Kobus van Rensburg – Smashes Ark of the Covenant

This is shocking.  Once again false Prophet Kobus van Rensburg from Spirit Word Ministries in South Africa is at it again.  This time smashing a replica of the Ark of the Covenant, breaking the 10 commandments, hears ‘something’ speak to him and calls the Cherubims of glory a “dragon” at the end of the video.  What is more disconcerting is the way his congregation is cheering him on, a total lack of discernment on their part.  This video is proof that Kobus van Rensburg is at enmity with God.  Listen to the video and then I will explain where the Ark of the Covenant is.

The video is presented by the late Mark Woodman.  A WARNING, to genuine Christians, this will make you feel sick as it encroaches upon something very sacred to us.

As Christians we understand very well what the Ark of the Covenant means to us.  Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross replaces the Old Testaments sacrifices and physical Ark of the Covenant.  The New Covenant with Jesus Christ replaces the Old.  However, we as Christians will not make a replica of the Ark of the Covenant and smash it plus it’s contents because the physical Ark of the Covenant represents the spiritual Ark of the Covenant that is in the Holy of Holies in Heaven with God.

Please read Hebrews 9:1-28

1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

The Ark of the Covenant is always close to God.  In the Old Testament the Ark of the Covenant was made with human hands and reflected what was in Heaven.  Now the physical Ark of the Covenant is gone, but the heavenly Ark of the Covenant remains in the Holy of Holies (temple) in Heaven.  And this is where Jesus entered as our High Priest after he ascended into heaven and sprinkled His blood in the Holy of Holies.  “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” (Hebrews 9:12)

How do we know the Ark of the Covenant is in Heaven?

Well the bible tells us so:

Revelation 11:19

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament [covenant]: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Kobus van Rensburg has some serious answering to do on Judgement day.

    Those people listening to him have no clue what is really going on. There is a battle going on in that building they are in and that battle is for their very souls. They are losing. They are being feasted upon by a ravenous wolf…laughing the whole time.

    I noticed the people started cheering just before he struck the “ARK” the first time. Why? What were they cheering? Then every time he broke or tore apart something else they cheered. Why? What or who were they cheering on?

    I really do not know the man but I know there are packs of wolves just like him here in the USA. Does he honestly believe Jesus heard him when he said, Jesus help me?

    Without the blood of Jesus being applied to the Mercy Seat in Heaven none of us would be saved. I thought about Jesus standing and pouring out His blood so that this heretic could be saved and then that heretic destroys a replica of the mercy seat.

    Wolf in sheep’s clothing…that is what this man is…nothing less, nothing more. Wolf.

    Wow Wow wha Shooo Wow.
    If this is not a perfect example of how people will be deceived and receive the false Christ and worship him -Oh Lord almighty have mercy on these folk,it seems they do not know what they are doing.This must rank with what Judas did to Jesus what a betrayal.

    Just recently I watched a bit of TBN with East londons River Church ‘s Roeboert,s doing a “Revival”and Healing” event in Durban -The way they were trying so hard to emulate their USA counterpart deceivers with there “the Lord will heal you once you sow your seed”
    I was thoroughly moved to go lay charges against them with the police for fraud…man I was cross-

    These folk remind me of the baal worshipers in the account of Elija

    It’s absolutely astonishing, shocking isn’t it. And then you have people like S.E Brown come and attack us in the worst possible way and calls Thomas Lessing a homosexual because he exposes the truth. The bible says they would call good evil and evil good – and that is exactly what she did.

  5. Morgan Silva says:

    The monks of Tana Kirkos believe they are living on the island where the Ark of the covenant rested, and where Levitical-style blood sacrifices were performed until 338 A.D., when the nation of Ethiopia converted to Christianity.

    Hi Guys ,

    Do yourself a favor and listen to the FULL recorded sermon that was preached on that day regarding the AOC. The compiled video clip that is published on this site takes the whole situation and turns it into joke. I have seen the full teaching , and the message behind it was awesome. But I can understand that when you only see this video clip it would make no sense at all!!! I just think that the person who posted this video clip had a mission to make the teaching look like something from the underground and left out crucial things that was said before and after the fact .

    I think you are telling tales. I can’t possibly image what he could have preached that would warrant smashing the arc of the covenant, listening to an imaginary voice and calling the cherubs on the arc dragons.

    No sure what made me feel sicker the video of Kobus or my pecan nuts.

    I get so angry when I watch this rubbish. He is a con man and don’t you dare try and tell me he is a man of God. Don’t insult my Father in that manner.

    Good Day,
    I would like to know
    what the date was when
    Kobus van Rensberg
    smashed the ark..
    Thanking You In Advance
    Blessings

  10. Sydney K de Bruyn,

    Why is the date so important to you? And by the way, he did not smash the ark. He smashed an effigy of the ark. Had the real ark been around today, God would probably have struck down dead Kobus van Rensburg in the same way He struck down dead Uzza who inadvertently put out his hand to stop the ark from falling off the cart.

    And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart. And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets. And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God. (1 Ch 13:7-10)/blockquote>

    Die man is mos nou dood. Kom ons los hom uit. Daar is genoeg ander wat nog leef wat uitgelig moet word. Ek stem saam met wat oor Kobus se leerstellings gese word, maar hy is nou uit die pad. Wat van Morris cerrullo?

    Francois, The fact that Kobus is dead does not mean that his teachings do not live on in his followers. We should still confront his false teachings. He has brought the church in SA into disrepute, and this is a sad thing. We should warn his followers that still defend him.

    I do not agree that we should insult the man, but we should expose his false teaching which has it seems a cult following. Is his son continuing on in the same vein?

    Why do people persist in thinking that we are people-bashers? When are you going to realize that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the devil, his demons and their doctrines? Kobus may be dead, as many other false teachers like Cain, Balaam and Korah (Jude verse 11), but the devil, his demons and their doctrines are not. Their filth will live on until Christ returns and they are cast into hell for all eternity. Kobus, like all the other false teachers, had ample time to repent of their evil ways.

    But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality. Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works, and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.” (Revelation 2:20-23)

    Spiritual harlotry is much worse than physical harlotry.
