Cuban FM appeals for a new world order more just and equitable
Havana, Sep 18.
– The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, appealed Friday for the creation of a new world order more just and equitable, based on respect for the law and the principles of the UN’s Charter.
While welcoming in Havana the representatives from 15 countries, who are participating in the 3rd Ministerial Meeting Cuba-Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Cuban FM said that Latin America and the Caribbean are experiencing a new and promising boost towards integration.
He added that integration based on solidarity, cooperation and willingness to reach higher levels of development would result in a higher well-being for Latin American and Caribbean peoples, in a way that preserves their sovereignty and identity.
Speaking on behalf of the Caribbean Community, Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of Dominica, said that the regional organization remains convinced that the progress of cooperation with Cuba at all levels is essential. (Taken from RHC)
