Angus Buchan – A ‘False Bible’ in 366 Days for Men

Angus Buchan-The Bible In 365 Days For Men Of FaithAngus Buchan – A ‘False Bible’ in 366 Days for Men

It never ceases to amaze me.  Angus Buchan has now released a Bible for men, yes you heard me a BIBLE.  CUM Book stores description says;

“THE BIBLE IN 366 DAYS FOR MEN OF FAITH by popular author and evangelist Angus Buchan offers men the essence of the Bible in a single year. Key Scripture passages, from Genesis to Revelation, will enable readers to gain a better understanding of God’s Word and His love for us. It provides a concise overview of the key messages of the entire Bible.

Scripture verses are taken from the New Living Translation® and, with short inspirational thoughts written in Angus’s signature style, it will encourage daily reading of the Bible.

This pocket-sized edition, which is easy and convenient to take anywhere, is an essential resource for spiritual growth. It will strengthen every man’s faith and will inspire men to live dedicated lives to God.”  [Emphasis added] http://www.cumbooks.co.za/view/70265/the-bible-in-366-days-for-men-of-faith/

So…

Angus Buchan offers the essence of the real Bible to men in his bible? Really?  Is Angus Buchan’s bible inspired?   Why did Angus Buchan feel the need to shorten / take from God’s Bible and write his own and tell people that it’s just as good as the real thing, in fact “gain a better understanding of God’s Word” when it does not even come close.

I’ve been told this is a Devotional.  What is a Devotional? Devotionals are not biblical, in fact:

Christian devotional literature (also called devotionals or Christian living literature) is religious writing that is neither doctrinal nor theological, but designed for individuals to read for their personal edification and spiritual formation. Theologian Karl Holl has suggested that devotional literature came into full development at the time of Pietism during the second half of the 17th century  [Emphasis added]— https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_devotional_literature

A Devotional is a direct attack from Satan.  Devotionals are based on the writers personal experience of scripture and their personal spiritual ideas regarding scripture – in other words: their interpretation.  There is one gospel, one Jesus Christ, one interpretation of scripture.  Devotionals on the other hand give the writer ample leeway to play around with scripture and render it to their own interpretation.  A devotional is nothing but a story telling book based on passages of scripture made to look biblical.

Devotionals are not doctrinal or theological and are Roman Catholic.  (See here: Angus – It’s Time to Unite All Faiths under Rome)

The Word of God was there in the beginning, the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God.  The Word became Flesh.  The Word is Jesus Christ…

John 1:1,14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God  14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 1:2
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Psalms 119:89
89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Proverbs 30:5
5 Every word of God is purified; he is like a shield for those who take refuge in him.

Psalms 119:140
140 Your word is absolutely pure, and your servant loves it!

2 Timothy 3:16
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

“Angus has pulled out key Scriptures for the reader to gain a better under standing of God’s Word?”  Really?  How is this possible when every verse in the Bible needs to be read in CONTEXT within the Bible itself in order for the Bible to be understood correctly.

If you take away from the bible you are TAKING AWAY from Jesus Christ who IS the WORD.

The Bible says that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of ones own private interpretation, the Holy Spirit helps us interpret the Word of God and within the Bible there is only one Truth – not many different interpretations – yet Angus Buchan has collected key scriptures within his bible (devotional) that will help one understand the bible better, the problem is Angus Buchan gives us his interpretation.

2 Peter 1:20
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

God says you are not to add too or TAKE AWAY anything from His Word, because you alter it’s meaning. Angus’s has disobeyed God and done just that.

Deuteronomy 4:2
2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Only Satan would take anything away from the Word of God, so that people can not be saved.

Luke 8:11-12
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

“Angus bible provides a concise overview of key messages of the entire Bible.”  Really?  So Angus’s Bible is better than God’s bible as it provides KEY messages for the reader!  God’s Bible on the other hand IS THE KEY MESSAGE – one can not begin to pluck out verses and create a summarized version of smaller key messages and think you are doing the Church a favour.  You are doing a gross injustice to the church and leading people straight to hell.

Proverbs 30:6
Add thou not unto his words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Revelation 22:18
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

“Angus provides short inspirational thoughts to encourage daily reading of the Bible?”  Or is that his bible?  Which bible are we speaking about here…

Why does a man have to encourage you to read your Bible?  That should be the work of the Holy Spirit (if He abides in you).

Here, Paul reminds the followers of Jesus Christ how they had welcomed the message of Jesus Christ with much joy given to them by the Holy Ghost in spite of severe suffering. And John mentions that the reason by which we know that Christ lives in us is by the Spirit  that God gave us (1 John 3:24).  How could the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives demonstrate to us that Christ lives in us?  Well we perceive His communication and His interaction with us and He is the One that edges us to read the Word of God as He is the One who illuminates scripture for us.

1 Thessalonians 1:6
6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

What Angus Buchan has done is effectively created a new gospel in his ‘bible’ because it’s not the whole council of God.

Ephesians 4:14
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

1 Timothy 4:7
7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

A little error destroys the truth completely.  Angus’s bible is nothing but leven as it does not contain the whole Truth.

Galatians 5:9
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

The Word of God tells you that you are to study the Bible, rightly dividing the Word of Truth, but this can’t be done in Angus’s bible because it does not contain the Truth.

2 Timothy 2:15
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The Word of God says that greedy men will come and make money out of you of creating and selling FALSE BIBLES.

2 Peter 2:3
3 And through covetousness [Greed] shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

“Angus’s bible is an essential resource for spiritual growth?”  Really?  So Angus’s bible has now replaced God’s Word as the meat for our spiritual growth.

Man shall not live on bread alone, but the bible says, BY EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God.  Angus Buchan has removed most of the words from the Bible to create his own devotional version that is as dead as a door nail.  People will read this bible and still be hungry.

Matthew 4:2-4
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

The Word of God is LIVING and ACTIVE – Jesus Christ is ALIVE.    Angus’s bible is not the Word of God and is therefore dead and can’t produce any growth what-so-ever. Angus’s false bible is blunt and can’t judge.

Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.

The Word of God is the helmet of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit, Angus’s false bible is neither.

Ephesians 6:17
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Angus’s bible will strengthen ever man’s faith and inspire them to live dedicated lives to God.  Really?  So Angus’s ‘word’ has now replaced the Word of God.  Angus’s bible will inspire people to live dedicated lives to God, instead of listening and being obedient to the Holy Spirit.

The Word of God is a lamp unto peoples feet and a light along that narrow path, it does not say that EXTRA BIBLICAL books are a lamp and light to people.

Psalms 119:105
105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

False teachers have crept in to seduce the masses, they will create ‘false bibles’ and the people will read these fables instead of the Word of God and follow a false Christ. The Word of God says that because of their evil doctrines and manners, God has a horrible punishment prepared for them.

Jude 1:4
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I see peter 1 .20 often misused on catholic websites. It means exactly the opposite of what they say. It means that the bible did not come from man’s own thinking but through the Holy Spirit. It does not mean that we cannot interpret what we read – which would be absurd by itself anyway. Since the Holy Spirit has given us the words they can be relied upon – but you will see on many websites anti bible believers using this scripture incorrectly.

  3. Martin Horan says:

It is absolutely astounding that anyone who has read the Bible, as Angus Buchan obviously has, would dare to alter it particularly when they claim to be speaking for God. From the first few seconds I looked at the above article the first thing that jumped to my mind was 2 Timothy 3:16.
The Scriptures given in the article ought to be well-known to any mature Christian. I just don’t get it when those who call themselves Christians think they can ignore these Scriptures. Well, the answer’s there in the last Scripture quoted.
It’s sad when people are so lacking in discernment. I had a friend who gave me Buchan’s “Faith Like Potatoes.” It made me wonder how a Christian could believe the tosh in it.
There again, there are those who claim to be Christians who get furious when the are told of the unscriptural beliefs and practices of Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar, Keneth Copeland, Billy Graham, Nicky Gumbel and the like. So I shoudn’t be surprised when a professing Christian praises Angus Buchan’s writings [2 Tim 4:3]. Nevertheless it is still depressing.
Thanks for another insightful article, Debs.

    >> The same applies for the KJV … It is NOT ‘King James”s Bible, now is it??????? so, please post another post to discuss the King James who named the Bible after himself, … duh!!!!! …

Is the King James Bible inspired or preserved?

ANSWER: The original autographs were inspired. The King James Bible is those same autographs preserved up to today.

EXPLANATION: The best way to simply describe inspiration and preservation of the Bible is as follows:
Inspiration is when God takes a blank piece of paper (papyrus, vellum, etc.) and uses men to write His words.
Preservation is when God takes those words already written and uses men to preserve them to today.
Both of these actions are DIVINE and are assured by God as recorded in
    Psalm 12:6-7.
6 “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, 0 LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

In Psalm 12:6 God assures us that His originals are perfect. Even though penned by fallible men with the heinous sins of; murder (Moses and David), adultery (David), idolatry (Solomon), and denial of the lord (Peter), God’s words are untainted by the sins of the penmen. —http://www.biblebelievers.com/Gipp/answer/gipp_answer_28.html

So just as the KJV was named after a homosexual King. It’s does not matter. The translators worked under God’s guidance and wrote the KJV; the words of the Bible are PRESERVED.

    >> What about all the new translations????? Who are you going to point fingers to with those ‘full versions’????

    >>Come on, you cant just mention one example, …

Well the NKJV is ok, the Amplified is ok for studying, but the rest are NOT OK they are bad translations.
Like The Message for instance, that is the host horrendous bible ever, it is not God’s word, that is Satan’s word.
“What about The MAXWELL Leadership Bible??? …” I don’t know of this bible.
“What about Stephan Jouberts Bible? …” Stephan Joubert is an Emergent Cosmic Christ follower, I didn’t know he has his own bible out. I would not read his bible either.
“Come on, you cant just mention one example, …” I just did mention a few.

    >> I have the Bible send to me in 4min 12sec, … FROM THE ALMIGHTY LORD GOD HIMSELF, … it’s a digital electronic Signal-Message sent to me on 17 June 2007, … you think this is a joke??? … come on, be brave enough, take me on, … (JSJGSB)!!!!!!!!

I don’t want to take you on, you seem a bit unstable. You had the Bible sent to you by God himself in 4 minutes and 12 seconds? Now look if you are saying you downloaded the Bible off the internet then so what? But if not, then okayyyy then.

    >> You you think that it was the intent of Angus Buchan to have made the Bible His own within this published book? … but instead of approaching him in this regard in person yourself, you publish this ugly post about him??? … Not so good from your side, i must say, … can I then quote the relevant scripture to you where you went wrong in all of this???? …

I don’t want to speak to him, what for, I’ve emailed him all my articles since 2008, he has not replied. He is an EVANGELIST that is supposed to know the gospel! Why should I be informing him of his grave errors? I am sure he has hundreds of well-to-do pastors that he knows that should have told him it was wrong. But I will inform the flock out there!

    >> can I then quote the relevant scripture to you where you went wrong in all of this???

please, why don’t you, if you have ever read the BIBLE, in fact see if you can find the relevant scripture from Angus’s bible 🙂 Go on, I dare you, find the scripture you want from Angus’s bible.

“you said that Angus pulled out Scripture verses for the reader to gain a better under standing of God’s Word,” I said, “Angus has pulled out key Scriptures for the reader to gain a better under standing of God’s Word? and you will see that this is what CUM books stores says, “Key Scripture passages, from Genesis to Revelation, will enable readers to gain a better understanding of God’s Word.” I am just repeating what they say.
What I am doing here is NOT writing a Bible, Boet! and I do not state that I am writing a BIBLE. I am allowed to use the Word of God (if you read your Bible, you would know this) to:

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Oh boy, let me explain, when you are ‘explaining’ something to someone you use verses out of the bible to reprove, rebuke, exhort and correct etc. Pastors when they write sermons don’t call their sermons ‘little bibles’, no. They are called sermons, and this is called an article. And this blog is called a blog or website containing many articles. As a born again Christian the Holy Spirit would chastise me left right and center if I were to even think of taking the name Bible and using it for my own writing. But thankfully I would NEVER even think of such a thing!

Why would I want to delete this post, it shows the rest of the world what TYPE of followers ANGUS produces. Ones do not follow Jesus Christ and His Bible, but follow Angus Buchan and his bible instead.

    >> Instead of supporting each other within the Body of Christ, some think they are greater than others and if I am not mistaken, I hear a few words of ‘jealousness’ in your voice, …

    >>Repent brother, … the day of judgment is closer than you think, …

I do not suppport FALSE TEACHERS who preach a false doctrine. See all articles on Angus Buchan here: http://www.discerningtheworld.com/category/pastors-teachers-speakers/a/angus-buchan-shalom-ministries/

I am a born again Christian sealed by the Holy Spirit. Your threats that ‘the day of judgment is closer than you think’ are shocking. What do you mean by this?
The FRUIT you produce as a supposed Christian is nothing but that of wanting to do me harm…

Matthew 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Now the difference between the KJV is that is was a divine translation to be preserved! Angus Buchan takes the Word of God and goes against God’s commandments to take away from it and create his own bible and even calls it a bible.

    >> why do you still use jesus in the place of Yeshua?jesus is a pagan word.

Jesus is a pagan word? LOL NO, it’s not. It is not a derivative of Zeus. Millions of people have been saved using the name of Jesus Christ!

  8. Smuggler says:

    @ Soldier with a Message . . .

Private… I think you are a little confused . . . You are supposed to be a Friend of Jesus and in His army…unless Angus has now turned into “jesus” thus commanding God’as army.

My Neighbor is also a “friend in arms” for Angus after he attended an Angus meeting where he “followed” Angus in a sinners prayer and he “proclaims” this to every one that he comes across, yet he verbally abuses/beats his wife and teenage-daughter because ANGUS said he must be the MAN in their house…

a Tree will be know by it’s fruit…

    MJ Oosthuysen wrote:

why do you still use jesus in the place of Yeshua?jesus is a pagan word.

    MJ
You must stop practicing “religion” and get into a relationship with God. You will then discover how we have been “set free” from the law. Read again Gal 2: 3-4 & Gal 5:1 and understand that Paul is warning the Galatians against “perfection in religion” and encouraging them into a relationship with God. Gal 4:1-11 & Chapter 5.
You cannot add to the perfect and finished work that Jesus did on the cross by trying to pretend to be a Hebrew speaking Jew.
If you are truly “born-again” then you will be lead by The Spirit of God and thus you will become a law abiding follower of Jesus because you want to honor your Father in Heaven.

Don’t be caught by people that twists Hos 2:15-16; Exo_23:13; Jos_23:7; Psa_16:4; Zec_13:2 and Prov 30:4. In CONTEXT these scriptures points to a change in relationship. It’s NOT about “name calling”.

  9. Smuggler says:

    @ Soldier with a Message…

Stop defending/fight for people or Preachers… rather defend and fight for the TRUTH !

    AMEN !

  10. Ashley says:

I find ANY bible with an author’s name on it to be disturbing. However, those are ALL, in fact, the ones by false teachers. (John Hagee Prophecy bible, The Everyday Life bible by Joyce Meyer). No one is the author of God’s word but God.

  11. Truthful Conversation says:

The Soldier with a Message sounds like someone from Joels Army! He also sounds like someone with angry pride in his heart, and he seems delusional in his thinking too. The ‘language’ he is using is typical of a macho (egotistical) Afrikaaner, I have come across many of them. I mean no offence to Afrikaaners by the way, there are many good South African men.

What is with the aggressive ‘speak’?? …and if you are going to write in English, please use it correctly! I think the word you were looking for in your one sentence, is NUDGE, NOT NUTCH! And what you said is totally inappropriate.

I do not see any ‘discerning’ in what you are saying.. there is no Christlike spirit in anything you said. You are an Angus Buchan follower, NOT a follower of Jesus Christ.

Please do not come to DTW with your nasty threats and your arrogant attitude. You are the one who needs to be on your knees repenting! We are not ‘jealous’ of false teachers and their lies, we warn people to keep well away from people like you.

ALL you have managed to do is show what type of person follows after wolves like Angus Buchan. Not nice people, that is for sure.

  13. Robbie says:

Soldier, you are one of the main reasons false teachers thrive.
You say Angus will now interpret the scripture for a better understanding?… we don’t have to rely on the Holy Spirit for inspiration anymore?

It is laziness!!! that causes us to fall for these short cuts boet!!! Read your Bible and stay away from edited short versions and man’s opinions.

Put away your AK and dress yourself with the real Armour. It is not the tongue that is the Sword… (talking about interpretation AND discernment)

  14. Michael says:

Apt and good answers, Smuggler,Robbie and TC and Robbie’s humour “Put away your AK and dress yourself with the real Armour”.

Some time ago I saw printed on a young man’s T-shirt…”Angus Buchan God’s De La Rey”.

What made it strange was that young man was Indian…obviously quite unaware that De La Rey was a Boer General.

Something bad and sinister here…worshippers and followers of men instead of worshippers and followers of the One that took our sins and iniquities upon HIMSELF on the cross at Golgotha (Calvary).

If context is not important to those claim Christianity then it is horrendously flawed and untrue…there is no truth and integrity.

“Nudge, nudge, say no more” comes from that perverse, obscene and foul-mouthed comedian…Monty Python.

Shows what type of humour we have here? Hardly a quote on a Christian blog.

  15. Michael says:

Having said this…I believe Angus must ask himself a lot of questions…like we all must.

The sad thing is that Angus sounds authentic in his conversion and I believe that God does save you…even in flawed churches like the Methodist because none of them are perfect and He uses our imperfect environment but He gives us His Word in the bible to be read in context and in truth. We must stick to what’s written therein and not follow man’s tendancies to deviate.

Angus spoke on Ezekiel…Watchman over Israel at a Mighty Man conference as if this applies to the world. It simply does not., it was a message to Israel in the right context,

This is NOT the Gospel …the true and good news.
Man has to be told that he is a sinner and that Christ died for his sins and that He paid the penalty for his sins. That Jesus’s sacrifice is the only way to eternal life. Man has fallen short and must accept the atonement. There is no other way…the message of the cross is simple, the question of sin can only be settled with the recognition of atonement and dying to the old man to the old life and this must come with the repentance and hating the past life.

Otherwise he dies in his sins and goes into eternity without God…Hell.

  16. Irma van der Colff says:

I do not agree with nor trust Angus’s ministry in general, though I do believe he is sincerely convinced of what he is doing. But in all fairness I think his intention could have been to present it more like a Bible study capturing the most important aspects rather than a complete Bible. I have not seen it, but it sounds to me the he did not translate nor rewrite, NOR CLAIMED TO HAVE REPLACED the Bible, but he merely took passages from a translation and commented on them? Perhaps we should be careful not to ascribe certain attitudes or intentions to him, whithout knowing if we are indeed correct – lest we could stand guilty of false acceusations.

  17. Chris says:

Discernment (what this site is apparently about) has nothing to do with demonizing people. Seems this site frequently steps over that line. If a man writes a book that is essentially a commentary on the Bible, how is he any worse than all the other people who have written similar things? Clearly, it is no replacement for the real thing, but it has its place just like any other Christian literature.

None of your points have anything to do with anything in the book. They’re all reactions to the marketing. It could be a fantastic book with all sorts of wonderful insights, but you wouldn’t have the first clue, because all you’ve done here is lash out at a bit of marketing. I admit that I haven’t read it either, but I’m not writing a scathing review, am I? This article is truly embarrassing. It’s the opposite of discernment. It’s just plain inflammatory.

    >> though I do believe he is sincerely convinced of what he is doing

many false teachers are sincere, it does not make them at all correct.

    >> I have not seen it, but it sounds to me the he did not translate nor rewrite, NOR CLAIMED TO HAVE REPLACED the Bible, but he merely took passages from a translation and commented on them?

He took many passages from the Bible and created his own biblenotice that he called it The Bible 😉

  19. Christ

    Demonizing? Lol, yeah right.

The book is called THE BIBLE. Angus has the audacity to call it the Bible. There is ONLY ONE BIBLE and it is the FULL WORD OF GOD.

  20. Robbie says:

Oh one one more thing Chris. You will not notice any difference if you don’t start with the real Bible.
Here are the basics so long… From the real Bible. (once again… remember Angus calls his a bible too.

“Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Now Stick around, the comparisons will follow.

  21. Robbie says:

Chris, and this is the NLT that Angus quotes from – altered scriptures from the New Living Translation

Deuteronomy – “sodomite” changed to “temple prostitute”
1 Kings 14:24 – “sodomites” replaced with “shrine prostitutes”
1 Kings 15:12 – “sodomites” replaced with “shrine prostitutes”
1 Kings 22:46 – “sodomites” replaced with “shrine prostitutes”
2 Kings 23:7 – “sodomites” replaced with “shrine prostitutes”
Matthew 17:21 – entire verse omitted
Matthew 18:11 – entire verse omitted
Matthew 19:9 – half of the verse is omitted
Matthew 23:14 – entire verse omitted
Mark 6:11 – half of the verse is omitted
Mark 7:16 – entire verse omitted
    Mark 9:44, 46 – entire verses omitted
Mark 11:26 – entire verse omitted
Mark 15:28 – entire verse omitted
Mark 16:9-20 – entire passage is questioned by a footnote that says, “The most reliable early manuscripts conclude the Gospel of Mark at verse 8”
Luke 4:8 – “get thee behind me Satan” is omitted

Luke 23:17 – entire verse omitted
John 1:10 – says God created everything “through” Jesus instead of “by” Jesus as the KJB teaches
John 1:41 – The NLT leaves out the phrase, “Which is by interpretation, a stone.” Hence, the critical distinction between Peter as “the stone” (Petros), and Jesus as “The Rock” (Petra) is obscured. This was no doubt deliberate to pleases Catholics who falsely teach that Peter is the rock upon which the church is built. The Bible states in no uncertain terms, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1st Corinthians 3:11).
John 3:16 – the all important word “begotten” is omitted, thus denying the deity of Christ
John 3:13 – “which is in heaven” is omitted John 5:4 – entire verse omitted

Acts 8:37 – entire verse omitted
Acts 12:4 – changes “Easter” to the incorrect “Passover” (See Numbers 28:16,17 and Acts 12:2 in the KJB)
Acts 17:29 – completely removes the “Godhead”
Acts 28:29 – entire verse omitted
Romans 1:20 – completely removes the “Godhead”
Romans 16:24 – entire verse omitted
Philippians 2:6 -removes the word “equal,” thus denying Christ’s deity
Colossians 1:16 – says God created everything “through” Jesus instead of “by” Jesus as the KJB teaches
Colossians 2:9 – completely removes the “Godhead”
1 Timothy 3:16 – “God” is omitted, says “Christ appeared in the flesh, thus denying the deity of Christ
1 Timothy 6:5 – “from such withdraw thyself” is omitted
Hebrews 1:3 – the all-important words “by himself” are omitted
1 Peter 4:1 – “for us” is omitted
1 Peter 4:14 – half of the verse is omitted
1 John 3:16 -completely removes “the love of God”
1 John 4:3 – the all-important words “Christ is come in the flesh” are omitted 1 John 5:7-8 — Trinitarian clause omitted
1 John 5:7 – half of the verse is omitted, thus denying the Godhead
1 John 5:13 – half of the verse is omitted
Revelation 1:11 – first half of the verse is omitted
Revelation 5:14 – “him that liveth forever and ever” is omitted

    Get it Chris?

    Soldier wuth a message….

Take me on, take me on and now you gone.

You see to sell a book it must differ with i think 10% to sell that same type of book. Now this people write the Bible over with this 10% diffrence to sell it and make money or maybe sent out false teachings.

If this angus bible is so good, you would probebly surgest that we can throw away the Bible and just go on with the angus word.

Angus would probebly be the happiest man alive!!

  23. Andes says:

Incredible – there are two ways to go. One is to speak the truth and the other a lie. One is to be spiritually aware of deception and the other is to be fanatical and find deception in everything we hear, read or see. This is perhaps the best way to mislead people is t criticize everything about christianity. The Bible in 366 Days is a study guide or a reading guide in order to assist the reader. ” NB: IT IS NOT THE BIBLE OR ATTENDED TO REPLACE THE BIBLE.” Much like a Concordance, or a reading plan. Had interest in this site until I saw how fanatical they have become. They tend to criticize everything that is about Chrictianity out there leaving you with very little option but to follow satan. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are our guides. I remeber one old wise man corrected me when I did much of what this site does. He said leave God to be the guide in each individuals life.

  24. Andes

    >> The Bible in 366 Days is a study guide or a reading guide in order to assist the reader.

Errrrr and what exactly is it supposed to help with when the REST of the Word of God is missing? You can’t used Angus’s Bible as a study Bible, LOLOL, I’ve taken a look at it, it’s joke. And you most definitely can’t use it as a reading guide to assist you, because the REAL BIBLE needs to be COMPLETE in order to understand it correctly.

What Angus has offered men is a false gospel, and called it a Bible, and how many uninformed people will actually buy Angus’ Bible thinking it’s LIKE the real BIBLE. Well let me tell you something. I asked people at a bookstore if they thought it Angus’ book was THE Bible and 5 out of 5 MEN said YES.

This ‘fanatic for the TRUTH’ rests her case.

    No ways… oh boy.

  27. Robbie says:

Andes said :Incredible – there are two ways to go. One is to speak the truth and the other a lie.

You missed the third one Andes… the truth mixed with lies and error. The one “way” (as you call it) that really deceives, like calling a bad copy of a good Book a “bible”

You heard the story of rat poison that consists of 99% good food and 1% poison?… it still kills.

  28. Robbie says:

  29. Hendrik says:

    Hi Deborah,

I would like to ask people here a question. I myself read the Old afrikaans translation of the Bible and the KJV translation.
I’ve done a bit of “research” into the KJV and found that it uses the textus receptus as well as the Geneva Bible as seen on this table http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_BIr7GBqdBpw/TMbY_1GN_1I/AAAAAAAAADA/nuEF-H8uxPE/s1600/bible_version_chart2.gif . However my question to people saying that the KJV is incorrect, what Bible translation do you guys read because I do agree we need to read the Word of God in truth and spirit?

  30. Dear Hendrik

Please read this article: What is KJV Only
The KJV is not incorrect, neither is reading the NKJV if you want too, or the Amplified. The fact of the matter is this there are people who read the KJV who are not saved, the bible does not make a Christian, its the Holy Spirit who makes the Christian. Remember that.
