William P. Welty, Chuck Missler and Koinonia House – The Adoration of Mary

Koinonia House (Chuck Missler and William Welty) – An article was just released by William P. Welty from Koinonia House entitled “Maybe It’s Time You Met the World’s Finest Woman” from the May 02, 2016 eNews issue.

William P. Welty  is “a member of the Board of Directors of Koinonia House and has been asked to serve as Scholar in Residence on the faculty of the Koinonia Institute”[1].  In other words he and Chuck Missler are super duper big buddies.  In fact they are so close they even have a satellite network in outer space they built together called SWANSAT that does the United Nation’s bidding. (The United Nations is a Luciferian organisation).

When I received this article in my email from Koinonia House, I thought, “oh, ok, maybe they are just going to tell you the story about Mary as you would do for any biblical character”.  And then I started to read the article and I was shocked to say the least. I got to find that, no, they are not just telling you a historical story about Mary, they are in fact giving her adoration and they want you too as well.  Let me show you what I mean.

Mary: Ten Test Questions for the World’s Finest Woman

by Dr. William Welty

The community of Christian faith worldwide knows her as the finest woman who ever lived. Born in obscurity to a distant descendant of Israel’s magnificent King David, Christians believe Mary, the mother of Jesus of Nazareth, was honored by the Creator of the Universe to be the person through whom God himself would visit his own Creation, reconciling his people to himself.

No matter what you may have thought you knew before about this first century paragon of virtue and faith, there is a good possibility you have been misinformed about her. In fact, chances are you have been wrong from the start about the most remarkable woman who ever walked the dusty roads of first century Israel during the height of the Roman Empire’s domination over the Middle East.

Mary Isn’t Who You Think She Is

[DTW note:  I am sure everyone is getting tired of me saying ‘really?’ so I will say…”Seriously? Who is she then?” Will Koinonia House tell us about this most amazing new discovery?]

More than 20 centuries have come and gone since a teenaged virgin became the mother of God’s incarnate Son. As a result, far too much myth has grown up around the person and story surrounding the woman who became one of the foundational figures of human history. What the New Testament records themselves tell us about the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, is fascinating enough in its own right that we can learn a lot from studying what the New Testament says about her without getting embroiled in two thousand years of extraneous ecclesiastical convention.

In this work, we will try to pull back the dusty curtain of historically inaccurate tradition to introduce you to the very human, but utterly magnificent character of Mary, the mother of the Messiah, as she struggles to pass Ten Test Questions. The questions are presented to her in the passages recorded in the New Testament that mention her. Each of these 10 spiritual challenges provides a fresh new opportunity to refine her faith and trust in God.

As we will see in our study, Mary the mother of Jesus of Nazareth passed nine out of the 10 tests splendidly. She stumbled in her faith only once, but in the end prevailed, obtaining an astonishing 95 percent on her series of spiritual tests of her faith and obedience to God’s plans and purposes for her life.

In our analysis that follows of every passage recorded in the New Testament in which Mary is referred to or mentioned by name, you’ll learn why the mother of the world’s most famous rabbi from Nazareth rose from literal obscurity to become one of the greatest pivotal figures in all of human history, treasured by millions of people throughout the centuries, and fulfilling Mary’s prophecy recorded in Luke 1:48 that “from now on, all generations will call me blessed.”  [DTW note:  the words “call me blessed” means Mary was very happy, totally favoured, in being the mother of the Jesus Christ the Messiah. This certainly does not give us authorization (especially from Koinonia House) to give her any form of adoration, give her fervent and devoted love, worship her or pray to her. Abraham was blessed in being the father of the faithful (Genesis 12:3).  Paul was blessed in being the Apostle to the Gentiles (Acts 9:15). Peter was blessed in being the first to preach the gospel to them and converted upto 5000 people (Acts 2:41; Acts 4:4)  But would you think of giving adoration, devoted loved, worship or prayer to Abraham, Peter or Paul? Never, so why now does William P. Welty, Chuck Missler and everyone at Koinonia House expect it of Mary?]

You will read in our new book a comprehensive analysis of what Mary went through in her walk with God, starting with the day she received the angel Gabriel as her guest and listened to what God had in store for her life.

Here is a listing of all 10 test questions that were put to her over the next three and a half decades or so of her young life, starting from Gabriel’s visit and continuing through her teen years until the day of Pentecost after the death of her promised son. The circumstances of her life as told to us in the narrative of the New Testament Gospels tell us Mary was asked to respond with an answer to the following test challenges:

  • Test #1: Are you willing to trust God with your whole life?
  • Test #2: Are you willing to give God your expectations about your life?
  • Test #3 Are you willing to walk with God into heartbreak?
  • Test #4: Will you give God your illusion of personal security?
  • Test #5: Will you give your most important possessions to God?
  • Test #6: How will you bear the loss of your spouse?
  • Test #7: Will you remember who Jesus really is?
  • Test #8: Will you believe what God has said about the Messiah?
  • Test #9: Will you give your dreams about your child to God?
  • Test #10: Are you willing to wait on God to fulfill his promises for your life?

The overwhelming evidence provided to us by the testimony of the four evangelists Matthew, John Mark, Luke, and John is that she passed all the test questions that were placed before her except for one (we will let you read our book to find out which one it was!). Even in the case of this test, it is clear from the evidence, her lapse was a temporary one.

Given the overall testimony of her life, it comes as no surprise the early Church held her in such high esteem. While the Protestant community of Christian faith disagrees with some of the legends that have grown up over the centuries, resulting in the Protestant community viewing Roman Catholicism of having an overstated view of her place in the plan of God, nevertheless both Roman Catholic and Protestant believers in the Lord Jesus the Messiah may say with one voice that Mary’s magnificent poem of praise to God has been abundantly fulfilled throughout the centuries since generations all over the earth have called her blessed. [DTW Note:  Really? (Ok, I said it again) Roman Catholics and Protestants (believers in the Lord as Koinonia House says) can say with one voice (in unity) that Mary is blessed and therefore can be revered?  I think not Mr Welty. How on earth can you say such a thing.  Roman Catholicism’s  ‘Mary‘ that they worship is none other than an incarnation of the Egyptian goddess Isis or Nimrod’s wife Semiramis.  She is not the Mary of the bible. And even if she was the Mary of the bible, it’s unbiblical to say the least.]

The real life of Mary needs no mythology… it was filled with adventure, danger, heartbreak and hope.

Being at the center of God’s plan to bring salvation to the world [DTW note:  At the center was she?  So Jesus Christ was not at the center of God’s plan to bring salvation to the world, it was Mary? Without her there would have been no salvation according to you – is that why the Roman Catholic church can say that we must unite (or have united with one voice according to Koinonia House) and have put Mary on the level of co-redementrix – she too can forgive you of your sins as much as her son Horus…sorry I meant Christ can.] was a rough road for a young lady to walk, but walk it she did, with dignity and trust in the One True God. She was ostracized by her own who did not understand, hunted by the most brutal mass murderer of the day, slandered and disrespected by neighbors, and saved time and again by the loving protection of God. Walking in the will of God can be a daunting journey, but with God, the outcome is never in doubt. The story of Mary will encourage readers who, like her, may be walking a rough road. [DTW note:  Oh, so Mary is now the one that comforts and encourages one that is walking a long tough road…no, no, it’s not Jesus Christ we need to look too, it’s Mary.  My gosh if I had known this from the start I would have just removed the following scripture out the bible where Jesus Christ says:

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke on you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest to your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Perhaps you have lost a spouse or a child? Are you grieved because you have been rejected by those who should care about you? Does it sometimes seem like the whole world is lined up against you? Then take comfort in the story of Mary. [DTW note:   That’s right Koinonia House house say, take comfort in the story of Mary instead, she will comfort you, not the Holy Spirit that comes to abide in you when you become a born again Christian.  Jesus Christ does not give you peace according to Koinonia House and crew, it’s Mary’s ‘story’.  Again, let’s just tear pages out of the bible shall we.

John 14:26-27
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The Christmas story is precious to the hearts of millions, but how many know the real truth about the Star of Bethlehem? What really happened in Jerusalem that drove Herod to an insane rage to hunt down and kill the Christ child?

And what was it about the quiet demeanor of young Mary that God chose her to be part of the most dramatic rescue mission in human history?

Our new book asks 10 questions that probe the life and attitudes of Mary. They are questions all believers should ask of their own spiritual walk.

How will you do as you apply these 10 questions to your own life? Be prepared! Because honestly delving into Ten Test Questions for the World’s Finest Woman will give you a vigorous spiritual tune up  [DTW note: A vigorous spiritual tune up? If you believe what Mr Welty and Koinonia House are saying then for sure, a door to Satan will be opened, and Satan will for sure give you a vigorous spiritual tune up]

[DTW note: This is what Jesus Christ the Son of God said about his mother Mary when someone called Him aside and told Jesus his mother and brother wanted to speak to Him and Jesus said:

Matthew 12:46-48
46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said to him, Behold, your mother and your brothers stand without, desiring to speak with you.
48 But he answered and said to him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brothers?

Jesus was illustrating his own doctrine, that as tender as the ties which bound him to his mother and brethren (his disciples) were, Jesus said that we ought to forsake our father, mother, friends, houses, etc, to be his followers!  Who is Jesus’ mother in regards to Jesus Christ Himself?  No one.

If you buy this book, William P. Welty and Chuck Missler from Koinonia house are going to try their utter best to convince you that you need to actually pay more attention to Mary ‘the Roman Catholic mother of God’ than to Jesus Christ Himself.  Well done William Welty and Chuck Missler, you have so much blood on your hands right now; from everyone that reads this article, then proceeds to buy your book at Koinonia House and then decides that Mary is the one that should bring comfort to Christians instead of Jesus Christ Himself.  I am really surprised you don’t offer a little Mary idol for free that comes when you purchase this book.  I suppose that will come next… with a rosary for $5.95.]

Judging a Book by its Cover?  By Ron Matsen

Ron Matsen from Koinonia House wrote this article about William Welty’s article:

Sometimes discoveries are made in areas where you least expect them. Such was the case in early April 2016 as we pre-released the cover art for Dr. William Welty’s new book Mary, Ten Test Questions for the World’s Finest Woman.

For the cover we wanted to portray an image of this woman in an uncharacteristic way. Our Koinonia House Art Director, Dean Packwood, created an amazing depiction of Mary, the mother of Jesus. As no one actually knows what Mary looked like, Dean used the facial structure from the Shroud of Turin (which is assumed by some to be an image of Christ)  [DTW note:  Assumed by Catholics you mean? Not genuine believers in Jesus Christ because the Word of God is clear that there is NO image of Jesus and we are not to make an image of Him or assume there is an image of Him. (Exodus 20:4) It’s one of the 10 commandments, Ron] and produced a forensic reconstruction of how she may have appeared. He recorded the development of his creation from a blank canvas to the final product. We then shared that video on our Facebook page and uploaded it to YouTube. Personally I thought he did an amazing job and felt that people would enjoy watching a true work of art being created by a world-class artist.

The problem was this, Ron says:

To my amazement, the tide of comments initially posted by more than 70% of those interacting with our posts was that of vehement disapproval. What is strange about most of the feedback was not their dislike for the artwork but of the content of Dr. Welty’s book. It seemed that most had a derogatory comment to make about a book of which they knew nothing.

[DTW note: Ahh so it appears 70% of people that visit Koinonia House’s facebook page and Koinonia House’s Youtube account actually saw right through the Konionia Den of Wolves.  Unfortunately 30% didn’t and fell right into their trap.

Notice how when people are discerning they are considered ‘slanderous’.  Oh dear, when will that ‘line’ ever run dry.  I don’t think it will, Satan came up with it and it’s here to stay, and might I add I think it’s going to get worse.  To the point where so called Christians will indeed take genuine Christians to court for hate speech because you disagreed with their new biblical worldview.  The religious paradigm shift has taken place and the end has just started.]

arrowUPDATED:  Please see this article on Chuck Missler, William Welty (an occultist), Ron Matsen and Roger Oakland.  Ron Matsen is on Roger Oakland’s board Chairman for Understand the Times.

Roger Oakland said hereMinistry Update 7/14/11 “This report is written from the Oslo Airport in Norway . Our UTT Board Chairman Ron Matsen is with me. We are waiting on a flight to take us to Frankfurt and then London.”

There has been no update on Understand the Times website since to say Ron Matsen has stepped down or been removed.

I do not know if Roger and Ron are still associated with one another, even though Roger knows fully well what Ron Matsen is all about because he has been told countless times for the last several years – If the relationship has changed can someone let me know because I would really love to tell the world that Roger Oakland is truly a man of God that was caught up in a web of liars and he struggled to escape but it took time and he managed in the end to break all ties to the Koinonia Den of wolves.

    Hi Debs!
    Your quote:

A vigorous spiritual tune up? If you believe what Mr Welty and Koinonia House are saying then for sure, a door to Satan will be opened, and Satan will for sure give you a vigorous spiritual tune up]

I believe this, I truly do!! You and I swapped emails when I confessed I had opened a door to satan by getting involved in some goofy energy healing … still, um, “paying for that”!!

And your last quote, >also a goodie:

I am really surprised you don’t offer a little Mary idol for free that comes when you purchase this book. I suppose that will come next… with a rosary for $5.95.]

Wow, a “rosary” ~ see, I married an rc man (who thankfully came to the knowledge of the Truth & forsook the rcc all together) yet his entire extended family remains deluded.

Well this past weekend his mother (my MIL) took time to “explain” to me how (barf:) “Saint” (Christopher, was it?? Saint Somebody! I forgot who!!) anyway, who “helps her find front door parking spaces at Dr. clinics & grocery stores, etc.” ~ so much so, that she now will not drive without this rosary in her car even!! Guys, hit me with a wet noodle if you must, yet I feel no guilt in not correcting or debating with her (she was not open to correction! Rather, she wanted to be the “teacher”) so instead I just changed the subject….

In the past, of course we’ve told her that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that Jesus is the ONLY way to God & to heaven. She only wanted to raise her voice & debate that.

Know I’m rabbit trailing here, but at Christmas one of the 18 month old nephews bent down to scoop up some water from the dog’s bowl to “cross himself” with it!! Oh my, my!! Tender young thing is being taught this way…. I sooo wanted to say, “Honey, ‘holy water’ is about AS holy as this dog water!” ~ but he’s too young & tender to understand. All the catholics there were having a good time laughing about it though.

Back on subject, I’ve met Missler at a conference before and at that time he sure seemed a down to earth guy! Till I started reading up on all the wacko stuff. All the more reason for us to keep our trust IN THE LORD & not in what men teach!! Amen!!

  2. Dear RJ

Thank you for your comment, and you always make me laugh – “Guys, hit me with a wet noodle if you must? ROTFL

Yes the RC indoctrinate the little ones from the day they come out of their mother’s tummy. It’s years and years of non-stop indoctrination, day in and day out. When my brother was young he had a friend who could never find the time to play with his friends because his father was a staunch RC man and made sure his son ate, slept and drank RC dogma. It was very sad to see.

You said, “Saint” (Christopher, was it?? Saint Somebody! I forgot who!!) anyway, who “helps her find front door parking spaces at Dr. clinics & grocery stores, etc.””

Lol this is so true, and people don’t just use a favourite Saint as someone that helps them find parking, but an angel and even worse Jesus Christ finds people parking as well close to the front door of shopping centers.

I’ve been told too how Chuck Missler is just the nicest, down to earth kinda guy you can get and he would never preach false teaching…noo nooo never. I’m going to use the following statement in future, “well you can’t judge a book by it’s cover now can you” 🙂

    love you

  3. Tom Lessing says:

Well now, it is as you said, Debs, they are presenting Mary as the Comforter. Idolatry? You bet! This is what Alexander Hislop says about Semiramis in his book “The Two Babylons.”

Now in her, as the Tabernacle or Temple of God, not only all power, but all grace and goodness were believed to dwell. Every quality of gentleness and mercy was regarded as centred in her; and when death had closed her career, while she was fabled to have been deified and changed into a pigeon, to express the celestial benignity of her nature, she was called by the name of “D’Iune,” or “The Dove,” or without the article, “Juno”–the name of the Roman “queen of heaven,” which has the very same meaning; and under the form of a dove as well as her own, she was worshipped by the Babylonians.

The dove, the chosen symbol of this deified queen, is commonly represented with an olive branch in her mouth, as she herself in her human form also is seen bearing the olive branch in her hand; and from this form of representing her, it is highly probable that she has derived the name by which she is commonly known, for “Z’emir-amit” means “The branchbearer.”

When the goddess was thus represented as the Dove with the olive branch, there can be no doubt that the symbol had partly reference to the story of the flood; but there was much more in the symbol than a mere memorial of that great event. “A branch,” as has been already proved, was he symbol of the deified son, and when the deified mother was represented as a Dove, what could the meaning of this representation be but just to identify her with the Spirit of all grace, that brooded, dove-like, over the deep at the creation; for in the sculptures at Nineveh, as we have seen, the wings and tail of the dove represented the third member of the idolatrous Assyrian trinity. In confirmation of this view, it must be stated that the Assyrian “Juno,” or “The Virgin Venus,” as she was called, was identified with the air. Thus Julius Firmicus says: “The Assyrians and part of the Africans wish the air to have the supremacy of the elements, for they have consecrated this same [element] under the name of Juno, or the Virgin Venus.” Why was air thus identified with Juno, whose symbol was that of the third person of the Assyrian trinity? Why, but because in Chaldee the same word which signifies the air signifies also the “Holy Ghost. (Emphasis added)”

same time adored as the incarnation of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of peace and love. In the temple of Hierapolis in Syria, there was a famous statue of the goddess Juno, to which crowds from all quarters flocked to worship. The image of the goddess was richly habited, on her head was a golden dove, and she was called by a name peculiar to the country, “Semeion.”
(BRYANT) What is the meaning of Semeion? It is evidently “The Habitation”; and the “golden dove” on her head shows plainly who it was that was supposed to dwell in her–even the Spirit of God.

When such transcendent dignity was bestowed on her, when such winning characters were attributed to her, and when, over and above all, her images presented her to the eyes of men as Venus Urania, “the heavenly Venus,” the queen of beauty, who assured her worshippers ofsalvation, while giving loose reins to every unholy passion, and every depraved and sensual appetite–no wonder that everywhere she was enthusiastically adored. Under the name of the “Mother of the gods,” the goddess queen of Babylon became an object of almost universal worship. “The Mother of the gods,” says Clericus, “was worshipped by the Persians, the Syrians, and all the kings of Europe and Asia, with the most profound religious veneration.”

I have one thing to say to Chuck Missler and William Welty: “GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN.” (Emphasis added). If these things don’t make you angry, you are probably not saved.

  4. That is so interesting, thank you Tom, I’ve learnt quite a bit form that.

  5. Catcher in the Rye says:

Ive heard it from unconfirmed sources that this book has been sent to the Vatican for the pope to read.

  6. Wow, that says it all. We would like to know from whence you got your info. Is it possible for you to find out? We will appreciate that. Thanks for your comment.

  7. John hus says:

To respect Mary and to call her mother of God and believe her and Joseph lived like brother and sister is okay
Even to recite Hail Mary full of grace the lord is with you bless are you among women and bless is the fruit of thy womb
Jesus is okay but praying to Mary and making her co mediatrix with god no praying the rosary no that is unbiblicical
As a liturgical and confessional Lutheran I respect and honor the mother of god because of her role of saying yes to god
And allowing a teen girl give birth to the salvation of the world Jesus I find no problem with the church art showing Mary with the infant
Jesus in her arms it is when you bow to these images and give worship I prefer icons unlike statues they can not be make idols as easy being two dimensional

  8. Jackie says:

These associations make me sad and angry. When I heard that the Misslers had moved to NZ because they were being called there for ministry, I almost fell out of my chair laughing! I found it difficult to believe that God would call ministers to a comfortable, westernized country rather than plague and famine ridden areas of the world. It’s the mission of the church to reach the lost and the poor. Having a retreat in NZ didn’t strike me as a spiritual mission field.

I purchased thousand of dollars worth of Koinonia House products over the years and took their Bronze Medallion course. Now I wonder if the income from their “school” and product line was used just to move out of harm’s way. It wouldn’t bother me as much if it was an unsaved couple but these people were high profile christians and should have run the course with the rest of us.
Hey Chuck: You didn’t see Paul ditch his people and run for the hills or to a more comfortable location when the going got tough.

I’m tired of having money stolen from me (and others) for false pretenses under the guise of spiritual edification. Bye/

From now on, I stay strictly with the Bible and trust the Holy Spirit to lead me in the ways of truth. :read:
