Glenn Grant – The Second Son

Glenn Grant – Occultist and The Second Son

I am writing this article as warning to all who have come into contact with a man by the name of Glenn Grant.  He has written a book called The Second Son.  I warned him not to go ahead and publish this book and emailed his mailing list with a warning as well.

When my husband and I first met Glenn he came across as charming and a ‘genuine’ Christian, then he invited us to a braai, the 3rd time was for a reading of his book, The Second Son.

I attended the reading, my husband could not make it.  Glenn handed out ‘character’ readings to individuals within the church which they would read out aloud.  I had not received a draft copy of the book before hand, where as others had.  I was very surprise at what I heard; things did not sound completely right but even after the Holy Spirit’s warnings I went ahead and disagreed with another couple who raised questions that night about the book.  Glenn said he welcomed comments and ‘criticism’ and would consider it when editing the book, but yet strongly disagreed when people raised their comments.  After I left there I felt like I had been hit by a ton of bricks.  I felt absolutely terrible.  Many months went by after that night.

Since then I have spoken to this couple and asked for forgiveness and told them that what they said was absolutely 100% correct and I was wrong, biblically wrong.  My phone call was perfect timing however – that day they had been ‘kicked’ out of Glenn’s church for questioning him on his interpretation of scripture he used in a sermon.

They were so happy when I phoned – they sighed with relief, they were beginning to think they were wrong in confronting Glenn.  Did they have a Religious Spirit as he so often told people?

After an hour conversation it boiled down that Glenn was running a fledgling cult where people seem to be caught under a spell of witchcraft and the ‘Touch not my Anointed’ syndrome – the anointed being Glenn of course.  He helps people out of other false faiths and healings take place in these people’s lives after they have been ‘freed’. Only to clasp his claws around them with the exact same false teaching (just disguised differently).  These people are locked into his grasp;  he helped them, how can they turn their backs on him.

Then I heard Glenn being interviewed on Highveld 94.7 one morning on my way to work.  I was so shocked I nearly drove into a tree.

Quick summary of the book:

“Besides the book being totally UN-BIBLICAL and EVIL, with a complete focus on Angels as messengers and ministers, the first chapter depicts a disturbing satanic ritual where a witch and wizard summoning a high level demonic force.  This book also contains the names of demons and angels which Glenn said he received via ‘revelation’ from God.  Did I mention this book was evil?

Glenn Grant Sue GrantOk so let’s move on to the back cover of the book.  Here we have a photo of Glenn Grant and his wife Sue.  If you look at Sue you will notice she has a pendant hanging around her neck.

I searched the internet until I almost ran out of bandwidth looking for a pendent that even looked remotely similar. I needed to find the exact pendant. But alas it was a dead end.  Until February of this year…

I met a lady who is a Christian and for some unknown reason asked her if she had ever seen a pendent that looked like this – as I tried to draw it in the air with my finger to describe it to her.  She said, “You mean the point at the bottom of the pendant extends way down…to a sharp point?  I said “Yes, it’s a 6 pointed star – resembles the Star of David, buts it’s not”.

She went to her room and pulled out a piece of paper from a gigantic pile of research papers.  She said, ‘Is that it?’  I could not believe it, it was the exact pendant.  She said the women who makes them considers herself to be Jewish when she is not. Teaches Jewish dancing (or just does it for her own entertainment),  and believes wholeheartedly that God gave her the design for this pendant in a dream.  Apparently when people see this pendant it will help lead them to Jesus as Marichen Conradie says on her website:  “May this design direct you to Jesus”.

Well I can tell you when I saw this pendant around some of Glenn’s followers I was reminded of a symbol I knew about when I myself was in the occult.  But I convinced myself that day that it could not be so.  Would they blatantly wear such a symbol out in the open like that?  Well yes!  I can’t even believe I went back there a second time for the book reading.  But then again I would not be writing this article if I didn’t…

Anyhow to make a long story much shorter…

Satanic pendant:

Here is the explanation of what this pendant means as per Marichen Conradie website: (her website has since been removed from the internet 19/08/2013)

INRI pendant

INRI Pendant

The problems with this pendant is it is 100% Satanic:  The 6 pointed star in found in Egyptian hieroglyphics, it’s the Freemason 6 pointed star, and Solomon’s Key or Seal of Solomon used in Jewish Mysticism. This symbol is also found in the Tree of Life when you connect the dots.

It is also the Star of David. The Star of David represents the throne of David.  God gave Jesus Christ the throne of David on His resurrection. (See covenant made with King David in 2 Samuel 7:12-17, Luke 1:3-35 and Acts 2:30 – all prophecy fulfilled).  Jesus is RAISED to sit on David’s throne.  Non-saved Jews refuse to believe that Jesus Christ is their Messiah;  therefore they still hold onto the idea that their Messiah has not come yet, and are still waiting for him.  So as we can see Satan will take everything that belongs to God’s people (the Jewish nation) and everything that is Biblical and twist it to suit himself to lead people stray.)

Lets’s get back to the 6 pointed star:

Image taken from Christian Rosenkreutz’ tomb.

I have cut out and zoomed into the 6 pointed star from the above picture and added my comments:

6 Poined Star Explanation

This 6 pointed star is also the emblem of the Theosophical Society.  There is also a huge connecting between the 6 pointed star and the 5 pointed star (pentagram). But I wont go into that, the above should suffice.

Notice how Marichen Conradie’s design has the triangle pointing upwards of a lighter colour and the triangle pointing down a darker colour

Comments by Marichen taken from her website, with my comments below:

INRI

= Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum (Latin inscription, nailed onto the cross) = Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews

[DTW note: Marichen Conradie this inscription was an INSULT.  The Romans nailed this to His cross as an INSULT to Jesus.  This is not meant in a good way at all.]

“All hail King Jesus, all hail Emanuel…King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Bright Morning Star.”  (Rev. 19 : 16 and 22 :16)

[[DTW note: She quotes this verse but without knowing the above, you would not realise that the Bring Morning Star she is referring to is NOT Jesus Christ.  This verse is twisted.  Her ‘Morning Star’ is actually ‘The Start of the Dawn or ‘Blazing Star’ and represents the resurrection of Horus into Amsu (Horus was supposedly the first god/man).]

“The whole Bible was written by Jews (with possibly the exception of the author Luke)…”

[[DTW note: She denies the Word of God by saying this.  No!  It was completely inspired by God written with human hands.]

Magazines and Book Stores who promote Glenns book:Joy Magazine

  1. Glenn’s book is available through Gospel Direct amongst other ‘Christian’ book stores, click following link:
  2. Joy Magazine advertised this book in December 2008 with a rave review:  www.joymag.co.za [3]
  3. Also advertised in www.todaymagazine.co.za [3]
  4. List of more ‘Christian’ book stores who stock this book:

[[DTW note: I would really like to know if the above book stores and magazines actually READ the book before deciding to support it. If they did read the book, I would like to know who took the decision to advertise/sell the book.  I would also like to know how these Book Stores/Magazines choose the people who will ultimately classify these heretical writings as Christian.]

Info added:  19 June 2009

This is paid for advertising.  It seems these Christian publications will print anything if you cough up the bucks.  They do seem to have some limitations though – the content of the article needs to seem like it’s Christian.

Also to print adverts like this costs a serious amount of money, let’s not even mention the money needed to print the few thousand books Glenn printed in advance.  Ponder, Ponder…

Also something I have not researched, maybe someone can help here.  How much does it cost to get a spot on Jeremy Mansfield – The Rude Awakening show on Highveld 94.7?  Is it really for free?

94.7 Highveld Stereo

Wednesday 04 December 2008

“The Rude Awakening”, hosted by Jeremy Mansfield on radio Highveld, is doing a show on Wednesday 04 December, on spiritual issues such as ghosts, haunting, demons, spirits and issues around spiritual activity. This was prompted by the show of this Tuesday (25th) where ‘cleansing’ of houses, ghosts, and demon spirits were discussed.

Due to public interest to radio Highveld, a subsequent show is dedicated to this topic next Wednesday 4th December from 6-9am.

Pastor Glenn Grant of Reality Bible Ministries in South Africa and Botswana has been asked to be a guest on the radio show. He is an ex medium, occultist, and Satanist. God has opened the doors for Pastor Glenn to present the truth of God’s Word around these issues

“God takes the foolish things of this earth to confound the wise!” [6]

Anyhow, Glenn goes around telling everyone he is an ex medium, occultist, and Satanist who has studied 30+ religions.

Well Glenn, if you ever were a medium, occultist and satanist you still are one. But for many reasons  I think you never were because of your lack of knowledge on these subjects.  For someone who has studied over 30 religions you surely are clueless.  All this of course makes you a liar and a very very dangerous person.

I really pray that all the people caught up in your ‘church’ heed the Holy Spirit’s warning to them and run away from you as fast as they can.

    Hi

Iam uncertain bout something. Glenn and Sue is involved in our lives at this moment. found all this info on him after i got bit worried about how he acts. he has all this stories obviously started wondering how much is true… i would like to find out more about them. Sue looks so nice and innocent and actually bit scared of him always asks permission for everything.Says she is qualified Chef but i doubt it… anyway i thing i will rather take the advice and RUN!!i dont know how to get into contact with anyone i dont want to leave my details here …

  3. uncertain

I believe Sue is trapped and can’t get out, having said that, it seems like she wants to be there as well – love it very blind.

I can’t comment on the Chef business, but I do know that Grant is dangerous and a false teacher. Put on your tekkies and run.

For solid biblical teaching please hang around and read DTW 🙂

    hi

great hearing from someone so quick!!

Yes also think in some way she loves it or it doesnt bother her. She sometimes does look scared… She hasnt been at there business few days. They bought a shop in Port Elizabeth… i will keep an eye thanks but will run as soon as i get everything in place!!!where is everyone from? looks like they jump a lot?

  5. uncertain

We met them when they were in northern part of Johannesburg, that was a few years ago. They just recently moved to New Zealand but had to leave because they could not find work. When he realeased his book he constantly went on about having connections that it would be made into a big production film – I think he is still harping on this. It’s all false. He even told me he wrote columns for Charisma Magazine. I laughed because that is when I realized this guy was as false as can be. Charizma Magazine is New Apostolic and Prophetic. I didn’t know they were living in PE – and bought a shop? Who payed? Someone is always coughing up money for them under some sort of scam. As you can see from the comments by some of his family members, his whole ‘Satanist’ story is nothing but a lie, even so far as to drag his fathers character through the mud. Also the doctrine he preaches is totally false. Its a mixture of Word of Faith and Dominionism and a lot of other nonsense in between – like psychology.

I wish you lots of luck, and please pray for others caught up in his ‘cult o’ rama’ that they too leave before they are taken in by him and lose a few notes out of their wallets.

    Hi

I took my stuff and ran mid Jan. Thy bought our coffeeshop 1 Dec 2012. Wanted me to stay on i stayed, but mid Jan couldnt handle it anymore. He called me one side one day after i questioned my pay(he was always full of promises) he crapped me out that iam ungrateful, rude, ive got an attitude ect ect. But if never been any of that iam a very soft ,honest hard working person.

So couldnt stay there anymore. The shop is already strugeling financially (i think he pockets money, always used to run to bank when sue not there).
All the tenants in center hates him. All known me for 10 years of owning the coffeeshop, so when i go there to buy groceries everyone stops me and complains about him. He is a scary man!! sue has become just as arrogant. But i would too with a husband like that.

Her father signed of money in a trust on her name . Everything is on her name!!!

Yes he always full of stories about his actors, movies and so called job office . Once he told me he was asked to run the worlds biggest news station Aljazeera that was the biggest joke of all. !!!!

  7. Uncertain

Be certain that you made the right decision to leave. I hope you got paid out in full for the coffee shop and they didn’t swindle you. Why did you sell anyhow?

All I can do is hang my head in shame on behalf of these people…shocking stuff.

LOL @ Aljazeera story. Reminds me of the time he told me he wrote articles for Charisma magazine. I contacted Charisma magazine and they of course had never heard of him.

I’m finding these posts and comments a little one sided; perhaps the more objective comments were never posted by the website owner. Should this comment not go live, this will definitely be the case.

Firstly, everyone posting here seems to have some personal agenda. Glenn’s sister is unhappy because Glenn has said some things about her family. Uncertain is upset because she lasted one month in an environment where she was the person of authority for many years and now she isn’t. Glenn’s wife’s friends are unhappy because they believe she should be reacting in a way that they expect. And then, of course, you have those that love to spread disunity in the Christian community by finding a devil under every stone.

There is a reason you should never take as ‘Objective Truth’ everything you read on the internet; every Tom, Dick and Harry can have a website. I think some objectivity would go a long way to give credibility to what seems to be a mission of a handful of women who were ‘spurned’ in some or other manner.

  10. Warra warra

First you are sticking your nose into business that is not yours. Second, you can only add ‘objective comment’ if you actually know what you are speaking about. Third, you comment aids no one. Fourth, go warra warra elsewhere.

You are quite right in saying that we shouldn’t believe everything we hear or read on the internet. The Bible warns us to be vigilant and not to take everything for granted. In fact Paul wrote:

But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him]. (1 Corinthians 2:15)

So let’s examine the Messianic Pendant in the light of God’s Word. We are told that the Messianic Pendant is supposed to remind you of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Read here). Nowhere in the entire Bible are we told that icons, crosses, pendants, paintings or anything else ought to remind us of Jesus Christ’s cross (death, burial and resurrection). Anyone who uses these stuff to remind them of Jesus is over their heads into idolatry.

Jesus gave us but a single thing to remind us of his death, burial, resurrection and Second Coming to the earth – His Holy Communion (I’m not talking about the RCC’s eucharistic cup of abomination because that too is but idolatry) (Luke 22:19).

  12. WarriorOfTruth says:

I’m finding it quite telling how Glenn Grant’s business on a public portal is not Warra Warra’s but certainly seems to be everyone else’s. I am personally acquainted with ‘Uncertain’ and feel some self protecting propaganda is at play within her comments and motivations on this particular site. When she and her parents ran the shop they took a lot of unclaimed cash home, so the accusation of Glenn ‘pocketing’ money is sanctimonious, to say the least. Never mind the fact that they falsely claimed a certain income from the shop to their potential buyers (including the Grants, in all likelihood). They even threatened to sue a real estate agent for truthfully divulging the financial status of the shop to interested buyers. I feel it’s important that people are aware of the kind of people who go around slamming others so violently when they themselves are not worthy of their halo’s outside of the forgiveness of Jesus Christ. I’d also like to thank Mr. Lessing for his approach to the topic. Quite refreshing in the midst of others’ rants and tirades. Yes, the bible is clear on symbolism. However, it’s also important to note that idolatry involves the element of worship. Simply wearing the pendant cannot be unilaterally declared as being in a state of idolatry.

  13. Warrior

    >> Yes, the bible is clear on symbolism. However, it’s also important to note that idolatry involves the element of worship. Simply wearing the pendant cannot be unilaterally declared as being in a state of idolatry.

What does the bible say? It’s not your personal opinion that matters but the bible that matters. The pendant is evil as has been shown in the article, it’s not Christian. That is idolatry. The person wears the pendant to represent God, in this case it represents ANOTHER God, not the God of the bible.

    >> Simply wearing the pendant cannot be unilaterally declared as being in a state of idolatry.

Yes it is, you are sinning and you are committing idolatry. Remove the pendant and ask Jesus for forgiveness and you will be forgiven immediately and you will no longer be committing idolatry.
It’s that simple, but people don’t want to listen to God, they prefer the world’s little evil treasures and trinkets instead.

Warra warra is probably Glen Grant himself! that coffee shop ran perfectly for 11 years… had many regular customers! i was one of them… most customers knew each other from somewhere. i spoke to a few and each had different stories they told them including me. funny how the only one thing everyone always agreed on was the fact that he always sat behind the counter EATING!
The previous owner never wanted to sue the agent Glenn actually spoke of sueing… They gave all the proper financials from SARS etc. everything was correct. Glenn never wanted to listen to owner how he did things , wanted to do things his own way… i was there i saw it. they worked with them for while everything was booked through everything was legit! obviously warra warra i mean Glenn wants to cover himself.PE is small place everyone is connected in some way! anycase uncertain i know the truth so do many others! you always did a great job. i know how Glenn treated you accusing you of thing … funny the after she left he used the same accusations after on other staff… just because he promises stuff that never materialized …. any case enough said . i and many others know…

I have not flitted in and out of comments. I am indifferent to Glenn’s stories and schemes as they have life long. I do not care who or what he says he is until he plays the orphan, abused by alcoholic father who deserted him, but not before he taught Glenn to me a satan worshipper. Here is where we get touchy – he has SO many relatives and 3 siblings who only want him to stop with his media – hyped background. All sensation, no truth. Deboraha has my contac details.

Please don’t use my full name, just call me Sister. 5000 copies of Second Son were sent to a recycler today by the people who published it and paid for it, as it didn’t sell. The musical Glenn was writing for end of 2015 never materialized. The actors who auditioned for the screen play have never questioned why the film never materialized. The sequel to Second Son has never materialised. If he is not running a cult, then why does no one question his claims. As if life isn’t complicated eniuugh. The two ladies who claimed they could, only get to Sue via Glenn, contacted me and them continued to have contact with them.I am just sstaggeed that no. People have related his promises to actual outcomes. What on earth hoes through minds?

  19. Sister

This is what happens to people when they are being manipulated by a cult leader. They believe what he says, and they continue to believe what he says until hopefully their lights come on and then it’s too late down the road and harder to get out of his grip. People genuinely have faith in other people and don’t expect to be lied too, people want to believe that what they are hearing is the truth and this is why people get caught out.
