Afrikaner: Who is Behind The Violence and Mayhem in South Africa? (Part 3)

Afrikaner: Who-is-Behind-Mayhem-and-in-SA
Afrikaner Church or Freemason Temple?

Riekert Botha repeatedly whacks the Reformed Church as the main villain of virulent religious infestations, and the one and only definer of “holiness” and being “an Afrikaner in South Africa.”

Surely, he must know that “The Lower Dutch Reformed Church (in the old spelling Lower Dutch Reformed Church or often also Reformed Church at that time) is the reformed church that originated in the city of Emden (East Friesland), in 1571.

In 1579 she became the public church of the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands. In 1795 under French rule, she stopped being the official public church, and in 1816 she was given a new regulation and the name Dutch Reformed Church by King William I.” (Source).

According to SAHU (South African History Online) “When the Dutch settled in South Africa in the 16th and 17th centuries they transplanted their Dutch Reformed theology to the African continent. Jan van Riebeeck formally established the Dutch Reformed Church (DRC) of South Africa in 1652.

Presently, it also has a presence in neighboring countries, such as Namibia, Swaziland, and parts of Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. Therefore, it can hardly be called an inherently Afrikaner Church. The same argument goes for the other two of the three reformed sister churches, the Nederduits Hervormde Kerk and the Gereformeerde Kerk.

Sho-far, not so Good. Afrikaner Shofar-ism and its Kabbalistic/Freemason Cornerstone?
  • Gielie-Jordaan-2
  • Riekert-Botha-1
  • Stephan Joubert giving cup of cold water

Why would Gielie Jordaan, whose church is named after a typical Jewish custom (the Shofar Church, Potchefstroom) of blowing the Shofar (ram’s horn), ignore 33 mentions of a literal nation of Israel in God’s Word, and then abruptly change his own rule of applied consistency by claiming that the 144,000 from every tribe in Revelation 7 are not the literal Jewish nation but a symbol of spiritual Israel, the church? The reason, I may say, is that Gielie Jordaan, Riekert Botha, and Stephan Joubert have no respect or regard for God’s immutable promises He made to Israel as an identifiable ethnic group of people, a nation – His people.

Riekert Botha’s anti-Semitism surreptitiously filters through his YouTube video (here) when he says that Israel believed that she was God’s special chosen people whilst He plainly told them in the book of Isaiah that He had become sick and tired of their offerings and religious festivals.

Indeed, God was nauseated by their hypocritical religiosity but that never altered his promises to the nation of Israel which He gave to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Jeremiah 31: 35-36). Similarly, Botha says, the Afrikaner nation wrongly assumed that it was God’s people, presumably through the preaching of the Boer preacher, Sarel Cilliers.

We know that Sarel Cilliers was not a Freemason, but that Piet Retief and Gerhard Moerdyk (the designer of the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria) were both Freemasons Yet Sarel Cilliers wielded great authority among the Voortrekker leaders.

Johan Gouws writes in his book about the Voortrekker Monument.

The designer of the Voortrekker Monument, Dr. Gerhard Moerdyk, was, like Piet Retief, a Freemason of a lower degree.

The influence of Freemasonry explains the great number of symbolisms that are interwoven and bricked into the Voortrekker Monument, plainly in sight of the Afrikaner and its leaders.

Source: Nerija, pp 777-778

Amillennialism, of which Riekert Botha, Stephan Joubert, and Gielie Jordaan are avid promoters, consistently interpret the book of Revelation in terms of symbolism. Hence, their interpretation is that the 144,000 sealed members of the 12 tribes of Israel in Revelation 7 are a symbol of the believing and faithful universal church who allegedly replaced Israel as God’s people.

It makes you wonder whether they have deliberately or unintentionally done so to incorporate the Freemason’s designs to accentuate their aptitude for symbols.

The Vita Dei emblem, seen here below, seems to be doing precisely that. Biblical symbolism in its right place represents something (an event) or someone to enhance and simplify its/his literalness.

Whenever literalness (as in the instance of the 144,000 in Revelation 7) is interpreted symbolically instead of literally it forcefully disrupts and destroys biblical eschatology, and evidently indicts those who do this with the crime described in Revelation 22: 18-19.

18 I [personally solemnly] warn everyone who listens to the statements of the prophecy [the predictions and the consolations and admonitions pertaining to them] in this book: If anyone shall add anything to them, God will add and lay upon him the plagues (the afflictions and the calamities) that are recorded and described in this book.
19 And if anyone cancels or takes away from the statements of the book of this prophecy [these predictions relating to Christ’s kingdom and its speedy triumph, together with the consolations and admonitions or warnings pertaining to them], God will cancel and take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the city of holiness (purity and hallowedness), which are described and promised in this book. Vita-Dei-emblem - Vrymesselary

I wrote an article for Discerning the World, a blog exposing false teachings in modern-day churches, to investigate the Masonic symbol of the seed Riekert Botha uses in all of his YouTube videos.

The Masonic symbolism in the Voortrekker Monument also explains why Sarel Cilliers, the father of the oath In the war against the Zulus at Blood River, was a Dominionist who preached Kingdom-Now theology, which is merely an extension of Augustine’s “City of God,” a major contribution to the Amillennialism he systematized and eventually found a stern foothold in the reformed (Calvinistic) churches.

Riekert Botha ought to be more careful in his castigation of the so-called Afrikaner Church whilst he himself still bears the tick-bite traces of its Amillennial doctrine. Botha believes that believers have already occupied the City of God (Hebrews 22: 22a) and are in the household of God.

He uses both these concepts to prove that nothing more happens after the Second Coming of Christ and that the allusion to the Rapture in John 14 is a myth because the word “Father’s house” refers to a household, a family, a spiritual kinship, and not a specific place or abode. Indeed, the word “oikia” also carries the meaning of a household. However, the words mansions (monē) and “a place” (topos) refer to a specific dwelling and not merely a household.

Moreover, when Paul was raptured (harpazō) to the third heaven, it was not merely to a household of people living under the same roof, but into “Paradise” as 2 Corinthians 12:4 distinctly indicates. The word “paradeisos” describes a place of future happiness, peace, tranquility, and an eternal state completely devoid of sickness and death.

Gouws continues:

The deception took place so easily because of the spiritual divisions among the Afrikaner and the spirit of emerging Afrikaner Nationalism. The Monument was completed in 1949 and was officially inaugurated on the Day of the Vow, 16th December 1949.

[On 16 December 1995, for the first time, South Africa celebrated a Day of Reconciliation whereby both the Afrikaner and liberation struggle traditions were acknowledged symbolically to be part of a democratic and equal society. The date, 16 December, is significant because of two events that took place in South Africa’s very turbulent past.]

On this occasion [the official inauguration of the Voortrekker Monument on 16th December 1949] Dr. D.F. Malan declared: “The hour has come. The sunbeam from heaven now falls on the Cenotaph. It illumines that dedication vow that now and for all eternity should be inscribed very deeply and permanently on the heart of every Afrikaner: ‘We for thee South Africa.”

(Source: The Voortrekker Monument, Pretoria, Official Guide, 7th print, 1972:74).

A sunbeam from heaven? Symbolism in honor of the sun god?

The entire building’s inner structure is in the form of a dome. “Above the Hall of Heroes is a dome, with the big round opening in the middle, and on top of it is a second dome which is big enough to cover the whole Monument. The uppermost dome represents the extent of the great deed. If its lines were to be drawn across, it would encompass the Monument in one great circle. It represents the earth with South Africa at the very top.”

Albert Pike, one of the highest-ranking Freemasons in its history, unequivocally states in his monumental Masonic book, “Morals and Dogma,”

“… Masonry is identical with the Ancient Mysteries …” (On Page 624, 28th Degree).

“… we reproduce the speculations of the Philosophers, the Kabbalists, the Mystagogues, and the Gnostics.” (page 329). In other words, whatever the Ancients believed, Freemasonry embraces too. It can be no other way, if Freemasonry is going to be one of the major forces which unites all religions into one global religion, just as the Scripture foretells.”

Here is a summary of what Albert Pike says in his book “Morals and Dogma” about Masonic worship.

  • “The Sun, Archimagus, worshipped as Mithras, the Mediator, the Invincible.” P.612
  • “The Sun and Moon of the Alchemists give stability to the Philosophical Stone ..” P.776.
  • “Sun and Moon considered the cause of the generations of the earth …” P.475
  • “Sun and Moon are the emblems of the two Divine sexes …” P. 305
  • “The Sun, called Heliogabalus, and adored under the form of a black stone.” P. 775
  • “The Sun God finally victorious over the Serpent.” P. 496
  • “The Sun God rides on the winged horse, but the Serpent bites the horse’s heels.” P.499
  • “… traces of the worship of the Sun yet linger in all religions.” P. 483. {Remember, Freemasonry claims to be “identical” with all the ancient religions, P.624}
  • “You have … heard much of the ancient worship of the Sun, the Moon, and other bright luminaries of Heaven, and of the Elements and Powers of Universal Nature.” P. 583
  • “Faith … was represented by the Sun.” P.727
  • “The Sun was figuratively said to die and be born again at the Winter Solstice;” P.464

Whoever denies that Luciferianism lies at the heart of Freemasonry is deluded.

General Albert Pike, Grand Commander, sovereign pontiff of universal freemasonry, giving instructions to the 23 supreme councils of the world. wrote,

“That which we must say to the crowd is, we worship a god, but it is the god one adores without superstition. To you sovereign grand inspector general, we say this and you may repeat it to the brethren of the 32nd, 31st and 30th degrees – the Masonic religion should be by all of us initiates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the luciferian doctrine.

If lucifer were not god, would Adonay (the God of the Christians) whose deeds prove cruelty, perfidy and hatred of man, barbarism and repulsion for science, would Adonay and His priests, calumniate Him?

Yes, Lucifer is god, and unfortunately, Adonai is also God, for the eternal law is that there is no light without shade, no beauty without ugliness, no white without black, for the absolute can only exist as two gods. darkness being necessary for light to serve as its foil, as the pedestal is necessary to the statue, and the brake to the locomotive.

Thus, the doctrine of Satanism is heresy, and the true and pure philosophical religion is the belief in lucifer, the equal of Adonay, but lucifer, god of light and god of good, is struggling for humanity against Adonay, the god of darkness and evil”

(Source: Recorded by A.C. De La Rive, La Femme et L’enfant dans La Franc- Maconnerie Universelle, Page 588. Cited from ‘The question of freemasonry, ( 2nd edition 1986 by Edward Decker pp12-14).

This is the foundational cornerstone on which Afrikaner Nationalism was built in South Africa – Luciferianism (Satanism). Yes, the Voortrekker leaders gave a strong religious semblance to it when they made a vow to God and promised to build a teensy-weensy little church for Him in Pietermaritzburg in 1841, despite the plain statement that “the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?” (1 Kings 8: 27).

One hundred and eight years later, on 16th December 1949, the Afrikaner people built a colossal monstrosity of an edifice, a temple, a sanctuary to Baphomet, the god of the Freemasons also known as “G.A.O.T.U.” – “The great (or grand) architect of the universe.

Surely, if they had been true believers, a vow would never even have crossed their minds because genuine believers know that Jesus Christ promised He alone would build his church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16: 18). Besides, Jesus Christ commanded, “It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.” (It was the Holy Ghost who inspired King Solomon to say so in Ecclesiastes 5: 5).

However, Jesus did say something similar in Matthew, “Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.’ But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.”

So, the Voortrekker volk who believed they were the new Israel heard it from both the old and new testaments. How could they not have known it was wrong to make a vow and not keep it?

The church of the vow in Pietermaritzburg never prevailed and, therefore, could not have been inspired by Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit. During the period 1873 to 1910, the building was utilized as a smith’s workshop, mineral water factory, pharmacy, and a tearoom. The Church of the Vow became a museum on 16th December 1912 and was handed over to the Union Government for safekeeping. In 1938 it was declared a National Monument.

A little church, a national monument? You must be kidding. A vow morphed into a national monument, and particularly a monument of Afrikaner nationalism?  How does it fit in with Christ’s command to abstain from vows or oaths?

The answer to this is quite simple. It was predominantly by virtue of their masonic religious grounding that they felt compelled to architecturally create a space where God could take up residence, so to speak. And the result was that they failed to keep their vow. The church they built became something else to what they promised God – a Museum in honor of Afrikaner Nationalism.

God in Granite? – A God of Stone? – An Idol?

Prof. Johan Cilliers, a great-great-grandchild of Sarel Cilliers who led the Voortrekkers in their vow, wrote as follows in a paper (GOD IN GRANITE? AESTHETICAL-THEOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVES ON THE MONUMENTALIZATION OF RELIGION) which he delivered at the annual conference of the Society for Practical Theology in South Africa, on 21-23 January 2015 in Bloemfontein, on the theme: The Power of Religion and Religions of Power. (University of the Free State) –

The erecting of sites of remembrance and/or spaces for ritual and religious reflection has been part and parcel of humanity since the dawn of time. .  . With Otto Bollnow, it could be postulated that “The religious primeval experience . . . consists in the experience that a special area develops within the great limitless space, a sacred space which is distinguished by the effectiveness of the numinous.” In the Bible, we find similar examples of sites of remembrance and religious encounters, for instance when Jacob uses the stone that served as his pillow during the night to build a miniature “rock monument” after his encounter with God in a dream.

Monuments more than often have a spiritual character and iconic value, in the sense that it offers a space for the formation or discovery of meaning. Someone like Peter Berger has argued extensively that religion represents, among other things, the longing for meaning, and that one of the ways in which this longing is fulfilled is through the creation of structures that act as signs of, and for, transcendence. These signs, or signals of transcendence should, however, never be seen as evidence of the transcendence – an interpretation of this nature always remains a discernment through faith.

It is obvious that architecture, understood in this sense as the aesthetic structuring of spaces that act as conduits for meaning and signals of transcendence, becomes of fundamental importance. In his classic work Einleitung in die monumentale Theologie, already published in 1867, the German scholar Ferdinand Piper coined the term “monumental theology” to describe the link between Gothic architecture and theology and to claim more broadly that artistic expressions, inclusive of architecture, are just as important sources for the study of theology as the Biblical and other confessional texts.

According to Piper monuments are therefore witnesses in a material sense, whose existence and particular form act as signs of and for an ideal world – a world from which we come and to which we return. As such, monuments are realities through which the histories of religious self-understandings and worldviews become apparent. (Emphasis added)

image-9

The prevalent worldview, which is rapidly in the ascendance in all churches, is the New World Order (aka the false Kingdom of God). And the predominant, and most conspicuous sign or witness of its ever-increasing serpentine grip on the world, are its grandiose and magnificent edifices in socio-economic architectures, the arts, and monuments.

It is interesting to note that Hitler’s rise to power in Nazi Germany was boosted by his adoration for Greek and Roman art forms. Their response stemmed partly from conservative aesthetics and partly from their determination to use culture as propaganda (Wikipedia).

The arts also play a predominant role in Mysticism and contemplative spirituality. The Mosaïek Church of Johan Geyser in Fairlands, Randburg, extensively uses background images of sacred buildings, religious paintings, and icons to stimulate their audiences’ imagination which is a form of emotional and adorational hypnotic control.

The senses, especially the eyes, can have a far greater impact on man’s soul than simple faith. Eve experienced this when she “saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it” (Genesis 3:6).

Apart from the single reference to Freemasonry in a footnote, (“Alta Steenkamp, A shared spatial symbolism: the Voortrekker Monument, the Völkerslachtdenkmal and Freemasonry, SAJAH, ISSN 0258-3542, volume 24, number 1, 2009: 150), Prof. Johan Cilliers seems to avoid any further reference to Freemasonry in his paper. Although he submits the first part of his title as a question “GOD IN GRANITE?” it should send shivers down your spine because it reeks of pantheism.

Moreover, his use of terminology such as” structures that act as signs [symbols] of, and for, transcendence” is indicative of the Freemasons’ aptitude for architectural design loaded with hidden and transcendent symbolic meaning.

Perhaps this was the whole purpose of the vow, to build a structure (church) representing their “monumental Theology” as Ferdinand Piper coined it, instead of honouring the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Or did they believe they were honouring Him by assuming that He dealt with them in the same way He did with Israel and, therefore gave his stamp of approval on the correlation between Israel and the Afrikaner Boer volk as his chosen people?

Some of the other significant signs pointing to Freemasonry in Prof. Johan Cillier’s paper are the terms “space” and “stone” (granite). God rebuked ancient Israel for her presumptuous and foul-smelling religiosity (Isaiah 1:11-17) whilst they were wallowing in the mire of idolatry and thinking that their temple was the sign that God was in their midst, and protecting them from their enemies.

Sacred Space and Stone

Freemasonry’s affinity for “space” and “stone” (granite) to symbolically and religiously mirror its philosophies are the reasons why the Voortrekkers pledged to build a church in honour of God and why they associated their ordeals so intimately with Israel.

In his dissertation THE GREAT TREK AS EXODUS IN J.D. KESTELL’S AND N. HOFMEYR’S DE VOORTREKKERS OF HET DAGBOEK VAN IZAK VAN DER MERWE” E. Hale writes,

Both before and after the end of the nineteenth century the Great Trek of the 1830s and 1840s was a recurrent theme in historical fiction. Not only in many of the novels written in Dutch and Afrikaans, but also in some which appeared in English, the bravery of the Voortrekkers was a pivotal theme.

Often merged with this heroic motif was an identification of the Voortrekkers with the Israelites of the Old Testament. This thematic dualism reached its zenith in De Voortrekkers of Het Dagboek van Izak van der Merwe, whose authors, John Daniel Kestell en Nico Hofmeyr, both of whom were Dutch Reformed ministers, constructed the Great Trek as a post-figurative Exodus.

According to Hale “these two Afrikaner nationalists imbued their reconstruction of the Great Trek with an explicit if inconsistent theological dimension by embedding in their text a surfeit of Biblical allusions, primarily to the Exodus event but also, to a much lesser degree, other episodes in the saga of the ancient Hebrew people Israel and, briefly, even the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.” (Emphasis added).

Strangely, and yet not so uncommon, Freemasons also make much ado about their alleged connection to the nation of Israel, especially with regard to Solomon’s temple.  Master Mason, Jason E. Marshall in his Internet article, “Sacred Space in Freemasonry” (November 13th, 2015) which first appeared in the “Living Stones” magazine (May 2015), wrote as follows:

“We are taught as an Entered Apprentice that a Masonic Lodge is a symbolic copy of King Solomon’s Temple, and as a Brother progresses through the Blue Lodge degrees, he gains access to increasingly sacred parts of the temple. In the Master Mason Degree, we are also taught that a Tyled Lodge of Master Masons meets in the unfinished space, where once completed the divine presence of G*d would reside on the “mercy seat” atop the Ark of the Covenant. This Holy of Holies was so sacred to Jews, that only the High Priest was allowed to enter, and he could only enter on the holiday of Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement).

We should take note of the fact that the authors of our Masonic ritual chose to symbolically hold a meeting of a Lodge in the most sacred place imaginable to Jews, where only the holiest of men could enter, and only on a special occasion. This wasn’t chosen by accident, or as a mere addition to a storyline or a narrative. A Masonic Lodge meets in the unfinished holy of holies because a Tyled Lodge is a sacred space, and it should be reverentially treated as such during every meeting and every degree.  General levity, tomfoolery, or any unseemly or off-colored conduct perverts the purpose and sanctity of a Tyled Lodge. The time spent in a lodge is not supposed to be ordinary time; instead, it is meant to be sacred time that is set apart from the profane and material world. Also, the men who enter the sacred space of a Lodge are not supposed to be ordinary men, rather they are initiates that have been set apart from the profane.”

Masonry accepts a particular form of pantheism, “Panentheism”, where “all is god, and god is all”, a pantheistic conception of deity which has passed from India through the secret doctrines of the Kabbalah into Freemasonry and the actual New Age Movement. The so called “Grand Architect of the Universe” (G.A.O.T.U.), after the 3rd degree is not “a person”… “it” is “nature”, a “force”, “energy”… a “stone”, a “star”, “you”, “I”… it is “it”, not “he”… a most cunning way to deceive the first 3 Degrees, most of the Masons! … And this is why Masonry claims that God is in every Mason… but it is in the same sense that God is in any dog or any stone… (Emphasis addsed) (Source)

Afrikaner Voortrekker’s Great Trek as a post-figurative Exodus.

Riekert Botha briefly mentions the Afrikaner Voortrekker’s Great Trek as a post-figurative Exodus out of their own Egypt (the British colonial taskmasters in the Cape) to their promised land in Natalia with Pietermaritzburg as its capital. However, he compares them to Israel for all the wrong reasons, and that is to prove that God will cast aside the Afrikaner nation, as He had done with Israel more than two thousand years ago if she refuses to repent in the same way the nation of Israel rebelled against God and refused to repent.

His argument revolves around his view that God has never been interested in ethnicity and cultural diversity, as expressed in the nation of Israel as separate from all the other nations. Consequently, He formed a new Israel nation consisting of all believing individuals from all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues. Hence, his, Stephan Joubert’s and Gielie Jordaan’s view that Revelation 7: 1-8 does not refer to the literal twelve tribes of Israel but the new nation of Israel (those who are on God’s side, as Botha puts it).

There never has been an entire Gentile nation in the past who had turned to God in repentance and faith, and there never will be. This alone makes the call for the Afrikaner to repent as a nation sound hollow and unfounded. We shall see in part 5 of this series who really needs to repent.

You may recall how He severely rebuked them for their false reassurance in Jeremiah 7. They believed God would protect them because He was the chief tenant of their majestic stone-made edifice in Jerusalem. Little did they know that thousands of years later Jesus Christ’s closest disciples would cradle the same sentiment when they proudly and fondly pointed Him to Herod’s temple, and He ominously told them,

“See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” (Matthew 24:2).

In 70AD his prophecy was fulfilled to the letter when Titus, the then future Emperor of Rome, ravished Jerusalem and destroyed the Jewish temple, and the Jews were dispersed throughout the world, just as God had foretold.

From what we’ve seen from the above, it is clear why Riekert Botha’s referral to the Jews’ divinely institutionalized religious practices in their temple as a place (or space) where the rot of their idolatry festered the deepest, is so typical of the Afrikaner’s national and politically (Broederbond) mandated religion.

However, Botha’s periodic mention of “the Afrikaner Church” is historically not correct. There never has been an Afrikaner Church, at least not until the Afrikaans Protestant Church was established in 1982 when the World Alliance of Reformed Churches General Council declared apartheid to be a sin and its theological justification a heresy.

Ironically, they have remained intimately tied to the Dutch Reformed Church and the Reformed Church through their mutual affinity for Calvin’s mild and Luther’s more robust anti-Semitism. Although Calvin disagreed with Luther’s overt hatred of the Jews, he clung to the Romish belief that the church has supplanted the Jewish nation.

Israel as an identifiable ethnic nation is still greatly dispersed throughout the world but God will restore her fully when God’s time to fulfill his promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is at hand.

Therefore, thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them anymore there. Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 39:25-29)
Conclusion

Please note God’s emphatic “and have left none of them any more there.” Not a single Jew will be left in the gentile countries to which God had dispersed them in the wake of the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem in 70AD. “To be wrong about Israel is, therefore, to be wrong on almost everything in the Bible,” including the doctrine of salvation” (The Berean Call).
