AN EARTHQUAKE REDEMPTION – Part 2

AN EARTHQUAKE REDEMPTION – Part 2

Listen:

A REAL DEATH FOR SIN, FOR EVERYONE, OR JUST A FEW ELECT?

If ALL have sinned and ALL come short of the glory of God, then Jesus Christ must have died for ALL mankind, and not just for a select few, unless of course, the elect are the only ones who sin and have sinned, which is preposterous, to say the least. MacArthur continued in this dastardly vain tone of erroneous statements when he tried to explain why there is a heaven and a hell.

The Calvinist Shredder – Jeremiah 1:5

The Calvinist Shredder Jeremiah 1:5The Calvinist Shredder – Jeremiah 1:5

Louis Mathys Ackermann

Louis Matthys Ackermann

Jeremiah 1:5  – In this edition of my series of short articles which was sparked by a friend, Louis Matthys Ackermann, and who has since unfriended himself on my Facebook page because I am an anti-Calvinist (some of my best friends in the Calvinist fold call me the Antichrist), I would like to focus on an Old Testament passage Jeremiah 1:5 the reformed theologians love to quote to validate their views on election and predestination.

Before we dig a little deeper into the meaning of Jeremiah 1:5, I would first like to remind our self-unfriended Facebook friend, Louis Ackermann , that Jesus was more of a gentleman than he could ever be. Why? Because he never unfriended one of his worst enemies. Listen to this, Mr. Ackermann, and learn from it.

The Calvinist Shredder – Psalm 139:16

The Calvinist Shredder Ps 139_16The Calvinist Shredder –  Psalm 139:16

The Calvinist Shredder – Whenever some of my “friends” contact me via my private message box on Facebook, doing their utmost to convert me to Calvinism, I see it as a golden opportunity to present them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not, I repeat NOT, the gospel of another Jesus. shredder

Louis Mathys Ackermann

Louis Matthys Ackermann

During my latest tête-à-tête with Loius Matthys Ackermann, someone I have known for quite some time on Facebook, sent me a list of Bible verses which he believes are ample proof that the doctrines of grace (Calvinism) are the warp and woof of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In point of fact, he accused me of “not knowing the Gospel that was created before the foundation of the world” and that “he was beginning to think that I, as an Arminian, was an ignoramus in regard to sound theology.”

Orbital Hermeneutics by John MacArthur

Orbital Hermeneutics Election PredestinationOrbital Hermeneutics

Once your mind gets hooked or locked onto a central idea or theme in your view of life and the world, everything you say or do will orbit or circle that idea or theme, in much the same way satellites orbit the earth. Hence the title of this article “Orbital Hermeneutics.”

For instance, let’s assume you are a Calvinist and the earth in the picture on the left represents election/predestination/God’s sovereignty, the most common thing you would do then, is to make all your sermons or Gospel presentations circle your mindset of election, predestination and God’s sovereignty.

No matter what you preach to people, your mind will always predictably gravitate towards election, predestination and God’s sovereignty, albeit a warped idea of election, predestination and God’s sovereignty.

As may have been expected, this is precisely what John MacArthur does in his Amazing sermon on Election from Luke 4.

The Tail Between the Legs Calvinists

Tail Between Legs Calvinists

The Tail Between the Legs Calvinists

The expression “running away with your tail between your legs” has become quite relevant lately during my discussion with a group of Calvinists who attacked the DRC’s decision to accept same sex relationships and marriages, and also to accept gays as fully ordained ministers.  As usual, the discussion on this blog ended in a cul de sac because a group of “tail between the legs” Calvinists did not have the guts to answer my penetrating questions.

It all started like this:

A sister in the Lord sent me the following video that I watched immediately.

Was Charles Haddon Spurgeon a Clairvoyant?

Charles Haddon Spurgeon - Is he a clairvoyantSANCTIFYING A CLAIRVOYANT

Simon the sorcerer was much-admired as “the great power of God” until Peter exposed him as a fraud, charlatan and a demon inspired clairvoyant. (Acts 8:9-11).

Like him many false apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, pastors and missionaries are today hailed as true men and women of God . . . but, are they?

When someone predicts something correctly does it mean they are inspired prophets of God?

And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. (Acts 16:16-18).

Believe it or not, even a demon is quite capable of telling the truth concerning the Gospel of salvation.

Walfoord and Zuck (The Bible Knowledge Commentary) explains this passage as follows:-

John Piper Debates A.W. Tozer

John Piper debates A.W. Tozer in defence of TULIP

John Piper made nine videos in defense of TULIP and Calvinism which can be viewed on his site “Desiring God.” In response to the Calvinists’ and John Piper’s unbiblical view of God’s sovereignty an ex-Calvinist, Leighton Flowers, Professor of Theology at Dallas Baptist University, Director of Youth Evangelism for Texas Baptists and a local teaching pastor, made this excellent audio. The music itself is not my cup of tea. However, it does not diminish the value of his message in anyway.  Leighton Flowers succeeds in his exposure of the hypocrisy of the Calvinistic view of God’s sovereignty.

EJ Hill: The Other Side of Hillside

E.J. Hill - Hillside

EJ Hill

EJ Hill: The Other Side of Hillside is not what you think…

What if “Christians” (among them staunch Calvinists – EJ Hill) who have always thought and believed they were treading the right path on the right side of the hill suddenly realized they were actually treading the wrong path on the wrong side of the hill?

Should we be shocked when someone suddenly comes out of his/her spiritual closet and announces with bravado, “I have turned my back on the God of the Bible and am now following a new, more enlightened god called ATHEISM” or as EJ Hill recently put it, “The Alpha and Omega of My Exodus from Christianity – The True Story of a Christian Theologian’s Exodus from Evangelical Christianity to Atheism”?

What if these so-called Christians have always been atheists but refused all along to face the music and candidly admit that they have always been anti-God under the cloak of “Christian” piousness called CALVINISM?

Only The Elect are Lost; The Reprobate are Not

Death of the Reprobate - oil on panel painting by Hieronymus Bosch - Elect

Only The Elect are Lost –  The Reprobate are Not

Elect, Can you Solve this Riddle?

I assume you already know that the Reformed fraternity is celebrating the 500th anniversary of John Calvin’s birth on 10 July 1509 this year. You don’t? Well, then it’s about time you dust off the cobwebs from your history books.

First off, I must warn you that this is a Calvinistic riddle and they are usually tougher than a genuine South African Boere-toffee. Those of you who do not know the real meaning of the words ‘world, whomsoever, and all men’, should not even try to solve the riddle and rather bow out right now.

OK!  Let’s set the scene with a few very potent quotes from the lips of some of the most famous and distinguished Calvinists. The Elect - by Luca Signorelli 1499-1502 - Elect

Many professing a desire to defend the Deity from an invidious charge admit the doctrine of election, but deny that any one is reprobated (Bernard. in Die Ascensionis, Serm. 2).

This they do ignorantly and childishly since there could be no election without its opposite, reprobation. God is said to set apart those whom he adopts for salvation.

It were most absurd to say, that he admits others fortuitously, or that they by their industry acquire what election alone confers on a few.

Those, therefore, whom God passes by he reprobates, and that for no other cause but because he is pleased to exclude them from the inheritance which he predestines to his children (John Calvin: Institutes of the Christian Religion Book 3, Chapter 23, Sec. 2226)

Huguenots, John Calvin and Freemasonry

Huguenots John Calvin and FreemasonryWho were the Huguenots and what did they believe?

Fleeing religious persecution of Protestants in France after the 1685 revocation of the Edict of Nantes (which had guaranteed their rights), 200 000 French Huguenots emigrated to countries such as Switzerland. Germany, England, America, and South Africa.

Amongst the first Huguenots to come were Francois Villion (Viljoen) and the du Toit brothers, François and Guillaume. Actually, the very first was Maria de la Quellerie, Jan van Riebeeck’s wife. Between 1688 and 1689 a large-scale emigration programme of Huguenots who had fled to the Netherlands was organised to the Cape of Good Hope – then a colony of the Dutch East India Company, which needed more settlers to provide food for the passing fleets. It began on December 31, 1687, and in total some 180 Huguenots from France, and 18 Walloons from the present-day Belgium, eventually settled at the Cape of Good Hope, comprising about one sixth of the free burgher population. Individuals continued to arrive sporadically until the termination of the state subsidised emigration in 1707. By 1720 about 270 French refugees had settled in the Cape. [1]
