Hi Ariane. And so do the Roman Catholic Church, the Mormons, the Jehovah’s witnesses, and many other heretics back up everything they say with the Bible, with a slight twist. That’s precisely how the angel of light (Satan) works to deceive people.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2 Co 11:13-15).

If, and I emphasize the word “if,” you were willing to take the mark of the beast to save your children from starvation and even your own life, God would never have been your Father and you would never have been his daughter from the word go. And here is why.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (Rev 14:9-11).

At any rate, if you love your own flesh and blood more than Jesus, you cannot be his disciple.

You cannot be my disciple unless you love me more than you love your father and mother, your wife and children, and your brothers and sisters. You cannot come with me unless you love me more than you love your own life. Luke 14:26).

I know of many mothers, who during the persecution in Russia, were given the ultimatum to either deny and renounce Jesus Christ or to see their children hacked to death before their eyes. Most of them chose not to deny Jesus Christ whom they loved more than their own children.

And this, I may add, is true Christianity, and not the kind John MacArthur proclaims where you may take the mark of the beast and still be saved. He is a liar and a malicious deceiver.

You do not know the warnings in the New Testament and skip over or simply ignore them because “Surely these don’t apply to me. I am a Christian.” “Once saved always saved” right? Over and over the New Testament warns us about falling away, backsliding, sinning that keeps us from the Kingdom of God, etc.

Do you believe God changes? Malachi 3:6 “For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

What does He say in Ezekiel 18:

24“BUT WHEN A RIGHTEOUS MAN TURNS AWAY FROM HIS RIGHTEOUS, commits iniquity and does according to all the abominations that a wicked man does, will he live? All his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered for his treachery which he has committed and his sin which he has committed; for them he will die.

25“YET YOU SAY, ‘The way of the Lord is not right.’ Hear now, O house of Israel! Is My way not right? Is it not your ways that are not right?

26“When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity and dies because of it, for his iniquity which he has committed he will die.
