The Black Eyed Peas: How much more Cabalistic, Masonic, Theosophical and Gnostic can you get?
Black Eyed Peas

The path to illumination

For a few months I have been wanting to do an article on the Music Industry and the music they vomit out of America as it is played over and over and over again to your children as they sway their hips to the beat.  Kids love Beyonce, J-Zee, Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas and Pink, etc.  They love their music.  Everyone watches their videos in awe of these super Pop idols who have it all.  What sounds like a lovely dance tune with lyrics that don’t make that much sense are in fact devellish songs skillfully prepared for an unsuspecting audience.

Thank you to The Vigilant Citizen for all their hard work in analysing these music artists and reporting the FACTS.
[Note:  DTW does not agree with all content on The VC website, so please use discernment at all times.]

The Esoteric Interpretation of The Black Eyed Peas’ “Meet Me Halfway”

by The Vigilant Citizen

The Black Eyed Peas “Meet Me Halfway” is a catchy song with deceptively simple lyrics. A viewing of the video, however, reveals the song’s true meaning: a quest for spiritual enlightenment, based on esoteric teachings. This article looks at the occult symbolism of the song and the video and explains its spiritual meaning.

I’ve known of The Black Eyed Peas since they were an underground rap group struggling for recognition. Apparently tired of anonymity, the group recruited Fergie, a sultry R&B singer, and set their focus on the pop market. Their desire to appeal to the lowest common denominator produced pop gems such as the ode to idiocy Let’s Get Retarded (which later had to be changed toLet’s Get it Started due to complaints) and eventually launched them to super-stardom. My lack of tolerance for corniness caused me avoid the group for years, but some readers sent me the group’s latest video, “Meet Me Halfway”. I was stunned by the incredible depth of the video. Its symbolism reaches deep into Mystery religions of antiquity and reveals tenets of esoteric schools such as the Kaballah. Pretty unexpected from the group also known for singing “My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my lovely lady lumps“. Here’s the video:

After viewing the video, it is fairly obvious that the director did not want to convey a simple love song.  It is about the union of the physical and the astral planes, of the male and female principles and between humanity and divinity. It is about the yearning of a being of the mundane world to seek a higher truth. The video is drenched with occult symbolism used in esoteric schools such as the Kaballah, Freemasonry, Theosophy, Gnostic Christianity and more.

Fergie, the Human Soul

The video starts with Fergie lying down in a lush, green jungle. She is on the physical plane, on planet earth which is abundant with terrestrial life and life-giving humidity. She is the archetypal Eve in the Garden of Eden. Despite all the beauty surrounding her, Fergie is looking to the sky and yearning for “something more”, which is currently unattainable to her. She feels that there is something missing.

I can’t go any further than this
I want you so badly, it’s my biggest wish

Fergie is singing to her divine nature, to her higher self which seems infinitely far from her, yet it can still hear her. She went as far as humanly possible in her spiritual quest and she is asking her spiritual self to make a move towards her. She is heard.

Apl.de.ap, the Divine Soul

Rapper apl.de.ap (yes, that’s his name) plays the role of Fergie’s higher consciousness, the missing piece needed to obtain spiritual enlightenment. He is dressed in garments reminiscent of eastern sages or mystics and is meditating. The fact that he is levitating, surrounded by an aura, rotating and multiplying himself further conveys this sense of ethereal, non-human presence. He is not a physical human, but Fergie’s spiritual counterpart. Apl.de.ap’s lyrics communicate that as much as Fergie wants to connect with her higher-self, the higher-self longs to reunite with Fergie as well. They were forming a single unit before she “fell” into material existence and they want to “become one” again.

Cool,
I spent my time just thinkin thinkin thinkin bout you
Every single day yes, I’m really missin missin you
And all those things we use to use to use to do
Hey girl, what’s up, it used to used to be just me and you
I spent my time just thinkin thinkin thinkin bout you
Every single day, yes I’m really missin missin you
And all those things we use to use to use to do
Hey girl what’s up, yo what’s up, what’s up, what’s up

Apl.de.ap’s character completes Fergie in every way. She is physical, he is spiritual; she is lives in terrestrial life, he is lives in nothingness; she is female, he is male. In alchemical terms, she is the Mercury and he is the Sulfur. This concept of “two souls” is all-important Kabbalistic teachings.

Apl.de.ap uses a Torah Pointer to consult his map. In this esoteric context it is used for Kabbalistic studies. Does the Kabbalah provide the road map to enlightenment?

Torah Pointer

Here’s an explanation of Kabbalistic philosophy using the Zohar’s (the most important work of Kabbalah) interpretation of the Genesis:

“The Zohar holds the concept of two Adams: the first a divine being who, stepping forth from the highest original darkness, created the second, or earthly, Adam in His own image. The higher, or celestial, man was the Causal sphere With its divine potencies and potentialities considered as a gigantic personality; its members, according to the Gnostics, being the basic elements of existence. This Adam may have been symbolized as facing both ways to signify that with one face it looked upon the proximate Cause of itself and with the other face looked upon the vast sea of Cosmos into which it was to be immersed. Philosophically, Adam may be regarded as representative of the full spiritual nature of man – androgynous and nor subject to decay. Of this fuller nature the mortal man has little comprehension. Just as spirit contains matter within itself and is both the source and ultimate of the state denominated matter, so Eve represents the lower, or mortal, portion that is taken out of, or has temporal existence in the greater and fuller spiritual creation.” -Manly P. Hall, Secret Teachings Of All Ages

Will.I.Am, the Vehicle

Exploring the universe on the back of his elephant, Will.I.Am is the liaison between the spiritual and the terrestrial world. He could be called a “cosmic travel agent”. He is seeking the gateway that would allow Fergie and Apl.de.ap to unite again. This sense of travel is well reflected in his lyrics:

Girl, I travel round the world and even sail the seven seas
Across the universe I go to other galaxies
Just tell me where you want, just tell me where you wanna to meet
I navigate myself myself to take me where you be
Cause girl I want, I, I, I want you right now
I travel uptown (town) I travel downtown
I wanna to have you around (round) like every single day
I love you alway .. way

Notice on the elephant the symbol of a double-headed eagle, which is very similar to the symbol of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.

Is Freemasonry the “gateway” to Kabbalistic enlightenment?

The Pine Cone Staff

Apl.de.ap gets up and starts his search for Fergie, his lost counterpart. He is the active principle searching, while Fergie is the passive principle, laying down on earth and waiting. Together they will become complete. In his walk through the cosmic desert, we can see that he is holding a very symbolic staff:

Pine cone staff

Pine cones have always been occultly associated with spiritual enlightenment. Whether we look at ancient Babylonians, Egyptians, Greeks or Christians, the pine cone has represented the mysterious link between the physical and the spiritual worlds, which can be found in the human brain. The pineal gland, also known as the third eye, is represented by the pine cone in occult symbolism. It is taught by Mystery schools to open the doors to spiritual perception once the seven Chakras are properly activated.

Pine Cone Staff of Osiris surrounded by the two serpents of the Kundalini. The staff represents the spine and the pine cone represents the pineal gland.

Giant Osiris pine cone at the Vatican

Manly P. Hall explains the importance of the pine cone in Freemasonry and ancient civilizations:

“Sufficient similarity exists between the Masonic CHiram and the Kundalini of Hindu mysticism to warrant the assumption that CHiram may be considered a symbol also of the Spirit Fire moving through the sixth ventricle of the spinal column. The exact science of human regeneration is the Lost Key of Masonry, for when the Spirit Fire is lifted up through the thirty-three degrees, or segments of the spinal column, and enters into the domed chamber of the human skull, it finally passes into the pituitary body (Isis), where it invokes Ra (the pineal gland) and demands the Sacred Name. Operative Masonry, in the fullest meaning of that term, signifies the process by which the Eye of Horus is opened. E. A. Wallis Budge has noted that in some of the papyri illustrating the entrance of the souls of the dead into the judgment hall of Osiris the deceased person has a pine cone attached to the crown of his head. The Greek mystics also carried a symbolic staff, the upper end being in the form of a pine cone, which was called the thyrsus of Bacchus. In the human brain there is a tiny gland called the pineal body, which is the sacred eye of the ancients, and corresponds to the third eye of the Cyclops. Little is known concerning the function of the pineal body, which Descartes suggested (more wisely than he knew) might be the abode of the spirit of man. As its name signifies, the pineal gland is the sacred pine cone in man – the eye single, which cannot be opened until CHiram (the Spirit Fire) is raised through the sacred seals which are called the Seven Churches in Asia.” –-Manly P. Hall, Secret Teachings of All Ages

The Enlightenment

Taboo literally “sees the light”

Taboo stares in awe at the sun, the metaphorical representation of divinity. The process of enlightenment has started. He is the bridge “to the other side”.

Let’s walk the bridge, to the other side
Just you and I (just you and I)
I will fly, I’ll fly the skies, for you and I (for you and I)
I will try, until I die, for you and I, for you and I, for for you and I,
For for you and I, for for you and I, for you and I

The Opening of the Gateways

After searching, Will.I.Am opens the portal which will allow Fergie and Apl.de.ap, the two souls, to finally unite. All that is left to do is simply to walk through.

The higher-self enters a pyramid-shaped gateway, representing the spiritual world and the triune nature of divinity

The lower-self enters a cube-shaped gateway, representing the material plane and planet Earth

Shooting stars soar across the sky, representing the completion of the alchemical wedding.

In Conclusion

The video to the Black Eyed Peas’ Meet Me Halfway features many symbolic elements of esoteric spirituality. Many schools of thought have been mentioned here, such as the Kaballah, Buddhism, Alchemy and Freemasonry. This might be confusing for readers who are not acquainted with those concepts but you only need to keep one thing in mind: all of these schools teach different paths leading the same goal, which is spiritual enlightenment. It is the “Inner-Christ” of the Gnostic Christians, the “Great Work” of Alchemy and the “Lost Key” of Freemasonry.

In the context of this website, where many videos analyzed present sinister messages, many people will want to ask me: Is this video good or bad? My answer is: It is what you want it to be … and what you want it to be will probably be a result of your religious background and your personal beliefs. The message of this video is pure occultism, as in “the representation of spiritual truths through symbolism”, and it represents the beliefs of the true “Illuminatus”, those who genuinely seek spiritual enlightenment. The satanic, mind-control symbols seen in previous articles are corrupted, negatively charged, occult byproducts. The same way male and female principles, positive and negative energies and light and darkness exist, so exists “good” and “evil” occultism, often typified by white and black magic. The good will inspire people to reach to the sky and ask a higher truth to “meet them halfway”, while the evil will leave them confused and tormented, obsessed by materiality and screaming to nobody in particular “Let’s get retarded”.

See how even the likes of Taylor Swift and Pink have been indoctrinated into Freemasonry right in front of the public’s eye on national television:

See why Christina Aguilera is really not herself…

Isn’t it just peachy wonderful – they are the half time entertainment at the Super Bowl which is viewed all over the world.

Every believer needs to send their pastors and their Christian friends this information. Some churches use the event as a church-sponsored affair. This is like
inviting Satan in as an honored guest. Okay, watch the game that is over-glorified and a testimony to hedonism, but turn off the half-time.

I can just see the eyes roll when I send this out. But maybe some will take heed and avoid being seduced by evil spirits. Of course if one is in attendance it would be pretty hard to avoid – but the average Joe can’t afford it. Isn’t it ironic that the game is being played in what is called the “Bible belt”?

Oh my goodness, yes send it out. People need to know what this band stands for and it’s FAR from good.

many people will want to ask me: Is this video good or bad? My answer is: It is what you want it to be … and what you want it to be will probably be a result of your religious background and your personal beliefs………The same way male and female principles, positive and negative energies and light and darkness exist, so exists “good” and “evil” occultism, often typified by white and black magic. The good will inspire people to reach to the sky and ask a higher truth to “meet them halfway”, while the evil will leave them confused and tormented, obsessed by materiality and screaming to nobody in particular “Let’s get retarded”.

Do I understand the above quote from the article? It appears the author is saying that the result of viewing this group and their videos is determinded by each individual’s mindset and beliefs. It says “the good will inspire people to reach………and ask a higher truth to “meet them halfway”. It would seem that the author does not recognize the spiritual DANGER of watching this stuff. It gives good information but does not WARN of the consequences of entertaining this type of content into the eargate and eyegate. Am I missing the point here? I realize the author iw not writing from a Christian perspective, but Christians need to understand that we are not to have anything to do with the deeds of darkness.

Thank you Debs for exposing this – hopefully the readers of this blog will take this information seriously and purge their lives and their homes of this evil even if it makes their teenager rebel. Children need to be taught how to recognize evil and to avoid it regardless of the populatiry and the peer pressure. This calls for strong parental control and taking advantage of teaching moments to pour the Scriptures into children’s lives as we pour God’s Word into our own lives so we can withstand the wiles of Satan.

I just heard this morning that 40% of children born in the U.S. are out of wedlock and the trend has momentum partly because of the influence of celebrities. It would seem that singers like Beyonce and the demonic spirits within their music is deluding young people to emulate them and this is only one of the symptoms. Jesus Christ should be the only “Celebrity” in our lives that matters. But sadly, the Church is sinking into the morass more every day.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

People fail to realise that because it’s not evil looking and does not sound like heavy metal does not mean it’s not 100% evil.

Nah, read the whole thing properly..in one long sentense.

It’s not surprising that BEP have an occult agenda if you consider who seems to be their new best friend & fairy godmother…….OPRAH WINFREY – (they seem very cosy since the flashmob performance in Chicago in 2009) What really freaks me about singers like Fergie and Rihanna and Lady Gaga (even Madonna) is that they openly promote bisexuality . Is this a new trend? Many female stars seem to ” admit” nonchalantly to having experimented or just not minding what sex their bedpartner is….and the media doesn’t even bat an eyelid. It really seems like desensitisation or indoctrination ? My daughters are at the “Miley Cyrus” fanclub age and now I have to explain why they may not watch her latest videos – 17 years old and writhing across the screen in scanty outfits – and then the world has the audacity to feign shock at pedophilia when little girls have rollmodels like this! I have never seen Beyonce in a video dressed in modest attire with her over-voluptious figure. It’s enough to make me look twice…..so i dare not think what my teenage son will think! No, I overprotect my kids but I can’t dare otherwise. They may not watch music channels at all. Thankyou for placing these articles – even though I find them rather heavy and dark – I think most thinking Christians should know that the whole music industry is evil…….afterall Satan was/is a musician too

  • Burning Lamp

Maybe I’m a dunderhead, but it sounds to me like he is saying that white magic ic good and black magic is bad and that one will lift you up and the other will sink you. Still sounds to me like he doesn’t see any harm in watching the video or listening to their music.

Doesn’t make it very clear to me, but maybe I’m in a fog……………:-)

I get what you are saying. I re-read what it said again and again this morning and YOU ARE RIGHT. He does differentiate between good and bad occultism. *shock / horror * Why I didn’t see that yesterday it beyond me; could be the headache I had. But I DOTH SEE IT CLEARLY THIS MORNING. I will make a note there and explain otherwise.

    Thanks for spotting that.

Seems to me that you have too much time on your hands and way to overactive an imagination. Seems to me that instead of searching for the “esoteric” in music, you should spend more time praying. Kaballah was written by Moses, still regarded as a steadfast member of the Jewish forerunners to Christianity. He was certainly a forbearer of the ten commandments, and they are the cornerstone of Kaballah too. This is the product of a lack of education, and too much focus on hocus pokus, and way too much time in the hocus pokus protestant churches of uneducated teachers. They are not men of God, they’re men peddling fear. Hogwash!

I must apologize to inform all of you that don’t seen to understand…It is the church who is the false teacher as the body is the only god made temple on the earth. Maybe you should check your scripture a bit better you see:

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands; Acts 17:24

And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves. Matthew. 21:12

And said to them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house a house of merchandise. John 2:16

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:2

There is only one tree that bears fruit each month and that would be a female…

The lies covering the real truth are so much thicker than you realize. Open your eyes and do your research, don’t trust a preacher the truth is available to all who seek…

The Black and White is your Mind Keeping you from your True Heart, only thru overcoming your own tribulation will you see that. You must purify yourself first and it will all be given unto you. Prior to that it will look complex and confusing and you will continue to fear your very self.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Sacred Heart

I must apologise to you but what on earth are you talking about. You can’t go and twist scripture to come up with some airy fairy nonsense and then call that truth.

The Black and White is SATAN trying to keep you from the TRUTH – John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Please look up and reveal the “Thelema Order” who use this line “Do what thou wilt” Liber AL vel Legis that is who is responsible for the corrupted part of the Music Industry. They are followers of Aleister Crowley. They are not Illumined or Illuminati at all, they just assumed to use the term. They are Imposters…

They have taken parts of the Truth and Inverted it so it is similar to the real Path but flipped around to confuse people. They use real symbolism of christianity but have twisted it and are now causing alot of problems. Please do a report on this Group. People need to educated and warned about them, you have the means and public attention to do it.

    Many Blessings to you

Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 19:31

  • Redeemed

My this Thelema is a convoluted mixture of occult, Roman Catholicism, and every variety of wicked spirit.

The “average” person will not encounter this and I don’t see a need to expose it in particular. If we try and expose every variety or branch of the occult it requires much research and delving into darkness that the Bible says we are to avoid. There is a general good and evil and as believers we should be able to tell the difference.

The above article was useful as it involves a well-known and popular musical group that people need to know is not for Christians and why. The BEP performed at the Super Bowl one year and Madonna did and showed the Eye of Horus. These things are wicked and we are to expose the deeds of darkness, but we must be careful not to delve too deeply as it can be harmful to ourselves and others. This requires much wisdom and a great degree of caution and prayer so as not to give glory to the wiles of Satan.
