When momma said she wasn’t permitted to tell, that made me believe all the more that what momma said was absolutely true. She didn’t write an article in some Christian magazine, or news letter. Momma didn’t write a book about it. This was a private matter between her and heaven.

I wasn’t totally sure why, but “something” kept telling me in July. My mother went from this life to permanent LIFE! She is no longer bed-ridden. She no longer has severe arthritis. Her glasses are no longer needed. She has all of her teeth.

She kept telling my brother and me that she was ready to see, “my Jesus”. I want to thank him for dying so I could be saved. Then she wanted to see her beloved husband, my daddy. God had given them almost 65 years together. Now they are with Jesus forever.

I can’t hardly wait too get to see all they are seeing, especially our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Stephen the Martyr saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God when the Jews stoned him to death. He didn’t hallucinate.

And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. It certainly is possible and indeed it happens with some saints just before they die. I know of a woman who cried out “Oh the precious blood of Christ” just before she died.

Long ago when my aunt died me and my dad were at her death bed and in her last moments she lifted up her hands and said “Jesus I see you, I see the holes in your hands … please take me”. I was very emotional after that experience but later believed she was probably just hallucinating, being skeptical of what she has seen. I believe only at the moment after death we will be in God’s presence, not a moment before?

Do you believe this is possible as Dr J Rice mentioned?

Exactly, I was going to mention her and the opposite side of the story too. Paul was told to NEVER mention what he saw in heaven, yet Choo was told to write a book about it. I think not. 😉

Most of the people who claim to have been to heaven and back are most likely not even saved.

I don’t know who Choo Thomas is BUT I’m gratified to hear someone else say that these books by those who claim to have gone to Heaven do NOT line up with His Word. If Paul was told not to say what he saw, why would Yahweh change His mind now and suddenly let so many have a Heavenly Tour and then tell them to return and share what they saw? And the few I’ve read don’t even agree with what they claim to have seen. The Apostle John was allowed to share some of the things he saw in Heaven. We will have to wait BUT we do know He has things for us that we can’t even imagine at this time!!! Hallelujah!

Excellent and thorough! Just wanted to point out that Hell is not the Lake of Fire. Hell goes into the Lake of Fire after the White Throne Judgement. Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

I agree but what and where is hell then if it is not the Lake of Fire? Would you say that the Lake of Fire is already in existence? Scripture please.

When my grandfather preached about hell tears would stream down in face. He cried in the pulpit over the fact that there were some in the pews that were not saved. Wow, what a difference between two preachers. One did not have the heart of a pastor, the other one did.

I remember Dr. John R. Rice. I heard him preach when I was 20 and I’m 58 now. I think he preached on this very topic. He would “roll over in his grave” if he could see the world as it is today. Some of the preachers he loved such as Dr. Jack Hyles of Hammond, Indiana and Jack was having an affair with another mans wife during his whole ministry. Jacks son David is a moral reprobate and the man who took over when Jack died is now serving 12 years in prison for sexual immorality with a 16 year old girl. His secretary would take this girl to meet up with him. With this stuff going on John R. Rice is much happier in heaven not seeing all of this. I doubt he would be surprised though.
