No John. The dominion mandate to Adam is often quoted by kingdom now theologians as justification for their view that man is destined to rule the world. The command is: “…fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Gen. 1:28). These theologians further explain that during the Fall this authority was appropriated by Satan, but through the victory of Jesus (the last Adam) we have regained our position of dominion. We should now, according to them, show the necessary faith and boldness by taking over the world and ruling over it.

But the mandate of Genesis 1:26-28 does not include authority over people – it only subjects the natural world to the authority of humans. The ecological disasters which threaten the world today, e.g. the pollution of the atmosphere and water resources, deforestation and global heating, are the direct consequences of the extreme abuse of the dominion mandate. The mandate over the physical world which was given to Adam and his descendants was not terminated by the Fall, and therefore does not need to be returned to them by Christ.

God has given the control over human societies to their kings and leaders: “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities” (Rom. 13:1). If these leaders are apostate, their subjects will have an apostate government. But if the leader is God-fearing, the opposite is more likely to be true. The nations of the world have, except for short periods of good government, all lapsed into apostasy.

The Lord did not hand over the control of the world to the church. The dominion mandate which churches demand for themselves is completely in conflict with the Bible. This disposition will foster compromise and a decadent ecumenical movement which will only benefit the Antichrist and his empire.

What do you mean by this??
This is unbelievable…are these guys so totally deluded by delusions of grandeur that they believe this…perverting scripture way out of context so that it can fall in with their desires of self importance and pride…this is blasphemy at it’s worst. Do they actually believe they will become little Christs.

after jesus assended he gave some apostles prophets evangelists teachers pastors for the edyfing of the body till we all grow up into christ
there are still apostles prophets evangelists teachers and pastors
there job today is to teach lead by example to grow up into christ.

I am in South Africa and have heard a worrying testimony that these people are recruiting young people at the universities and schools and hold ‘meetings’ in homes etc. The youth need to be warned.

I had posted at one time about the church that i left being a Latter Rain/Dominionist , as WELL as Word Faith church ,and that i was not for sure if “Apostle” from my church had connections in South Africa. Well as it turns out he does. As a matter of fact somebody is coming to my previous church from South Africa in March. I am not POSITIVE about his name (I will make sure and repost if this is wrong)but i was told that a Vincent Valentine is returning to preach at Prevailing Word in Pennsylvania. I believe that he is from a church there in South Africa that my previous “Apostle” connected with. They set up a “money changers” table in the back of the church for him to sel his books and stuff. Lol.I didn’t go to the meeting , but a friend of mine was ther and even she who is loyal to “Apostle” said that she felt “Apostle Valentine “(or “Prophet”?) to be a con! Do you know anything about him there in South Africa? Watch out for any Prevailing Word World Outreach churches springing up!

This is an absurd comment…First of all the Lord Jesus was what He claimed to be…He had integrity and was unquestionably the Messiah…the pharisees were hypocrits and woshipped their religious pride.
Anybody claiming to be a prophet today is a charlatan…they are false. The Lord Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of the faith…everything is complete in Him and His Word….nothing further added or needed …man’s deceipt and vanity is totally ridiculous to even try and impose…Our faith originates in Christ, and it culminates in Him (reaches fulfillment in Him). He is the totality of it. There is no more and no less to Christian faith than the loyal, obedient faith which is displayed and taught in the New Testament. Some people teach doctrines which were not delivered by Christ in His New Testament. Some people add and subtract from His teaching concerning Christian faith. Such man-made doctrines are not pleasing to God (1Tim. 6:3-5; 2 Tim. 4:3-4).
