Frans Reichert,

The Bible clearly says that we should look at the root and the fruit of, not only people, but also the things they practice under the banner of Christianity. I proved to you in my article that the root and the fruit of psychology and hypnotism is worse than bad. Is is an abomination because it is steeped in the doctrines of demons. When you failed to answer me on hypnotism you started to prod me on the meaning of making disciples of all people. I don't mind talking to you about discipleship and the meaning thereof but what I don't like is when someone starts to do an egg dance because they have no clue how to answer straightforward questions. So, you are welcome to post here but please at least keep to the subject. Many people claim to know Jesus Christ and to be saved but most of them are not following the Jesus of the Bible. They are following a false Jesus (2 Corinthians 11:4) who loves to warm himself at the fires of just about every Tom, Dick and Harry (including hypnotists). Jannie Pelser is in cahoots with just about everything and everyone he can lay his hands on to be in the limelight, including New Agers, hypnotists, and the Emerging Church. Do you really think God is happy with that?

It is tough to get out of a corner Frans?...

I know of many cases of hypnosis where it was an issue of altered symptoms but not of deliverance.

From an expert in the field of occultism.

Q: What is hypnotism?
A: Hypnotism results when control of the mind is forfeited to another person. The result is an artificial sleep or a state of reduced consciousness.

Q: How does hypnotism work?
A: The mind operates the brain (and the rest of the body) at all times in a basically psychokinetic manner ... Yet, if your own mind can affect your own brain, then the similar nonphysical nature of another mind might also be able to affect your brain, giving rise to your hearing a voice, seeing a vision, or having the other mind speak or write by controlling your body the same way you normally control your own body.

Q: Is hypnotism dangerous?
A: Yes. The specific effects upon each individual cannot always be known. But because of its occultic ties, the numerable negative and demonic experiences we do know of, not to mention the biblical warnings about sorceries and all the verses dealing with mind control, it will always be spiritually dangerous to be exposed to a hypnotist.

"Because hypnotism involves manipulation of the mind, the hypnotist is a form of spiritist or sorcerer.

As for the person who turns to mediums and to spiritists, to play the harlot after them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people (Leviticus 20:6-8). See also Deuteronomy 18:10-13; Isaiah 47:9-12;Jeremiah 27:9-10; and Malachi 3:5."

Frans Reichert,

Hier's my CV, Frans.

Is jy 'n professor, doktor of een of ander hooggeleerde? Roem jy in jou CV? Ek nie want die Skrif sê vir my,

Daarom, soos geskrywe is: Die wat roem, moet in die Here roem. (1Korinthiërs 1:321).

want ek het my voorgeneem om niks anders onder julle te weet nie as Jesus Christus, en Hom as gekruisigde. (2 Korinthiërs 2:2)

Frans Reichert

One does not need a degree to understand the bible. All you need is to be born again and the Holy Spirit come to abide in you that qualifies you. I read no where in the bible that you need to have a super dooper CV with qualifications galore. You might need a man made qualification for whatever you do, but when it comes to being born again and having the ability to understand the bible it's a spiritual qualification, that being you are genuinely SAVED by Jesus Christ.

If you can't understand by now after all that Tom has said to you that you should be taking your SIN of smoking to Jesus Christ for repentance and deliverance instead of a hypnotist for help, then I am sorry there is nothing more we can say to you. However...

This is just something else I want to say on the matter of Hypnotism, when your mind is under control of hypnotism by someone else, it means you have no control of your mind and demonic forces can take control of your mind. The bible says you are to remain in control of your mind at all costs

1 Peter 1:13 "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"

"Hypnosis is nothing new. It has been used for thousands of years by witchdoctors, and shaman spirit mediums alike. Hypnosis has always been a powerful tool of the occult. Four ways to get in touch with the spiritual realm quickly is by hypnosis, drugs, meditation, and visualization. Anytime we interfere and change the normal brain pattern we bring ourselves into an altered state of consciousness, and if radical enough in touch with the spiritual realm. A hypnotist may encourage the participant to enter a light or medium trance, but he cannot guarantee the hypnotized subject from spontaneously entering the danger zone. This is where real and permanent damage can occur. One can experience a sense of being separated from their body, hallucinate, or go into a mystical state similar to those of mystics and meditators. ---http://www.letusreason.org/nam3.htm

Hypnosis, as it is practiced today, may be related to what is identified in the Old Testament as “enchantment”

Leviticus 19:26 "Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times."

As a Christian:
1) The fruit of the Spirit is self-control this includes your mind. If someone else has control of your mind then you are not exercising self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23).
2) We are to yield ourselves—body, soul, and spirit—to God. If someone else has control of your mind, then you are not yielding your mind to God. (Romans 6:12-13)

Hypnosis leads to an altered state of consciousness in which the mind is very susceptible to outside suggestion, the most dangerous of this is demonic suggestion.

Frans Reichert

One does not need a degree to understand the bible. All you need is to be born again and the Holy Spirit come to abide in you that qualifies you. I read no where in the bible that you need to have a super dooper CV with qualifications galore. You might need a man made qualification for whatever you do, but when it comes to being born again and having the ability to understand the bible it’s a spiritual qualification, that being you are genuinely SAVED by Jesus Christ.

If you can’t understand by now after all that Tom has said to you that you should be taking your SIN of smoking to Jesus Christ for repentance and deliverance instead of a hypnotist for help, then I am sorry there is nothing more we can say to you. However…

This is just something else I want to say on the matter of Hypnotism, when your mind is under control of hypnotism by someone else, it means you have no control of your mind and demonic forces can take control of your mind. The bible says you are to remain in control of your mind at all costs

1 Peter 1:13 “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;”
