Rick Warren – A Recipe For Disaster

rick warren

THERE REALLY IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER (see end of this article)

Rick Warren (Purpose Driven Life author) twitted:

“Those who yell their beliefs are trying to convince themselves. Sarcasm often reveals a weak position, guilt, or insecurity.”   http://twitter.com/RickWarren/status/6575625921 9:06 PM Dec 11th 2009

Rick Warrens Bio on Twitter says:

Bio:   Champion of planters/pastors/worship ldrs. Cheerleader/mentor for next gen leaders. Tell me-I’ll follow u. Trained 400,000 pastors in162 nations. Loves doubters  http://twitter.com/RickWarren

Prior to that Rick Warren said this:

“Love isnt letting people do whatever they want. That’s often cowardice or apathy. Love cares enough to tell the truth.”  http://twitter.com/RickWarren/status/5605843093  3:22 AM Nov 11th 2009

What Rick means is this;  if a genuine Christian stands up for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and tries to correct error with the Truth, so that people are not led astray, they portray themselves as insecure in their beliefs, are unloving and sarcastic.

However he also says that loving someone entails telling them the truth and correcting the errors so that they are not led astray.  If you don’t tell the truth you portray yourself as a coward and are apathetic to those around you.

Um… comments anyone?  I’m not sure what to do.  If I say something to correct this contradiction I am insecure in my beliefs, weak and have no idea what I am taking about.  If I don’t try help Rick see that this is a blatant contradiction then I am a coward and unloving.

Gosh. What a dilemma this is.  I am so confused lol.

No wonder the world is in the state it’s in.

Recipe for Disaster:

Take a very large pot – throw in mankind, throw in unscrupulous amounts of money, slowly remove the Word of God, add heaps of addiction, add a lot of debt, turn up the heat, then sow tremendous amounts of confusion, let it simmer, then reap the world.  Don’t forget that it’s made with Love — www.discerningtheworld.com

I was following up a link on YOU TUBE – listen for yourself, but I highlight this:

“You see, over the years as we’ve been training all this 400 000 churches around the world, we’ve build a network. And there are literally tens of thousand of other churches waiting to do what Saddle Back has been testing the last two years…
What is the vision for the next 25 years? I’ll tell you what it is! It is the global expansion of the kingdom of god, it is the total mobilization of this church, and the third part is the dream of a radical devotion of every believer.”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fzwljL2LTQ

[my highlight]

I cried as I watched this video. words standing out:

“WE’VE been training”, “WE’VE build a network”, “I’LL TELL YOU what it (the dream) is” !!

God help us all when this ‘church’ and counterparts are moving in their mobilized unity, spear-headed by their world-leader Rick Warren. HOW ON EARTH can so many people be SO blind?!

Oh wait, I know the answer already: Mass hypnotism / mass mind-control. No wonder he commends Hitler! And he is using the same tactics as Hitler, ‘mobilizing’ the youth. Those who are subject to their hormonal changes… those who are still learning to come to terms with their humanism, their teens, their adulthood.

I thank the LORD God that HE is in control and knows the exact time when things should happen. I put a finger in front of my mouth and a guard to my heart NOT to cry out “come Lord Jesus”, because there are SO MANY youth to be plucked from the hands of these wolves and from the gates of hell!!

please translate in English? my brain sometimes just doesn’t want to translate correctly..

so he’s urging the youth to emulate the Nazi youth movement.

I quote from the partial transcript (http://www.talk2action.org/story/2009/12/5/125642/379) :
For the past 18 months we have been on a stealth, secret mission – project – around the world. We’ve been sending members out, actually over 4500 members somewhere overseas, over the period of time, the last few years, going out to do what we’re gonna call the P.E.A.C.E. Plan.

You’ve been hearing little snippets about it, today we’re going to unveil it publicly. But the first thing before I even talk about it in a minute is you need to understand that at the heart of the P.E.A.C.E. Plan is this theme – The Kingdom of God.

Saddleback and our Purpose Driven Network has now trained over 400,000 pastors in over 162 countries.”

“”Jesus said, ‘I want you to do this publicly.’ So what I want you to do is take the card, and in just a minute, and if you say ‘Rick, I am willing to serve God’s purposes in my generation.’

I want you to open up to the sign that says ‘Whatever it takes.'”

And on in the video clip the WHOLE crowd (mostly young people dressed in (olive)green t-shirts, hold up their red cards with ‘whatever it takes’.

now I agree with the comment Bruce Wilson placed which asked why he (RW) is holding up a violent role model where he could have pointed to someone eg like Wesley etc.

the shock is the word he used: “we have been on a stealth, secret mission – project – around the world.”

why secretive if it’s “god’s plan”?
whatever it takes…

There is demon who’s name is Oriah, he is usually not alone but comes with Leviathan, and Jezebel. Oriah’s purpose is to present someone in a different form and specifically to present you to appear to be spiritualually acceptable. Leviathan’s prime purpose if to stop deliverance and salvation. Jezebel has as her prime purpose manipulation. These three are ever present within the church. You can see how working together they can deceive the church. There are many men who in their own zeal and drive to achieve status even in the Christian context do things in their own strength. But God isn’t impressed by them. Guarding against being influenced by demonic forces should be our consistent goal. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom.

Deborah: At least two of the names of the demons are written in scripture and specifically mentioned by God in the book of Job.
Scripture teaches My people perish due to a lack of knowledge. It is my opinion that your position is the weakness of the church. A common position held that where the Holy spirit is no demons can be. Christ is the lover of our soul and not our body. In fact the body must die in order to leave all sin behind and only those who are raptured alive are miraculously transformed into a glorified body. The grace of God is freely available constantly, however we need to appropriate it through consistent repentance and sanctification. If not it would mean we are able to sin freely after salvation and not suffer consequence.( ecl 12:13-14). It is our responsibility to resist the devil, How do we resist if we do not know what he does and how he does it. The word says for example we fight not against flesh and blood. Yet Christians still fight each other and get divorced. If we were obedient to the word we would resist Him and then he would flee from us. If these men resisted pride for example another demonic influence and humbled themselves and had a reverential fear of God they probably would not get drawn into error.

If we cannot be influenced by demons then who is influencing all these false prophets. Surely if the Holy Spirit has driven out all forces of evil they cannot be false? Surely we cannot believe these men are all so wise themselves as to plan all they do? No you are right we have the holy spirit and truth, but we do not all listen to his voice and act obediently on it. Hence we are told test the spirits. He is the lover of our soul, but we must guard the soul by the abundance within our heart. Present yourself a living sacrifice. IE its a consistent effort, although made possible by grace in Christ Jesus.

Amen to your scripture 1John4:4 and the Just shall live by faith. It is simply because you do have the Holy Spirit abiding in you that you become spiritually aware, and if you ask then also wise. A warrior does not close his eyes, rather he gathers all intelligence and goes in with eyes open, Praise God knowing God has already declared the Victory. The kingdom of God suffers violence but the violent take it by force.

>>I have no idea what your original comment has to do with this topic of Rick Warren

Deborah you are quite right you have missed the point. I mearly intended to offer some insight. I do not require teaching of the basics of my faith. No disrespect intended!

Richard, the day that we think we have mastered the basics of our faith is the day that we should revisit them. We should never tire of hearing them.

Deborah I don’t know how you have determined just what I believe in these few posts, however I have determined now by reading through your many posts on this entire this website that no one is worthy of working for God or commenting except those who agree with you.
A dangerous position to take. If you are wrong on any one of these ministers lives, speaking against them, the consequences could be severe. I have been very outspoken myself against false prophets and will continue to be, but first be prepared to take the spiritual consequences. If you are not aware what those are you should not be doing what your doing.

I once sat on the fence too… trained by a church to be lukewarm and they said it was ok.

Pick a side Richard!

>>Gosh, what does that mean? Just repent and Jesus will forgive you for following false teaching and then STOP following it. Where is the Holy Spirit in your life if you do not know or are not being lead into truth and growing in the truth that is Jesus Christ?

How convenient!

Deborah trying to justify my position with you would be a futile exercise, Your obvious higher knowledge would make that impossible.
Twenty five years of study have brought me to my position. Many many commentaries by the great men who have studied before me have come to the same conclusions as me. Simply because you lack the knowledge in this particular field does not qualify you to take the high handed position you have. Since repentance is your easy way of escape then I suggest you begin by working on your pride.

One of the most important attributes of ones character that would show the love of Christ and the evidence of the Holy Spirit would be humility and the ability to treat all Gods people greater than yourself, in respect to the Holy Spirit within them. Correct people in love. If indeed you do have superior spiritual knowledge to me and truly did have intentions to teach me something you certainly don’t go about it the right way. At this point if I thought you had any intentions of truly wanting me to answer your questions, with a purpose of truly finding out what I believe and either learning by it, or assisting me in my own growth, due to a heartfelt concern for Christs people, then I would justify my position. However at this point it is obvious you get off on belittling Christ’s servants. Your inability to discern just who is for and who is against is obvious. Mark 9:40

Please answer the questions asked by Deborah (Discerning the World).

Yikes you are puffed up Richard and take care he.

1 Timothy 6:4
He is puffed up with pride and stupefied with conceit, [although he is] woefully ignorant. He has a morbid fondness for controversy and disputes and strife about words, which result in (produce) envy and jealousy, quarrels and dissension, abuse and insults and slander, and base suspicions,

Colossians 2:18
Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you for the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on visions [he claims] he has seen, vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions and inflated by his unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit,

Your inability to discern just who is for and who is against is obvious.

You know Richard you are judging here. Go read the whole blog and all that is said on this blog is backed up by Scripture.

1 John 2:2-4 (Amplified Bible)

2And He [[a]that same Jesus Himself] is the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins, and not for ours alone but also for [the sins of] the whole world.
3And this is how we may discern [[b]daily, by experience] that we are coming to know Him [to perceive, recognize, understand, and become better acquainted with Him]: if we keep (bear in mind, observe, practice) His teachings (precepts, commandments).
4Whoever says, I know Him [I perceive, recognize, understand, and am acquainted with Him] but fails to keep and obey His commandments (teachings) is a liar, and the Truth [[c]of the Gospel] is not in him.

3 John 1:11
Beloved, do not imitate evil, but imitate good. He who does good is of God; he who does evil has not seen (discerned or experienced) God [has enjoyed no vision of Him and does not know Him at all].

Go read your Bible and see how you are acting here. And also read this please.

Galatians 5 (Amplified Bible)

1IN [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].

2Notice, it is I, Paul, who tells you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will be of no profit (advantage, avail) to you [[a]for if you distrust Him, you can gain nothing from Him].

3I once more protest and testify to every man who receives circumcision that he is under obligation and bound to practice the whole of the Law and its ordinances.

4If you seek to be justified and declared righteous and to be given a right standing with God through the Law, you are brought to nothing and so separated (severed) from Christ. You have fallen away from grace (from God’s gracious favor and unmerited blessing).

5For we, [not relying on the Law but] through the [Holy] Spirit’s [help], by faith anticipate and wait for the blessing and good for which our righteousness and right standing with God [our [b]conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action, causes us] to hope.

6For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.

7You were running the race nobly. Who has interfered in (hindered and stopped you from) your heeding and following the Truth?

8This [evil] persuasion is not from Him Who called you [Who invited you to freedom in Christ].

9A little leaven (a slight inclination to error, or a few false teachers) leavens the whole lump [it perverts the whole conception of faith or misleads the whole church].

10[For my part] I have confidence [toward you] in the Lord that you will take no contrary view of the matter but will come to think with me. But he who is unsettling you, whoever he is, will have to bear the penalty.

11But, brethren, if I still preach circumcision [as some accuse me of doing, as necessary to salvation], why am I still suffering persecution? In that case the cross has ceased to be a stumbling block and is made meaningless (done away).

12I wish those who unsettle and confuse you would [[c]go all the way and] cut themselves off!

13For you, brethren, were [indeed] called to freedom; only [do not let your] freedom be an incentive to your flesh and an opportunity or excuse [for [d]selfishness], but through love you should serve one another.

14For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is [e]complied with in the one precept, You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself.(A)

15But if you bite and devour one another [in partisan strife], be careful that you [and your whole fellowship] are not consumed by one another.

16But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).

17For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do.

18But if you are guided (led) by the [Holy] Spirit, you are not subject to the Law.

19Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency,

20Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies),

21Envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,

23Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [[f]that can bring a charge].

24And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites and desires.

25If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit [g]we have our life in God, let us go forward [h]walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.]

26Let us not become vainglorious and self-conceited, competitive and challenging and provoking and irritating to one another, envying and being jealous of one another.

Did you really come here to tell us to learn about demons and their natures?? Noooooooooo you cant be serious. No Christian should be interested in demons and their natures.

The only doctrine here on this blog is The Bible that is used as the only true doctrine.

Richard your really need to read this.

I now blame ignorance. – (I think ignorance in Hebrew means *dumb on purpose*

But seriously. There is a serious tendency and curiosity towards knowledge of the occult and the spiritual realms… and Harry potter can’t take all the blame. It is as if the gospel is becoming boring to the teenagers??.

This is true

…heresy does not get better, it does not improve with age, like a fine wine. It continues to drift further and further into darkness. The only way heresy is stopped in the Church is by godly people standing up for the truth and being willing to swim upstream against what is popular.

Yes I agree with you and these “occult and the spiritual realms…”
books are sold even in the so called christian book shops like CUM and at the false churches bookshops. Don’t forget the Shack that is punted by just about every big false church. Oh and if my memory is correct Rick Warren endorsed the shack.
