I’m also in CRC Port Elizabeth, and my wife actually had the discernment from the beginning when we joined back when CRC just started, in PE, I however gave the church the benefit of the doubt, it just feel everyone wants to look better than the next person, and that the usher, sometimes force first time visitors to go to the altar, almost feeling like they are just trying to get more members, forgetting what this moment really means to the person doing it, it something sacred, and only you have that choice no one should force you, it’s something you want to do not force to do. I am not here to judge as the Bible clearly states in Luke 6:37 Don’t judge and you won’t be judged. But we also can’t just stay quiet about these things, the CRC has a lot of good Christian people, that’s friends of mine, but I can’t see more innocent victims fall for this, that are made to believe the only blessing from God is MONEY.

We are currently at CRC Port Elizabeth , for months I have been getting this weird feeling that something is not quite right.
I however have been suppressing it , please could you give me more information Deon.

Christian Revival Church (CRC), led by Pastor At Boshoff, a WOF / prosperity teacher, boasts a church membership of 53,000 across 7 locations.
He offers the typical WOF message, summed up in what I like to call “designer Christianity” where your thoughts and words determine your tomorrow. God is relegated to nothing more than a genie in a bottle waiting to fulfill your dream destiny when you get the formula right.

He is not very familiar with Scripture… but then… neither are his followers.

2Ti 4:3 – 4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

I have no intention of speaking to a wolf. The doctrine a person believes and preaches is what determines if a person is born again or not. We don’t judge a person by what a person is like, for instance, by his smile, or so called humbleness, or loving heart.

In the bible a Shepherd carried a staff to help give direction to his flock of sheep. The Shepherd also carried a rod which was a weapon designed to beat away any wolves who infiltrated his flock.

You call this hate speech, I call this Biblical.

Let’s see how the disciples, apostles and other great men of God handled false teachers who went around IN PUBLIC leading others astray. The Apostle Paul names a number of false teachers by name in letters (in today’s age, let’s call it the internet or email) that he sent off to churches to warn them in advance of false teachers who were coming their way – that they may know who they are and AVOID THEM:

2 Timothy 1:15 – Phygellus and Hermogenes
2 Timothy 2:17 – Philetus and Hymenaues
2 Timothy 3:8 – Jannes and Jambres
2 Timothy 4:10 – Demas
2 Timothy 4:14 – Alexander (the coppersmith)

And these 8 people above are just the ones mentioned in the bible, there too was Simon Magus the Sorcerer (Acts 8:9–24) and Peter exposed him in public. I can just imagine how many more false teachers there were that the disciples had to warn the church about.

When Jesus Christ Himself rebuked the Pharisees, He didn’t say, “Look guys I have to do this in private first, so let’s go to your esteemed tabernacle chambers and we can all have tea and scones while I hold your hand and lovingly tell you the Gospel Truth, that you are going to reject anyway.” No He called them vipers to their faces, out loud, in public (Matthew 23:33) and John the Baptist did exactly the same, he condemned the Pharisees and Sadducees as a “brood of vipers” (Matthew 3:7) in public.

The bible is clear, MARK THOSE who preach CONTRARY to the Bible:

Romans 16:17 “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”

I’m interested to know, when The Apostle Paul warned the church of a false teachers, would you hold the Apostle Paul up for hate speech?
