These debates will never be resolved. The reason is this. The Church was formed by Jesus Christ and His Apostles. This is known in history as the Orthodox Church. Various heresies were combatted by the early Church until the first schism occurred in 1054 when the Church in Rome, (which at the time was still part of the Orthodox Church) because of serious doctrinal differences in theology/dogma such as the fillioque and the supremacy of the Pope, broke away from the Orthodox Church. They are what is known today as the Roman Catholic Church. The second schism occurred in the 1600’s with Martin Luther’s Protestant reformation which split off from the RCC. Thereafter literally thousands of schisms occurred in the Protestant Church to form various sects, denominations, and movements all in varying degrees opposing each other.

What you have today is just these groups arguing with each other.

The Orthodox Church is the original Church of Jesus Christ and the Apostles. It is the only Church that has not changed since it’s inception. The Holy Spirit is not the author of the schismatic churches. They have fallen away from the True Orthodox Church and the uncreated Grace of the Holy Spirit. This is why the demonic deception is rife. The Orthodox Church has very strong teachings to protect its people from deception. It is called Prelest (meaning spiritual delusion).

You mean the Orthodox church full of obvious idolatry like the Roman Catholic branch? You know kissing bones of dead people and ornate icons of gold, silver made by human hands? And also calls down fire in Jerusalem in the sight of men to deceive those who dwell on earth? Though I can’t say you personally kiss bones and icons since I don’t know you personally- doctrinally speaking it is allowed encouraged practice in Orthodoxy. Yeah, sure Orthodoxy is not in any error at all right? Afterall, old Jerusalem has been around even longer than Orthodox church – and where are they today? Still in spiritual bondage in the wilderness with Hagar in unbelief and apostasy. The doctrine of Baalim in that casts stumblingblocks to curse then children of Israel that problem began in the Orthodox churches and later the Roman church split carrying over some of same practices only this is called doctrine of Jezebel. Jesus Christ told five out seven churches in Revelation to for 2,000 yeare. Still the idolatry but even then He still obviously called stillwhat part of flee idolatry don’t you understand? I know the excuse from Orthodoxy “its veneration but not worship which is simply semantics to not call it what is idolatry. This is mostly my biggest issue with Orthodoxy and a bit over emphasis on deification of man. Also I don’t read my Bible that only Greeks Romans and Russians are around God’s throne but every tribe tongue in nation is worshipping before Him. I also read in Isaiah 59-60 that the WEST shall revere Him along with Tarshish (Spain and Britain) which most Christian in the Western world are not Orthodox as that spread for in the East. I also read in Isaiah 4 that all seven churches will cling to the one man Christ and He will clean up the mess anyway. Other than that there is excellent early writings on heresies and I have read a number of them. And then you have those dead churches like Sardis always seeking revival but most not keeping themselves unspotted from this world. But the one of worst church was Ephesus the council that tested everything but forgot to love with correction- instead they became like Pharisees and shut up the door to the kingdom. And that candlestick was long long ago removed…

False teachers do speak the truth you know. Simon Magus the Sorcerer was held in high esteem by the Discicples until they realised what Simon the Sorcerer was all about, then they EXPOSED him and told him to leave their fold. So just because Andrew Strom speaks the truth every now and then does not make him a viable minister to listen to on everything he has to say.

I read the two articles you referred to. They really gave me a good laugh!

I believe Dave Hunt is dead now, but I do have and still receive benefit from some of his books such as “Occult Invasion of the Church” and “Seduction of Christianity’.

Listen, it does no-one any good to play games or to resort to the type of intellectual dishonesty you are attempting. Presenting a straw-man of Orthodoxy and then debunking that version can only fool fools. I think that is the reason why Dave Hunt never attempted to tackle the Eastern Orthodox Church in-depth. He would have found out it is the truth!
