In the following short video, Jonathan Cahn denies the eternal Sonship of Jesus Christ and really the deity of Jesus Christ. Cahn deliberately misinterprets that Jesus was the only begotten of the Father as meaning Jesus was given a literal birth in Heaven and therefore His birth to Mary was His second birth. This is worth listening to and I think adding to the Cahn expose page. It’s proof that Cahn is a liar and like all Rabbi’s, must deny the deity of Jesus Christ. .

In reply to Deborah (Discerning the World). Psalm 138:2. I think, when we consider what Jesus said in Matthew 7:22, one can surmise why He exalts his word (truth) above his Name.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Mat 7:21-23)

Jesus also said,

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. (Joh 17:17)

Roman Catholics believe and confess the Name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, but they are not saved. The same can be said about Calvinists. It is not the Name that sets one free but his Word (the Truth). So, many people know his Name, but are void of his Word (his Truth).

How can Jesus put the Word above His Name when He is The Word?

I understand you are getting this from

Psa 138:2 KJV
“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name”

To begin with, we must understand that this is a difficult verse. While the King James Version gives the impression that God somehow exalts His Word above His character, this is not what the Scripture teaches.

The KJV doesn’t give a good translation of this verse.

The NIV (which I never use as it’s a bad translation actually translates this verse correctly)

I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. (Psalm 138:2 NIV)

The idea here is that God’s character and promise, or His Word, is greater than everything. This seems to be a much better way of understanding the text.

Not necessarily related to Jonathan Cahn, but I was having an argument the other day with someone about a bill in Israel that would outlaw Christian missionaries. This person, who is Jewish (although apparently not very religious), said that he didn’t want the Gospel being preached in the Jewish state, and that Christians should be more like John Hagee, the guy who says Jesus is not the Messiah and that Jews don’t need to believe in Him to go to Heaven.
