Kim Clement Admits he is a False Prophet

Kim Clement admits to false prophecyRecently a ‘prophet’ was exposed by DTW as being false – Ivin from 220Generation prophecied on the 20th Jan 2009 saying that God spoke to him through a thunderstorm.  God told Ivin that 5 atrocities have occurred or will occur within the next couple of months and be shown on the news, and will shock South Africa half to death and bring the fear of the Lord back to the people of this country.  These things have not come to pass by a long shot.  http://www.discerningtheworld.com/2010/07/23/the-fires-of-hell-burn-bright-for-220genergation.

Kim Clement is sitting in the same situation…

Kim Clement

It’s the same old song and tap-dance

Scenario: A man claims to be a prophet of God. After being caught in multiple false prophecies, he becomes offended, defensive, and all teary-eye when he receives “negative” feedback from Christians who apply the Biblical tests and expose him as a false prophet.

With a wink and a nod, the false prophet makes excuses, seeks sympathy from his followers, and goes to great lengths to twist Scripture to maintain his self-appointed position and following. He feeds his deep-seated pride and arrogance by rewriting and reinterpreting God’s written word. He leads his followers to a false god. His desire is to be the final authority-without question-despite what God’s word says.

It needs to be restated over and over again: Throughout the Bible, God has ZERO TOLERANCE for false prophets. There is no fellowship between God and false prophets (Deuteronomy chapter 13; Deuteronomy 18:20-22; Jeremiah 14:14; Jeremiah 23:31-32; Ezekiel 13:9; Matthew 7:21-23; 2 Peter 2:1).

False prophets are NOT members of the body of Christ, nor are they brothers and sisters in Christ. Every false prophet will have his or her day of reckoning with God at God’s appointed time (Matthew 7:21-23; Revelation 20:11-15).

Just as one cannot be a thief and a law abiding citizen at the same time, one cannot be a false and true prophet at the same time.

Singing and dancing

Known as the “singing prophet,” Kim Clement is a self-proclaimed prophet of God who sings “new revelations” from God and tap-dances his way around false prophecies at the drop of a hat.

In the following paragraphs from an article titled, “Special Message,” note that Kim Clement’s admission to being a false prophet carries with it a subtle warning to his followers, as well as those who would dare speak a word against him:

I want you to have a good time and I want you to know something, that I am genuinely in love with God. I don’t have to tell you that, but I want you to know that I do. And there will also be critics that will be watching now because you don’t understand prophecy, and I understand that. Half the time I don’t even understand myself.

The Bible says we prophesy in part and when I prophesy, I prophesy what I hear. “Kim, are you ever wrong?” Yes I am.  So, if you’re out there to trick me or trip me up, you are wasting your time because I go to God three times a day and I pray. And if I’ve done something that may have misrepresented him I ask him to forgive me. If you don’t fully understand the prophecies it’s best that you don’t get up and try to pull me to pieces making out that I’m a false prophet. There’s a big difference between a false prophet and a true prophet. Now some of you and a lot of you wrote to me and you blessed me, and I thank you for that, but some of your wrote in with concerns that I said some things on this last broadcast where I prophesied from God which I will not apologize about, but I used some language. Amazing. Simply amazing. When a false prophet looks his audience in the eye and admits he is a false prophet, the long and winding deceptive train has arrived, belching its poisonous steam down the throats of the innocent.

Decision time

Kim Clement is a prophet of God only because he says he is. He sings an incredibly deceptive siren’s song which, like the Sirens in Greek mythology, he woos and sings to his followers, and becons them to crash their spiritual boats onto the rocky shore of destruction and death.

Kim Clement avoids the Biblical warnings on false prophets in favor of “new revelations from God” and what he claims to hear. But God’s written word judged Clement a false prophet the moment he uttered his first false prophecy. He downplays the very God he claims to worship, and tap-dances around God’s holy and inspired word to his own destruction.

Kim Clement is a false prophet. He is to be avoided at all costs.

And how can Christians recognise a false prophet?

Jesus warned us that “false Christs and false prophets” will come and will attempt to deceive even God’s elect (Matthew 24:23-27; see also 2 Peter 3:3 and Jude 17-18). The best way to guard yourself against falsehood and false teachers is to know the truth. To spot a counterfeit, study the real thing. Any believer who “correctly handles the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15) and who makes a careful study of the Bible can identify false doctrine. For example, a believer who has read the activities of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in Matthew 3:16-17 will immediately question any doctrine that denies the Trinity. Therefore, step one is to study the Bible and judge all teaching by what the Scripture says. [ http://www.gotquestions.org/false-teachers.html ]

  1. Dear April Prichard

No everything he says does not happen.

  2. April Prichard. I just love your use of the words “seems to happen.” Yep, its seems to have happened but it never happened.

Man Says: “There shall be appearances, great, great appearances. There shall be appearances as you have never seen. Why would My people not believe that I can come and appear in the most remote places on the earth?” (KIM CLEMENT: “There will be PROPHETS in Science, Business, Households, the Music Industry and the Media”, The ElijahList, 11/28/07)

    God Says: Matthew:24:24-27
: “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Kim Clement (a self proclaimed prophet), prophesying on the TBN “Praise the Lord” broadcast: “Now the Lord is speaking about the next one, Bin Laden, who’s about to be captured. And so I’m looking forward to Easter. I’m going on television right now and saying this is what I have prophesied. And I believe if you pray and believe with me, this will happen, because that swine needs to come out of his hole as well.” [Praise the Lord, January 12, 2004]

April 14, 2004, Kim Clement’s website: “…..Regarding Osama, we are not sure exactly when this will happen because it is not clearly defined. However, there seems to be is a suggestion that Easter would have been the beginning of celebrations. There are several events that have occurred (up to and through) the Easter weekend. I feel strongly that the “celebration” is regarding the “resurrection of the dead” (as I prophesied) and also possibly the “bringing out” of our greatest enemy!!!….Many of you may be wondering, “was this past Easter really one of the greatest Easters this Nation has ever celebrated?” My feeling is that Easter was the time where “things will be revealed” and the “greatest enemy” will be “brought out.” Over that sacred time (Easter), something was exposed which will be the end of his hiding. For a time I too felt that over Easter we would see the capture of Bin Laden, however, when I read the prophetic word that I had given, I understood that it meant “revealing his whereabouts,” and this would bring him out. This could be the beginning of the 35-day period.”

“When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him” (Deuteronomy:18:22).

  3. Mitt says:

This is absurd. he never admitted this. You will have to answer for every word spoken by you. Look at how what God told him is NOW coming to pass. Shame on you. How evil. What he said was God corrected him on his past understanding of Revelation and the rapture. What is the problem with that? There was no prophesy involved, and he prophesied until the moment he died. so you have lied. Who is the one we should avoid?

  4. Kim Clement said on Trinity Broadcast Network, “You can be a wrong prophet and not be a false prophet.” Why would he have said something so stupid when the Word of God never once says it? Because he had a growing list of failed prophecies and with an acute awareness of his failures to meet the biblical criteria, he made this stupid and unscriptural statement. Imagine God having said to Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, John, who wrote the book Revelation, or any of the other biblical prophets, “You can be a wrong prophet and not be a false prophet.” WRONG = WRONG = FALSE = LIES = OF SATAN (John 8:44). Your semantic arithmetics are absolutely WRONG. WRONG never equals a true prophet of God and never will.

What Clement said in effect is, “GOD MAKES MISTAKES” and, therefore, is a liar, This is blasphemy of the worst kind.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isa 5:20).

You are treading on dangerous ground, just as Kim Clement had done.

You should stop worshipping Kim Clement and start worshipping and obeying God who said,

”When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid [stand in awe] of him” (Deuteronomy:18:22).

  5. Brandon says:

Is he a false prophet because he was wrong or because he blatantly uses the name and word of God to decieve us for profit or fame. Is he not a man that falls short of the glory of God and who is not infallible. The real question is, does he have a relationship with God, does God know his works and his intent? The only other question is, what is your intent? Identifying false prohets because their prophecies seek to corrupt the hearts of men and turn them away from God? Your judgment is misplaced and your expectation of others is higher than God’s expectations of us.

  6. Brandon wrote: “The real question is, does he have a relationship with God, does God know his works and his intent?”

Let us take your statement and apply it to Scripture. Here’s an example.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (Isa 9:6-7).

Let us assume this was merely the prophet Isaiah’s intent but it never happened or never came to pass, that is, a child was never born, and a son never given to us. Nonetheless, it would not have disparaged, ridiculed, mocked or derided Almighty God’s holy Name and character, for the simple reason that He knew Isaiah’s works and his heart’s intent.

You ask, “What is our intent?” Indeed, you are correct. Our intent is to obey God and expose false prophets because they are deceiving millions of people. And speaking of God’s expectations. Here are his expectations.

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Cor. 2:15-16).

Those who have the mind of Christ will never, NEVER tolerate false prophets and their false prophecies. Why do you?

  7. Dear Brandon

Do you believe that if a person come to you and says the following that “you don’t have to be born again”, would you call this person a Christian? Do you believe that the message they preached was biblical if they believed that no where in the bible does it say you need to be born again?

  8. Brandon

I see you have vanished, just incase you come back – Kim Clement said multiple times that no where in the bible does it say you have to be born again. Please read this article slowly and completely: https://www.discerningtheworld.com/2012/06/29/kim-clement-wolf-sheeps-clothing/

  9. Dee says:

I have read several of his articles. Several were hard to articulate just as when you read the Bible you have to STUDY the time and era of the reading.
I refrain from being harsh as to his being a Prophet due to facts that we may not understand timing and God’s will .As HUMANS, I have sat before many ministers with great Theology degrees who have spoken incorrectly as to true meaning of verses and times in the Bible. Its not my place to be judgmental of Kim Clement. That’s God’s job. Who is to say his prophesy is for a certain DATE and TIME? I pray for him. If he is doing this for selfish gains, God will take care of the issue. There are many Pastors, Ministers, Evangelicans who speak incorrectly not on purpose but through their interpretation of verses and thought process. I stand quiet in this matter until I FULLY evaluate this man. Shame on anyone who judges on quick hearsay and what godless GOOGLE says! I have a brain and I can research this thus drawing my own conclusion.

  10. Hi Dee. Praying for the dead is necromancy. Kim Clement died at 60 this year.

  11. Dear Dee

You are more than welcome to draw your own conclusions.

Please draw a conclusion on this: Kim Clement said multiple times that no where in the bible does it say you have to be born again.
Please read this article slowly and completely: https://www.discerningtheworld.com/2012/06/29/kim-clement-wolf-sheeps-clothing/

I pray you draw the right conclusion.

  12. Marie M Locke says:

Another MAJORLY false “prophet” these people flock to as if he IS somebody is Mark Taylor. JUST hearing him say “Thus sayeth the Lord” and then spewing lies grieves me. He “empties” his mind and writes down what “God says to him”. I KNOW there is a name for that, similar to if not divination..can’t remember it. Sort of like Sarah Young and her “Jesus Calling” books, etc. No man can speak for God…God speaking is Scripture, the Canon is closed. Speaking to us through His word is not the same, by the way. That’s another long definition though that we should ALL know and understand.

  13. Jimmy says:

II Peter chapter 1 verses 19-20-21: “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

God DOES NOT answer to man, man WILL answer to God!
Never overlook or dismiss: God says what He means & God means what He says, end of discussion.

Why would ANYONE lean on or trust in ‘Kim’ rather than lean on AND trust in God!?
