IT’S TIME FOR “MY PEOPLE” – “MY PEOPLE?”

Please note how Angus Buchan changed 2 Chronicles 7:14. Instead of quoting it correctly as “and will heal THEIR (THE JEWS) land (ISRAEL), he very subtly changed it to read as “and will heal THE land.” Believers are never referred to as “my people” in the word of God. They are always referred to as the Bride of Christ Jesus or Christians. Israel is the only nation in the entire world who is called by God’s Name (or named after God). God Himself gave Israel her name (Genesis 32:22-28). Jesus never said to believers, “Your name shall be ‘Christian.'” Wikipedia says:

The first recorded use of the term [Christian] (or its cognates in other languages) is in the New Testament, in Acts 11:26, after Barnabas brought Saul (Paul) to Antioch where they taught the disciples for about a year, the text says: “[…] the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” The second mention of the term follows in Acts 26:28, where Herod Agrippa II replied to Paul the Apostle, “Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.” The third and final New Testament reference to the term is in 1 Peter 4:16, which exhorts believers: “Yet if [any man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.”

Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:1-2).

The Bride of Christ (as a single body of Christ) does not live in a particular land which she can call her/their land. They are dispersed throughout the world in different countries. Furthermore, like Abraham, they are mere sojourners in a world that hate them (John 15:18). They are pilgrims in an extremely hostile world (Hebrews 11:13; 1Peter 2:11) who “look for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” (Hebrews 11:10).

To most of our readers, it may seem somewhat trivial to change a verse in that way. “Aaagh, so what, ‘their’ or ‘the:’ what difference does it make? Oom Angus said it with so much love in his heart, and he was deeply sincere when he said it like that.” He may have been very sincere but nevertheless, he was sincerely wrong. Look at it this way, Jesus said we shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4). Whenever we use the recipe from one or another master chef, we are obliged to use all the ingredients he stipulates in his recipe. Should we change any one of his ingredients, it would no longer be the bread of that particular chef, and may even be harmful to anyone who eats of it. If so, who are we to change the ingredients of the most superlative Chief Chef’s “food” or “nourishment” (“sustenance”) in the entire universe? (Matthew 12:36).

However, there is a much deeper meaning behind all of this. Angus Buchan is a Dominionist who believes that all denominations (even the most heretical) must put their petty doctrines aside and unite as one to change, not only South Africa but the entire world. As such it reeks of globalism and universalism. Oom Angus says:

It’s time to blow the trumpet in Zion.

It’s time to call the believers together.

It’s time for salvation.

Why must it be a time for salvation when the 1 000 000 souls who are expected to come together in one place are all believers? Oh, wait a sec. They must receive a second blessing wrought through miracles. What did Jesus say?

A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. (Matthew 16:4).

Please note the word “departed” (“aperchomai”) which does not merely mean he departed from them. It means that He was no longer present with them when they sought their so-called miracles. If you are not satisfied with the one and only sign He gave (the sign of Jonas – His death, burial, and resurrection), and seek after or crave for all kinds of other so-called miracles, signs, and wonders, He will leave you to your own devices. He will no longer be in your presence. So, if He leaves, who, may we ask, is the Jesus who remains with them to do his so-called miracles? Your guess is as good as mine. (2 Corinthians 11:3-4).

What we have here is just an extension of the Transformations of people like Graham Power who believe that the alleged binding of the demonic forces over South Africa will miraculously heal the land.   See article:  Graham Power meets Pope Francis

Time: About 4:30 AM

Place: Babylon.

Scene: The prophet Daniel is jogging along a road in Babylon when suddenly, like a flash in a pan, God speaks to him. He immediately stops to listen more carefully and distinctly hears only two words spoken to him – “IT’S TIME.” (It’s actually three words compressed into two, but who cares).

Although Daniel is a bit perplexed and fails to see what “it’s time” for, he musters enough courage, runs to the town’s square and begins to plead with his brethren, the Jews, to convene en masse on a farm nearby to seek the face of the Lord. He proceeds to tell them why they need to obey God’s command.

“We are sick and tired of the Babylonians who are taking the law into their own hands and perpetrating the most heinous crimes, corruption, hatred, rapes and murders against the Jewish people. We are going to call upon the Lord to bring justice, peace and hope to our beloved Babylon. He said, ‘If my people who are called by my Name.’ That’s you and I. . . When is it? On the 22^nd of April about 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Cancel every meeting and make sure you’re there. I really believe this is our last chance we will have in Babylon to bring normality back to this beloved nation. God bless you. Goodbye. Oh, I nearly forgot to tell you. No entrance fees will be charged at the event itself, but for those of you who want to donate something, we will soon provide our banking account details.

This may well be a wee bit of a skit on Daniel 9 but it proves to perfection why we should be very careful of so-called prophets who assemble millions of people to pray for their country.

FERVENT PRAYER

IS IT WRONG TO PRAY FOR YOUR COUNTRY?

Of course, it is not at the very least wrong to pray for our country. However, Christians are never exhorted to pray for their land, especially for it to be purged of crime, corruption, injustice, rape, and people who have disrespect for their fellow human beings. These atrocities ought to be dealt with by the country’s laws and its courts, and everyone who breaks the countries laws should be prosecuted, and if need be, incarcerated accordingly. (Romans 13:1-7)

Christians are exhorted to pray for the precious souls of their leaders so that they may be saved to govern the country righteously, and to meticulously apply the country’s laws according to the will of God. God has given them the power of the sword to protect those who abide by the laws and to punish those who do not. God will never meddle in the laws of a country in order to purge and eradicate crime, corruption, injustice, rape, and disrespect for fellow human beings in behalf of an elected government. That is, as I said earlier, the responsibility of those who have been appointed to higher authorities. Jesus never interfered in the legal matters of Rome or any other country, but to fulfill his one and only mission to earth, which was to seek and to save the lost. (Luke 19:10).

Hence, Paul’s appeal in 1 Timothy 2 to pray for the leaders of our country.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

A COUNTRY GETS THE LEADERS IT DESERVES

Countries are often given the leaders they deserve (Daniel 2:21), who, when they are godless and wicked, cause the people to mourn and grow weary under the strain of injustices, crime, and corruption. Could it be that South Africa is presently being strained under the rod of God’s judgments (Isaiah 26:9), and if so, what provoked Him to resort to these terrible measures? Let us turn to 1 Corinthians 10

Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (1 Corinthians 10:1-11).

God’s people, the Israelite, are in many ways a kind of yardstick by which the Gentile nations can measure themselves to see whether they are liable for the very same, or similar judgments that befell Israel throughout her history as a nation. Please bear with me whilst we ask ourselves whether huge meetings such as the one in Bloemfontein can appease God and make Him do what we ask of Him?

DO THE PRAYERS OF A MILLION OR MORE PEOPLE HAVE MORE POWER THAN THAT OF A SINGLE INDIVIDUAL?

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. (James 5:16-20).

There are several things we need to take into account from the above-quoted passage.

God doesn’t need millions of peoples’ prayers before He listens and answers them. The prayers of a righteous individual can accomplish just as much and even more, without the extra paraphernalia like hiring a farm to accommodate millions, to sponsor buses to transport hordes of people to the venue, and to supply your banking details so that whosoever wishes to donate money can do so by transferring it to the Captain of the Mighty Men Movement without any further ado.

Wow! The semblance to change South Africa from a country riddled with crime, rape, corruption and injustices into a Godly and peaceful paradise has become a very lucrative business. Perhaps this is the very reason why God rather chose individuals like Daniel and Elijah to do the praying for their country instead of millions of people who each had their own agenda in the maintenance and furtherance of their own egotistical and personal little plans.

Consider the Christians in Islamic countries. They are being persecuted harassed, tortured, mutilated and beheaded in droves. Are they beseeching God in prayer to purge their countries of the heinous crimes, rapes, and injustices because “IT’S TIME”?  NO! I say NO! They are praying that God would mercifully grant them a resilient spirit to remain steadfast in their faith and never to deny Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour (Revelation 12:11). Why? Because they have a much better understanding of the words “It’s Time” than all the false teachers in the West put together.

The next thing to note is that Elijah prayed for God’s judgments to fall on his people, the Jews, in the form of drought. Three years and six months of severe drought followed during the reign of Ahab and his wicked queen, Jezebel.

You may also recall how Zedekiah prophesied falsely in the name of the Lord declaring that King Ahab would prosper in his battle against the Syrians and defeat them. However, God’s appointed prophet, Micaiah, prophesied what the Lord commanded him to say and it was not a pretty thing at all. He declared God’s judgments on King Ahab and Israel (1 Kings 22:17). Nonetheless, instead of heeding Micaiah’s prediction, God allowed a lying spirit to inspire Ahab’s prophets because God resolutely decided to judge King Ahab for his idolatrous lifestyle with his wife, Jezebel (1 Kings 22:21-18). Unlike Micaiah and all the other true prophets of God, Oom Angus Buchan says in no uncertain terms in one of his many promotional videos, that God IS going to restore South Africa

Have you noticed that people are not invited to the enormous venue in Bloemfontein on the 2^nd of April to seek God’s forgiveness for our sins and transgressions against Him and Him alone (Psalm 51:4). They are invited to witness the power of God, the healing of people in their seats, and how He is going to restore South Africa into a brand new Paradise of Eden in the twinkling of an eye. Why do millions of people need to make a pilgrimage to a chosen venue and assemble in one place like the Roman Catholics who have their own special places of miracle healings, like Lourdes in France, when God can miraculously save South Africa from all its atrocities through the prayers of one individual? Indeed, the spirit of the false prophet Zedekiah is alive and well in South Africa. That’s for sure.

How certain is Angus Buchan that God is going to heal people in their seats and going to change our country for the better – from a crime, and rape, and corrupt infested country to a peace-loving, serene, and God-honouring country? Isn’t there a possibility that the devastating things presently befalling our beloved country are actually God’s judgments on a people who have a form of godliness but have denied the power thereof? (2 Timothy 3:5).

AN ECUMENICAL HEALING

Angus Buchan is and has always been an ecumenicist par excellence whose aim it is to unite all the diverse denominations in South Africa, even to the extent that he is prepared to sacrifice biblical doctrine on the idolatrous ecumenical alters of Satan. Listen to what Angus Buchan says here.

That’s what Angus Buchan thinks, but what does God think about people who put His doctrines aside?

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.  (2 John 1:9).

The Greek word for doctrine is “didacheÌ„” and refers to Christ’s teaching with special reference to the teaching of the Twelve Apostles. Anyone who does not adhere to their teaching or teachings does not have the Father nor the Son. They have another spirit, another Jesus, and another gospel (Please read the entire article here).

Jannie Pelser also tried his level best to marshal the peoples of South Africa into a united force to help him change South Africa by giving her a brand New Heart in 2014.  Things have only worsened to an exponential degree since then, and Jannie still believes that Jesus did not come to save lost souls but to set up his Kingdom of peace, righteousness, and justice on earth.

Jannie Pelser’s rallying cry that South Africa needs a NEW HEART sounds so wonderfully and genuinely Christian, but is it? In vogue with the false teachers who have learned the art of spiritual transformation (2 Corinthians 11:14-15), he cunningly hides the truth that South Africa desperately needs Jesus Christ, the only Person who can supply a new heart, and rather spreads the lie that Jesus did not come to the earth to seek and to save the lost but to set up his Kingdom on earth, a kingdom including just about every Tom, Dick and  Harry from every conceivable denomination in the world who is quite happy and prepared to put doctrine aside.

ANGUS BUCHAN’S DELIBERATE REFERENCES TO THE JEWS TO SUBSTANTIATE HIS TEACHING

Angus Buchan knows that many churches in South Africa have adopted Jewish customs because they desperately want to return to their Jewish Roots. Consequently, you would often hear him referring to Joshua 24:15, 2 Chronicles 7:14 and the Jews who habitually came together en masse in their temple in Jerusalem, in an attempt to put a stamp of approval on his own mass meetings, the so-called Mighty Men rallies, and now this huge million strong meeting in Bloemfontein on the 22^nd April. What Oom Angus conveniently forgets is that in most cases God abhorred the Jews’ meetings in the temple.

I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts. Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs (comprised of some of the biggest sound systems available); for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves. Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts. (Amos 5:21-27)

Angus Buchaneagerly says he does not care whether you are a Baptist, a Dutch Reformed, a Methodist, a Charismatic, a Pentecostal or a Roman Catholic because he thinks it doesn’t matter to God what you are that much. In fact, Angus Buchan, doesn’t care who endorses him and with whom he associates. The “laugh-your-head-off-false prophet,” Rodney Howard-Browne, is one of them.

False prophets love to quote Scripture to convey their own false teaching and deliberately omit the adjacent verses that elucidate the context. Here’s how Angus Buchan should have quoted from Joshua 24.

Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. (Joshua 24:14-15).

Joshua is saying, “OK listen up, you guys! You have a God-given choice to either serve the Babylonian gods the Egyptians and Amorites incorporated into their own customs and ordinances or you can choose to serve the true God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as I and my family have already chosen to serve. So, make your choice.”

NO! saith Angus Buchan, it matters very little with whom you choose to fellowship because petty doctrines divide us and we don’t need that, do we? We should put those silly petty doctrines aside and unite as one to fight and eradicate the crime, rape, corruption and injustice in our beloved country.

Why is Angus Buchan so concerned about the atrocities of unbelievers who are probably the only scoundrels who would dare to perpetrate such heinous crimes, because “Christians” would never think of doing those things? The only sins “Christians” tolerate with much love and understanding is homosexuality. Oh, and do not forget, the sin of ecumenism. But, then again, we cannot possibly compare the latter sins with crimes against humanity, or even against God because they are based on love, tolerance, understanding and an attitude of “LIVE AND LET LIVE.”

Let’s put on our thinking caps for a moment and try very hard to understand how Oom Angus reconciles serving God, and no other gods, whilst most of today’s churches have already opted to serve another Jesus who espouses another gospel and is inspired by another spirit. Let’s begin with the Dutch Reformed Church of South Africa.

THE DUTCH REFORMED CHURCH

THE DRC’S CHAMELEON JESUS

It is almost certain that a large contingent of members of the Dutch Reformed Church will be in attendance at Angus Buchan’s million strong “It’s Time” gathering in Bloemfontein. Before we continue to elaborate a little more on Buchan’s plea that all the denominations ought to set aside their petty doctrines in favour of unity, let us briefly look at how fiercely the Dutch Reformed Church’s hierarchy is fighting to legalise gay marriages in their church throughout the country.

In Genesis 15:16 there is a very interesting word of which the translation does not correctly convey the true meaning of the verse. It is the word “shaÌ‚leÌ‚m” which, the Brown-Drivers-Briggs/Strong  Old Testament Lexicon defines as follows:

1) complete, safe, peaceful, perfect, whole, full, at peace

1a) complete

1a1) full, perfect

1a2) finished

1b) safe, unharmed

1c) peace (of covenant of peace, mind)

1c1) perfect, complete (of keeping covenant relation).

As you may have noticed the word has been translated as “full” in the KJV and other English Bibles, and most people understand this to mean “full” in the sense of a cup, a beaker or a bottle being filled to its full capacity with a liquid. In other words, the cup, beaker or tumbler itself serves as a measuring tool to determine fullness. This is not what it means. It actually has a much deeper meaning and expresses the degree to which sin has reached fullness, in the sense that people have grown impervious and completely unresponsive to God’s admonishments with regard to sin and have become fully and perfectly at ease or at peace with it, and even manage to mollycoddle their peace-making attitude to sin from Scripture. No one raises an eyebrow because they all have become comfortable with the things God calls sin. Consequently, society’s legal system, its governmental institutions, and the churches turn a blind eye to God and his Word. By the way, those churches who do not speak out against the sin of homosexuality and gay marriages are as guilty as those who are vociferously defending and condoning it. (Romans 1:32).

The following examples illustrate how vigorously the DRC and her most elitist authorities are viciously contending to legalise gay marriages in their church instead of preaching the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ so that lost souls may be saved. One of the most dangerous ruses some of them are using to make their congregants feel fully at ease and at peace with sin is their aberrant use of the word “love.” Please bear in mind that there are two kinds of love – a heavenly love and a hellish love. The first takes you to heaven, the second to hell.

During the General Synod Meeting of the DRC in 2015, Pastor Fay van Eeden of the DRC in Lynwood asked the attendees the following question, which by the by, was regarded by many as a prophetic utterance from the Living God Himself.

“We must ask ourselves today which interpretation of the Bible we are going to choose: The Bible that requires a strict adherence to the law or the Bible that Jesus Christ interprets as loving and compassionate. Can we still use the Bible today to exclude people from the love of Jesus Christ?”

Her so-called prophetic utterance perfectly sums up how the DRC has managed to dissect or sever the Old Testament from the New, and no wonder because it is predominantly the Old that rigorously speaks out against the sin of homosexuality. In their view, Jesus introduced a new and more tolerant and inclusive paradigm, which we should pursue, according to their thinking.

Nelis Janse van Rensburg, the present Moderator of the DRC, made some positive remarks about this phenomenon in a YouTube Video. He said:

On the other side there are people who say they interpret  the Bible differently [from the fundamentalists]. The Bible consists of long drawn-out stories over many centuries, and in these stories of the Bible there is an ongoing process in which the marginalized in society are being included in a much bigger way. And then Jesus appears on the seen who begins to focus his attention more and more on the marginalized, thus spreading the net of God’s mercies much wider and consequently also became more inclusive in his theology.  People say, if you follow this through, this wider and bigger inclusive work of Christ,  which is a genuine biblical understanding of God’s mercies, and enter into the 21^st Century, then you cannot exclude the notion that Christ would also make God’s wider mercies available to people who are in a same sex relationship. [Tom Lessing: Ah so, Jesus came to the earth to die on an old rugged cross so that we all may remain in our sins and transgressions in a much wider and bigger inclusive style? Fancy that! We are all going to a heaven where we may continue our wider and inclusive sins. HALLELUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD!) 

From the above emboldened part of Nelis Janse van Rensburg’s YouTube video it is manifestly obvious that the Franciscan friar, Richard Rohr, who was ordained in the Roman Catholic Church in 1970, has had a huge influence on the DRC’s hierarchy and the wide or broad way (Matthew 7:13-14) they have chosen to take together with all their church members. Richard Rohr says:

Jesus consistently ignored or even denied exclusionary, punitive, and triumphalistic texts in his own Jewish Bible  [Old Testament] in favor of passages that emphasized inclusion, mercy, and honesty. That becomes self-evident once you are told and begin to look for yourself.

He had a deeper and wider eye that knew what passages were creating a highway [Matthew 7:13] for God and which passages were merely cultural, self-serving, and legalistic additions. When Christians pretend that every line in the Bible is of equal importance and inspiration, they are being very unlike Jesus.

He read his own inspired Scriptures in a spiritual and highly selective way, absolutely ignoring and even rejecting some parts of it in favor of inclusive and helpful messages and parables. Jesus read the inspired text in an inspired way, which is precisely why he was accused of “teaching with authority and not like our scribes” (Matthew 7:29). He then accused fervent and pious “teachers of the law” of largely missing the point; “You understand neither the Scriptures nor the power of God” (Mark 12:24), he told them (Mark 12:24). We cannot make the same mistake all over again-and now in his name.

We must be honest and admit that the New Testament was largely written in Greek-a language which Jesus did not speak or understand [Tom says; And now, suddenly, Jesus is an illiterate?] -and even this was done thirty to seventy years after his death and centuries before the age of digital recorders. We can only conclude that the exact words of Jesus were apparently not that important for the Holy Spirit-or for us. [Tom says: May I remind you what Jesus said in Matthew 4:4?]. We have only a few snippets of Jesus’s exact words in his native Aramaic. This should keep us all humble and searching for our own experience of the Risen Christ-now-instead of arguing over Greek verbs and tenses.

Finally, our very inclusion of the Jewish Bible into the official canon of our Christian Bible is forever a standing statement about inclusivity itself. Our Bible structurally admits that the Jewish Bible and Jewish religion, and their painful history, was indeed inspired and led by God, long before Jesus. It is amazing that we were ever able to miss such a central point. Abraham, Moses, and Sarah were fully justified before God without ever knowing Jesus-by the words of our own Christian Scriptures. Our Bible is an inclusive text, which already builds on pre-Jewish history, pagan roots and language, intertestamental literature, and clear Greek influences. That is much of its genius and puts us on a good trajectory for always finding the sacred in what first seems secular

So I thank you for your courage and humility in opening this book. I pray that each time you close it, you will be wiser, holier, more compas­sionate, and more able to love our suffering world.

No one needs to be a rocket scientist to see that Angus Buchan’s plea to set aside doctrine in order to unite every conceivable denomination under one banner called “my people who are called by my name” is closely akin to Richard Rohr’s and the DRC’s idol of “inclusivity.”

I need to emphasize that Satan is a mastermind in his knowledge and use of the Bible. In fact, he knows and can quote the Bible better than any creature who goes under the name of homo sapiens (hetero or homo) and quite easily twists it to suit his own agendas. Pastor Fay van Eeden had the privilege to present the Synod with the devil’s take on the book of Ruth. I’m quite sure if Jesus had been there He would have said, “Get thee behind me Satan.”

Fay van Eeden said:

The Ruth narrative disputes the exclusive interpretation of the Deuteronomy text. The author of the Ruth narrative presents us with another possibility. The Ruth Book describes people who also do what the Bible tells them to do, who also take the Bible seriously – but these people interpret the Bible differently. Their interpretation of God’s Word is guided by love for people who suffer. Their interpretation of the Bible is guided by compassion caring for people, people who are being banished from the DRC for whatever reason.

The ethics behind her story is that God supposedly relaxed and toned down his attitude to his laws from a rigid, harsh, loveless and legalistic approach (represented by the Deuteronomy text in the time of Esra and Nehemiah) to a softer, more compassionate and caring one for homosexuals, in the same way He accommodated a Moabite woman (Ruth) into the fold of his covenant people when he allowed her to marry Boaz, a Hebrew. This, she believes, was in stark contrast to the narrative of the Hebrew men who had married heathen women, and were commanded to send their wives and children back to where they had come from.

Whereas the law forbade God’s people to marry women from the heathen nations surrounding them, a new and more lenient view took shape subsequent to Israel’s release from their bondage in Babylon, according to the LGBT protagonists in the DRC. This, they say, was affirmed by God’s blessing on the marriage between Ruth and Boaz. They conveniently forget that God occasionally allowed individuals from the heathen nations to marry Hebrew men to accomplish his plan of salvation. However, it is imperative to know that these women willingly surrendered their lives to God and his holy laws. Both Ruth from Moab and Rahab the harlot from Jericho are telling examples (Ruth 1:16; Joshua 2:10-11). Nonetheless, the charlatans and the darnel of the DRC won’t tell you this because they have their own devilish agendas to attend to. Both these women, Ruth and Rahab, were included in Jesus Christ’s genealogy (Matthew 1:5), proving that Jesus did not become flesh and blood to save the Jews alone but also the Gentiles. Moreover, Boaz’s marriage to Ruth personifies Jesus Christ’s betrothal to his Bride, consisting mostly of a bunch of Gentiles who are no better than the Moabites.

Imagine what would have happened if God relaxed his holy laws for the sake of love and allowed a man (male homosexual) to lie down at Boaz’s feet instead of the Moabite woman, Ruth . . . We would never have had a Messianic Saviour to redeem us. The bottom line is that we dare not use the marriage between a Moabite woman and a Hebrew man to validate same-sex marriages. That’s just too ridiculous,  to say the least. Jesus is the same yesterday, tomorrow and forevermore and moreover it was He, the One who partook of flesh and blood to redeem mankind, who destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone from the heavens.

What do you say or what should you say to someone who manages to see Jesus as some kind of chameleon who unceremoniously changed his colours from an Old Testament Jesus to a 21^st  Century Jesus? As far as I can recall, the Bible distinctly says that Jesus is the same yesterday (the Old Testament), today (New Testament) and forevermore  (Hebrews 13:8). Nonetheless, church leaders like Nelis Janse van Rensburg and Nelis Niemandt who have fallen prey to Satan’s devices to make people feel at ease and at peace with sin, must of a necessity find some kind of compromise between the fundamentalists and the liberals in their church.

Should they fail to appease both groups in their church, their entire institution will probably cave in like a house of cards. Have they forgotten it was Jesus in his pre-incarnate appearance (epiphany) to Abraham and Sarah who caused fire and brimstone to fall from heaven and completely destroy Sodom and Gomorrah? If He hasn’t changed since then, why would He timidly allow gays and lesbians to wittingly and lovingly tie the knot in a DRC Church whilst a gay “dominee” (pastor) passionately says, “You may now kiss the Bride?”

Fay van Eeden asked the abovementioned question against the backdrop of the heated debate the DRC had during the General Synod in 2105 on gay marriages. No, my dear, God has never excluded anyone from his love personified in his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. They themselves are excluding them from his love and compassion.

And just to remind you, my dear, Jesus never separated his commandments (laws) from his love. You, being an ordained pastor in your church, should know that He Himself once said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15) and “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love” (John 15:10).

If you really want to venture so far as to separate his righteous judgments on man’s contravention of his holy laws, then you must of necessity separate his love from the cross of his beloved Son. The kind of love you are vying for in your plea is not of God and may lead many people to hell. In fact, your kind of love has inspired many gay people to believe in another Jesus and not the Jesus of the Bible (2 Corinthians 11:14).

It is not the purpose of this article to highlight in minute detail the great divide in the DRC on gay issues. The main reason why the author of the article accosts the gay and lesbian issue in the DRC is to prove that we can pray until the cows come home for God to save South Africa from crime, corruption, rape, injustice and murder, for it will avail absolutely nothing until the churches appear in sack and cloth before God to confess our sins to Him and cease to make peace with sin. Perhaps then, and then alone He may heal our beloved land.

THE DRC’S SAME-SEX MANDORLA

Another heretic who’s had an enormous influence on the churches in South Africa is Leonard Sweet, a very good and appreciated friend of Stephan Joubert, . . . you know, the guy who runs “Echurch,” who used to be a good friend of Rob Bell and Brian McClaren, who is still a very good friend of the heretical twins, Johan and Theo Geyser of the Mosaiek Church in Johannesburg and the INVIA Church in Cape Town respectively, who often preach their heresies on the Afrikaans TV Channel KykNet, and vociferously promote the Emergent Church’s Eastern-modelled meditation known as Contemplative Prayer.

The heretics of the false Christian church are never satisfied with the written Word of God and always seek out new methods to entice and entertain their congregants. The irony is that their so-called new and postmodernized methodologies are always patterned after old Eastern religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Shamanism and the likes. One of these methodologies that have recently begun to enhance the filthy stream of heresies flowing through our country is the so-called Mandorla. I was introduced to it the first time when I attended a “Learning Experience” entitled “Summoned2Serve” presented by Leonard Sweet, Stephan Joubert and Lindie Strydom (presenter of “Geloof, Hoop en Liefde” on KYKNET TV) in the Kerksondermure (“Church without Walls”) Auditorium in Pretoria on 1 October 2016.

When I began to research the Mandorla, I wasn’t surprised to see that the Dutch Reformed Church used it at their General Synod Meeting in 2015 to strengthen their stance on gay marriages and gay pastors. The Synod Meeting dealt mainly with the gay agenda. Be that as it may, the one thing that struck me the most was that art, and in particular, paintings were used to sway the minds of the attendees.

One painting, in particular, caught the attention. It’s a painting by Christiaan Harris of which the symbolism was described as follows.

Please note that the colours of the river match the colours of the LGBT society.

Another painting by the Chinese artist, Dr. He Qi, also allegedly portraying the story of Naomi and Ruth, was presented at the Synod. Dr Johan van Heerden pointed out the subtle meaning of the various symbols in the painting. He said:

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to see whence he was leading the DRC Synod of 2015 when he held the mandorla carrot close to their noses. Could it be he is saying that with God it is possible to unite male and female in a single body so that two males or females can marry and still be seen as husband and wife? Your guess is as good as mine. If so, it is worse than blasphemy. Please read here to get more info on the mandorla.

Are Oom Angus and his cronies so utterly deceived that they believe God would heal our land when these abominations are taught and promoted in our churches?

CHARISMATIC AND PENTECOSTAL CHURCHES

Another group who will attend “It’s Time” on the 22^nd Apil in their thousands are the various denominations who resort under the names of “charismatic” and “pentecostal.” Let’s begin this part of our article with a question. Where do people go who have become disillusioned with the DRC, the Reformed Church, the Hervormde Kerk, the Methodist Church, the Baptist Church, and all the other churches who espouse the teaching of the serial killer, John Calvin (Calvinism), simply because, as I have often heard some of them say to me, these churches are “as dead as a doornail”

Well, the very first thing they do is to search for churches who are “alive” and buoyant and bear names like The Living Church and the New Life Worship Centre, or The Real Life Worship Centre. They no longer have a desire to warm the pews of those “dead churches” with their buttocks whilst the preacher half-heartedly and tediously bellows a ritualistic presentation of the Gospel he or she has learned in seminary.

They want to experience their faith, and most of all, they want pastors and preachers who tickle their ears (2 Timothy 4:3). They no longer tolerate the loving exhortation of well-intentioned brethren who can see how the devil is leading them to destruction. (Proverbs 14:12). Multitudes of people, some of whom are my own family members, highmindedly pooh-pooh your warnings with ready-made catch-phrases they had learned in their churches, one of which is “Oh! That’s just your opinion,” when you read or quote to them word for word passages from Scripture. (2 Timothy 4:1-4). At any rate, why would they care to heed Scripture when they have been so rigorously indoctrinated to believe that their faith must rest on experience? What are these experiences? Let’s take a quick look at some of them.

THE BELIEVER’S BAPTISM

One of the very first things they ask when you join a Charismatic or Pentecostal Church is,

“Have you been baptized?”

“huh, Oh yes, I was baptized in church when I was still a little baby.”

“No, no, I’m not talking about that kind of baptism. I’m talking about the believers baptism.” You know, the one where you are immersed in a lot of water like a swimming pool?

A friend of my wife and I was overjoyed when she told us that she and her husband had been baptized with the believers’ baptism. I am sure that if I had I asked her whether they would have gone to heaven if they hadn’t been baptized, she would probably have answered in the affirmative. So, what’s the point, you may ask? The point is, to what purpose must a believer undergo the believer’s baptism when it has no bearing whatsoever on your final destination, and when you already have the assurance that you are going to heaven? Paul of Tarsus emphatically stated that the so-called believer’s baptism has very little to do with the Gospel. He wrote:

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. (1 Corinthians 1:17)

Wow, Paul, you must be kidding. Didn’t Jesus command his disciples “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Mat 28:19-20)?

SPEAKING IN TONGUES

Another experiential ditch the unsuspected have fallen into is the teaching that the speaking in tongues is the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I remember a missionary telling us years ago how an unbeliever walked past a church in Kwa Zulu Natal and heard people speaking in strange languages. His curiosity forced him to enter the church and to listen to the cacophony of strange languages. After the pastor had delivered his sermon and told the people that what they had experienced was the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the stranger walked up to him and asked him whether he understood what one particular person in the audience had said.

“No, my  friend. Why do you ask?”

Well, I am not a believer but was shocked to the bone when I heard what the man said. He spoke in a dialect I know very well and I can assure you that he did not praise or worship your God, as you believe. He cursed your God in the most foul language imaginable. I wouldn’t even speak to my dog in that way.”

Doctrines of demons? You bet! (1 Timothy 4:1). Yet, Isak Burger, the President of the Apostolic faith Mission of South Africa, said in an interview Jan de Wet had with him on Kruiskyk, an Afrikaans Christian TV channel. . . .

Another very important thing is the emergence of the Pentecostal Charismatic movement. There is today, according to Peter Barrett, one of the most important statisticians, 630 million people in the world who can testify that they are filled with the Holy Spirit and also speak in tongues, of which 120 million – and this I heard from the head of an Order in the Roman Catholic Church – affirm that they are filled with the Spirit. So, this is the two main accents, the fruitful soil for the Gospel in the Third World and the emergence of, let us say, the Spirit driven or Spirit led churches. Of course, today it is no longer limited to the traditional Pentecostal Church. To me it is so wonderful to see, when I travel throughout South Africa, and you (Jan de Wet) have experienced it many times. You know, in one of our traditional churches where I preached, some of the elders who sat in the back of the consistory who prayed for me, I heard some of them pray in tongues. Now, where would you have come across something like this in the earlier days in a Calvinistic church? So the Holy Spirit is busy filling the earth in a most wonderful way.

I can assure you, Mr. President of the Apostolic Faith Mission, that the Holy Spirit will never fill the earth or a Calvinist who believes that Jesus Christ died only for the elect because He hates the non-elect and decided to send them to hell even before the foundation of the world, just because it pleases Him. And neither will He fill a Roman Catholic with Himself when their entire salvific doctrine is based on good works – ranging from baptism to indulgences, to the keeping of the Mass, to the wearing of Mary’s scapular, to  Purgatory etc. etc. etc.

The so-called Baptism in the Holy Spirit via the believer’s baptism, the speaking in tongues and especially the phenomenon known as slain in the spirit, have done more to unite the different denominations in South Africa than anything else, because everyone who has experienced these phenomena have been filled – not with the Holy, but with alien spirits called demons.

These demons are the ones calling for a false peace, harmony, and serenity in South Africa, not as a means to return to the God of the Bible but to unite all the denominations, churches, and spiritual paths in a kind of One World fashion. How do I know? I know because true revival starts in every individual’s own heart through the sincere confession of sin and NOT, I repeat NOT with a call upon God to remove the crime, rape, injustices, corruption, anarchy etc. from our country so that we may continue in the atrocities described above. In fact, the aforementioned atrocities are probably God’s way of punishing our country who has opted for a smorgasbord of all kinds of demonic activities mentioned above.

SLAIN IN THE SPIRIT            

Slain in the spirit is arguably the most dangerous phenomenon ever to be devised by Satan in his attempt to enslave people to his One World and globalist paradigm, and ultimately to enslave them to himself. These are hard words, some of you may say, but it is the truth and nothing but the truth. It is an undeniable fact that everyone who has been slain in the spirit – either by the laughing spirit of Rodney Howard-Brown or the laying on of hands by Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen, Angus Buchan or your local pastor – no longer has the ability to think critically or discerningly, and wittingly or unwittingly accept whatever their church leaders and pastors teach them. (2 Timothy 4:3).

Spiritual passivity or lethargy (sluggishness, stupor) which is characterized by an attitude of non-conformity to the Word of God in favour of experience (believer’s baptism, speaking in tongues, slain-in-the-spirit) usually darkens and clouds the mind. (Ephesians 4:18), to the extent that those who had been slain in the spirit highmindedly begin to accuse you of “Oh, that’s just your opinion,” whenever you quote to them word for word from Scripture. One of our country’s most disastrous problems is that the men no longer fulfill their God-given duties as head of their homes (1 Corinthians 14:35). Instead of relying on her husband to take the lead in spiritual matters, the wife becomes a pastor in her church and happily begins to neglect her duties at home, to the extent that their homes begin to look like garbage dumping heaps.. Have they forgotten the old saying, “Cleanliness is Godliness?” By the way, this is usually caused by a passive mind which in turn is caused by having been slain in the spirit.

I sincerely believe it is the ungodly swapping around of roles in the homes that is causing some of their kids to become homosexuals. Don’t blame the kids. Blame the parents who don’t know who’s supposed to be Arthur and who Marther. The kids are confused. Unlike Lot who obeyed God and did not turn around or lag behind to see how Jesus Christ destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, today’s husbands are quite happy to be turned into passive and unreceptive, zombie-like pillars of salt together with their wives because they “love” them so much. (Luke 9:62). That’s not “love.” It’s called “killing you softly with my ‘love,’ my dove.”

The Australian author, Nader Mikhaiel, in his book entitled, Toronto Blessing: “Slaying in the Spirit, the Telling Wonder,” starts his evaluation by asking, “What would your response be to the account of the following New York missionary?”

During the 1800’s, cripples, paralytics and the blind were healed “as in the days of old, by laying on of hands in the name of Jesus,” under a New York missionaries ministry. Healing recipients, praising God, rushed to gather ill friends and neighbours who were also healed. Seeing the miracles, converts clamoured to receive baptism and join the church . . . of a Mormon missionary.

Most Charismatic and Pentecostals would immediately put their hands up in the air and shout, “Hallelujah!  Thank you, Jesus!” until they learn that the missionary was a Mormon. Mormonism is soundly refuted and rejected in the Word of God as blatantly cultic and unscriptural. And perhaps not even then would they renounce his miracles, after having learnt that the missionary was a Mormon, because, like Dr. Isak Burger, the President of the Apostolic Faith MIission in South Africa, who believes that the speaking in tongues among Roman Catholics is the evidence that they had been baptized in the Holy Spirit, they too would believe the Mormon was a true son of God.

Then again, why would we be so concerned about the heresies taught in Mormonism when Oom Angus Buchan passionately beseeched all the denominations in our country to set their petty doctrines aside so as to come together as ONE on the 22^nd April 2017?

CONCLUSION

I began the article with a skit on Daniel 9 but here is what really happened. Bear in mind that this only one man praying and NOT millions of people who love to indulge in all kinds of spiritual fornications with demons (the things set out above).

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee. To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him; Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him. And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem. As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly. O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us. Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake. O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name. (Dan 9:3-19)

Please continue to bear in mind that the people who are called by his Name are not the Christians but Israel.

Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. (2 Corinthians 11:1-4)

For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. (Act 20:29-30)

KEEP ON FILLING PEOPLE WITH FIRE AND MOST OF ALL WITH FAITH

Before we can even think of asking God to heal our beloved country, we will have to deal with the following kind of thing that is rampant in South Africa. It is called Satanic Christianity. It is a false Christianity that is leading thousands upon thousands to hell (Proverbs 14:12; 16:25).

Notice how Angus Buchan bids Rodney Howard-Browne Godspeed (God bless) while the Bible sternly warns . . . .

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (2 John 1:9-11).

The word used here for “partaker” is “koinoneo” and means:-

1. to come into communion or fellowship with, to become a sharer, be made a partner.
   
2. to enter into fellowship, join one’s self to an associate, make one’s self a sharer or partner.
   

In essence, it means that those who “partake” of their evil are so closely in cahoots with them that it seems as though they themselves are doing or had one those evils.
