I couldn't help thinking today, as I was musing on where the Church of England is headed, that the whole church system which came out of the Roman church with its hierarchy a few hundred years down the road from Christ, is all heading back to Rome where it started. It has also been said that the Church of England was born out of adultery (Henry VIII) and it will die the same way - spiritual adultery this time!

I am an American and we are NOT Babylon nor the daughter of Babylon. While the descriptions of Babylon can be applied to America, we are not Babylon. Take the scriptures literally unless it doesn't make common sense. Like a Red Dragon, we know there is no such creature so it must represent something. But when scripture makes sense don't seek any other sense. Babylon is Babylon and yes, Babylon will be totally destroyed. Why? Simply because God said so and they are wicked and they are the root of Catholicism, as is Egypt and sun worship.

Babylon is Babylon, Iraq. We, the American tax payers have finished the job of rebuilding Babylon. Saddam Hussein had starting rebuilding Babylon before the Americans entered Iraq. There were no references to Islam any where in the things he built. I don't think Saddam was only interested in Islam when it was "convenient" for him.

I saw a picture of one of our Generals sitting behind Saddam's desk. Behind the General, on the wall was a mural of Saddam & King Nebuchadnezzar. Saddam believed that he was the reincarnation of King Nebuchadnezzar.

Wayne, all of the Christians I know DO believe we are already under God's judgment. We believe the bulk of it started in 2008 and the election of our president. Then he was reelected. Why? To punish us.

We as a nation have turned our back on God. I am not talking about the true church. I am talking about the nation as a whole.

In America alone there have been over 60,000,00 million aborted children. That is 60 million! That is more people than some nations. If America has murdered that many think what the total is from the whole world aborting babies. Their blood cries up to God just as the blood of Cain cried up out of the ground to God.

America has been a blessing to just about every country on earth. BUT...we are one of the most wicked countries. But Babylon will be worse. God has an appointment with Babylon and it will happen when the time of God's vengeance starts. America is full of homosexuals demanding their "right" to do such filthy things that I would not type out here. (I'm sure Debs is glad of that! ;o) We produce more porn movies, filthy books and magazines. Drug abuse is rampant. People are trying to medicate their mental and emotional problems. We know that won't work.

Yes, I love my country. I believe my country has been a beacon of hope during her 237 years. That hope is fading, yet people still try to get here and some die trying. God blessed this nation so we could be a blessing to other nations. When there is a crisis in some nation like an earthquake, hurricanes, tornados...who is first to ship aide? America is. When America experiences the same no countries help us. But God has a people here, a group of those who are sold out to Jesus and we can offer hope to hopeless people. With that said, America will soon be no more. Judgment has started.

Look at these verses:

Daniel 4:25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

Daniel 5:21 And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

Daniel 4:17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

It is GOD alone that gives each and every kingdom (country) to whom HE wills it. Yeah we vote and the NWO crowd thinks they choose the Presidents, but no God chooses. I said earlier that I believe part of Gods judgment is giving us what we deserve. So while we sound like Babylon we are not. Babylon and sun worshippers have been around a lot longer than America has been a country. Babylon (Catholicism) have murdered untold millions and perhaps a billion or so. They will pay for murder of the true believers in Jesus Christ.

Though I was taught at Catholic schools that they believed in the same Trinity as the Protestants, John's comments reminded me of something a Moslem said to me in Morocco back in 2000. This Moslem was dogmatic that the Christian idea of the Trinity was God (the Father), Christ and the Virgin Mary. The man was adamant that God never had sex with the Virgin Mary to produce Jesus.
If that is generally the Islamic view of the Trinity it is not surprising. Moslems by and largely see Catholicism as Christianity; and the Vatican still does a lot of dealings with the Moslems to keep that Moslem view alive. Islam and the Vatican have always been anti-Semitic and both sided with the Nazis in the second world war. Although Islam is iconoclastic, they remain in dialogue with the Vatican. John Paul II was an open friend of the terorist Yassir Arafat.
In a way, the Moslems have a better understanding of Catholicism than many ecumenical Protestants. You ony have to look where statues of "Mary" are situated in most Catholic churches. They are given prominence over Christ in mumber and position. "Christ", when shown with their version of Mary, is usually as child or as a dead body over her lap in a Pieta.
I'm surprised that such things don't ring bells in ecumenical Protestant minds when they do so in Moslem ones. There again, many Protestants these days don't know much about how their own people suffered at the hands of Rome and I doubt if they even care.

John Chingford,

Leonard Sweet is presently touring South Africa. In one of our local Afrikaans newspapers, Neels Jackson (one of their journalists), quoted Sweet:

<blockquote>"If the Protestant Christendom does not learn the language of the present culture, its future is dark.

Sweet said that the Christendom [note: he does not say Christianity] is the largest on earth. The Roman Catholic Church, Orthodox and Pentecostal group are growing.

The one tradition that is not growing is Protestantism. Sweet warned that 2017 would turn out to be a funeral rather than an festival for Protestantism."</blockquote>

The irony is that the Emergent Church of which Sweet is a prominent figure (although he denies it these days) is leading its followers hook, line and sinker right into the RCC's mystic practices such as contemplative prayer, centering prayer, labyrinths, silence etc. They are the one's who are contributing to the growth of the Roman Catholic Church.

Integral spirituality, championed by Ken Wilber is also making a huge contribution to the growth of the RCC. YouTUbe is replete with videos of him having interviews with Thomas Keating.

As Andrew stated, the Babylonians had a triune god (actually a 3 gods triad). They were Osiris (the father), Isis (the mother) and Horus (the son aka Baal, the sun god). Osiris and Isis are better known as Nimrod (the Bible states that Nimrod was the first king of Babylon)and Semiramis. Isis is also mentioned in the Bible by other names such as Astarte (Ashtoreth)and Diana. In all cases they uphold the Babylonic religion faith in the triad gods of father, son and holy mother, with the mother holding central place on a throne.

The Catholic organisation (not a church) have brought together old Babylon religion in all its mysteries and blasphemy under the name of "christian". The book of Revelation REVEALS what we see today.
