Kim Clement – “Obama is God’s Man”
I have not been following the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) bandits for a while now, because the Emergent movement took front stage in South Africa and I needed to focus on that. But I thought it was time to go back and peek into the cracks to see what was and has transpired within the NAR camp and oh my, things are not good. Not that I expect it to be good…err.
So Kim Clement (born in South Africa) is at it again. This time with his Obama prophecy. For once he actually got something right, however the ‘god’ he speaks about and gets his information from is NOT the One and only living God who sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for our sin.
Another reason for posting this ‘prophelie’ is because of his focus on Africa.
So here we go, brace yourself for the words of Kim Clement, taken from The Elijah list
March 29, 08 – Obama Prophecy
THE MIDDLE EAST
God says, “There is a sway in the political arena; a change in your political world. Enough of this discussion about Jeremiah Wright.” God said, “This makes no difference. It is a spirit that has endeavored to rock and sway the people and to divide them.” God said, “I will sway it next week. Yes, I will, and because of Pennsylvania, I will raise up the man I want,” says the Lord, “to rule and to reign and to declare victory in the Middle East.”
We declare victory in the Middle East tonight. We declare victory in America tonight.
For the Spirit of God says, “Hear, oh people of Zion. Those who have been afraid in Zion, those who have been afraid in this nation–fear not! For your news media has intimidated you, and therefore, it is My turn. Next week, I will arise. I will change everything.”
“I’M TALKING ABOUT OBAMA”
For they have unfairly spoken against an African man, and I’m not talking about Jeremiah Wright; I’m talking about Obama. For God said, “Even though you may think this or that, there is an element of righteousness inside of him to reach out for Jesus. Therefore, I will sway it next week,” says the Spirit of God, “and I will cause My man, My power–to exalt in the White House what is necessary to declare victory. For this time, I shall rise up and I shall make known who I am in a way that I have never done it in this nation,” says the Lord.
“DO NOT SAY IT IS THIS ONE OR IT IS THAT ONE”
For the Spirit of God says, “Do not say, ‘Is it this one or is it that one?’ Hear me out. I am raising up My mantle, My voice. This nation shall be awakened to a spiritual activity that has been dead for 42 years. Listen to Me,” says the Lord. “I will take over in a way and in a fashion that will bring a force of spiritual unity in this nation for the first time. You can believe it or not. I will take white and I will take African, and I will bring a unity in the Church between the two of them,” says the Spirit of God.
This night in America and in this next week, God has informed us to “watch” as He unfolds and reveals things so you will know that your nation has not been set aside for division and discord; but a time in the Church where African-American, where white or Caucasian, where Hispanic and every race in this nation under the spiritual guidance of the Spirit within a midst of war and division–will bring them to a place of unity.
“IT SHALL NOT BE BLACK, IT SHALL NOT BE WHITE, IT SHALL NOT BE HISPANIC”
And God said, “Where one race stood on the steps and covered the fields with million-men marches and Jesus proclamations, there shall be one of the greatest gatherings at the Capitol that you have ever seen,” says the Spirit of God. “This time it shall not be black, it shall not be white, it shall not be Hispanic, it shall not be from this or that belief, but there shall be a unified sound. Two years from now, where they will hear the sounds of faith and unity and within this next reign, there will be laws that will be changed in favor of the most High God. Not because of Democrat, not because of Republican, but because of spiritual unity and intervention. I will bring you out of what they call ‘a recession’ into your highest economy that you’ve ever had in your next four years,” says the Spirit of God. “Do not think it impossible, for it shall be so.”
“The gatekeepers (I am speaking of) of this nation are the spiritual leaders–the Apostles and the Prophets, the Teachers, the Evangelists, the Pastors”
“For the gatekeepers of this nation are not the Mayors nor the Senators. The gatekeepers of this nation are not the Congressmen or the Congresswomen. Yes, they are gatekeepers but the gatekeepers (I am speaking of) of this nation are the spiritual leaders–the Apostles and the Prophets, the Teachers, the Evangelists, the Pastors that I’ve raised up. And there shall be a sound of unity that will call from Heaven the manifestation of God as it has never been in this nation. Get ready for your sons and your daughters who will prophesy just like Joel said in the last days. In the last days your sons and your daughters, they shall be prophets and prophetesses and your old men shall dream dreams. Your young men shall have visions. This is that time,” says the Lord of hosts.
“LET NOT YOUR OPINION CLOUD YOUR SPIRITUAL MIND”
“Let not your opinion cloud your spiritual mind. You say, ‘What are you saying?'” The Spirit of God says, “Call them not denominations, rather abominations, for I am not speaking of these that have built walls. I’m speaking of the true warriors that shall sway the political field; that will sway the justice. It shall be more than a million gathered; more than a million gathered!” And God said, “They shall say, ‘Washington, what is this? This is a sound that we have never heard before.'”
“I WILL TAKE THE OIL CRISIS AND BRING IT TO AN END”
And God said, “I will take the entire Northeast and I will shake it and the double portion that I promised upon the Elisha generation shall be released. Do not say we are in recession, for I will take the oil crisis and bring it to an end, and the rapidity of it shall take place because of the unity of the saints and the unity of the gatekeepers. Get ready, for what you have seen on the television regarding Jeremiah Wright and everybody else is not for evil, but for good. I will turn it around and bring unity in My house,” says the Lord of Hosts.
“YOUR PRESENT PRESIDENT WILL NOT LEAVE HIS OFFICE OR HIS TERM IN SHAME”
“Your present President will not leave his office or his term in shame. There will be a very precise vindication of numerous things that were scorned, that were mocked by men, that thought they knew but understood nothing. And when the baton is handed over,” God said, “there shall be no fear in the nation.” Now take that and be secure.
I speak not as a politician tonight. I speak to you as a prophetic voice. Not tolerated, but celebrated by the people. Stand firm, you and your house will serve the Lord. And as the prophet Joel said in the last days, your sons and your daughters… sons and daughters are being raised up to prophesy and to have visions. Old men to dream the dreams. That mantle has been cast upon the Church. Therefore, I would say your time of acceleration has reached its peak. You’re taking off!

KIM CLEMENT LEADING MILLIONS ASTRAY
Kim Clement is leading thousands of people astray with this false teaching and false prophecies. Kim Clement is not the only one to prophecy that Obama is ‘God’s man’. Joel Osteen has done the exact same thing. But which god are the speaking about? Certainly not the Living God of the Bible, no. More like Allah.
This is to anyone who is following Kim Clement, please I beg of you to open your eyes and take notice of these blatantly obvious false teachers. Pray, ask God to help you see the truth. Please.

By the way, ‘Sis’ is the English (South Africa) version of the Afrikaans word ‘Sies’ which means disgusting or yuck.
Obama has quite a few religeous personalities backing him eg, Benny Hinn and now Kim Clement. Maybe he should get them on staff as image consultants!

No, discernment does not come from necessarily reading every word of a ‘prophecy’. That is sleight of hand; purposely pointing the reader in the wrong direction under the auspices of trying to help the reader ‘discern’. By the very fact that the prophecy is posted on the Elijah list shows an endorsement of this ‘prophecy’. That in itself is misleading.
Discernment comes from learning the bible verse-by-verse in expositional fashion and then rightly dividing the word of truth. If it becomes a little bit tricky God may give you the gift of discerning of spirits – I personally believe this only applies to prophecy because of the context that it is written in – to be able to discern what spirit is behind the prophecy.
Discernment is not a feeling or intuition. It comes from a sound knowledge of scripture and testing to see if what these people are saying is in harmony with God’s already declared truth.
Ironically this prophecy has a measure of truth. It is God that raises up empires, he puts one down and raises up another leader. So Obama is ‘god’s man’ but not to lead the nation into righteousness but rather as a hammer of judgment for 50 Million aborted babies, the pro homosexual agenda, chucking prayer and God out of schools, teaching evolution and blatantly denying the creator, worshiping the creation rather than the creator…and so on.
The worst punishment you can get is when god gives you what you want. For instance, you are married and lust after that secretary. If you get what you want it may be the worst thing to happen to you. When the world political and ecumenical leaders come together and ask ‘god’ to bring them into unity and get rid of those that oppose this unity (aka bible believing Christians) God may just hear their prayers and grant them their wishes… (and then the rapture! They all may even thank god for this, who knows?)
Kim is right – we should pray for leaders. But my prayer is that Obama would repent and come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and stop pursuing his globalist agenda. (Did nobody read the tower of Babel and how God is angry when what is uniting all the people is actually an anti-God, God-opposing agenda where man becomes his own, elevated god?)
Kim is clearly speaking under the influence of a different spirit – The Spirit of God brings division, NOT unity with pagans, Israel hating preachers, mystics and new agers.
And wow! The prophecy is laden with ‘peace’ here and there and ‘Obama will not leave is office in shame’. The exact opposite has to be true.

Heya dude, me thinks this is no so..
I believe every born again Christian has the gift of discernment of spirits – there is a standard package that comes with the Holy Spirit when He comes to live in you. If you don’t have the Holy Spirit in you then you have another spirit. Also wanting to read scripture and rightly dividing the Word of truth is again something from the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit in ones life, or without the Holy Spirit speaking to an ‘almost’ lost Christian there is no hope and no discernment and they will never want to read scripture correctly. And you are correct re prophesy. All prophesy is in the Word of God and yes that indeed does take time and studying to figure out because one wants too again because of God in your life.
Having said that, not everyone will be me (thank goodness, no one wants to be me, I am nuts), or you, or Joe down the road, or Amanda, or Jacob Prasch or John MacArthur. But everyone who has the Holy Spirit in them will be able to discern – still have the choice though to go one way or choose the other way, then you turn out like Rick Warren or Kim Clement, or worse, everyone starts to look like Rob Bell.
I don’t think anyone has read about the Tower of Babel. Hopefully after your comment they might look it up. Ryan, are you listening 😉

It’s actually a case of definition; when I was first saved, I started off in a Charismatic-word-of-faith church. Even then, without having any in-depth knowledge something just did not sound right or add up in some of the teachings. A baby Christian has a level of protection against the more blatant wolves such as the JWs and the mormons that prowl our neighbourhoods, even they can tell something just ain’t right. You rightly say that this is a work of the Holy Spirit.
However, only in time – as you study the word – can you intellectually begin to dismantle many of the ideas that come attached to erroneous teaching. The Holy Spirit does not drop instant knowledge from heaven. That’s not how it works, nor am I saying that is what you alluded to – just stating that for emphasis.
Some bible scholars, myself included, put the most emphasis on biblical literacy first. True born again Christians are being seduced because of the dumbing down of Christianity and a lack of understanding of fundamental doctrines. I could stop there and say ‘where is the Holy Spirit and the gift of discernment of spirits in this case’? Well, that’s not how it works, the same one that began a good work (the Holy Spirit) will lead one into all truth – and obviously, and eventually, away from the bad teaching.
I don’t believe discernment is essentially a gift, I believe that discernment is a biblical mandate for all Christians to test all things and prove all things. However, at the same time some Christians just have a knack at spotting error quicker than others. My view is that this is dependant on your Christian background, history and what you have been taught.
I do believe that there is a supernatural intervention where the Holy Spirit just gives you wisdom and an ability to cut through the subtlety of deception – a supernatural ability where human ability or intellect alone would not suffice. But I don’t believe this is a gift for every believer. I believe it is a gift to the body of Christ as a whole and God uses whom he will, but not to individuals, all the time. (To rephrase the same question – If this gift was given to every believer why are so many Christians in error?)
I am sure we can differ on this one and still come to the same conclusion. I see it more as a difference in definition.

What would Paul the apostle who was given the Word in His vists with the Lord, and proclaimed it in his apostolic epistles say about Kim Clement? I almost hate to think of the anathemas Paul or any other early apostle would pronounce on this prattle, or of the fury of God that Clement will face someday when he stands in the Lord’s presence and gives account of all his so-called “prophecies”, which are nothing but his own imaginings and have nothing to do with the Gospel, the eternal destiny of lost souls, and/or more important of what the eternal Son of God came here to do as He offered His body as a sacrifice for our sins (see Hebrews 9). The world is in such a mess now with emergent guess-work going on in the name of God, and the political loonacy of the leaders of the world, little wonder the youth today can’t think about much of anything worthwhile, except to play their electronic games and blab on their cell phones. This generation was trained by the media and Hollywood to give pious respect to the occult world, particularly startin gwith the demon called “E.T.”) andnow don’t have a clue as to what is about to break on humanity, namely the devil incarnate and the biggest deception he could ever concoct, only to end up with the Lord Jesus Christ finally having to come down and stop the madness before everything is vaporized. My advice is go back to your Bible and read the gospel of John and find out how to get genuinely ready to meet the Lord, because that’s the only hope and real sanity we’ve got left—or should I say the only thing that matters or ever did matter. I am seeing an upsurge in racism the world over, however as far as the church is concerned I’m not sure I am seeing this so called unity he speaks off, unless I’m missing something.
As an American who lost 30 pounds under the Obama admin due to cost-cutting in the schools and economic hardship, it’s funny to look back at things like this. It’s terrible what they’ve done. I could go on and on about the wickedness we’re still dealing with because of that man. He’s indirectly responsible for ISIS too.
