I proved to you in my article that the root and the fruit of psychology and hypnotism is worse than bad. Is is an abomination because it is steeped in the doctrines of demons. When you failed to answer me on hypnotism you started to prod me on the meaning of making disciples of all people.

Perhaps you must read from the top again. I have asked several questions you didn’t answered.(Or also do the “egg-dance” around it) When I said you Journalism is one-sided you delete my post. Now you are doing the same again to make me out as a bad guy.

Good journalism would have been: Your opinion, the opinion of the hypnotherapist, and a opinion of a total un-biased person.Only than the reader can decide. (and like I have said before I am not biased towards hypnotism, I have never done it nor attend it, I am looking for answers)

The Bible clearly says that we should look at the root and the fruit of, not only people, but also the things they practice under the banner of Christianity. I proved to you in my article that the root and the fruit of psychology and hypnotism is worse than bad. Is is an abomination because it is steeped in the doctrines of demons. When you failed to answer me on hypnotism you started to prod me on the meaning of making disciples of all people. I don’t mind talking to you about discipleship and the meaning thereof but what I don’t like is when someone starts to do an egg dance because they have no clue how to answer straightforward questions. So, you are welcome to post here but please at least keep to the subject. Many people claim to know Jesus Christ and to be saved but most of them are not following the Jesus of the Bible. They are following a false Jesus (2 Corinthians 11:4) who loves to warm himself at the fires of just about every Tom, Dick and Harry (including hypnotists). Jannie Pelser is in cahoots with just about everything and everyone he can lay his hands on to be in the limelight, including New Agers, hypnotists, and the Emerging Church. Do you really think God is happy with that?

I know of many cases of hypnosis where it was an issue of altered symptoms but not of deliverance.

Well said Deborah. Hypnotism is very dangerous and pastors, priests, dominees or whatever who promote it must examine themselves whether they are truly saved.

One does not need a degree to understand the bible. All you need is to be born again and the Holy Spirit come to abide in you that qualifies you. I read no where in the bible that you need to have a super dooper CV with qualifications galore. You might need a man made qualification for whatever you do, but when it comes to being born again and having the ability to understand the bible it’s a spiritual qualification, that being you are genuinely SAVED by Jesus Christ.

If you can’t understand by now after all that Tom has said to you that you should be taking your SIN of smoking to Jesus Christ for repentance and deliverance instead of a hypnotist for help, then I am sorry there is nothing more we can say to you. However…

This is just something else I want to say on the matter of Hypnotism, when your mind is under control of hypnotism by someone else, it means you have no control of your mind and demonic forces can take control of your mind. The bible says you are to remain in control of your mind at all costs

1 Peter 1:13 “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;”

Hypnosis, as it is practiced today, may be related to what is identified in the Old Testament as “enchantment”

Leviticus 19:26 “Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.”

As a Christian:
1) The fruit of the Spirit is self-control this includes your mind. If someone else has control of your mind then you are not exercising self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23).
2) We are to yield ourselves—body, soul, and spirit—to God. If someone else has control of your mind, then you are not yielding your mind to God. (Romans 6:12-13)

Hypnosis leads to an altered state of consciousness in which the mind is very susceptible to outside suggestion, the most dangerous of this is demonic suggestion.
