Glad to see you are ok, I have too been offline for almost a year…but I’m back now.

That is the difference. The church affirms the need for the gospel, repentance from sin, salvation of your soul, the atonement of Christ’s death on the cross to save us, separation from sin and the world, and a life of holiness through sanctification by the Holy Spirit. We know it won’t be ‘heaven on earth’ until Christ returns. We know we can’t unite with error and sin and the world and call apostasy a revival. We know we must hold fast to the word of God and warn against the ‘darlings of the apostasy.’

And they deny each and every one of these items and the opposites list continues…

But that is the difference between Christ’s bride, and the world’s harlot (bride of antichrist).

Hallo M, Baie dankie vir jou comment. Simboliek is volop in die Bybel, veral in die boek Openbaring. Ons moet egter baie versigtig wees om dit altyd te sien in terme van hoe God dit aan ons openbaar en verduidelik, en nie soos ons dit graag self wil interpreteer nie. Wat ek eintlik sê, is dat Skrif homself verklaar. God se simbole word juis aan ons gegee om sy openbaringe soveel makliker te kan verstaan, m.a.w om dit vir ons aan die lig te bring. Simboliek wat nie van hom is nie, soos bv die mandorla, word gebruik om op okkultiese (verborge) maniere ons gemoedere (mind) te manipuleer. Die doel daarvan is om ons weg te lei van Christus en sy waarheid en om ‘n ander Jesus, ‘n ander gees en ‘n ander evangelie aan te kleef. Dit is sonde. Ek is besig om die artikel oor die mandorla so effe te verbeter. Daarin verduidelik ek hoe die mandorla ‘n ander evangelie en ‘n ander Jesus verkondig. Ek sukkel ‘n bietjie op die oomblik om my gedagtes agtermekaar te kry, want dis nie altyd so maklik vir ‘n man van 72 nie.

Iemand het net nou die dag vir my ‘n diagram gewys wat nou vir my baie naby aan ,n mandorla lyk. Dit gaan oor holistiese gesondheid. Dit was sirkels waar elke sirkel in die middel bymekaar(overlap) kom. In die middel is God en rondom is ,n sirkel vir dokters, ‘nutritionists’, geestelike leiers, ens.

Ek het ‘n vraag rondom simbole. Daar was ‘n tyd in my Bybelstudie waar ek soms simbole in my Bybel aangeteken het vir bv. ‘n vis teken waar Jesus sy dissipels geleer het of kruis wanneer Hy verwys het na Sy kruisdood ens. Ek doen dit nie meer nie. Maar sou jy dus sê dat mens moet wegbly van simbole? (Nou vra ek vir jou wat is sonde?)
