Retha McPherson’s Message from Another God – (Part 1)

Retha and Aldo McPherson - A Message From God

Retha McPherson’s Message from Another God

There is a whole lot I want to write about Retha  McPherson and Aldo McPherson, their story is so strange I don’t quite know where to start.  I suppose the beginning will be the best place.  In order to unravel the mystery behind Aldo and his mother I’ve had to analyse their book, A message from God – a 12 year old boy’s experience in heaven from the first page to the last page and then write down my findings in an order that makes the most sense.

But first, lets take a look at this Youtube video, where Retha McPherson is interviewed by Sid Roth, who has a program called “It’s Supernatural”, and believes in absolutely everything without testing it to scripture.

In New Age teaching the false holy spirit becomes the predominant player, he replaces Jesus Christ. The false holy spirit operates through your Third Eye that has been opened through unbiblical practices; he connects you to ‘god’, he gives you revelations, visions and dreams.  Retha states on page 1 that the “Holy Spirit”  is her best friend, instead of mentioning Jesus Christ as being her best friend.

Retha McPherson admits that she was a carnal Christian before the accident that left her son Aldo brain damaged.  In other words she professed to be a Christian but was no Christian at all.

I was a churchgoer and a member of a renewal congregation, but we were spiritually dead. There was a void in me and a I didn’t know how to fill it.”  pg 11

Again on pg 27 she states of herself and her husband,

I don’t mean to discredit  my husband when I say this, but both he and I were spiritually dead and until that point we’d never had such experiences in the Holy Spirit” pg 27

As an unsaved ‘professing’ Christian who has been conned by Satan into following a false Christianity it is easy to see how they would fall for the experiences the false holy spirit gave them.

We do not know all the kinds of New Age teachings Retha was getting involved in before the accident, mostly she does not mention all of it, but one thing is for sure, she was sure into something occult orientated because what happened to her the night of the car accident did not come from the God the bible.

There is a terrible doctrine doing it’s rounds and it’s gaining momentum that states that you need to symbolically sacrifice your life, your kids your family, whatever, to Jesus Christ in order to get saved or in order for Jesus Christ to accept you fully. You find yourself constantly ‘sacrificing’ yourself to God for your salvation never attaining any peace.

Retha McPherson said, “I had to live through a terrible tragedy and huge suffering, before I was finally willing to sacrifice everything, including my son to God.” pg 5

and again Retha thinks that we lay our lives down as a living sacrifice to Jesus, she says.

Jesus is coming for a spotless Bride: those who will lay down their lives as a living sacrifice to Him.” pg 6

This is totally unbiblical, nowhere in the bible are you to ‘sacrifice yourself or our children to Jesus Christ in order to get saved.  Jesus Christ is our sacrifice, He laid down His life for us, His blood washes away our sins.

The Holy Spirit does not purify with fire but with water, the Kundilini false holy spirit purifies with fire, she says,

I tried to quench my thirst with all sorts of things like perfectionism, fame, wealth and achievement, But, now that the fire of the Holy Spirit has purified me from inside out…” pg 6  She quotes 1 Cor. 3:13 and says that this verse “teaches us that the works of each person will be tested by fired and the fire will be reveal the character and worth of the work each one has done.” pg 7

Actually no, this verse means this:  “Every man’s work shall be made manifest.” This is at the judgment seat of Christ, the BEMA seat.  Believers will stand before Jesus Christ.  “For the day [that is, the day of Christ] shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire” – Jesus Christ is going to judge everything by His standards, not ours, so there will be purging, a testing fire of divine approval, discernment, and righteousness.  “And the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.”  Jesus Christ will try and test you works of what SORT, not how much, but what sort.  There may be much that amounts to very little, but “of what sort it is.” that is what counts.  Our hearts are made manifest before God.

Retha McPherson then says, “when you are baptised in the Holy Spirit, and receive ‘it’s fire, you’ll experience the fullness of God” pg 7.

Again this is not true and a misinterpretation of scripture.

Matthew 3:11 v 12  “Indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

John says that Jesus will baptise you with the Holy Spirit (for believers) and fire (for non believers) NOT the Holy Spirit AND fire or the Holy Spirit IS fire.  John carries on saying that Jesus will gather His wheat into the barn BUT burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.  Fire is judgement, Jesus Christ saves those who accept Him and judges those who don’t.

God speaks to Retha McPherson.

Even though Retha admits she and her family are spiritually dead, she tell us that God speaks to her.  She says,

while sitting on a beach on day, God spoke to me and said, Retha, the Lion of Judah lives within you.” pg 11.

1) Well now, this is impossible if you are spiritually dead, 2) Jesus does not live inside us if you are not born again; this is a New Age concept of the ‘Christ within’ 3) The Holy Spirit should be living in her if she was saved but she was not saved by her own admissions.  So this ‘god’ is telling her that the Cosmic Christ abides in her.

Then God speaks to her again, and says, “Retha, I want your life,” pg 12.  Retha answers, “Lord my heart has been yours for years now, What do you mean?” God replies, “I don’t want your heart.  You’ve given it to many men before.  I want your entire life; your being; your very essence.”  pg. 12

Wow, let’s just stop right there.  What kind of satanic nonsense is this?   “You’ve given your heart to many men before so I don’t want it, I want your life?’  What this god is saying is that he is not interested in her ‘heart’, he want’s her ‘soul’.   What does the bible say about the human heart?)

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Matthew 15:16-20  And he said, “Are you also still without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”

What is in a mans heart is what defines him, if you have Jesus Christ in your heart, then you are saved, if you do not have Jesus Christ in you heart/life then your heart is wicked and unrepentant.

Aldo as a child before the accident

Retha McPherson is not sure if Aldo was saved before the accident, she says,

He was just an everyday teenager. Did he server God? Well he attended a youth chuch regularily and had been on a youth camp right before the accident happened.  In fact, when he’d returned from the camp, he confirmed that he had accepted Christ as he personal Savior.”  pg 12

Retha then tells us that when Aldo was 4 years old,

God gave us a prophetic promise through a black man, Louis Maphungu, that we would have another baby and that it would be a boy“.  pg 13

I just have to interject here but I find it amazing that people can fall for such silly con-artistry as there is always a 50% chance the prophecy would come true.  Just by believing in silly divination such as this you have opened a door for Satan in your life.  Anyhow Retha gives us the answer as to whether Aldo was saved or not, on pg 79.

Aldo says, “Jesus wrote the Word on my heart when I was in heaven with Him. I was dead, but God came and blew His Holy Spirit into me, and I was alive!“.

So before he was in the car accident he was not saved as he did not have the ‘holy spirit’ in him, when he was unconscious and on his trip to heaven, that is when he supposedly receive the ‘holy spirit’.  It is interesting to note that the idea of God blowing the Holy Spirit into someone is an occult idea and stems back to the garden of Eden when Gnostics believed that God blew His Holy Spirit into Adam, thereby making him a ‘God’.

God breathed the Holy Spirit into Adam

Retha McPherson says that.  “The moment you are reborn, God blows the Spirit of faith into your nose, just like He blew physical life into the body of man when He first created Him. It’s Ruah (literally breath of God) that gives life” [Emphasis added] pg 149-150.

I mentioned above that this is Gnostic teaching that God blew the Holy Spirit in Adam thereby creating a man that was on par with god.  Notice Retha says,

“…..first created Him.” ‘Him’ with a capitol letter, denoting that Adam was Divine.

I had no idea and neither is it mentioned in the Bible that Adam was a God.  This is occult teaching.

Genesis 2:7   And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

So, what is the breath of God? It is the Spirit of God, given to man to bring him to life both physically and spiritually.  The ‘breath of life’ is not the Holy Spirit.  God breathed into man His own Spirit. This means that God has connected Himself to man in the most intimate way possible. Man is related to God and has the same breath as God, the breath of life.  Since God has breathed His Spirit into each one of us when we are born (not born again), we should long for Him with every breath to be born again (Psalm 42:1). For as Jesus, our Lord and our Savior, has promised: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” (Matthew 5:6).

Further, the breath of God is the life of God. And the life of God is life that lives on and on, the power to live eternally. God’s breath is not temporal; the breath of God lives forever. As such, we, the recipients of the breath of life, will live eternally. The only question is where will we live? Heaven or Hell.

The car accident of Retha Retha McPherson and Aldo McPherson

Now we do not wish ill on anyone, and it was a tragedy that befell the McPherson family.  However for the sake of the Christian world out there we need to analyse what happened   After the car accident Retha and her husband found their son Josh crying and they were relieved, but they could not find Aldo, it was dark and they searched and searched and search, frantically.

Retha McPherson says, “The Spirit of God led me to the other side of the highway.” pg 19 where she stumbled over Aldo’s body.

A vehicle was making its way towards her and she stood up,

I realized that my whole body was strangely shaking; convulsing.  Then a warmth enveloped me and a supernatural peace that I couldn’t explain filled me, amidst all the fear, pain and anxiety.” pg 20

What happened to Retha in that moment when she stood up, is that all the trauma from the accident activated the Kundilini spirit at the base of her spine.  She started to strangely shake and convulse, as the serpent moved up her spine she felt heat and was engulfed in warmth and she felt blissfully at peace.  How do we know this was Kundalini, carry on reading to find out.

What was Retha really practicing and reading before the accident for a strange ‘god’ to speak to her audibly like that (without her being saved) asking her for life?  One can only imagine what she was delving into; New Age materials, possibly even Yoga.

A black man got out his car by Aldo’s body and started shouting,

“In the name of Jesus Christ, this boy will live! He will not die,  This boy will live and he will not die! He just kept shouting on this affirmation“. pg 21

Retha McPherson was confused and asked,

Where are you, Lord”  His answer? “Look at that man. Right now, he is my hands and my feet.” pg 22

So the black man is God?  Is this biblical?

1 John 4:1-3   1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Retha I am sorry but by biblical standards you deny that Jesus Christ is the son of God.  Jesus Christ is the ONLY God to come as Flesh, to say that God had entered this black man and was now operating through his flesh is unbiblical.

Retha McPherson’s Supersition

Aldo was in the hospital,

Retha says “But when I left the hospital that Friday night, I was afraid to go home; afraid that Aldo would die.  Job 3:25  warns us that whatever you fear, will happen to you.  I know from personal experience this is true.” Is this true?   Retha then quotes 2 Cor. 10:5 and says, “I have since had to confess and bind all these fears and thoughts in the name of Jesus“. pg 25

Job 3:25  For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

This has nothing to do with superstition.  Job was being tested by Satan, and Satan used the things he feared most against him to try and turn him against God this was a once off situation that happened to Job, pre New Testament.  Jesus Christ has died on the cross for the whole world, and has taken the keys of life and death from Satan.

2 Corinthians 10:1-9   1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you: 2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s. 8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: 9 That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.

This has nothing to do with fear and binding fear. This is Word of Faith doctrine and misinterpretation of scripture.   The genuine explanation of this scripture is as follows: We do not behave in a fleshly way, but our weapons, which are those given us by the Holy Spirit, are “mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”  This verse speaks about the minister, he is not sent to preach wishy washy eloquent tickle your ears sermons, but to give people the Word of God, the Truth and nothing but the Truth, and the effect this Truth has on the conscience of the people brings their very thoughts into captivity to the obedience of Jesus Christ.  When the minister speaks, all human reasoning should come to an end because God speaks, the people should be in readiness to repent and that there may be absolute subjection to His will.

Mantra / Word repetition

It’s becoming more clear that Retha McPherson was definitely involved in some kind of New Age teaching that involved Mantras.

mantra is a sound, syllable, word, or group of words that is considered capable of “creating transformation” (cf. spiritual transformation). Its use and type varies according to the school and philosophy associated with the mantra.    Mantras (DevanāgarÄ« à¤®à¤¨à¥à¤¤à¥à¤°) originated in the Vedic tradition of India, becoming an essential part of the Hindu tradition and a customary practice within Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism.   —>

At the hospital Retha speaks to Aldo and tells him that she can see that he is dying, she says,

“I tell him that I’m letting him go so that he can go to Jesus…” pg 25  Aldo replies and says, “Mommy don’t say it. Speak life over me, Speak life“. pg 25

Retha says “I remembered how we would say goodbye every morning when we went to school.  With his backpack over his shoulder, I’d ask him what the password was, and he’d say, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Love you. We would repeat this ritual when he came home again in the afternoon….” pg 25-26  “In my dream I then said, “You will live, and you’ll have life to the full,” “I kept on repeating it until it became a refrain.” pg 26

What does the bible say about rituals and repeating words?

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

But it get’s worse…Retha says that the verse John 10:10 comes to her,

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” she says, “I didn’t realize it at the time, but I wasn’t merely uttering words, I was speaking life into his spirit”. pg 26

Ghasp!!  You were what Retha?  Does your incantation have the power to bring someone back to life? But hang on you quote John 10:10 where the ‘life‘ that is mentioned in that verse is spiritual life.  Who gives us life?

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

According to Retha McPherson , Aldo is getting life into his spirit, by way of her.

Retha says that, “I declared that he would have life abundance. Tinus agrees that we would only speak life from then on. God tells us in Prov. 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”  pg 28

Proverbs 18:20-21  20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Oh no, Retha the real meaning of this verse is this; Sinful words will lead to death, righteous words bring life.  Words seldom fall idly to the ground. The Christians should be encouraged to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ as he steadily moves his way through life. He may be assured that “with the increase of his lips shall he be filled” But if their words are evil, the harvest is just as certain; and it is well known that weeds flourish where nothing fruitful cannot grow. The man of unholy lips will find abundant result from his gossip and will as surely as the righteous man “eat the fruit thereof”.

Contemplative Prayer to enter God’s Presence

Often we give up too quickly in prayer. Instead we should perservere in prayer until we enter into His presence so that we may receive a Rhema-word (a living word) that will change our lives'” pg 73  and,

We can only live a victorious life, if we remain in His presence every minute of the day.  The only way we can be constantly aware of His Holy presence, is to pray continuously.” pg 82

Throughout the book Retha McPherson constantly speaks about entering God’s presence, but this is not the Biblical understanding  genuine Christians have come to understand regarding God’s presence, no, Retha is entering God’s presence through Contemplative Prayer / Meditation.

Contemplative spirituality is an extremely demonic and dangerous practice for any person who desires to live a Christian life.  Contemplative prayer does not involve contemplating while you pray.  Quote the opposite in fact.  Yes, the Bible tells us to pray using our minds (1 Corinthians 14:15), and this is also meant as contemplation. But praying with your mind and the unscriptural practices of Contemplative prayer are two different things.

Contemplative prayer begins with Centering prayer where the person will focus on a word or a phrase and repeats that word over and over for a period of time. As we have notice above, Retha has shown us in her book that she is into repeating Mantras. The purpose of repeating words is to clear one’s mind of outside negativity so that God’s voice may be more easily heard. After completing the centering prayer, the person is to sit still and wait and listen for direct word from God, and then feel and enter His presence.

This might sound innocent, but it is an occult practice and you will connect with something other than God.  The bible describes how one should pray, and it does not involve, ‘waiting’ and’ silence’  “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God..” (Philippians 4:6)and  “23And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” (John 16:23-24; . Jer 29:12; Matt 7:7; Matt 21:22; Mark 11:24; Luke 11:9) .   These verses clearly show us that biblical prayer is comprehensible communication with God, and not an arcane, mystical meditation.

Contemplative prayer is designed that the person who practices is will ultimately have a mystical experience with God (not the God of the Bible, but a god). Mysticism, however, is purely an emotional practice, and does not rely upon facts at all.  The Bible on the other hand is the Truth and we can rely on it. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. ” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).  Everything we know about God is based on fact because it comes from the Word of God.  The moment you start to trust Gnosis or experimental knowledge over Biblical knowledge you place yourself outside the commandments of Scripture and you disobey God.   “Christian” Contemplative meditation is no different from the meditation used in New Age cults and that of Eastern religions.  The most avid supporters embrace a spirituality which promotes that all religions (all paths) lead to the same God, where the Bible states, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”  (John 14:6).

Another way to enter into God’s presence is through Soaking prayer which is another esoteric practice. It focuses on obtaining a spiritual experience by seeking out the presence of God and then resting in God’s presence. This is done by playing some gentle worship songs or soaking worship music, either sitting or lying down, and praying short, simple prayers for an extended period of time, the same as with Contemplative meditation, keeping your mind free of other thoughts – removing negative thoughts. At the point when you sense God’s presence through some type of manifestation like tingling skin, a sensation of heat or cold, or even a gentle wind seemingly blowing through your body, you are to just “soak” in that presence.  Soaking starts off innocently, but quickly deteriorates into a trance-like meditative state.

All forms of Contemplative prayer as it has been modernized into the modern-day prayer movement, is unbiblical and should definitely be avoided at all costs.

Retha says, “When you’re surrounded by His loving presence  you’ll never feel alone.  After a while, you’ll be so tuned into Him that you’ll feel His presence 24-hours a day.  His love will engulf you like a mighty wave and you’ll need nothing more.” pg 116-117

As you can see this presence is not the biblical presence of God that is mentioned in the Bible by a mystical presence.

Dreams and visions of Retha McPherson

Retha McPherson says, “I didn’t know that God still spoke to His children in dreams today. And yet, He does.  He speaks to us through His Word, through dreams, visions, nature and people. In fact, God is continuously speaking to us; we are just not always listening; we’re not tuned into Him, and cannot hear the soft voice of the Holy Spirit whispering to us.” pg 26

Firstly, in the Old Testament God spoke to His people via dreams, visions and prophecies.

Secondly, in the New Testament, the Holy Spirit that abides in born again Christian speaks to us and points us to the Word of God.

Retha has told us numerous times that she and her husband are spiritually dead, there has been no conversion, no real acceptance of Jesus Christ in their lives, therefore by their own admission the Holy Spirit has not come to abide in them.  So what is speaking to Retha? What is giving her dreams and visions? What is the source of all her strange unbiblical revelations?  Certainly not the God of the Bible.

Thirdly, there will come a time again during the tribulation when God will pour out His Spirit on His people and they will dream, have visions, prophecy, etc.  See this article:  –> Your Sons and Your Daughters Will Prophesy, But Not Yet…

Fourthly, God does not ‘speak’ to us through nature.  Nature is not a divination tool.

There are verses that say:

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

Psalms 19:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

This tells us that mankind has no excuse to deny that God exist because one just has to look at the creation of the world, it can be clearly seen that is a miracle beyond all understanding and a God had to have made it all.  Does God speak to us through nature? No.  This is a new age concept, to look at nature and imagine God speaking to us through his creation.  Yes we can marvel at nature and the heavens and learn from them, but to say God speaks to a person through nature, is not biblical, you may as well put tea leaves in a teacup and read them – it’s divination.

The Bible vs Aldo’s message

She compares this book to the level of the Bible,

You are not holding a here book in your hands today. You are looking at a message straight from the Father’s heart to everyone who reads it.” pg 6

Aldo also says,

“God sent me back to tell the world that Jesus lives!  We have to be obedient and speak life”  pg 29

This is very strange, why would God spend thousands of years collecting information from history to write into a Holy Spirit inspired book, deemed to be the ONE and ONLY Word of God also known as the Bible, written by the Apostles (who where martyred for their faith) .  In this Bible we have hundreds and thousands of verses that tells us that Jesus Christ LIVES.  In fact the Bible does not just tell us that Jesus Christ lives, but the Word itself IS Jesus Christ in published form.  The Bible tells us that He was there from the very beginning (Genesis), the prophecies of His coming throughout the OT, His virgin birth, His life, His ministry, His gospel, His crucifixion, His death, His burial, His resurrection, His ascension, His seat at the right hand of the Father in heaven, and His glorious return to conquer the Anti-Christ and set up His millennial kingdom (Revelation).

Aldo’s message says what?  Jesus lives?  We know that because the bible tells us so.  The problem is that Aldo’s message comes from non other than Satan leading people to ‘another Jesus‘ one that does not understand bible scripture, one that does not want your heart, but want’s your life, one that want’s you to sacrifice your life to him on top of that.

Retha McPherson says again, “I’m not the one writing this it, after all, God is.” pg 45

This book is apparently inspired like the Bible, what a blasphemous thing to think.

Aldo says on page 71, “You are the reason why He send me back, I didn’t want to come back, but He sent me back so that you can be reason for His return.

Apparently the Bible is not capable of preparing people for Jesus Christ’s return.  Aldo is acting like another little Christ, sent by God to tell people that Christ is alive.

On page 163 Aldo says, “God will blow His breath into this book as you read it, you will feel His Spirit loving you; showing you the way.”

Thank goodness I used my brain when I read this book and tested it to the Word of God.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus shows us the way to the Father, not this book.  The bible is the inspired Word of God and the Final Authority on all matters, not this book.

The Prophetess approaches Retha McPherson and Aldo McPherson

Retha McPherson says, “The day before the operation, a woman came to see us at the hospital. Love radiated from her face. “I’m a prophetess,”  pg 29.

Retha could not resist the love that was radiating from her. Her name was Terthia *(not her real name).  Terthia tells Retha about a Nigerian pastor [* see further down] who apparently came back from the dead after being in the morgue for 4 days.  What a laugh I thought, there are no cases of people being raised from the dead.  Only Disciples and Apostles who were commissioned by Jesus personally could raise people from the dead and they themselves are all dead. Anyone who says they raised someone from the dead is lying and anyone who says they were raised from the dead is lying.  Anyone who says they are an Apostle is lying because there were not alive 2000 years ago and commissioned by Jesus Christ himself.  Anyone who wants to prove me otherwise can provide proof here:  —> Have You or a Loved One Been Raised From the Dead?

Retha prays with the prophetess and prophetess tells her that there are somethings she needs to confess, Terthia says,

God has shown her that I had done some fire walking”.  pg 30.

Woohaaaaa hold yer horsies right there folks.  Are we getting closer to find how Retha managed to activate her Kundilini the night of the accident?  The origin of firewalking spans over several cultures, but we will focus on the Hindus.  The ritual calls on the Hindu Goddess Draupadi and supposedly she cools the coals as you walk over them.  Now Westerners have taken the ‘demonic’ rituals out of firewalking and instead the promoters…

“give long motivational speeches and the people need to do tasks to prepare themselves for the firewalk, some of these tasks include meditation before hand.  The occult explanation is based upon the concepts of ‘heightened body energy‘ and an ‘enhanced state of consciousness‘.  The object of firewalking is for the person to attain power. Where is he/she getting their power from?  Certainly not from within themselves.  The power comes from outside and enters the person.  The person thinks they have been profoundly impacted by the firewalking experience to the point where they experience a small taste of the Kundilini ecstasy which they can not explain.” See article: —>Firewalking – Walking into a Whole Lotta Trouble.

If the Prophetess is not from God how could she know Retha did firewalking?  Well Satan knows each and every one of our lives, what we do, etc., In fact he was there assisting Retha in the firewalk.   Another reason to know this prophetess was not from God is this, the prophetess told Retha to confess, not repent.  It’s two completely different things.  Roman Catholics confess their sins to a priest – confessing is telling someone what you did wrong.  Repenting is asking for forgiveness.  So here we had Satan come along and trick Retha into thinking this prophetess was from God, but she was not, she was one of his workers, working under a FALSE Christianity.

This false prophetess tells Retha that “There is a battle raging in the supernatural realm for Aldo’s life, because God has placed a calling on his life” pg 31

That’s peculiar, why would Satan say something like this?  We know from earlier that Aldo was not saved before the accident. What happens next show us just how great a deceiver Satan is, how he has tricked Retha and her husband hook line and sinker into believing he is God running the show.

After the false prophetess left, Retha stayed at Aldo’s bedside until midnight when she too decided to go to sleep.  It’s was Aldo’s operation the next day.  Retha says,

“I woke up at two a.m. to the sound of a roaring lion running loose in the hallways of the hospital.  The sound of it’s roaring was terrifying and it’s fury filled my head.”  pg 31  The nursing sisters later told Retha “that Tethia had come back to pray for Aldo while I was sleeping.  The alarms and monitors were going off non-stop while she prayed from him.  At once I realized the Lion of Judah had battled against the roaring lion for my son’s life, and He won.” pg 31 [Emphasis added]

Really, what a load of nonsense.  I don’t doubt that it happened, but none of it was of God.

But this is where it gets totally out of control…

Retha decides she needs to starts praying for the first time in “spirits and in truth” pg 32

and immediately God answered her in an audible voice! Imagine that.

He says, “Take you shoes from your feet, because your’re standing on hold ground“. pg 32

1) The real God of the Bible does not speak to people in an audible voice, 2) where is the Holy Spirit in her life – He should be speaking to her in a soft gentle whisper 3) “holy ground”  seriously? It’s amazing how Satan drags Roman Catholicism into everything, he just can’t leave it out if he tried.  Retha tries to attribute this ‘holy ground’ scenario to the time when Moses removed his shoes in Exodus 3:5 – but that was the OT and the Old Covenant, we are now in the New Testament with a New Covenant.  Retha wa’ts to be under law which is a curse [Galatians 3:1-10], Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law.

Matthew 5:17   Jesus said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”

The apostasy is in full swing. Its gotten to the stage that I am scared to even step out of my house in case I came across yet another wonky Christian. Debra I thank you for the article which will have many deceived Christians spitting nails. The time has come when we who seek Gods truth through his word stand alone in our battle for the truth. Its getting harder and harder to find Christians who have the same spirit of truth. I don’t believe this Jezebel woman and whats more I do feel for her son and husband. As for Sid. He can find his name under Mathew 7 verse 15. Thank you again for loving the truth.

You are right about “Retah” (or Retha). I wonder why her name is spelled RETAH/RETHA? She is one depraved woman (morally corrupt, wicked) to be sure. Came to my attention only yesterday and after my first comment I checked her website – WOW what a dangerous place!! Her affiliations alone gets the red flags popping up. A short look into her domain. Do not recommend spending much time on her website. It is sickening…….
Her “List of Prayers” show an atrocious (wicked, hellish) side of where she comes from. She actually prays to be released from what she is still practising openly. Some examples are: “Jezebel Prayer” – She “prays” for forgiveness from – “I have tried to control others through a religious mask knowledge, secretiveness, works, long and empty prayers, ‘UNIQUE’ experiences and super-spirituality”. She thus uses the “unique heaven experience” of Aldo as her foundational ministry experience? (capitalization added)
Her “prayer” re: “Dealing with the Evil Altars of Household Wickedness” FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS!
I release the thunder of God into the demonic storehouses where household witchcraft agents have locked up my wealth and riches. Let the doors of such storehouses be opened by the the thunder of God.
I bind all the evil gatekeepers of those evil storehouses. Declare confusion upon them now, in the name of Yeshua.
By the strong and mighty arm of the Lord, I withdraw my wealth and riches from demonic storehouses of household witchcraft. Let my wealth and riches manifest now, in the name of Yeshua.
I bind and overthrow any evil strongman blocking me from accessing my spiritual storehouse or warehouse, in the name of Yeshua.
Every evil padlock locking my storehouse or warehouse in the spiritual realm, be broken into pieces by the hammer of the Lord.
O God Jehovah, command Your angels to release all my blessings to me now, in the name of
I recover all my miracles and breakthroughs that have been stolen by agents of household
witchcraft, in the name of Yeshua.”

Would this be a prayer that you would put on a website for others to pray? Is she actually showing us her desires – methinks so!

Retha’s prayers are an echo of GODTV’s health, wealth and properity bogus. She is not praying. She is cursing those who supposedly prevent her from the riches in her so-called storehouses. Disgusting!

Agreed! Her list of “Prayers” on her website sometimes start out as prayers, then switch to curses that are pronounced “in the name of Yeshua”. The overriding theme is one of “a little god” commanding the true God to act on her behalf. Pure arrogance and self worship!

I just lost my fiancee because of this “new age teachings” and she so closely follows Retha, Perry Stone,….and read books on how to point out demons and so on. I am not comfortable with these things and I can not speak to her about my views as she hits me with Bible versus that supports her views and I do not know the Bible by heart and can not do the same. Would it have been possible to go ahead witb the marriage and made it work out with our different views of religion?

Tom Lessing (Discerning the World)

Indeed, is is a very heartbreaking experience for anyone to lose a loved one to false teaching. Nonetheless, a Christian (I assume you are saved) should always endeavor to seek God’s will and willingly and unconditionally do his will, especially in matters of the heart such as engagement and marriage. The only thing you can do is to ask God in prayer to show you his will in this matter. Although it may be very hard for you, you need to stand on neutral ground which means that you will have to let God decide whether it is his will for you to marry your fiancee or not. An example of a prayer may be something like the following, “Lord Jesus, I am willing to bow to your will whatever you may decide for me. Although I find it very hard to see myself living without . . ., I know the most important thing is not our relationship in holy matrimony but her relationship with You for all eternity. Therefore I ask that you open her eyes to the dangers of the doctrines in which she is presently so engrossed and to convict her of the consequences if she should continue in them. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord.”

This article is not the truth—PEOPLE MUST NOT just accept this.
I met Rheta and I know that she is pure…She love Jesus…There is nothing wrong for what she is doing. All I want to say is that she is winning soooooo many people over for Jesus Christ-thousands of people weekly accepts Jesus into their hearts thanks to her testimony and teachings…Why is that wrong…???
I think you guys have this wrong!!! Usually the satan will try and put a stop to people that sacrifice everything for God and winning people over for Jesus-Like Rhetha. The satan is trying everything in his power to stop her because she works for Jesus Christ. You guys must watch out that you are not that “STOP”… This what you are doing is exactly what satan wants to happen to them. Nothing can stop them. They have Jesus in their hearts…Rheta were at our church for a whole weekend and nobody said this straw that you are talking about-and there is alot of mature newborn christians in our church with prophetic ministries that also won’t agree with what you are saying…
I prayed before I read this-and I asked God to show me whats wrong about all of this or abour Rhetha …
and it’s not Rheta…
I’m scared for you guys-
read below-

28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit

The Holy spirit talkes through Rheta and you guys blaspheme against the Holy Spirit if you say it’s satan speaking through her!!! It doesn’t mean if you THINK you are sure about something you can go on and say this about someone…rather keep it for yourself. People of God don’t have to argue about this… As a matter of fact-Jesus is love so if his in you-you wouldn’t want to argue about it…and it looks like that’s all you are doing on this site. I truly think you want to stop the good work that she is doing—how many people are you winning for Jesus daily…??? You serve the same God…Or I hope so for you guys…
If you want to find something wrong-you can find something wrong everywhere and in everything!!!

I really can’t see or hear the love of Jesus in your article or in your comments- your answers are hard and judgemental… you don’t have a soft spirit in you…or so it looks like…
People that has the love of Jesus in them will answer with His love…He is a gentleman and is also gentle on his children and will answer with softness- who speaks through you???

How sure are you she is winning over thousands of people every week to Jesus? Could she not be winning over thousands of people every week to another Jesus? (2 Corinthians 11:4).

You accuse us of baspheming against the Holy Spirit. Remember, to sin against the Holy Spirit also means to attribute to God which is not from Him. (Isaiah 5:20). And that’s precisely what you are doing by saying she is winning thousands of souls every week to Jesus. That’s not what the Bible teaches.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)

Have you noticed the little word “few?” And yet you say she is winning thousands upon thousands to Christ just about every week.

Many of the things Colton describes he allegedly saw in heaven are mere fables and not the truth.

Yes, Jesus is love but He is also righteousnes and truth and if you don’t teach people the truth but sheer lies, then you don’t love Jesus or your fellowman. Your love is then a false love.

Do you really want to hear something hard? How about this:

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8-9)

And in case you do not know who wrote this. It is Paul of Tarsus who received the Gospel directly from Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:16)

Your idea of true biblical love is grossly distorted. It’s not love but deception at its very best. Repent before it’s too late. How’s that for true love???

Would you say the following pronouncments eminate from a soft spirit and that it was the Spirit of Christ who spoke through the persons?

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? (Matthew 23:33).

Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (Jude 1:11-13).

And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. (Luke 13:32).

Deborah…so you say that Jesus will take me to the bible where He is…He speaks to us through the bible yes but what about the Holy Spirit.. if Jesus is in me He speaks in me through the Holy Spirit… so yes I will get a feeling if something is wrong or right…or why did Jesus left us the Holy Spirit? It seems like you have alot of time on your hands…so go find the verses yourself… and if I serve the wrong God apparently why is Jesus taking so good care of us…He saved me from a horrible life so I have seen the work of Jesus in my own life and in Other peoples life… I will go read the the scripture in my own time and in my own language but I definitely understand it diffrent from you and I know I dont serve a false god… Jesus has done more than enough in my life to know I serve a amazing and a true God…

[deleted by DTW – if you want to get nasty I will delete you comments – you have a choice MS to follow the truth or a lie, you have free will, use it, I will not quote scripture to you anymore. bye bye]

Please don’t let satan tear brothers and sisters apart but be patient with all…for some don’t understand everything, we are not called to understand everything but to have faith in God, to believe in Jesus Christ whom He sent and follow Him…His Spirit will lead to all truth, don’t discredit everyone especially when it comes to their testimonies this is what lead them to Him…too many people are falling for the biggest tactic of satan and that is to divide like he did with Adam and Eve when they blamed one another instead of taking responsibility of their sin.
Amen Love you all
May Jesus Christ bless you with peace

Tom Lessing (Discerning the World)

You should decide whether you want to obey Jesus or your own insights. Jesus commanded us:

Take heed that no man deceive you. (Matthew 24:4)

Or do you prefer to see yourself and others deceived for the sake of a false love? This is the biggest tactic of Satan – to deceive God’s children and have them believe it’s OK because it supposedly is the lovable thing to do.

Shame on you!

Please forgive me DTW. I was about to type in something like yeah to go, or something keep on shining the light on darkness, but something took control of my hand. Please don’t think that I was making this up. It true that some force took hold of my hand.

I used to think that I was truly saved, but when I look back on all the things in the past( such as some one lift me up and put me down, seeing strange things in my food, some light (whatever true light or false) keep knocking me out and seeing heaven, hell, angels, devils, and Jesus). Sometime my hand seem to move on it own, as in something or someone is moving my arm/hand. I also sometime move like a snake. Please pray for me and for those who are falsely convert.

I have to say, I see allot that you are saying, but a few things bother me….

Firstly she is Afrikaans….I think something got lost in translation, as an Afrikaans person myself I do not read her book in the “way” you do.

Secondly, I cant believe you say that God doesn’t speak to people through dreams anymore? Where in the Bible does it say that? I dream ALLOT, and sometimes God reveals something to me, other times He wants to warm me about something happening in the spirit that we have to pray about as a family. So you say that we do not dream anymore because its from the Old Testament, and that with the coming of Jesus Christ that we should only focus on the word? What about people that can not write or read? Either because they were never educated (like allot of People in AFRICA experience) or they have a disability? So God do not speak to them at all? They do not experience Him through any other way than the Bible?

I do believe everything should be tested against the word of God. But I can not help to see how you so ever promptly say that Retah is misinterpreting the word….and then YOU have the RIGHT interpretation? How do you know? Were you there when the word was written?

I don’t think it is strange that there are so many against them….aren’t that always the way it is when God sends someone to be HIS hands and feet on earth?

You also seem to forget to extract one important thing from the Bible….and that is that we should not judge others. That is only left up to God on Judgement day. They way you judge others is the way that you will be judged.

IF she is so BAD….why teach people about God, Heaven, how to life your live to get eternal live? Why teach people about the work of Satan and how he gets gateways into your life? Why would she want people to repent that and protect that with the blood of Jesus?

I think everyone who just had an encounter with Jesus Christ Himself, and really turn their lives around are bound to make mistakes. I think it is very unfair to judge her on her first book. Have you read any of the other two books? Any of her other teachings? Any of her other blogs posted on youtube?

May God soften your heart, may you go on to read and listen to other teaching from her and really without a judgemental heart give an honest opinion.

I am sure when you just started your journey with God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, you were not perfect either….not everything is occult and not everyone was perfect before they started their lives with God. Even Jesus had people follow him even after they were possessed by demons….

And here are proof in the Bible that other people after Jesus raised people from the dead:
In Joppa Peter resurrects a generous woman named Tabitha (Acts 9:36-41).
Paul raises from the dead a young man named Eutychus who fell from a window (Acts 20:7-12).

The last known person in the Bible raised from the dead was the apostle Paul himself after being stoned by an unruly mob. During Paul’s very first missionary journey, Jews from Pisidian Antioch and Iconium arrived in Lystra and succeeded in turning the people against Paul and Barnabas. Paul is soon STONED and has his dead body dragged out of the city. Some believers find Paul’s body and as they stand around it Paul comes back to life!

20. But while the disciples were standing around him, he arose; and he went into the city with them. (Acts 14)

Don’t limit God to your understanding and interpretation of the Bible. And why cant God use people today as he did in the Bible to proclaim His good works? To be His hands and feet on earth? To tell people what they saw and tell people that Jesus is alive and that he is coming soon? didn’t God use people in the Bible that way even after Jesus left the earth? Didn’t John get a vision from God after Jesus left the earth about the end times? About the things to come? I am sure Revelation was written by John? I am also sure that he saw what God wanted him to see and warn people about what is to come….

I believe in my heart that God uses people more and more every day. Nothing wrong with that and definitely Biblical.

Hope you see my point as well…

Tom Lessing (Discerning the World)

We are commanded to judge all things (not the persons but the things they say and proclaim).

1 Corinthians 2:15 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

15 But the spiritual man tries all things [he [a]examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him].

If you do not evaluate, discern or examine the things people say ion the light of God’s Word, you are not a mature Christian but still immature.

Ephesians 4:14 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of [a]unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.

Hi Deborah, Why didn’t you answer Chany about the Catholic faith she is in ?

God can work in any supernatural way by His Spirit the way He wants to work. .He is God of the super natural

Tom Lessing (Discerning the World)

God may work in any way He wants but He will never work in a ways Satan wants Him to work. Let me give you an example.

Jesus could very easily have changed stones into bread if He wanted to while He was tempted of the devil in the wilderness. You know as well as I that He could have done it without any effort but refused to do so because the devil wanted Him to do so.

Elvis Munetsi

Labeling others as false teachers did not start today but it started long back. The Pharisees, Scribes, Sadducee, and High Priests all labelled Jesus as a false teacher. They claimed to know the scriptures and used them to discredit Jesus but this did not mean that their claims were true.Your sentiments about Retah are likewise in the same vein. Your analysis about her may be wrong. Its simply based on interpretation of scriptures which again may be wrong. Jesus once told his disciples that a time would come when those that persecute you would think that they are serving God. You probably have not reached the level that Retah has reached. Jesus was criticized for saying your sins are forgiven because of the ignorance of His critics. It does not mean that every time you criticise someone you are right. Your criticism may be due to ignorance. I pray that the truth may prevail.

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
