Yes you can be a Christian and be demonically afflicted. And there might be a reason you are struggling to get rid of some demons that have attached themselves to you.

You said you are attending a Calvinist church. I have to ask, do you believe you were chosen by God to be saved before the foundation of the world, do you believe in the Calvinst acronym TULIP?

Apart from the fact that it is a very serious offense to make merchandise of people (2 Peter 2:3), the wearing of a crucifix around one’s neck is not biblical.

The Amplified Bible says thus, “And in their greed, they will exploit you with false arguments and twisted doctrine. Their sentence [of condemnation which God has decreed] from a time long ago is not idle [but is still in force], and their destruction and deepening misery is not asleep [but is on its way]. (2 Peter 2:3).

Gold, silver, and ruby studded crosses sell for between R600 to R1500 (South African currency). The cursed wooden cross on which Jesus died (Galatians 3:13) was covered in his blood. It was not intended to be worn as an ornament around the neck, let alone as gold, silver, or ruby-studded ornaments.

Wearing a cross supposedly indicates that one is saved. Some of the wickedest Hollywood celebrities and musicians, among them Madonna, wear crosses. God says that true Christians will be known by their fruit. Relics feature very prominently in the Roman Catholic church. Some Christians believe that the wearing of a cross offers protection from evil, while others, Christian and non-Christian, wear cross necklaces as a fashion accessory.

I was reading about the Nephilim on here. I was following an on line ministry who talk about the Nephilim and refer to the Book of Enoch regularly. Your explanation makes so much sense. I agree why would God our Father produce these entities. After all Jesus did say: “even the very hairs of your head are all numbered” so He knows every one of us.

Let’s begin with faith. Why must we begin here? Well, because the simplicity in Christ demands only one thing of us as He Himself once said, “Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted (change) and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3). He made it so easy for us to believe and receive Him as our Saviour that even a little child can believe in Him and be saved. In fact, as you may have noticed, this is the only requirement for anyone to be allowed in his Kingdom.

Sadly, many people are deceived by false teachers who tell you that you must be baptized with the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues, get slain in the spirit, heal the sick and all the other stuff you mentioned in your post. Why do they resort to all these things? Well, because their conversion, faith and becoming like a little child are absent in their lives. They probably never got saved. It was for this reason that Paul wrote, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 11:3).

People’s minds are corrupted when they are told by false teachers, “Hey dude you must do this and that, and/or the other thing to get saved.” That’s not true because legalism (“do this, do that”) is not a blessing but a curse. (“For as many as are of the works of the law (any kind of legalism) are under the curse: . . .”).

But glory be to God who sent his Son to become a curse on our behalf and died on a cursed tree so that the curse and wrath of God that fell on all mankind due to Adam and Eve’s original sin, could be placed on Him. With his “Eli Eli lama sabachthani?” He took upon Himself the wrath and righteous judgments of God for our sins, as God’s blameless Lamb, and was smitten to death with a single blow of his Father (Isaiah 53:5). He literally uprooted the tree of wisdom and knowledge of good and evil and opened the way to those who believe in Him to the Tree of Life that shall be in his New Jerusalem.

You see, Jesus did everything fully and completely for our salvation on the cross. His cry TETELESTAI (PAID IN FULL) satisfied His Father completely and anyone who tries to add something to his completed work on the cross is playing with fire. Because Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross completely satisfied his Father, He never enters into a business transaction to strike deals, such as running up and down stairs and missing a step to decide whether you are going to follow God or the devil.

Childlike faith is simply to go on your knees (no running or skipping) and admit (as I see you have already done), and receive by faith his free gift of salvation, thanking Him for his salvation. And by the way, this is the time (at your conversion and salvation) when you receive the full baptism of the Holy Spirit. God never gives his Holy Spirit in bits and pieces to those who are born from above. They receive his Holy Spirit in toto. Don’t let ANYBODY tell you that you need a second blessing and need to speak in other tongues. Their so-called second blessing is an outright denial of the first blessing as I have described in the previous sentence.
