Hi Nancy :hi:

Lol, I have asked this question to many a Calvinist. I think you can say that: God gives them the faith to accept TULIP as their gospel.
Everything is built around one single Calvinist doctrine; that you are elected by God before the foundation of the world. If you don't believe <em>that you are elect</em>, then you are not 'saved'.

When I read a Calvinist's sermon, I replace the words saved, salvation, faith, gospel etc, with the words "elected by God before the foundations of the world" and "TULIP" etc. All of a sudden their sermons take on a whole new meaning - the correct meaning.

AWESOME comment Mike! Thank you very much :)

You said "What makes this doctrine of devils so hard to see through is that it is shrouded in other teaching from scripture that is often very sound."

This is what makes Calvinism so deadly, more deadly than any other false 'Christian' doctrine I believe.

Hi Tom. Great article. All the articles on Calvinism have ministered to me on this website.
Although I knew Calvinism was wrong, I attempted to attend two Presbyterian churches in Melbourne after departing from Pentecostal/Word of Faith error nearly two years ago. I have recently left in disgust. What makes this doctrine of devils so hard to see through is that it is shrouded in other teaching from scripture that is often very sound. I thought I could feed on the good doctrine and ignore the Calvinism when it surfaced.
However, a recent series of lessons on the Reformation in one of these churches brought things to a head. I had to endure all the nonsense about God 'monergistically' regenerating the elect in order to enable them to believe and repent. The crimes of Calvin were completely ignored as he was placed on a theological pedestal above scripture. God was labelled as 'the author of sin', a supreme blasphemy which caused no-one there (apart from me) to bat an eyelid. I examined again the articles on this website and similar exposes on others, learning that Calvin beheaded a child for striking his/her parents and executed a mother and her infant for the 'heresy' of not agreeing with paedo-baptism. It is beyond me that seemingly rational, intelligent God-fearing people can follow such a man. Calvin makes Jim Jones look like a good pastor in comparison. Better to go NOWHERE than to a church/denomination preaching another gospel, which is exactly what Calvin's gospel is. The partial god is not the God of scripture, the Christ who died for a minority is not the Christ of scripture and the spirit who 'saves' people before they repent is not the Holy Spirit. And no, the people enslaved to this heresy are just as blinded as charismatics, Catholics, Mormons etc. They don't- from my experience- want to hear the truth, which is a sure sign they are NOT saved as the Holy Spirit leads believers into ALL truth, even if they are temporarily waylaid by deception (as I was in the Pentecostal scene). Sadly, many charismatics go from the false kundalini spirit to the false spirit of Calvinism. I am thankful to be delivered from all influence of both. Keep up the good work!

Hi SheepDog. Thanks for your comment. Much appreciated.

Your words, "The bible refutes every petal of tulip but you can go around and round with them and <strong>they won’t see it, not only that but they will get enraged with you for pointing this out."</strong> reminds me of a conversation I had with a "Christian" not so long ago. I quoted to her word for word from God's Word, and guess what she said to me, . . . "Oh that's just your opinion." A Muslim with whom I debated on the internet said exactly the same thing, "Oh, that's just your opinion." Both "Christian and Muslim are actually saying to God Himself, "Oh that's just your opinion. I have my own opinion."

<blockquote>Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Co 4:1-4)</blockquote>

It is impossible to commend the truth to consciences that are seared.

<blockquote>Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; (1 Ti 4:1-2).</blockquote>

Amen!

Thank you for exposing this on your blog. I too am constantly warning against these false doctrines. So many millions, like you said, have been duped by these doctrines of demons. Not only that, but in decades past they used to tolerate each other, now it is their way or no way at all according to them. Only, their way is not God's way. And they elevate the teachings of man above those of God's Word. It is idolatry and it is sad and I see many Christians around me who have fallen prey to all of this. The Bible supports free will and there are so many verses that put their doctrine of 'perseverance' on shaky ground. (Rev. 3; 4-5 for one). The bible refutes every petal of tulip but you can go around and round with them and they won't see it, not only that but they will get enraged with you for pointing this out. Some of the most satanic things JMA has said are 1) denying the atoning blood having direct power to save, and 2) that it would be 'okay' to take the mark of the beast and still be 'saved'. Disciples of satan and wolves in sheep's clothing to be sure, but men are blinded by the gleam of their idols and can't see this fact. It also shows how one false teaching and doctrine leads to another in such cases. I also heard once some argument against evangelism because of the certainty of predestination! How preposterous is that?! Also contradicting the bible, and an obvious tempt of satan. It is a slippery slope down into hell.

In reply to <a href="https://www.discerningtheworld.com/2017/02/06/an-earthquake-redemption-part-1/#comment-453800">Deborah (discerning the world)</a>.

Thanks Deborah.

The heartbreaking thing about Calvinism is that thousands, if not millions, are being duped by so-called men of God who tell people, "God loves you but did not die for you." How people can believe this garbage, is beyond me. It makes me very angry. What shocks me the most is that many Christians who I have known for many years are fans of the so-called "Prince of Preachers," Charles Spurgeon.

Charlie, the so-called Prince of Preachers, wrote (In Defense of Calvinism),

<blockquote>I have my own private opinion that there is no such thing as preaching Christ and Him crucified, unless we preach what nowadays is called Calvinism. It is a nickname to call it Calvinism; <strong><em>Calvinism is the gospel, and nothing else.</em></strong> I do not believe we can preach the gospel, if we do not preach justification by faith, without works; [he is inferring that faith of your own accord is a work] nor unless we preach the sovereignty of God in His dispensation of grace; nor unless we exalt the electing, unchangeable, eternal, immutable, conquering love of Jehovah; nor do I think we can preach the gospel, unless we base it upon the special and particular redemption of His elect and chosen people which Christ wrought out upon the cross; nor can I comprehend a gospel which lets saints fall away after they are called, and suffers the children of God to be burned in the fires of damnation after having once believed in Jesus. Such a gospel I abhor.</blockquote>

So, what old Charlie said, is that the lie to tell people God loves them but did not die for them is the Gospel (GOOD NEWS). What utter nonsense. Charlie may have been a great motivator (talker) but he was a lousy preacher. He was a devil in disguise.

I had a very long and often heated conversation with my daughter in law last Sunday, not about Calvinism, but about love, and how easy those who follow doctrines of demons can speak about love, especially when they defend their heresies. Love and truth cannot be separated. Anyone who purports to be overflowing with feelings of love for others (and feels their pain), and for God, while they have no qualms about sleeping with the enemy (Satan and his demons), are liars. Theirs is not a godly love; it is a hellish love from the very lowest parts of the abyss. I hate it with every fiber of my being, and I don't care a hoot whether they are famous and as well-loved and revered as Charles Spurgeon. Theye are disciples of Satan.

<blockquote>For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, <strong>transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ</strong>. And no marvel; for <strong>Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light</strong>. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2 Co 11:13-15).</blockquote>

Thanks Deborah.

The heartbreaking thing about Calvinism is that thousands, if not millions, are being duped by so-called men of God who tell people, “God loves you but did not die for you.” How people can believe this garbage, is beyond me. It makes me very angry. What shocks me the most is that many Christians who I have known for many years are fans of the so-called “Prince of Preachers,” Charles Spurgeon.

Charlie, the so-called Prince of Preachers, wrote (In Defense of Calvinism),

I have my own private opinion that there is no such thing as preaching Christ and Him crucified, unless we preach what nowadays is called Calvinism. It is a nickname to call it Calvinism; Calvinism is the gospel, and nothing else. I do not believe we can preach the gospel, if we do not preach justification by faith, without works; [he is inferring that faith of your own accord is a work] nor unless we preach the sovereignty of God in His dispensation of grace; nor unless we exalt the electing, unchangeable, eternal, immutable, conquering love of Jehovah; nor do I think we can preach the gospel, unless we base it upon the special and particular redemption of His elect and chosen people which Christ wrought out upon the cross; nor can I comprehend a gospel which lets saints fall away after they are called, and suffers the children of God to be burned in the fires of damnation after having once believed in Jesus. Such a gospel I abhor.

I hate it with every fiber of my being, and I don’t care a hoot whether they are famous and as well-loved and revered as Charles Spurgeon. Theye are disciples of Satan.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2 Co 11:13-15).
