Discernamentalist Mafia

onlinediscernmentalistmafia - www.onlinediscernamentalistmafia.comThe Online Discernamentalist Mafia

… is 1 of 3 blogs by I. Todyaso or Iggy from WordofMouthMinistries

Iggy is on the leadership team at Billings Vineyard Church (Montana, United States).  Iggy is also part of the Emergent Church and is bent on mocking born again Christians who adhere to the Word of God.

The subtitle of The Online Discernmentlist Mafia (ODM) is the following:   “Protecting The Sovereign God and His Truth from those who are out to destroy the church. A SATIRE/PARODY blog.”

No surprises here really, because reducing the Bible and Jesus Christ into nothing more than a joke is what the false Christ/anti-Christ is all about.  Iggy attacks many Discernment Ministries, I am not the only one.

This is the message on the front of the blog:

“Before you get all bent out of shape, please realize this is a satire site spoofing the so-called “discernment ministries” who deem themselves more worthy of Grace than the rest of us. So read and have fun! BTW, we are not against “good” discernment ministries that do actual real research and extend grace to others, only the bad ones.” …

Iggy and friends have had a go at many discernment ministries out there, like:

  • Apprising Ministries,
  • Christian Research Net,
  • Herescope,
  • Slice of Laodicea
  • etc.

But at the end of the day we do need to say thank you to Iggy, because in his own vicious little way he helps expose himself and others.

These are the people that inspire Iggy as taken from his WordofMouthMinistries blog.  I am not sure where Iggy receives most of his inspiration from to write with such hatred about the Word of God and born again Christians.  It can’t be from everyone he has listed under the section “People Who Inspire Me on his blog.

If you  feel you don’t want to be an inspiration for Iggy in any way, please feel free to contact Iggy and ask him to remove you from his list on his WordofMouthMinistries blog.  Then comment below and I will remove you from the list below or add a note next to your blog or website name.

All this started with my Article on Amahoro (a conference held in South Africa with Brian McLaren attending)

New article by Iggy – 7/06/2009 09:16:00 AM

How do you even respond to outright liars and… well… idiots?

I mean this as loving as I can… I mean she is what she is and I guess being a liar and… well… an idiot is fine with her… really it is sad someone claims Jesus and stoops to this worlds methods of trying to harm someone else… I introduce, Discerning the World…

Funny who she left out on my blog roll… but then if any even takes a minute to read her site and then interact with her… will come away knowing she is most probably mentally ill.

But I do thank her for the free promotion… I am sure anyone that goes to her site will check my sites out and see that she is in fact an idiot. Can’t turn down free advertising. Now, I know someone is out there thinking, “iggy you are not being very Graceful toward Deborah…”Well I am… After all she is trashing all my friends… as to why?  Only that she hates me for some reason.

Deborah, hate is not a Christian virtue…

Pray for her… she really needs it. Yes, that is what we do for idiots… pray for them.. and love them in spite of the damage they do to themselves and others.

On the 13th July or there abouts.  Iggy was loving enough to help contributed in a very graceful manner to a wordpress blog that was set up by one of his friend.  They called the blog url discerningtheworld(3).wordpress…  my blog name at the was discerningtheworld(2).wordpress… and I was the original owner of discerningtheworld.worpdress.com that I deleted last year 2008.

The person who signed up this url (with contributions and ideas from ‘friends’) took the same grey theme I use, took my author name Discerning the World and my baby elephant avatar to try replicate my blog.   The ultimate goal of this scheme was for them to have a playground where they could throw hateful insults at me non stop.

This is a snapshot and quote from discerningtheworld3.wordpress  – This is what Emergent thinkers think, these are the types of thoughts that run through their minds:

FakeDTWblog - AboutPage

Thanks for dropping by!    This is Discerning the World III, a site dedicated to truth and discerning things online (indeed, the entire world) which cannot be detected, and will not be detected, face to face.  Why the number 3?  Well, number one is too arrogant and we are anything but that. And it came to our attention during an intense discernment period that the number 2 is not fitting for any blog that claims to be genuinely Christian.  Two is a number that reminds us of the followers going 2 by 2  into the ark.   We refuse to be thought of as just another ass following suit.  If anything we are leading the charge in the war against truth!

Therefore we decided our name would be Discerning the World THREE.   Three is, after all, biblical.  Noah had 3 sons (Shem, Ham and Japheth), Joseph had a dream of three baskets, Aaron was eighty-THREE and he and Moses spoke with Pharaoh, total darkness covered Egypt for 3 days in one of the plagues, women are to wait 33 days to be purified from their bleeding before they touch anything sacred, Balaam’s donkey complained of being beaten 3 times, King Saul had 3 sons, Samson ‘performed’ in front of 3 thousand Philistines in his final act, Job had 3 daughters, Peter disowned Jesus 3 times and of course, the greatest reason we find the number 3 to be more biblical than the number 2 is because of the 3 greatest things.  But to know that you have to turn to 1 Corinthians 13:13 (more 3s!).”

Anyhow, I have so far received many awards from the Discernamentalist Mafia – I must be doing something right.

Sorry – now I apologize to you. I see that you have written a caveat by my name. Thank you.

  2. Discerning The World says:

Rick, I have like tons of people speaking to me on a daily basis all expecting replies. It’s very difficult for me. I will reply where I can. For now, nope, nothing to say right now, this moment. You are welcome to comment on other articles too.

  3. rick says:

Now that we have adjusted our “tones”, it may be interesting and fruitful to continue to interact regarding this. Would you find value in that or were your questions rhetorical?

If you would like to continue discussion, is your preference email or via blog comments? For me, email may be easier but if you thought the exchange beneficial for others, then blog comment is ok with me.

I’m traveling to the Ukraine and back this week so response may be slow. Just indicate what you like, even if it’s “drop it” and I will reply as soon as I can.

  4. Joe says:

Anyhow…thats enough for one day, or night…I need to repair my armour for the great attack that will come upon me tomorrow. Never a dull day when standing up for Jesus Christ the Son of God and His Gospel Truth.

hahah. You realize this is just a blog. That’s it. You’re not fighting any great spiritual battle, you’re just hiding behind anonymity and saying what you want. When you’re questioned, or called to stand for account you claim persecution. I doubt very much God is all that pleased with what you write here, and I doubt you think that He is either. Sure, you’ll come back with something witty to attack my intelligence or character but deep in your heart you know the truth. God is repulsed by what you write here. You just can’t give that small voice in your gut any room or you’ll have to stop and if you stop how will you feed your anger?

  5. Discerning The World says:

    Dear Joe

I think Rob Bell is very pleased with you that you are here standing up for him and his occult teaching. This is a spiritual battle. If you read your bible you would know that.

    Ephesians 6:12

    New International Version
–For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

    New American Standard Bible
–For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

    International Standard Version
–For our struggle is not against human opponents, but against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers in the darkness around us, and evil spiritual forces in the heavenly realm.

Gave you 3 translations just incase you don’t understand. I hope you do now.

    And then:

    Ephesians 6:10-18

Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints….”

The ARMOUR is the WORD OF GOD.

But you are always welcome to ask Rob Bell if this is true. Love to know what he has to say on this.

  6. Joe says:

DELETED – Joe is one of those who tells everyone else they accuse and judge while he accuses and judges.

  7. Discerning The World says:

    >> Of course seeing the difference is a matter of proper discernment.

that’s right… so why can’t you see the difference.

  8. parody/satire is what it is….typically a way to show some reality using a device that is funny. If you read the ‘transparent’ (IE MAFIA) blog you would see that Jesus is NOT being mocked rather the trumped up discernment that passes itself off as ministry and as representatives of Jesus that is being dismantled and satirized.

Of course seeing the difference is a matter of proper discernment.

  9. Discerning The World says:

Yesssssss, it’s all one sided is it not. Pity I deleted Bruce’s first comment that was not worded very nicely to me. I chose to use the artistic metaphor for his blog name because quite recently I was metaphorically compared to a suicide bomber on Nic Paton’s blog by some guy called Andrew. Since Online Discernamentalist Mafia is all poetic and satirical and metaphoric and artistic and whatever else I thought I would just keep up with the latest trend on how to show love.

So as you said, “parody/satire is what it is….typically a way to show some reality using a device that is funny.” Oh I laughed so much when I was compared to a suicide bomber.. it was really funny…no really. Best joke ever.

  10. Greetings my sister in Christ,

I have no problems with discernment per se. We need to divide truth and error. But while you accuse others of ‘hate’ it seems that you carry little respect for those you see fit to chastise (case in point ‘Bruce Droppings’. I wonder….is Bruce Droppings a metaphor for……. no can’t be…” Is that necessary and will you ‘win’ an argument by such insinuation?

St. Peter calls us to have reverence and respect for others (especially non-believers) and we are called by Jesus to love one another (fellow believers) as a mark of Christian brotherhood. In addition Pauline apologetics sets us an example of building bridges to those whose world view is an anti-thesis to the one Jesus expose. I hope that this will help set the pace for further conversations for others who come here to discover/ engage in discernment and apologetics is all about.

Therefore, let us dismantle bad arguments rather than attempting to undermine people.

PS I would highly recommend reading Victor Reppert, William Lane Craig, Ravi Zacharias, Habermas as examples of very good apologetics / discernment (hope that helps!)

I said: “Iggy was loving enough to help contributed in a very graceful manner to a fake ‘DTW3’ wordpress blog that was set up by one of his ‘friends’. ” You commented there so you helped to contribute? right… Did your friend not email you to tell you it was up and you needed to come over and comment and you all laughed thinking it was soooo funny to steal my identity??

I never said you were the one that created this fake DTW3 blog Iggy. All I said was that you assisted the person (you knew what the was doing, you knew what he was upto).

I know who did this. You can carry on with your OD mafia website, I can’t be bothered with that one or you for that matter. It’s identity theft I have problem with and you know very well who started it all.

And no Iggy, I didn’t bring anything upon myself. I did not hold a gun to said persons head and force him to do what he did and make a replica of my blog and steal my identity. He is quite capable of vicious deeds all by himself, no DIY manual requied.

  12. itodyaso says:

Deborah… I have nothing to do with the DTW3… you brought that on yourself… do not blame me. Good grief.

I made a few comments on it that is all. In fact I am a bit opposed to them “stealing” your identity.

Please get your facts straight and stop lying about me.

  13. I get so confused about my identity at times that I find I even delete my own comments! Hey! Don’t disagree with me! [DELETED FOR ASKING ME TOO MANY QUESTIONS THAT I CANNOT ANSWER]

    See? I did it again.

We will discern this world together, Deborah. Keep up the vicious stand for TRUTH! To hell with all the “love” talk!

[Edited: This is the person who impersonated my blog and name]

  14. Discerning The World says:

    Well…fake Discerning The World 3

You see…that’s where you are wrong on all counts 🙂

Ah I might as well tell you; one of your gang snitched, wonder who turned their backs on you all, but their face is still turned in your direction. Ouch, who can you trust eh! Tough world we live in especially when it’s filled with tricksters and jesters and jokers and thieves.

  15. Amanda says:

I have nothing to do with the DTW3

    you brought that on yourself

You provoked them into sinning against you?

I made a few comments on it that is all.

In fact I am a bit opposed to them

    A bit.

    to them “stealing” your identity.

Please get your facts straight and stop lying about me.

Iggy is rebuking you in no uncertain terms. Notice the lack of quotation marks around ‘lying’. How come emergents are quick to take a firm stand against Christians while those of other religions and no religion get a free pass? What is going on here?

  16. Amanda says:

DTW 3. What you did in stealing DTW’s identity is wrong. Repent and knock it off.

  17. Chad Holtz, Methodist Church pastor in North Carolina, fired for questioning whether hell exists

Hell hath no fury like a ministry scorned.

A pastor at a Methodist Church in North Carolina lost his job after questioning traditional views on the nature of hell.

Chad Holtz got his walking papers after posting a note on Facebook supporting a controversial book by an evangelical preacher that rethinks hell as a place for billions of damned souls.

“I think justice comes and judgment will happen, but I don’t think that means an eternity of torment,” Holtz said. “I can understand why people in my church aren’t ready to leave that behind. It’s something I’m still grappling with myself.”

The book, written by Rob Bell and titled “Love Wins,” has caused quite a stir for questioning the belief that only a select number of Christians are allowed in heaven while everyone else burns in eternal hell fire.

Traditional Christians say the book’s point is very similar to the theological position of universalism, which is considered heresy for many churches.

Bell denies he is a universalist and says he is just arguing that Christian teaching focuses too much attention on hell.

Officials with Holtz’s church declined to discuss his firing in detail, but suggested there was more to it than his position on hell. [Emphasis added]

Holtz said he continues to work on reconciling his beliefs but feels liberated by making his struggle public.

“So long as we believe there’s a dividing point in eternity, we’re going to think in terms of us and them,” Holtz said. “When you believe God has saved everyone, the point is, you’re saved. Live like it.”

Chad Holtz was part of the Discernamentalist Mafia crowd.
I wish Chad Holtz would liberate himself further and apologise publicly for making the following website: http://www.discerningtheworld3.wordpress.com!
