 Iggy is on the leadership team at Billings Vineyard Church (Montana, United States).  Iggy is also part of the Emergent Church and is bent on mocking born again Christians who adhere to the Word of God. 

The subtitle of The Online Discernmentlist Mafia (ODM) is the following:   “Protecting The Sovereign God and His Truth from those who are out to destroy the church. A SATIRE/PARODY blog.”

No surprises here really, because reducing the Bible and Jesus Christ into nothing more than a joke is what the false Christ/anti-Christ is all about.  Iggy attacks many Discernment Ministries, I am not the only one.

This is the message on the front of the blog: 

“Before you get all bent out of shape, please realize this is a satire site spoofing the so-called “discernment ministries” who deem themselves more worthy of Grace than the rest of us. So read and have fun! BTW, we are not against “good” discernment ministries that do actual real research and extend grace to others, only the bad ones.” …

Iggy and friends have had a go at many discernment ministries out there, like: 

• Apprising Ministries,
• Christian Research Net,
• Herescope,
• Slice of Laodicea
• etc.

But at the end of the day we do need to say thank you to Iggy, because in his own vicious little way he helps expose himself and others.

These are the people that inspire Iggy as taken from his WordofMouthMinistries blog.  I am not sure where Iggy receives most of his inspiration from to write with such hatred about the Word of God and born again Christians.  It can’t be from everyone he has listed under the section ”People Who Inspire Me“ on his blog.

If you  feel you don’t want to be an inspiration for Iggy in any way, please feel free to contact Iggy and ask him to remove you from his list on his WordofMouthMinistries blog.  Then comment below and I will remove you from the list below or add a note next to your blog or website name.

How do you even respond to outright liars and… well… idiots?

I mean this as loving as I can… I mean she is what she is and I guess being a liar and… well… an idiot is fine with her… really it is sad someone claims Jesus and stoops to this worlds methods of trying to harm someone else… I introduce, Discerning the World…

Funny who she left out on my blog roll… but then if any even takes a minute to read her site and then interact with her… will come away knowing she is most probably mentally ill.

But I do thank her for the free promotion… I am sure anyone that goes to her site will check my sites out and see that she is in fact an idiot. Can’t turn down free advertising. Now, I know someone is out there thinking, “iggy you are not being very Graceful toward Deborah…”Well I am… After all she is trashing all my friends… as to why?  Only that she hates me for some reason.

Deborah, hate is not a Christian virtue…

Pray for her… she really needs it. Yes, that is what we do for idiots… pray for them.. and love them in spite of the damage they do to themselves and others.

On the 13th July or there abouts.  Iggy was loving enough to help contributed in a very graceful manner to a wordpress blog that was set up by one of his friend.  They called the blog url discerningtheworld(3).wordpress…  my blog name at the was discerningtheworld(2).wordpress… and I was the original owner of discerningtheworld.worpdress.com that I deleted last year 2008.  

The person who signed up this url (with contributions and ideas from ‘friends’) took the same grey theme I use, took my author name Discerning the World and my baby elephant avatar to try replicate my blog.   The ultimate goal of this scheme was for them to have a playground where they could throw hateful insults at me non stop.

  I had no idea Iggy was bent on a one world religion. He seems to hide it so well, talking about how Jesus saves, loving Jesus, the grace of Jesus, that jesus died for us etc. Iggy must really hide his ‘one world religion’ deep down inside.

  If this posting is genuinely about discernment I would expect some genuine discernment…not over generalizations about Emerging, or Iggy or his blogs.

  I would suspect that despite the “Mafia” being a satire/parody of discernment blogs (this likely being one of them) it appears that Mafia is a) more discerning b) a bit more funny….except for the fact that readers here are to take your ‘missive’ a serious example of discernment.

  No he does not hide it at all well, I must say. His blog is exceptionally transparent, but of course only for those who want to see the truth and love Jesus Christ, and can’t stand to see their Lord and Saviour being mocked using Satire and Parody as a ‘cover up’.

  In fact you’ve got to be pretty blind not to see it. Oh that was a joke by the way.

  Don’t worry, that Iggy guy isn’t even funny.

  Now, there was a real satirist who pretended to be Cindy Jacobs selling her own clothing line of “anointed garments” or something a while back — now that guy knows what irony is all about. He had the cadences all down pat.

  Iggy is correct, though about conspiratorial ‘Christians” who read voodoo into everything. However, conspiratorialist Christians usually get all conspiratorial after they leave Third Wave, NAR or Emergent “Christian” Cults.

  You see, it’s all that bad teaching that wrecks their minds. I should know, I had two conversations today with a couple of my former NARbot friends.

  I told the Lord later that I imagine Hell would be something akin to being forced to listen to this dribble while chained to a wall and tape over your mouth. It’s truly stunning how these NAR teachings dismantle people’s minds.

  Oh I can just imagine. That makes me think that Todd Bentley could have made more money at Lakeland with a stand selling stick-on tattoos. Hmmmm maybe I shouldn’t say that to loud, cos just now they actually start doing it. Nothing cooler than a tattoo of Benny Hinn on your arm.

  Most people want to hear How God loves us, How Jesus loves us and how the Lord has a wonderful plan for our lifes, but they want nothing to do with the Righteous, Holy and Just God of the Bible that commands us to worship Him and Him alone.

  Strange how they long for the love and blessings of God, but reject the punishment when they have committed sin in the eyes of the Lord…

Did you even read some representative portion of my blog? I read some of yours and based on what I read I perceive that you will find enough in my blog to hate me but I do not perceive that you exerted any effort before making your charge. It is obvious to me that you represent the accuser and I’ll pray for your repentance.

  If at all you DO NOT AGREE with Iggy AT ALL, then please let us know here and then you can ask Iggy to take you OFF HIS LIST and I will do the same.

  If however you think that what Iggy says about born again Christians is ok, then by all means please…stay on his inspiration list.

  Your response lacks integrity. Yes, Iggy listed my as someone who inspires him. You list me as one who enables others to write hatred about the Word of God and born again Christians. You are the one who has demonstrated and incited hatred.

  Your reply to me is a dodge to avoid the point which is that you are guilty of making assumptions and responding from personal anger and bitterness. I’m sure you can now dig through my blog and find out enough about me to feel justified but the point here is that you had no idea of truth when you wrote this. You only embraced the seed of anger the the enemy of placed in your heart.

  I am neither defending nor attacking Iggy. I am only focused on you who profess to be Christ-like yet with no basis of truth found it appropriate to lash out at those you do not know. Shame on you.

  [EDITED by DTW: I have no guilt, I am not the one who has mocked and insulted Jesus Christ the Son of God, and I am not the one who refuses to take a stand against others who do so. If you are happy for people like Iggy to insults the Word of God and Jesus Christ then hey....nothing I can go.

  Anyhow back to deleting your comments. I am deleting your comments because I want you to go away lol. Now go write about me on your blog or on Iggy's blog about how evil I am etc. I could not be bothered what you guys write. I know where my salvation lies and that is with Jesus Christ the Son of God. It does not lie with some human where I am to scared to take sides for fear of offending someone and now that is called 'sin'.   I have edited the article slightly. Not because you think you have managed to threaten me in any way….but because I want people to go and look at your blog for themselves and see for themselves first hand what you believe. They can compare what they read on your blog to why you wont disagree or agree with Iggy at this point in time. The question remains. How can a ‘genuine’ Christian like yourself for one second tolerate such horrble stuff being said on Iggy’s blog and then still allow yourself to be linked to him as inspiration? I am not understanding this…

  I have read your blog, I’ve read quite a bit of it actually since yesterday. You seem very confused. You call yourself a Calvanist, yet you have images of Roman Cathothic Jesus as your heading image. You say you don’t agree with Peter Rollins, yet you agree with Rob bell. In one article you write that Brian McLaren is ok and then later you say he is not. You seem to taste test everything. If you don’t like it then you will say so, but at the same time you will find something that you can ‘take out’ for yourself. Like reading Frank Viola’s books sent t you by someone. You agree and disagree. You speak about Emergents as being something ok, but the moment you realise they are heading the move universalist direction then you change your mind. You seem half this way half that way ecumenical. Yet unity puts you off balance. OK, I see the last few weeks the articles on your blog are now more Word of Faith / Dominonist, Kingdom Now. Hmmm…. that’s a whole other discussion.

I do agree with you that I wrote was actually not the best way to explain the situation of who inspires who, so I’ve now edited it to allowed people to agree or disagree on the matter. But it still doesn’t let you off the hook. I just can’t understand how you for one second could even agree with Iggy and the stuff he has written. It’s not like there is anything on his sites that are even remotely biblcal. I’ve looked…and there is nothing. It’s all horrible stuff.

  Oh sigh….nevermind..I am off (and no not in a smelly way). See I still have a sense of humour after all of this. And NO I am not a child. Unlike a lot of Emergents out there who pick on Jesus Christ the Son of God when He has not yet returned to wipe them off the face of this planet. They have to do it now, cos they know they wont get away with it later.

  hahah. You realize this is just a blog. That’s it. You’re not fighting any great spiritual battle, you’re just hiding behind anonymity and saying what you want. When you’re questioned, or called to stand for account you claim persecution. I doubt very much God is all that pleased with what you write here, and I doubt you think that He is either. Sure, you’ll come back with something witty to attack my intelligence or character but deep in your heart you know the truth. God is repulsed by what you write here. You just can’t give that small voice in your gut any room or you’ll have to stop and if you stop how will you feed your anger?

  parody/satire is what it is….typically a way to show some reality using a device that is funny. If you read the ‘transparent’ (IE MAFIA) blog you would see that Jesus is NOT being mocked rather the trumped up discernment that passes itself off as ministry and as representatives of Jesus that is being dismantled and satirized.

  Of course seeing the difference is a matter of proper discernment.

  Greetings my sister in Christ,

  I have no problems with discernment per se. We need to divide truth and error. But while you accuse others of ‘hate’ it seems that you carry little respect for those you see fit to chastise (case in point ‘Bruce Droppings’. I wonder….is Bruce Droppings a metaphor for……. no can’t be…” Is that necessary and will you ‘win’ an argument by such insinuation?

  St. Peter calls us to have reverence and respect for others (especially non-believers) and we are called by Jesus to love one another (fellow believers) as a mark of Christian brotherhood. In addition Pauline apologetics sets us an example of building bridges to those whose world view is an anti-thesis to the one Jesus expose. I hope that this will help set the pace for further conversations for others who come here to discover/ engage in discernment and apologetics is all about.

  Therefore, let us dismantle bad arguments rather than attempting to undermine people.

  Yesssssss, it’s all one sided is it not. Pity I deleted Bruce’s first comment that was not worded very nicely to me. I chose to use the artistic metaphor for his blog name because quite recently I was metaphorically compared to a suicide bomber on Nic Paton’s blog by some guy called Andrew. Since Online Discernamentalist Mafia is all poetic and satirical and metaphoric and artistic and whatever else I thought I would just keep up with the latest trend on how to show love.

  I know who did this. You can carry on with your OD mafia website, I can’t be bothered with that one or you for that matter. It’s identity theft I have problem with and you know very well who started it all.
