Wow! Yes Calvinists love to try hoodwink people into thinking they’re not Calvinist’s by lying and saying they’re not when they blatantly are. They are worse than SDA’s – at least SDA’s admit they are seventh day adventist when asked.

I used to subscribe to Got Questions and one day I received an email from them looking for donations. So I responded that if they got rid of their calvinism maybe some solid christians would donate. This warrented a response for the owner (Shea) and tried to tell me that they are not calvinism and then sent me a document to read about their beliefs and then tell me what I thought. I read it and got back to Shea and told him that now there is no doubt they are calvinists and that was the last I heard from him.

Mark your argument is typical of the mysticism that is running rampant in the church today, it is not even funny. The fact that the whole universe cannot contain God does not mean that you cannot know the truth, causing you to remain in a cloud of unknowing throughout your life. This idea is pure Hinduism which believes that one should never ask questions but always just do what you are told.

God Himself, Jesus Christ, promised that his Spirit will guide us in all truth. (John 16:13). He also says, “The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29).

When we get to heaven one day, it won’t be to point fingers at one another and accuse each other of this or that. Paul was a despicable person before he was saved, and so was I as well as you. So, climb down from your high moral ground and remain faithful to God’s command to test (discern) all things in the light of God’s Word, that is to test all doctrine and not individual persons. Only God can judge people. Any attempt on your part to judge the person is an attempt to play God.

By the way, what makes you think we sound like a Calvinist? Are you a Calvinist?

You sound like you are a ‘Calvinist’. Hmm.
Calvin was a despicable person, whereas Arminius was a very godly person. But when we all get to heaven we will clearly see that Calvin AND Arminius (and all the theologians who attempt to boil God down) both had it wrong. God is far greater than man’s attempts to put Him in a little box when even the whole universe cannot contain Him.

Nope. This is a prophecy with regards to Israel’s history regarding Jerusalem (an extremely sinful city) and God’s judgment on it. Ezekiel 22 links to a number of other passages by other Old Testament Prophets. As a whole it’s a depiction of God holding the leaders that being the prophets, priests and princes collectively responsible for the national demise of Israel and how God has had enough of their idolatry and profanity of His holiness.

Only humans are part of the salvation plan, angelic creatures does not entitle salvation. And there is no mentioning that angelic creatures can repent. This is really predestination that God chooses only humans to be saved. Also this is your view of God, that God doesn’t know everything beforehand. We cannot say God is evil because he knows evil beforehand. Actually based on your statements view of God you’ve got the incorrect conclusion …. gotquestions are correct, without the Holy Spirit to repent some people don’t accept and will never accept the full authority and full knowledge of God…are they really believers of God is a big question mark???

Would you say that God’s divine foreknowledge is the determining factor of who would be saved and who not? You reject the word “elect” but sanction the word “predestination?” How does that work for you? Predestination is just another word for election. How do I know? Well, both can be used in sentences without contradicting one another. Here goes: “The elect were elected unto salvation before the foundation of the world” and “The elect were predestined unto salvation before the foundation of the world.” Fai wrote:

Even some of today’s staunchest Calvinists admit that John Calvin was a bad (evil) guy.
