What is God Really Like…
I watched this live stream from 24:00 to 03:00 last night. Dr Nabeel Qureshi presented some excellent insights which Christians do not always note so easily when they read their Bibles. Anyone who does not repent and believe the Gospel after his compelling presentation is either wilfully blind or so hardened in their hearts that they no longer want to be saved. This is so sad, very sad indeed.
I was very surprised to see that the debate was interrupted to give the Muslims in the audience an opportunity to say their morning prayers. Christians will never be given an opportunity to say their morning prayers where Sharia Law reigns supreme. Makes you think, doesn’t it?
EJ Hill: The Other Side of Hillside is not what you think…
What if “Christians” (among them staunch Calvinists – EJ Hill) who have always thought and believed they were treading the right path on the right side of the hill suddenly realized they were actually treading the wrong path on the wrong side of the hill?
Should we be shocked when someone suddenly comes out of his/her spiritual closet and announces with bravado, “I have turned my back on the God of the Bible and am now following a new, more enlightened god called ATHEISM” or as EJ Hill recently put it, “The Alpha and Omega of My Exodus from Christianity – The True Story of a Christian Theologian’s Exodus from Evangelical Christianity to Atheism”?
What if these so-called Christians have always been atheists but refused all along to face the music and candidly admit that they have always been anti-God under the cloak of “Christian” piousness called CALVINISM? » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »
Ruth joined Dave in glory on October 24, 2013
It’s difficult to put into words the love and admiration that we at TBC have for Ruth Hunt, Dave’s wife of more than 60 years. She had grace and strength of character seldom seen these days. Ruth understood what it meant to be the help “meet” (or suitable) for her husband (Genesis:2:18) and was often invited to speak to women’s groups on being a godly woman. Ruth was not only a woman who knew what that meant, but she lived it every day. Her love and admiration for Dave were obvious to all, and yet she had her own mind and her own strengths that went far beyond her wifely characteristics. Ruth was a very gifted writer herself, and this talent contributed to her ability to help Dave with the editing and polishing of many of his books. Dave always said, “Ruth is my first editor!” She was also a generous helper to women everywhere and made lasting friendships wherever her travels took her. She had the ability to see beneath the surface and thus was an excellent one to turn to for advice on practically any matter. So discerning was she that one would never want to try to put something past her. She would have seen through it in a moment!

Preparing for Halloween
By Tillie Carson
Well, it’s that time of year again: the time when you can’t drive down the street without seeing inflatable witches and ghosts everywhere. Over the years there has been a lot of controversy over Halloween. Should Christians celebrate this holiday or not? For many, the answer is yes. Halloween is just a harmless time when the kids can dress up in fun costumes and go door to door asking for candy. But for others, it goes much deeper. Many Christians I have met simply do not know the history of Halloween. Personally, I feel that it’s an important thing to know, so I would like to take you with me back in time to find the origin of the second most popular holiday in the world. » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »
You have probably been wondering why a government would allow a few hundred thousand even millions of illegal immigrants into a country to take away the employment of the citizens of the country? If you have not heard of this, this is the latest news to hit the UK. The plan: The destruction of Christianity.
Come and take our jobs, Britain tells EU workers
BRITAIN is advertising 800,000 jobs to people in the European Union creating more competition for the unemployed at home, it was revealed yesterday.
Almost six in every 10 vacancies on a taxpayer-funded EU website are in the UK, raising questions about the Government’s approach to unemployment.
Germany, the economy of which is the EU’s largest, is second with 267,517 job advertisements, a third fewer.
The total number of vacancies on EURES, the European job mobility portal, as of yesterday was 1,450,490 – so UK jobs up for grabs total more than those in other EU states put together.
Ukip Leader Nigel Farage described the situation as “utterly reprehensible” when UK unemployment remains above 2.5 million. » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »
Deborah and Prof Johan Malan have forgiven each other and reconciled.
Prof Johan Malan has rendered proof that his friendship with Calvinists has in no way influenced his doctrinal position, and that he still stands by everything that he has published to refute Calvinism. DTW staff have wrongly concluded that the aforementioned friendship represented a deviation in his theological thinking, but this has now shown to be not the case. DTW is sorry for the articles and comments that were published against him, and sincerely apologise for that. Mutual trust has been restored between Johan and Deborah, who both have their own independent ministries but work together when the occasion demands.

Old Testament Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus Christ
All of these prophesies were made hundreds, sometimes thousands, of years before Jesus Christ was born. Looking in the face of how He literally fulfilled them all (plus hundreds more), it is an impossibility that He is not the Messiah, i.e., the Savior of the world.
The ONLY person… past, present or future… who could fulfill all these prophecies is Jesus Christ. » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »
Do Not Procrastinate, CALL!
Do you know that the words “call” or calling” are some of the most important words in the world? You don’t? Perhaps you may have thought that “love” or “money” or “relationships” or “compassion” or even “good works” were the most important.
You’re wrong, they’re not. But how is it that “call” can be more important than “love” and “compassion,” you may protest. OK, I will admit that the word “call” may seem less important than “love” and “compassion” but when “call” is used together with “God” (who is the very essence of love and compassion) then there is no word in existence that equals its importance.
Why is the word “call” so important? First of all the word “call” (when it is used with God) comprehensively includes a sense of finality; it effectually determines one’s final destination. You may ask: “What on earth led you to believe that?” Well, let’s look at some solid evidence for my statement.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: (Joel 2:32)
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Acts 2:21)
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
Wow, have you noticed that the exact same words are used in three different parts of the Bible? That makes it pretty important, doesn’t it? It is as though, and I’m not suggesting that it is, the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) each wanted to make the very same statement with an intent to show that they are in complete agreement. Now, let’s take a look at the characteristics of this statement. » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »
Back to Rome or is it Babylon?
In Revelation chapter 17 the apostle John was given an amazing vision of a church that will dominate the entire human race in the end time and is going to force the entire world population to worship the beast from the earth, also known as Antichrist.
Could it be that the Emerging or Emergent Church which is making so much headway in the world today, especially amongst the intellectual younger generation, is being groomed for this particular task?
Are you amazed and perhaps even a wee bit angered at such a blanket statement? You shouldn’t get too upset because the apostle John was also just as or even more amazed at what he saw.
In verse 6 we are told that when he saw a woman drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus, he marveled greatly with wonderment and admiration.
At first glance it may seem a bit odd that John was overcome by wonderment and admiration by such a scene of bloodshed and persecution. Indeed, John was utterly amazed when he saw a woman sitting on a scarlet coloured beast full of names of blasphemy and a name written on her forehead “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH AND THE BABYLONIAN CONNECTION
In his celebrated book “THE TWO BABYLONS” Reverend Alexander Hislop wrote the following insightful introduction:

Firewalking is becoming a common practice in South Africa;
Not among the Hindu’s who have been doing it for hundreds of years, but among white South Africans who are fooled into thinking that walking across burning hot coals will help you achieve success in your life among other things. A number of entrepreneurs have taken it upon themselves to use firewalking as a company team building exercise or for personal gain while they cash in on your lack of knowledge.
How can one walk over hot coals and not get burnt?
There are the scientists who say there is a purely reasonable explanation for all this, and that is most people who walk on the coals walk over so quickly their feel barely touch the coals. Scientists have done research and found out that ash does not conduct heat, so if there is ash strewn over the burning coals the chances of you getting burnt is slim, another reason for not getting burnt is that the bottom of the foot is cooler than the hot coals (no kidding) and it takes a couple of seconds for your foot touching the hot coals to warm up to the point that you get burnt. Another reason is that the bottom of your foot is insulated with a thin layer of moisture which prevents major injury. But having said all that, that’s not the main issue… » PLEASE CONTINUE READING HERE »
