LOL, and your point is? There are millions of quotes out there by ‘anonymous’ people….so again what’s you point? And where did I attribute this quote to SOMEONE? If you want to be that someone then be my guest.
Fascinating how you take an anonymous quote and attribute it to someone.
OK, if you insist, I’ll spell it out.
Because the quote is anonymous, you have NO PROOF WHATSOEVER that the person who allegedly made that statement was “new age” or “emergent”.
Your statement that this is a “new age emergent quote” takes strawman “logic” to dizzying heights never before attained by mortals. For this, I guess, you are to be congratulated. I’ll bet you didn’t even use a sherpa.
Oh my word….I am so sorry Brendt that a (daisy, rainbow coloured, new age, tree of life, meditation, emergent, all faiths welcome) pamphlet landed in my post box where people could attend a speech on ‘A Golden Age Merging World’. If only I knew I would get such dumb questions because I took a quote from this pamphlet and put it on my website in the correct context of the pamphlet. But thinking about it I hope I do get to do it again… because you really did make me laugh.
Silly me for not assuming that the quote was from something in your mailbox. I mean, it was so obvious from your utter lack of attribution.
>> Your statement that this is a “new age emergent quote” takes strawman “logic” to dizzying heights never before attained by mortals
“dizzying heights never before attained by morlas”? Hehe… been practicing your contemplative prayer regularly cos this does allow you to attain dizzying heights never before attained by ‘mortals’ – but you have to practice…like Desmond Tutu tells all Emergents too. You can’t argue with Des!
Brendt said: Fascinating how you assume that I am emergent and/or have ever engaged in contemplative prayer.
— I never assumed you were, you came here out of the blue and spoke on their behalf.
— This quote is from an anoymous person who is engaged in Emergent New Age teaching. Unless you are saying this anonymous person is lying. errr….
— And I am soooooooooooooo happy you have never engaged in contemplative prayer – keep it that way.
This is such a pathetic conversation…honestly….One quote and you nearly blow a fuse? LOL. Gosh, can you image if I quoted: Scott McKnight, Richard Forster, Brian McLaren, Leonard Sweet, Rick Warren, Nelus Niemand, Stephan Joubert, Rob Bell, Thomas Bandy, Bob Buford, Ken Blanchard, Martin Buber, Tony Campolo, Chuck Colson, Mark Driscoll, Peter Drucker, Eddie Gibbs, Tony Jones, Dan Kimball, Thomas Keating, Erwin McManus, Thomas Merton, Donald Miller, Henri Nouwen, Doug Pagitt, Robert Webber……
Gosh…they have REAL names!! Ohhh *faints* what will you do now. I feel like I am in an episode of Gone with the Wind.
Revising my original statement: Fascinating how you assume that I am emergent and/or have ever engaged in contemplative prayer.
Sorry you need a touch from God Himself. Your spirit is dead this is why you question God’s existence.
Your mind is so finite. You are delving into a matter that is beyond space and time.
Only bow your knees and confess that Jesus is Lord and you will be a lot wiser- when he gives you a bit of His spirit
Who are your speaking too?
Oh wait, are you a TB Joshua worshiper? Now your comment makes more sense. TB Joshua preaches that men can become gods.
Are you a god Andy?
I am only a sinner saved by His wonderful grace.
I worship the great Jehovah, not man.
I just give credit to whom credit and honour to whom honour.
