord
Jesus. The sons of God will be known, and be made manifest by likeness to their Head. They shall be transformed into the same image, by their view of him. (1Jn 3:3-10)

{3} Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be {c} like him; for we shall see him {d} as he is.
(3) The other: This dignity is not fully revealed to us ourselves, much less to strangers, but we are sure of the accomplishment of it, in as much as we shall be like the Son of God himself and shall enjoy his sight indeed, such as he is now, but yet this is deferred until his next coming.
(c) Like, but not equal.
(d) For now we see as in a glass 1Co 13:12
People’s New Testament
3:2 Now are we the sons of God. Already we have the great privilege of being sons,
and it doth not yet appear what we shall be. Our future glory is not yet manifest. Even we ourselves cannot understand it.
But we know that, when he shall appear. One glorious revelation has been made. At the coming of Christ
we shall be like him. Then we shall be like him in body. See Php 3:21. We shall also be found morally in his image.
For we shall see him as he is. To look upon him has power to change us into his glory. See 2Co 3:18.
Wesley’s Notes
3:2 It doth not yet appear – Even to ourselves. What we shall be – It is something ineffable, which will raise the children of God to be, in a manner, as God himself. But we know, in general, that when he, the Son of God, shall appear, we shall be like him – The glory of God penetrating our inmost substance. For we shall see him as he is – Manifestly, without a veil. And that sight will transform us into the same likeness.
Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary
2. Beloved-by the Father, and therefore by me.
now-in contrast to “not yet.” We now already are really sons, though not recognized as such by the world, and (as the consequence) we look for the visible manifestation of our sonship, which not yet has taken place.
doth not yet appear-Greek, “it hath not yet (‘at any time,’ Greek aorist) been visibly manifested what we shall be”-what further glory we shall attain by virtue of this our sonship. The “what” suggests a something inconceivably glorious.
but-omitted in the oldest manuscripts. Its insertion in English Version gives a wrong antithesis. It is not, “We do not yet know manifestly what . but we know,” &c. Believers have some degree of the manifestation already, though the world has not. The connection is, The manifestation to the world of what we shall be, has not yet taken place; we know (in general; as a matter of well-assured knowledge; so the Greek) that when (literally, “if”; expressing no doubt as to the fact, but only as to the time; also implying the coming preliminary fact, on which the consequence follows, Mal 1:6; Joh 14:3) He (not “it,” namely, that which is not yet manifested [Alford]) shall be manifested (1Jo 3:5; 2:28), we shall be like Him (Christ; all sons have a substantial resemblance to their father, and Christ, whom we shall be like, is “the express image of the Father’s person,” so that in resembling Christ, we shall resemble the Father). We wait for the manifestation (literally, the “apocalypse”; the same term as is applied to Christ’s own manifestation) of the sons of God. After our natural birth, the new birth into the life of grace is needed, which is to be followed by the new birth into the life of glory; the two latter alike are termed “the regeneration” (Mt 19:28). The resurrection of our bodies is a kind of coming out of the womb of the earth, and being born into another life. Our first temptation was that we should be like God in knowledge, and by that we fell; but being raised by Christ, we become truly like Him, by knowing Him as we are known, and by seeing Him as He is [Pearson, Exposition of the Creed]. As the first immortality which Adam lost was to be able not to die, so the last shall be not to be able to die. As man’s first free choice or will was to be able not to sin, so our last shall be not to be able to sin [Augustine, The City of God, 22.30]. The devil fell by aspiring to God’s power; man, by aspiring to his knowledge; but aspiring after God’s goodness, we shall ever grow in His likeness. The transition from God the Father to “He,” “Him,” referring to Christ (who alone is ever said in Scripture to be manifested; not the Father, Joh 1:18), implies the entire unity of the Father and the Son.
for, &c.-Continual beholding generates likeness (2Co 3:18); as the face of the moon being always turned towards the sun, reflects its light and glory.
see him-not in His innermost Godhead, but as manifested in Christ. None but the pure can see the infinitely Pure One. In all these passages the Greek is the same verb opsomai; not denoting the action of seeing, but the state of him to whose eye or mind the object is presented; hence the Greek verb is always in the middle or reflexive voice, to perceive and inwardly appreciate [Tittmann]. Our spiritual bodies will appreciate and recognize spiritual beings hereafter, as our natural bodies now do natural objects.

Matthew Henry’s Whole Bible Commentary
Chapter 3
The apostle here magnifies the love of God in our adoption (v. 1, 2). He thereupon argues for holiness (v. 3), and against sin (v. 4-19). He presses brotherly love (v. 11-18). How to assure our hearts before God (v. 19-22). The precept of faith (v. 23). And the good of obedience (v. 24).
Verses 1-3
The apostle, having shown the dignity of Christ’s faithful followers, that they are born of him and thereby nearly allied to God, now here,
I. Breaks forth into the admiration of that grace that is the spring of such a wonderful vouchsafement: Behold (see you, observe) what manner of love, or how great love, the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called, effectually called (he who calls things that are not makes them to be what they were not) the sons of God! The Father adopts all the children of the Son. The Son indeed calls them, and makes them his brethren; and thereby he confers upon them the power and dignity of the sons of God. It is wonderful condescending love of the eternal Father, that such as we should be made and called his sons-we who by nature are heirs of sin, and guilt, and the curse of God-we who by practice are children of corruption, disobedience, and ingratitude! Strange, that the holy God is not ashamed to be called our Father, and to call us his sons! Thence the apostle,
II. Infers the honour of believers above the cognizance of the world. Unbelievers know little of them. Therefore (or wherefore, upon this score) the world knoweth us not, v. 1. Little does the world perceive the advancement and happiness of the genuine followers of Christ. They are here exposed to the common calamities of earth and time; all things fall alike to them as to others, or rather they are subject to the greater sorrow, for they have often reason to say, If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable, 1 Co. 15:19. The unchristian world, therefore, that walks by sight, knows not their dignity, their privileges, the enjoyments they have in hand, nor what they are entitled to. Little does the world think that these poor, humble, contemned ones are the favourites of heaven, and will be inhabitants there ere long. And they may bear their case the better since their Lord was here unknown as well as they: Because it knew him not, v. 1. Little did the world think how great a person was once sojourning here, that the Maker of it was once an inhabitant of it. Little did the Jewish world think that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, was one of their blood, and dwelt in their land; he came to his own, and his own received him not. He came to his own, and his own crucified him; but surely, had they known him, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory, 1 Co. 2:8. Let the followers of Christ be content with hard fare here, since they are in a land of strangers, among those who little know them, and their Lord was so treated before them. Then the apostle,
III. Exalts these persevering disciples in the prospect of the certain revelation of their state and dignity. Here, 1. Their present honourable relation is asserted: Beloved (you may well be our beloved, for you are beloved of God), now are we the sons of God, v. 2. We have the nature of sons by regeneration: we have the title, and spirit, and right to the inheritance of sons by adoption. This honour have all the saints. 2. The discovery of the bliss belonging and suitable to this relation is denied: And it doth not yet appear what we shall be, v. 2. The glory pertaining to the sonship and adoption is adjourned and reserved for another world. The discovery of it here would put a stop to the current of affairs that must now proceed. The sons of God must walk by faith, and live by hope. 3. The time of the revelation of the sons of God in their proper state and glory is determined; and that is when their elder brother comes to call and collect them all together: But we know that when he shall appear we shall be like him. The particle, ean, usually translated if, is here well rendered when; for the Hebrew particle am (to which this is thought to correspond) is observed so to signify, as Dr. Whitby has here noted; and not only is ean sometimes used for hotan, but some copies even here read hotan, when. And accordingly it seems proper so to render it in Jn. 14:3, where we read it, And if I go, and prepare a place; but more naturally and properly, When I shall have gone, and shall have prepared the place, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, or paraleµpsomai-I will take you along with myself, that where I am there you may be also. When the head of the church, the only-begotten of the Father, shall appear, his members, the adopted of God, shall appear and be manifested together with him. They may then well wait in faith, hope, and earnest desire, for the revelation of the Lord Jesus; as even the creation itself waiteth for their perfection, and the public manifestation of the sons of God, Rom. 8:19. The sons of God will be known and be made manifest by their likeness to their head: They shall be like him-like him in honour, and power, and glory. Their vile bodies shall be made like his glorious body; they shall be filled with life, light, and bliss from him. When he, who is their life, shall appear, they also shall appear with him in glory, Col. 3:4. Then, 4. Their likeness to him is argued from the sight they shall have of him: We shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Their likeness will be the cause of that sight which they shall have of him. Indeed, all shall see him, but not as they do; not as he is, namely, to those in heaven. The wicked shall see him in his frowns, in the terror of his majesty, and the splendour of his avenging perfections; but these shall see him in the smiles and beauty of his face, in the correspondence and amiableness of his glory, in the harmony and agreeableness of his beatific perfections. Their likeness shall enable them to see him as the blessed do in heaven. Or the sight of him shall be the cause of their likeness; it shall be a transformative sight: they shall be transformed into the same image by the beatific view that they shall have of him. Then the apostle,
IV. Urges the engagement of these sons of God to the prosecution of holiness: And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself even as he is pure, v. 3. The sons of God know that their Lord is holy and pure; he is of purer heart and eyes than to admit any pollution or impurity to dwell with him. Those then who hope to live with him must study the utmost purity from the world, and flesh, and sin; they must grow in grace and holiness. Not only does their Lord command them to do so, but their new nature inclines them so to do; yea, their hope of heaven will dictate and constrain them so to do. They know that their high priest is holy, harmless, and undefiled. They know that their Go and Father is the high and holy one, that all the society is pure and holy, that their inheritance is an inheritance of saints in light. It is a contradiction to such hope to indulge sin and impurity. And therefore, as we are sanctified by faith, we must be sanctified by hope. That we may be saved by hope we must be purified by hope. It is the hope of hypocrites, and not of the sons of God, that makes an allowance for the gratification of impure desires and lusts.

That is not where it ends you know. You must surely look forward to Heaven more so than this life on earth? Our new life in Heaven will be much better than here on earth. Therefore this life on earth does not matter at all. The new life you receive is to enable us to meet Jesus in the clouds one day. Jesus redeemed us from our sins and gave us new life to live on the earth and the gate is very narrow you know.
We are in the world but not of the world.
John 15:19
If you belonged to the world, the world would treat you with affection and would love you as its own. But because you are not of the world [no longer one with it], but I have chosen (selected) you out of the world, the world hates (detests) you.
@ elmarie..
yes i know we have a better place to go and that is heaven.. i never said the earth was the final destination.
and you have actually said exactly what i have been trying to communicate.. that we are in the world but we are not of this world.. when we are born again we are different from the world.. we become sons of God( or as you would have it, children of God)
and with i john 3:2.. there is nothing after ijohn 3:2 which suggests that we are not sons of God.. so how do u mean i should read in context???.. is it the commentaries you are refering to??..
simply replaced the word ‘God’ for ‘Word’ in John 1:12
it reads that we Children of Word
a dog will give birth to a dog, a lizard will give birth to lizard and a god will give birth to god.therefore the word will birth to the word.
that is as simple as God wants to communicate with us but we are too busy looking for the complex thing thereby bring a stumbling blocks on your path.as simple as rom 10:10
seun
Oh my… It’s official everyone wants to be a god. Seun, let me know when you have create your first planet, ok? Better yet, start with something small like a little stone.
@Deborah,
Bornagain i.e our spirit is recreated after the nature of God. – a new creation 2Cor 5:17;
1John 5:4 Born of God ; 1John 5:1 God says: “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God:
1Pet 1:23 born of incorruptibe seed,
2Pet 1:4 partakers of God’s divine nature
So many verses elaborate on the divine nature that our spirit is composed of once we accept Jesus in our hearts. Knowing who im in Christ doesnot mean im claimng to be the creator/God. Rather, bse of He who is living in me, i have been made an overcomer, victorious. We have been called to have complete mastery and dominion over all circumstances in our lives!! The christian life is beautiful.
keak
Paul was then an utter failure and he died a martyr’s death. What does “accept Jesus in our hearts” mean?
keak
You cannot use the Bible out of CONTEXT keak. It is very important to know that we cannot take that which suites us from the Scripture by just using a couple of words. We must study the Word and always use the verses in CONTEXT.
Let me just add in the complete correct verses
1 Peter 1:23 (New International Version)IN CONTEXT:
keak
Do you see that Being Born Again as your right?
i think the teachings of Chris are sinister in nature and embodies with them the concepts of psycology. The prosperity gospel, the celebrity status of christians, the judge it all christians. The claim it and receive it. I think in overall, the modern day spiritual gurus. Its a phenomenon and a new trend. Anyhow, the Bible is like a prisoner of war, if you torture it enough it wil tel you what you want to hear.
pastor chris is rigth. please read the scripture very well before arguing. the word of God is not Just the letter you have to read in between the line.
be careful
IIn
Um, no. He is not right. Men are not gods and never will be.
Chris Oyakhilome’s teaching are frightening. I attended the church until I just could not make sense of his teachings anymore. He read from the bible BUT his expalnation of scripture was out of context. It took God’s grace to have my eyes opened. I had to go and read scripture myself not only “quotings” of certain verses but UNDERSTAND what the entire chapter seeked to teach.
My great Lord the false teachings I picked up. The none sense his teaching had. The lies he taught. You the man is smart extremely smart. You have to truly pay attention to him, write everything he says, go back home ask God to reveal the scripture and teaching…read your bible, read his teaching and you would be amazed at the FALSE DOCTRINE he teaches.
Pearl
Yes and worst of all he is coming to SA again for this Night of Bliss tour. Sighs!
i agree with pearl, its abundantly clear that most people today dont have an idea what the bible really says, for example i found out that the purpose of scriptures that say we are now sons of God is truely to have us come to a point where we come from law breakers to law keepers (most people will start saysing we r no longer under the law etc…. really?)I saw pastor chris’s overcoming your world dvd and he said , ” God gave Isreal his laws but although they were perfect, and spiritual they could not make anything perfect therefore he found fault with it….” and he went on to say how we r no longer under the law and grace etc. but when i read hebrews 8 it clearly states that God found fault with isreal becoz they kept breaking His laws, hence he said he will form a new covenant with isreal which He will put HIS LAWS into their hearts and minds, and they will keep them and not break them because sin is lawlessness (breaking of laws, no regards of God’s law). this is clear that pstr chris broke what God said in his word, and much to my amazement people clapped hands and cheered. In the dvd, priestly believer or something like that he said Jesus went to hell but like most WOF prechers who say this, they imply that Jesus had to physically wrestle with satan in hell and get keys from him in there etc, that is heretical. If ever Jesus went to hell His sacrifice wouldnt have saved men because God required a perfect sacrifice, hence the lamb without blemish, if he took our sins on himself that means he was contaminated yet Peter later on said he was without sin. CE members must really start studying the bible not rhapsodies only as most of them do that, go home and study what u have been taught because he teaches some of the most bible contradicting teachings which he labels the gospel according to pstr chris, and he is right, its his doctrines not the bibles. I picked up many bible contradicting teachings of his which i cant add all of them….
I think your reply is honest but fleshy man is cursed in every way…that is why we forcus only on the work of Calvary…perfection is only Christ…the more we get closer to His purposes the more we understand…
it clearly states that God found fault with Israel because they kept breaking His laws, hence He said he will form a new covenant with Israel which He will put HIS LAWS into their hearts and minds, and they will keep them and not break them because sin is lawlessness (breaking of laws, no regards of God’s law).
Why is it that Pastor Chris FLAUNT his education.
Pastor Chris Ayikhilome PhD! How is this RELEVANT to him as man of God.
Why does Pstor Chris see the need to TEACH people faith so they receive healing. I want to understand the reason behind healing school. I read my bible and never ever has this ever been recorded in the bible. I also want to know why does he teach people how to “keep” their healing. WHERE does this heling coming from for him to teach people to get and keep it? Is He God!
Have you also noticed that when Pastor Chris prays for these people he never uses the name of Jesus! He only tells them “Out you are healed”. Not once have I seen him struggle with a demon. Demons spoke to Jesus refusing to leave the possessed. The bible says In The Name of Jesus We shall cast out demons! Someone from CE please respond.
Pearl
I am so glad you are one of the few who are TESTING Chris.
Chris needs to show everyone he has a PhD because it’s called INTIMIDATION. The people are stupid and he is smart so don’t argue with him.
Yes Chris has a healing school and he charges a small fortune as well to attend – if at the end of it all you are not healed, he blames the fact that you did not follow his steps correctly to get healed.
So he actually teaches people how to KEEP their healing? That I did not know. Please read my article on healing: http://www.discerningtheworld.com/2010/12/08/can-satan-heal/ – this will answer this question.
pearl and deb
there is nothing wrong with asking questions, but do yourself a favour by reading scriptures before commenting, i mean when Jesus said that when demon leaves a person (cast out)and fail to get a plce to dwell, it come back to it original place with extra 7 demons ….}, obviously a person whom demons have been driven out cannot afford to stay without the holyspirit, and by being filled with the holyspirit always, you cannot be possesed with demons again, and you do not have to be a member of christ embassy for that.
False teachers appeal to human pride and greed. Always. How cleverly do they spiritualize/allorgorize the scriptures to say what they want them to say!How they spin a greek word to say something it does not say! Most people don’t want to be bothered to really study the Word for themselves, but allow themselves to be taken in by these charlatans.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Peter 1:19-21 (KJV)
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared
2 Peter 2:1-5 (KJV)
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet. 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge
2 Peter 2:13-20 (KJV)
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
2 Peter 3:16-18 (KJV)
I could never say in a blog, the darkness that God has brought me thru due to false teachers!I got caught in the faith movement and struggled tremendously to discern the difference between faith in God and faith in faith. This was due to listening to these false teachers on radio and television when i first began to seek the Lord and had no real ability to discern truth from error , when the Word was cleverly twisted and wrested by these decievers/decieved teachers. False shepherds! And like dumb little sheep , we follow! I have found God to be true to His Word
Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.Psalm 25:8
Psalm 9:10 says that God has never forsaken anyone who searches for Him. I can testify of Gods faithfulness to me.
I do not mean to sound uncharitable, but i believe that most of them know exactly what they are doing! “feigned speech”! They are at the top of the food chain! Just like the false teachers of our Lords day who shut the kingdom to men!
13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. 14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. 15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. 16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides…
Matt 23:13-16 (KJV)
The days are getting darker. And whoever does not study the word for themselves is in great danger of being taken in by the evil seducers.
At the bottom is always pride and money , always! And power and position which are only tenacles of pride!

Yes Jesus is the product alright!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRirh4zTwig
Or a thousand others: PLANT A SEED! Yes indeed, send it to them! Funny how they never say send it to the poor in your community, lol! Maybe they can manage it alittle better! Look online into the lavish lifestyles of these false prophets that are at the top of the food chain and care nothing about the souls of men! “Don’t worry about your light bill. God will take care of it,ect. ect.”
It is a blessing to be warned of a false teacher. If it makes you search it out, that is a good thing. Search it out.God will not fail to teach you if your heart is truly seeking truth.
I wish that i would have come accross this site some years ago, it would have rightly shattered my naivete that all who speak great glowing words of Jesus, really belong to Him.
Keep up the good work Deborah!
Sylesa
Right time for everything 🙂 You are here now and that counts a lot!!!
Sylesa, I praise God for delivering you out of the darkness. I am sure that your words of encouragement are refreshing to Deb’s spirit – she considers this her ministry and a ministry it is to people like you. She is willing to take the slings and arrows just to get the word out and her aim is to be a blessing. Thank you for your uplifting words!
Burning Lamp,
You are welcome! I am SOOOO happy to know that there are others out there that defend the truth of Gods Word! Deborah is doing a much needed ministry. Most of the people that i know , don’t seem to be real interested in wether teachings are correct with scripture. I really struggle to understand that because we read the samr bible, and it has ALOT of warnings about false teachers! I need to stop trying to figure that one out.
Sometimes , for entertainment value, i watch some of these wolves in sheeps clothing on youtube, there are some really funny ones out there!
It also makes me angry to hear what they say, because of the horrible spiritual damage that they do to people.
I need to read all the articles on this site, i saved the files. It will take a little time but i will read them.
Ps. For all of you that may have a twitter account, their are some funny parodies of some of these false teachers, my personal favorite is fakerodparsley and emergentjesus , check them out, you will laugh.
God bless everybody out there on this blog!
Sylesa, you are right – at times it can get so distressing and depressing with all the fake stuff and the damage they are doing to people. There are times when we just need some comic relief at the expense of some of these wolves. It isn’t funny, but there are times when one has to laugh at their ridiculous folly.
One place I go to when I need some humor related to discernment is a site called A Little Leaven.
Hi Burning Lamp,
Thanks for the info on the website! I am checking it out right now and it does promise to be entertaining! I love it! getting ready to watch “spin the bottle” lol
In the message “The Person of Jesus” Pastor Chris say Jesus was absent at creation and God did not have the son to give
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth 2 Tm 2:15
Dear Deborah
Thanks for the enlightening words on this site. I am currently a CEC member but I am also one of those who has come to the realisation that it seems to be more of a profit orientated organisation than a Church and I am really scared that I could have wasted so much time follwoing a false teaching. I just need to correct one comment above though about the healing School. No its not true that a fee is charged, people attend free of charge.my concern though has been aroused by the facts about teachings, manipulating the bible to drive a corporat business by teaching believers that Christianity is supposed to make you rich(I do not say that its wrong to be rich as Christian for there are many verses to support the benefits of giving) but I think the main thing its taught in the word that we should seek firts the kingdom of God and all things will be added to you. to cut the story short, I have learnt that in CEC there is no teaching about repentance or even sin. There is a deliberate avoidance about on teaching or even mentioning sin. even in teh Foundation School, there is absolutely no teaching about how to live, conduct yourself, dress etc as a Christian, in short the basics of being a good Christian as we were taught even by society, or even the do not fornicate or commit adultery stuff. Then of late there has been a trend of having all worldly things being doen in the Church like having worldly music and dances. and here I am not being judgemental but its at levels where even a non Christian would notice, Things like modelling/fashion show in a Church service and dances like Rhumba, salsa, in short sexual things right on the pulpit. Its a lot to elaborate here and together with the avoidance of teh Gospel of the cross but concentration on the resurrection its all leading me to think I should find a Church. A Church service can be simply made up of promotions of the various SBUs of the Church. As for the teaching, I made a deliberate effort to study and scrutinise and realised what most comments that are above have mentioned. a scripture that was meant to teach on how to liev right as a Christian is twisted to suit the good life, healing and prosperity gospel and conviniently avoid teaching on sin. You should also care to watch the live programme where questions are answered and you hear more controvesial answers like that the Bible does not mention that smoking or masturbating is bad.
Psalm 82:6 “I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’
John 10:34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are gods’?

Which church do you attend? The church in Randburg charges a fee to attend the healing school – this was a few years ago.
Jerry
No Jerry, you are reading scripture incorrectly. Read and UNDERSTAND properly and you will get the correct message. I have done an article on this.

… and this we shall ignore? This is what happens when we pay someone to read the Bible to us. We miss context and we twist with them.
Deu 32:39 See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Deu 32:40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
Deu 32:41 If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
>> This is what happens when we pay someone to read the Bible to us.
Haha, exactly, this is what happens…
I hope none of those disheartened by this message will leave the church. Teachings like these can lead to ‘backsliders’ who for some reason end up with a cult like group outside of the church. I urge everyone to fix things in the church so that the kingdom of God may be established in everywhere in our lives. Running away never helps, that is why everyone else is starting his own church. Are they really any different or is it just wanting to be a ‘little god’ over Gods people? Please don’t get me wrong there are many people called of God and some are doing a great job.

>> I urge everyone to fix things in the church so that the kingdom of God may be established in everywhere in our lives.
Please provide scripture for this.
>> Running away never helps, that is why everyone else is starting his own church
Please provide scripture for this and logical biblical reasoning as to how you come to this conclusion.
>> Are they really any different or is it just wanting to be a ‘little god’ over Gods people?
Please provide scripture to support your claims.
Deborah. I am not sure about when it started but I know that the Randburg Church doesnt charge a fee. I know a lot of people, some close relatives who have gone there and they were not charged a fee. Anyway my issue was not about money, I just needed to correct the responses of some of the commentators. my issue was on the issues above where the world is coming into the Church and noone seems to have gotten my point. I do not agree with the above reader that running away doesn’t help as I certainly believe that these “Churches” (I am not sure if they qualify to be categorised as such) are very big institutions in which one very insignificant member can do anything to expose them. Religion is not democratic as you will not notice when you get to one of them. I supposed if you realise that where you are doesn’t feel like Church anymore, run and ru with your life. and yes study the word and if there are things that clearly do not comply with the word pray and seek guidance from the holy spirit (if you have not been wearied by wrong teachings already) and try to look for a Church that teaches what is consistent with the word. If more people can own up to the real guidance they get from the spirit, evil acts in the Church will be exposed. The problem is that the Church is now full of people who seek more of the world than God. As the Bible says, their own stomachs are their gods. (I am sure someone who make this righta and misquote it to justify some acts also) Debra, please look at the issues I highlighted above; I need to know if this a rend in many Churches (if thats the case then its hopeless) if not then I need to know how some level headed Christian would deal with that. I posted on another website and some of the current members found my thoughts to be carnal(that I was complainig about too many sexual inuendos in the Church.
Maddy, “little god” doctrine is a lie from satan…
… and he has the microphone here as he says…
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
These kinds of argument cause pple to turn away from God .Stop confusing ppl
[deleted – it would appear that Chris O had a following of a ‘special class’ who get confused easily and who can’t think for themselves and have been told they are little god’s – you would think gods had big brains and would never get confused.]
It will not be the first time that the Word of God will be disputed. And it won’t be the last.
If Jesus said,”Isn’t it written in your law ‘ I have said ye are gods…” I do not think any man has the power to argue that.
so stop all these unnecessary arguements. What ever God has said should be the final authority in your life.
i f I call myself what God has called me, I do not see why someone else should spend their precious time trying, i mean really trying to get me not to call myself what God has called me.
Well, what matters in this life is not what people say, but what God has said. So instead of complaining, go and find out what God has said. If you are truly a christian, you wont waste your precious time analyzing the word of God, but you will accept it as God’s word!
Whether or not you like it, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PHD has come to stay and he is putting smiles on peoples faces all over the world. my question is, “Why does that bother you?’ Are you God?!
God has given us (Christians) an assignment to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Have you done yours?
leave the Man alone. You will just get pained over what should not bother you. He’s got a life and he is fulfilling his God ordained call.
You go and get a life. Go and find out what God has sent you to do and do it!
If you want to be a permanent critic of pastor Chris, you will soon wear out, because He only just arrived and He’s going to be here for a very long time!!!
Spiritual pedigrees. “my people are dying because of lack of knowledge”. Take it or leave it. Tradition is deceiving many, the pharisees did the same, maybe if you would ask God about it. This pastor is not claiming to be the messiah, neither is he saying that He is Jesus Christ. Revelation here…When I am born of God, Born of the Word, Christ is in me, my body is the temple of God, the trinity of God has made It’s dwelling in me, i live in Christ and the Father. I have in me God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy spirit so what does that make me? genesis 1:27, so God created man in His own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. This doesn’t mean that we think of being equal to God, no we’re not…just hitting the facts that He is our Father and we are the Father’s juniors. As He is, so are we in this earth. Through the Word that he gave me, i now speak upon things and they become…N.B. ‘i myself speak and things become’. That simple means that He has enabled us to command because the word has been given unto us. important note, the Son of God was given the name that is above all names, in other words God the Father exalted Him to be superior over all names…but Christ is the Spirit that dwell in him. That is why the antichrist is the spirit that dwells in someone invading them to be against the kingdom of God

If you dont believe in what he is saying, that is your problem. If he is coming to ur town, dont take your family there.. He is not forcing you. you dont have to call him names. God knows his people.

ז אָכֵן, כְּאָדָם תְּמוּתוּן; וּכְאַחַד הַשָּׂרִים תִּפֹּלוּ. 7 Nevertheless ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.’
ח קוּמָה אֱלֹהִים, שָׁפְטָה הָאָרֶץ: כִּי-אַתָּה תִנְחַל, בְּכָל-הַגּוֹיִם. 8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for Thou shalt possess all the nations. {P}
If u are born again it means God gave birth to u dont u get it? U are born by God’s Word. or wht do u think gives birth to u again? so u become a daughter or son of the Word(God).
1Peter 1:24
For you have been begotten(born) again by God’s ever-living and enduring word from a germ not of perishable, but of imperishable life.(WNT)
Now because u are born by the Word or God, Jesus is ur elder brother. bible says He is the firstborn.
Romans 8:29
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.(KJV)
That’s why it said in John3:16 that only begotten son. bcos at that time God had only one Son. but after that many became born again so the bible says that Jesus is the first begotten or firstborn among many brothers and sisters. why? because he has brothers and sisters now who are born again or born by God Himself…
PLEASE READ AND STUDY UR BIBLES IT IS ALL IN THERE. Glory to God!!
This is NOTHING, Pastor Chris Oyahkilome say’s MASTURBATION IS NOT A SIN
See the video Here
And the funny thing is that his church members defend him.
God bless Pastor Chris. You opened our eyes.We are not slaves. We were put/are on this earth to reign. We know that we know….!
one thing am sure of is that pastor Chris is so deep in the word such that many of you cannot get it. This guy is speaking the word and revalations to us but we just find a chance to judge things that we do not anderstand. We should read Gods word and after you will see how deep you will become as time goes by. New revalations will come and you will start saying things that are too deep for man kind. PASTOR CHRIS IS CORRECT.

LOL, no innocent, the bible is for everyone to understand. But you contradict yourself, first you say that Chris O is all knowing and only he understand the bible, then you say that Chris O is correct in whatever he says. How do you know Chris O is correct if you don’t know what Chris is saying is true or not? Hmmmm. Innocent, I think it’s time you become Learnered and study the scriptures for yourself and not what someone else TELLS you is his VERSION of the truth.
Lorna
Shame, you must have had such a complex and then you men con-artist Chris O and he told you a lie.
chiedu
Yes they would agree with him because they are all little gods who can sin and don’t have to repent.
[deleted – You don’t need to insult me. Never the less – You are NOT a GOD! and you NEVER will be.]

I have listened to the clip and it does not match what the sender mentioned. Ye are gods is mentioned serveral times in the Bible , who is it referring to? Why is it mentioned in theBible? Beware of all these things that are said on this website or any website that talksnegatively about the preachers of the Word. What does the Word of God say about these idle talks. Continue…………….if God has an noted you people to be the judge in this World.. Continue……………… Does it benefit the Spirit . What you are saying does it bring people to Jesus? Talking about other preachers is it part of the Gospel? Rejoicing about someone’s illness is it compassion? Is it part of the Gospel? It does not matter what he said but is it worth rejoicing? Continue……………

I am speaking now and I want to tell you something. I don’t judge Chris Oyakhilome, he judges himself by the false doctrine that he preaches!

I have updated the article to include the answer to your question. Please read the article again.
Pple pastor Chris is a Man sent frm God.pple u think God is so small tht He needs u to deal wth he’s matters?God is GoD n therefore He doesn’t need ur help in dealing wth he’s pple or Children-so hold ur Peace n let God b God,he doesn’t need a lawyer,U jst work out ur own salvation wth fear n tembling n doesn’t mean if u dnt agree wth something-it is wrong.Go back study ur bibles, dnt disagree with wht u never studied-reading one scripture doesn’t mean u knw the whole-may God bless U
[delete – you judge my salvation?]
I asked you a simple question and you deleted my question. You are the one judging people on your site. Why not answer the questions. Better to use your site to the glory of God instead of entangling yourself with controversies. Allow the one who called Oyakilome into ministry to deal with him His own way. Remember what happened to Mirriam when she judged Moses rightly. She got leprosy for her actions though she was right. Just a word of advice.
King
You ask the same questions over and over and I have answered them already, if you read the comments section you will see that.
secondly if you insult me I will delete your comments. Read instructions and Read the comments, but more importantly READ your Bible correctly, something you clearly don’t do.

Dogs give birth to dogs.
Cats give birth to cats.
God gives birth to …?
Study these verses for yourself:
John 1:12-13, 1 Peter 1:23, Romans 8:14, Galatians 4:6, Philippians 2:15, 1 John 3:1.
And my favourite to make it abundently clear that we (that are real christians) are sons of God TODAY.. 1 John 4:17 and 1 John 3:2.
Concerning there being only one God, this is true. The Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the WORD of God made flesh (John 1:14). Those who are in Christ, have put on Christ.. i.e. Jesus is the HEAD, and the Church is the BODY (Ephesians 1:22-23, Ephesians 5:23, Colossians 1:18-24).
If you don’t recognise Christ in you, and the fact that the new creation IS born of God (2 Corinthians 5:17-18) then pray that you may receive revelation (assuming you really are born again).
Do you realise that by posting such messages, you aren’t actually edifying the Church. You are in fact discouraging people from God! Consider the spirit with which you are criticising “fellow believers”, whether your motivation really is from God.
I am not saying that Pastor Chris is perfect, nor am I saying that people should think of themselves as anything without Christ. But in Christ, we are gods because we are his children by birth and are only so called because we are part of the body of Christ. This was all by God’s grace, we did not qualify for it, so we don’t boast about it as if it was something we earned. However we do glorify God and confirm His word by speaking these spiritual realities into our lives.
The world is eagerly awaiting those who will dare to believe what God says about them and start living as true sons of God who are concious of their heavenly birth (Romans 8:19).
Dear Sovereign
You said, “God gives birth to …?
God gives birth? Really?? Who impregnates Him to give birth?
Yes we are SONS OF GOD, Chris and you are saying WE ARE GODS hence your blasphemous comment that “God gives birth to… gods”
There is a very big difference.
1 Corinthians 2:13-14
“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
I bet if you could delete the latter part of John 1:13 you would. The bible clearly lets us know in John 1:12-13 that WE (those truly in Christ) ARE BORN OF GOD. Why do you think Jesus himself let us know the importance of being BORN again / anew / from above (John 3:3-7).
And just in case that wasn’t clear enough.. 1 Peter 1:23 spells it out that we (once again, those in Christ) were BORN of the Word of God.
I don’t mind you arguing with me, besides, it helps me grow 🙂 BUT, I encourage you not to argue with the Word of God!
Thank you for the post! I would like to point out that you have the ability to build people up with such a website. Please ensure that you are encouraging and building up the church, as opposed to discouraging them.
Sovereign

Being born of God / born again and becoming a child of God vs. ‘God giving birth’ like a ‘dog gives birth’ as you made the comparison are two different things.
You said: “I don’t mind you arguing with me, besides, it helps me grow 🙂 BUT, I encourage you not to argue with the Word of God!”
I don’t mind you arguing with me either, but please stop twisting the word of God.
And again I repeat myself…and I highlight the main point of this article:
Chris says, “Jesus is not God’s word anymore you are” in other words you are Christ.
Tell me something, do you believe you are a GOD/CHRIST that can speak things into existence?
Hi Sovereign,
While reading your comment on dogs, cats and God I tried to imagine what kind of testimony you would present to an unbeliever who asked you to prove that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. It would be pretty much be something like a cat and dog fight.
This is sooooo far from a real biblical Gospel presentation of the Sonship of Jesus Christ, and the only way to escape God’s righteous judgement for presenting such a load of nonsense, is to repent and be saved. A genuinely saved person will never, I repeat NEVER, believe and say such things.
Hi Tom & Deborah.
I would let the Holy Spirit speak to the unbeliever through me (Mark 13:11) (Luke 12:12). That silly dialogue isn’t a fair representation of anything that I have posted on this site.
When I mentioned dogs and cats, I was trying to help describe the spiritual, using examples of the physical. 1 Peter 1:23 spells it out that we are BORN again, not of corruptible sperm, but of incorruptible, by the WORD of God. Notice how Peter used the physical world as an example to help explain spiritual realities. Jesus did it too, and the worldly people got offended (John 6:51-52). Your counter argument was, and I quote:
“God gives birth? Really?? Who impregnates Him to give birth?”
And then you finally agree that we are BORN of God, but interestingly you are now implying it is not an actual BIRTH. Based on your comment I percieve that you are looking at it from a worldly perspective which is why you cannot receive the revelation (1 Corinthians 2:14).
Like with everything that is preached concerning the bible, I search the scriptures myself and let the Holy Spirit teach me (John 14:16-17, John 14:26). Btw, I noticed you never quote bible verses to back up your arguments.
I also noticed you were quick to tell me that I am not saved? Why are you so quick to convince people who clearly believe in the resurrected Jesus Christ and who affirm the Lordship of Jesus that they are not saved. Do you not believe that this is all that is required to be saved (Romans 10:9-10)?
Please, please, please, examine yourselves (2 Corinthians 13:5)! This Spirit with which you operate, does it build up the body of Christ or does it find fault with everyone and simultaneously discourage brethren just because they have a different revelation to you?
Now, I know where you have a problem with me, so I will address it and leave the rest up to you because we do not need to spend our time arguing (2 Timothy 2:23).
I say that I am part of the word of God because His very Word (the incorruptible seed) is what birthed me (spiritually). This does not mean I exalt myself above God or Jesus because I know that it is by His grace and love that I am a part of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23) (Ephesians 2:8). Being PART OF CHRIST is the only reason I can speak things into existance with such confidence (2 Corinthians 4:13). Jesus instructed us on how to do it and let us know that nothing is impossible (Matthew 17:20), or as Paul put it, I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).
2 Corinthians 5:17 – I am a new species (born of the Word), in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:18 – All things (concerning my new life) ARE OF GOD.
Colossians 3:3 – My new life is hid WITH CHRIST in God.
Ephesians 1:23 – The body of Christ is the full measure of Him in whom all things are made complete.
Ephesians 3:19 – It is possible for those in Christ to be filled with ALL THE FULNESS OF GOD.
1 John 5:4 – I am born of God and I have overcome the world.
I could go on, but I think I have made my point. I am not saying that I am THE Christ. Jesus is! I do however operate as the christ on this earth because that is what He said to do (John 20:21, John 14:12).
Ephesians 2:6 – I AM SEATED TOGETHER WITH CHRIST IN HEAVENLY PLACES RIGHT NOW.
1 John 4:17 – As He is, so am I, IN THIS WORLD.

There is no need to add to anything the Word of God uses to explain spiritual truths. We dare not think that our examples are much better than those of God’s Word and that it makes it easier for unbelievers to understand spiritual things. What the Word says is enough. Your example of cats and dogs does not enhance 1 Peter 1:23 in the very least. In fact, it confuses unbelievers. It is best to abide by what the Word of God says and not to try and improve on it to make it easier to describe or understand spiritual things. The Spirit of God inspired Peter to write what he had written and that’s more than sufficient.
Moreover, your example of cats and dogs says the very opposite to what Peter says. He says, being born again is NOT like being born of incorruptible seed. Yet you say it IS like being born of corruptible seed and then you proceed to explain that deity (being god with a small letter) is something similar to being born of corruptible seed like cats and dogs. I suggest that you abide by what the Holy Spirit said through Peter and not to try and enhance the Word of God with your own silly little examples.
Indeed, John 6:51-52, demonstrates how physical things can be used to explain spiritual things. The irony, however, is that in spite of Jesus’ use of physical things to help them understand, they did NOT understand and they turned their backs on Him because they were offended (John 6:61). What makes you think your silly little example of cats and dogs can supersede Jesus’ magnanimous example to make people believe spiritual things when they did not even understand his wonderful example? Don’t you think you are a wee bit arrogant to think your example is any better than his and that people are going to laud you as a truly wonderful physical-spiritual guru who knows how to make them understand spiritual things?
You wrote:
Of course those who are saved are born of God or born from above. The difference between your understanding of being born again and that of the Bible, is that being born again to you means we are now gods with a small g because cats have cats and dogs have dogs. You imply that your alleged deity (with a small g) is the proof that you are born again. The fact that this is an outright lie from the lips of the father of all lies shows that your idea of being born again, is not from God. Why do you believe something that is not of God? You are playing with fire. And despite the fact that 1 Corinthians 2:14 emphatically states that the natural man (the unbeliever; unsaved man) CANNOT understand spiritual things because they are spiritually discerned, you doggedly (no pun intended) demand that it is necessary to use physical examples because it can help unbelievers understand spiritual things. Here again, you are saying the exact opposite to what the Bible teaches which again makes it a lie.
You wrote:
Yes, and you quote many verses from Scripture but totally out of context. Tell me, what is worse – quoting few verses or many out of context? The latter deceives. Yet you are so concerned about building up the body of Christ. Do you really think you are going to build it up by quoting many verses out of icontext? Even Satan quoted Scripture – completely out of context to deceive people.
You wrote:
Isn’t telling others they must examine themselves (2 Corinthians 13:5) to make certain whether they are saved or not? That’s precisely what I said when I wrote that those who believed in the cats and dogs analogy must make sure they are saved.
You wrote:
The expression “part of the word” is nowhere to be seen in Scripture and neither is the Word the incorruptible seed. This is what the Word says:
The word is merely the vehicle by which those who hear and believe are saved. 1 Peter 1:23 says the same thing: “by the word.” You don’t become part of the word when you are saved. You are completely baptized into Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit who’s the One who quickens you, baptizes you INTO Jesus Christ and INTO his death (Romans 6:3). You do not merely become a part of Him. You are then completely enveloped by Jesus Christ by being IN Him. Ephesians 1:22-23 does not say you are merely part of Christ. The Body of Christ is the fullness of Christ in all his blessings He bestowed on the saints. These blessings are described in the first two chapters of Ephesians – we have been crucified with Christ, buried with Him, raised with Him and seated with Him in heavenly places. Does that mean we are now gods with a little “g?” Perish the thought.
You say you can speak things into existence. Can you give us a few examples of the things you have spoken into existence with confidence? 2 Corinthians 4:13 is by far not an example of how saints speak things into existence. You are once again ripping the meaning out of its context. The context is in verse 1 which says:
And then he says:
Paul says, since his conversion when he believed, he began to preach the Gospel so that lost sinners may be saved. Many false teachers accused him of teaching a false Gospel which he refuted by saying that he does not preach the Gospel dishonestly and with craftiness and deceitfully (for financial gain), as some of them had done. “And therefore I have spoken” does not mean that he had the ability to speak things into existence. It simply means he preached the Gospel since his redemption by faith in Jesus Christ. Have you ever spoken anyone’s salvation into existence?
“All the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:19) does NOT mean you are a god spelled with a small “g.” If the fullness of God already lives in you, then you never sin. Are you saying you never sin any more? The fullness of God is only in Christ and through Him a believer is made complete (Colossians 2:9-10).
By the way, does your pseudonym “Sovereign” mean you are god”?
I would like to point out those who did NOT turn their backs on Jesus in offence (John 6:66-69). Notice verses 68 & 69. They understood that Jesus has the words of eternal life and BELIEVED! How come some understood and some didn’t? How come some believed and some didn’t? By your argument, you are implying that Jesus didn’t explain things properly or perhaps shouldn’t have used a physical example like “eat my flesh” (John 6:54) to explain the spiritual. Jesus did not make a mistake! He was perfect in what He said and He knew exactly what He was doing! He knew that saying “eat my flesh and drink my blood” would offend them, yet He said it. Why? I would like you to notice that those who were given the revelation were CHOSEN (John 6:70). Did you ever consider this verse: Matthew 13:10-11?
I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes.
I would also like you to notice that 2 Corinthians 4:13 did not say ‘we believed and therefore spoke’. It says “we BELIEVE and therefore SPEAK”. Notice the tenses used by the translator, there is so much revelation there! But, for the sake of this post, I said “Being PART OF CHRIST is the only reason I can speak things into existance WITH SUCH CONFIDENCE” I emphasised “with such confidence” because that is why I quoted that verse.
In the context of speaking things into existance, that is exactly what faith is. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). And if you think faith doesn’t talk, it does (Romans 10:6). Faith calls those things that don’t exist as though they do exist. Why? Because God said so! There are many examples of this in the bible, for exaple Abram calling himself Abraham (father of many) even though him and his wife Sarah (formerly Sarai) had no child at the time and were old (Genesis 17:5).
Now look at Romans 4:17-20.
“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
God said it HAD HAPPENED, this was the basis of Abraham’s faith. He then called himself Abraham (father of many) even though him and his wife were too old to have children and did not have the child (in the physical realm). If Abraham didn’t have a PART TO PLAY then the bible would not have commended him (Hebrews 11:2), (Romans 4:3), (Romans 4:9).
Our part to play is to believe that what God promised Abraham is true, and most importantly, because we are the children of promise, and PART of Abraham’s seed, i.e. part of the body of CHRIST (Galations 3:16), we can do what Abraham did and speak God’s word into our lives. The great part about it is we are a new species (2 Corinthians 5:17) and being part of christ, we don’t even have to use a human type of faith, we can use the son of God type of faith (Galatians 2:20). Glory to God!
If you think we are restricted, why were we encouraged to be immitators (mimetes) of God (Ephesians 5:1)? Why are we told that we are partakers (partners / associates) of the divine nature? Why did Jesus say that anything is possible (Matthew 17:20), or why did He say we will have WHATSOEVER (anything) we say in faith (Mark 11:23).
I guess your problem may be those people who may speak things into existance outside the word / will of God. God has a problem with that too, but shouldn’t we let God judge them (whoever they may be)? Or as a minimum, use God’s word as the standard with which to measure? Are you now so high and mighty that you can condemn people’s salvation? For the record, I suggested that you examine yourself (I didn’t say you were not saved – whether your name is blotted out of the book of life is between you and God). You on the other hand, told me to “repent and be saved” before condemning others by saying they were not “genuinely saved” if they believed what I believe.
You may pretend to be operating in love, but I thank God that your true motives are obvious to those who read your posts!
Btw I did not respond to convince you so don’t worry. I wrote what I wrote for the sake of those individuals who read this post. They can judge our conversation themselves.
Thanks,
Sovereign a.k.a. King (because that is what my name translated in english means, but most importantly, that is what God has made me, Revelation 1:6).

Indeed, Jesus’ example was perfect. So stop using your own silly little imperfect example of cats and dogs to prove that you are god with a little “g” or a Sovereign King equal to Jesus. I am not going to waste my time with you any longer. So, don’t comment here again because I will immediately erase your them ALL.
Sovereign
You like to argue in circles don’t you. The whole point is this: YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE A GOD / CHRIST who can speak things into existence – this is blasphemous, so please run along now and go and play Sovereign elsewhere.
It’s a waste of time trying to penetrate the consciousness of “New Creation” thinkers, the fundamental flaw with the theology starts with their concept of man. They believe that man is primarily a spirit, possessing a soul and living in a body. Salvation thus takes place only in the spirit of man, and because this spirit is made alive in Christ, it becomes just like Christ. To a new creation thinker the life of Christ is not a christian hope but that which already is by reason of his literally reborn spirit. This theological error of the nature of man started with EW Kenyon who also happens to be the father of new creation realities. This theology easily leads to gnosticism and antinomianism. This is why you notice that new creation believers talk of sin as being against the body and not against the spirit hence not against God because, according to them once your spirit is recreated it cannot sin. It explains also why there’s so much unbridled liberty and licenciousness within their membership. It is almost totally impossible to talk them out their beliefs, it’s like a drug. I can tell you this because i was one of them.
Dear Ken
You said: “It’s a waste of time trying to penetrate the consciousness of “New Creation” thinkers”
It’s not a waste of time Ken, it’s important that when you get the opportunity to speak to someone about their false beliefs you do so. I mean look what happened to you, you said ” I can tell you this because i was one of them”. If you got out of it then so can others 🙂
I bless the Lord for the pipo that have shared about the false teachers. You have ministered to me and have given me answers to some questions I was asking and have also given me an insight. Well I my self have been fighting with a movement that has swept almost every one in our country. Its called the grace movement where preachers r focussing so much on the grace and make the law insignificant. They tell people they don’t need to repent because they claim repentance ended when one got saved, they claim a christian doesn’t need deliverance, that we are christ manipulating 1John 4:17 and so many other false teachings and one thing I’ve noticed all of them preach the same thing. But I pray that we shall have christians who will fight fr the true gospel

I think what many people are offended by is the new age culture that calls themselves God. Like course of miracles and other nonbiblical studies. WE ARE the ‘new temple of God as he lives and preaches through us not physically in a building. so I think the literal interpretation and effort to rebuild a temple has been misunderstood but I could be wrong…we all make up the body of Christ,” the church”(hence spiritual gifts” Corinthians and in Romans). I personally believe the Jews are “the Bride’ and we are the Church/body of Christ doing his work here on earth…and those of us who endure to the end and die under persecution for our beliefs (many already have) are what God refers to as the Saints…I also think money is the mark of the beast…I know, sounds crazy but think on it…The Bible specifically says “the love of money is the root of ALL evil” and Satan marks you on your hand (deeds done FOR money) and your forehead (where your belief system and spirituality are held) whereas God only seals you on your forehead as you cannot earn (through deeds) your way to Heaven. AND money has the Seal, name, and all identifiers of it’s maker (Satan) AND many are receiving the chip (RFID) without knowledge or consent, through IVs and vaccinations etc…I think it’s money or the love of it….

Hope you don’t mind if I weigh in here…Jesus made it pretty clear, many times, that there will be many who will not understand and for him who has an ear to hear to listen carefully. That IS due to the fact that unfortunately there are and were many who were not going to make it (narrow is the path to Heaven) and he even admitted speaking in parables for that reason. If you pray for understanding you may not get it right away but you’re storing the knowledge and believe me, one day, maybe 20 years later, God will draw on that stored info, and you’ll hear your voice but his words fully explaining that mysterious verse you never got… Now inasmuch as his body being the bread and the wine his blood. He said “this do in remembrance of me” this is called communion and it’s one of the few traditions he asked us to do IN REMEMBRANCE of him…just like worship once a week, it’s a way to show him honor and glory and to always be aware of his sacrifice…you know how quickly people can forget…this just kind of reminds us. Also, in the same spirit, he wanted us to cleanse each others feet. be as servants to each other because that was the way he spread his love. He never boasted as being anything but a humble servant and desires the same humility from us all. Overall that last supper was (again)his prophesy of his own crucifixion which his disciples still weren’t hearing (all to prove he was who he said he was)
doesn’t it kind of hurt that only one of Jesus’s disciples was at his crucifixion?? that sucks alot. But, after his resurrection, they All sung a different tune. they converted doing a 180 and devoted the rest of their lives to spreading the Gospel all the way until their deaths which were each so tragic that that faith was proven by their fruit.. But they walked with Jesus and saw the miracles and still weren’t totally convinced because he wouldn’t save himself…they never listened to him until he died…so sad.
okay Deb thanks for the time you’ve allowed me – I crave spiritual stimulation lately and it’s so hard to find….thanks, hope i didn’t talk too much
Gone Now,
I find it odd that you lambaste us for being loveless and then lovingly send us to hell. That’s very nice of you. Thank you very much. I am sure you have heard of the beam and the mote. You have? Well, that’s just great. Was Jesus being unloving when He said the following.
Hi Sue,
May I ask how you see “washing each others feet?” What does it mean?
Just come scross this page…interesting, as I sent the email below yesterday evening!

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
I am a Oneness or ‘Jesus-only’ Christian, which I understand is also Christ Embassy doctrine.
I enjoy reading and meditating on RofR when I obtain a copy. However, I want to draw attention to what I feel in my spirit are a couple of erroneous statements in the April ’18 edition, which Pastor Chris ought to set right in a future edition.
Page 38 – the Father didn’t have a dream. This is poor use of language and unsupportable from Scripture. Purpose would be a much more appropriate and reverent word to use.
Pages 57/60/61 – I understand what is being conveyed on these pages, but being a partaker of the divine nature doesn’t make us divine. When the Holy Spirit indwells someone born-again, it does not follow that they possess divinity or a divine nature.
This is an erroneous interpretation of scripture and a very dangerous suggestion. For instance, despite receiving the gift of eternal life, a believer remains subject to bodily death as the penalty of sin. If a believer becomes divine, like Jesus (being both divine and human) it would follow that like Jesus, they cannot fail, which is clearly incorrect. Jesus had authority to lay down His life and authority to take it again. A Christian could never claim such a thing.
A similar but opposite idea is held by some that refer to Jesus as their ‘big brother’…
Care needs to be exercised to preserve the peerless distinctiveness of Jesus as both divine and human. We are to become Christ-like but that is not the same thing as becoming divine or as is stated ‘having a divine nature’.
God alone is Divine! A believer is given to enjoy relationship with that which is Divine but this in itself does NOT permit a believer to claim divinity. A believer overcomes, not as a result of a divine nature, but by depending on the Holy Spirit. Satan’s downfall was pride and seeking equivalence with God. A believer needs to be very careful not to fall into the trap of thinking they ever become equal with the Godhead.
With love, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Please EXPLAIN. Peter said we are born of the WORD.
and Paul said, “if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation..”
I believe I’m in Christ, so what is new?
The Bible said we are sons of God, was it joking?
“Sons of a(the) God?” Whoa!
What does the Bible mean when it says Jesus is the king of kings. Do you think it was talking about king of queen Elizabeth etc. No, He is the King of Kings (us), the Lord of Lords, the High Priest of Priests even God is referred to as the God of gods (explain).
I still don’t know how He can be the Head and we His body but we have different nature o, or how He is the Tree and we are the branches but some say He like olive tree and we are like mango (please explain)
I thought he that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit and he that is born of the Spirit is spirit.
I thought we were born of the Word and I thought the Word is eternal. So how can something eternal produce something not eternal . I thought a tree is known by its fruits.
There are 613 laws of Moses and I heard somebody say we are still under the Law, hope you’re keeping all of them.
Are you God, a god (with a little “g”), the Word or just hugely deceived?
Dear Nyerho
When you are born again, you indeed become a new creature in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) as you are now IN Christ, you become a CHILD of God, you do not become a little god.
Tell me, can you create? Word of Faith teaches that because you are the WORD (a Christ) you can create with your Words. So tell me, what have you created lately?
You said “What does the Bible mean when it says Jesus is the king of kings. Do you think it was talking about king of queen Elizabeth etc. No, He is the King of Kings (us),…)
Well now, Nyerho, you see this is what happens when you close your eyes and take a flying leap over the end of the cliff hoping there is water beneath you and not ground. In this case you have hit solid ground.
The phrase “king of kings” is used in the bible 6 times.
1) In (1 Timothy 6:15) it is applied to God the Father
2) In (Revelation 17:14; 19:16) its applied to the Lord Jesus twice.
3) In (Ezra 7:12; Ezekiel 26:7; Daniel 2:37) it is actually referring to Artaxerxes or Nebuchadnezzar, who were ACTUALLY KINGS. The phrase is used to show their complete sovereignty over their kingdoms that being Persia and Babylon. So yes, in today’s age Kings could very well be the Queen of England, or Vladimir Putin in Russia etc, etc.
4) Twice the phrase “lord of lords” is used by itself in the bible and refers to God the Father and Him alone (Deuteronomy 10:17; Psalm 136:3).
5) In Revelation 19:16 Jesus Christ is given the full title “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” In (Revelation 17:14) it’s flipped around and says: “LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS”. The whole title indicates that HE has absolute power to exercise absolute dominion over all His realm which is ALL of CREATION.
6) When Jesus Christ is called “King of kings and Lord of lords,” it means that when He returns all the rulers of the earth will be conquered, and He alone will rule and reign supreme as King and Lord of all creation.
You live in a sand castle Nyerho.
You said “There are 613 laws of Moses and I heard somebody say we are still under the Law, hope you’re keeping all of them.”
Not sure it’s got to do with this comment…but anyhow… :dazed:
