The latest greatest fad is to sign your name to documents.  Pledge, vow, promise to not do this and not do that.  Pledge, vow, promise to do this and that.  But is it just a fad or something more?  Are people being conditioned to signing forms to pledge their allegiance to something or another?

In South Africa we have Unashamedly Ethical.  A multi-faith movement that wants you to sign a form that you will uphold their prescribed morals and values.  Once you have signed your details will be added to their database.

During the Soccer World Cup another pledge found it’s way out of the dark into the open. 1 GOAL. They don’t want your money, they just want your signature.  What for I ask?  The governments of Europe have already promised to pay for Africa’s education, why do they want your signature?  They tell you it’s to make those who promised to pay, keep their promises.  Yeah, right, and pigs fly. Millions of people are signing… adding themselves to the online database.

220 Generation run by Ivin Viljoen – A False teacher teaching our youth in South Africa.

I have been meaning to write an article about 220Generation www.220generation.com and Ivin Viljoen for a while, but it’s been a difficult one only because reading his newsletters he sends out regularly are so full of false teaching it’s nauseating to read.  But the time has come that I expose this man for what he really is.  A False Prophet! 

Firstly I want to mention this:  Ivin Viljoen takes preaching from pretty much every minister out there;  bad and good, mostly bad though.  He leads the youth in South Africa astray with mixed messages.  One minute he points towards men who preach the gospel and the next minute he points towards blatantly evil men who preach a false gospel.  He is a master of disguise.

I first found out about Ivin Viljoen when I found an small book he had written called “Vision for a generation” on Faith of the Martyrs (FOTM) run by Doug Perry (a man who has taken multiple ‘spiritual’ wives over and above his real wife).  This book by Ivin explained a vision he had of an Army of God, the youth raising up and taking back the earth for Jesus. 

I emailed Ivin to warm him that his vision was completely unbiblical.  The answer I received from him contained contradictions

Johannesburg – A Christian church is facing action from the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) after repeatedly claiming to heal the blind, the lame, and people with HIV Aids or cancer.

This follows a complaint that the Johannesburg church, Solid Rock, is playing on the “desperation, ignorance and gullibility” of those who come to it, gathering large sums of money in the process.

The complaint, lodged in April this year by a member of the public, is not the first against the church.

The ASA has ruled on five previous occasions that Solid Rock has failed to substantiate its claims of people getting healed of diseases and broken bones, and has each time instructed the church to stop making them.

The latest complaint followed a church advertisement in the Northcliff/Melville Times saying:

“Bring the blind, the lame, Aids and cancer victims. 43 Crutches! 25 Walking sticks! 2 White canes from blind people! Already left behind!”

The ASA said the church’s pastor, Johan van Wyk, had submitted in response that the advertisement made no claims, and merely “encourages people to bring everybody. The crutches etc are hanging in its church so there is no false claim”.

In a ruling released on Tuesday, the ASA rejected this.

“The respondent is clearly continuing to make unsubstantiated healing claims despite an instruction not to do so,” it said.

Back in the day gifts were bestowed on the disciples that they would be able to go out and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ successfully.  One of the gifts was the ability to speak in tongues.  Many people today who speak in tongues seem to think that tongues is a heavenly language. But this is not true.  Genuine tongues is an earthly language.  The gift given to the disciples enabled them to communicate with people from other nations who spoke other languages, how else could they spread the gospel.

All genuine Christians believe that the gift of tongues existed as mentioned in Scripture. 

1 Corinthians 12:8-11   “8To one is given in and through the [Holy] Spirit [the power to speak] a message of wisdom, and to another [the power to express] a word of knowledge and understanding according to the same [Holy] Spirit;   9To another [wonder-working] faith by the same [Holy] Spirit, to another the extraordinary powers of healing by the one Spirit;  10To another the working of miracles, to another prophetic insight (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose); to another the ability to discern and distinguish between [the utterances of true] spirits [and false ones], to another various kinds of [unknown] tongues, to another the ability to interpret [such] tongues.  11All these [gifts, achievements, abilities] are inspired and brought to pass by one and the same [Holy] Spirit, Who apportions to each person individually [exactly] as He chooses”.

Verse 10 mentions the gift of speaking in tongues and also mentions

Visitors to the Israeli cities of Netanya and Eilat take immediate notice of the frequency with which French and English (British) are heard in the streets.  In the larger Israeli cities, one hears a variety of different European languages being spoken.  Jews are once again fleeing their countries in the wake of the resurgence of anti-Semitism. Europe has apparently ended its moratorium on this foul bigotry. Since the 1980s, incidents have been steadily increasing. 

The question that one must ask is whether what is happening is the result of Israeli governmental policies, or are they simply an excuse for the renewal of hatred and violence against Jews.  Two millennia of anti-Judaic hatred taught by the Catholic Church cannot be completely reversed in short 45 years – despite the meaningful changes made by the Church following the Second Vatican Council and Nostra Aetate. When one adds to the mix the approximately 52 million European Muslims, with their radical Islamic teaching and violent Koranic verses against Jews, the result has been a growing rejection of any guilt related to the murder of six million Jews perpetrated by European Christians.There are some European governments, though, that are increasing their vigilance against anti-Semitic hate crimes.  For example, in the Netherlands, the Digital Journal reported on June 23, 2010, that “Dutch police will be using ‘decoy Jews’ to try and catch anti-Semitic attackers in Amsterdam. Johannesburg – The ANC on Thursday paid tribute to former president Nelson Mandela likening him to Moses, who rescued the Israelites.

“Madiba is like the biblical Moses, who took the children of Israel from the land of bondage to the promised land, the land of milk and honey,” spokesperson Jackson Mthembu said in a statement.

“We salute his leadership and his selflessness,”

Mthembu urged South Africans and the world to dedicate 67 minutes of their time to those less fortunate to celebrate Mandela’s birthday on Sunday.

“This is a day when all of us, regardless of our race, sexual orientation, cultural beliefs and our political orientation and affiliation, must say in unison, thank you Madiba.

“Thanking him for his show of leadership and love to humanity.”

‘True democrat’

He said the ANC would have failed in its duty if it did not learn from Mandela.

“… Apart from making a call to all South Africans and the world, the ANC will practically engage in a programme that will ensure that we replicate what Madiba stood for.”

Mandela was a “true democrat, a revolutionary and a selfless leader”.

“As he has said many times that ‘it is in our hands’. Madiba is correct; it is now up to us to qualify what Madiba said and do something useful for our communities.”

There are many rumours on threatening xenophobia (hatred of foreigners) which are circulating in South Africa. They are not completely unfounded because South Africa is becoming a place of convergence for the whole of Africa. Unemployed people and criminals from all over Africa are streaming into our country because it has a reasonably strong economy and also offers possibilities for crime syndicates to flourish here. There is strong competition among workers in their struggle for survival, and this gives rise to the hatred of foreigners. Illegal immigrants are prepared to work for less money, in some cases only for food, thereby depriving local blacks of their source of income.

It is necessary to consider a number of factors which all play a role in xenophobia, lest one runs the risk of only seeing one of its aspects and over-emphasising that out of proportion:

There always used to be xenophobia in Africa, as is evidenced by the long history of inter-ethnic violence and tribal wars on the continent. Foreigners were either driven away and killed or subjected by military means and the surviving members (mostly women and children) assimilated into the society of the conquerors. Christianity experiences unprecedented attacks on its foundational truths. These attacks are motivated and coordinated by evil forces that are intent on deceiving all people as a prelude to revealing the Antichrist and physically establishing Satan’s kingdom on earth. Their main obstacle is biblical beliefs in the deity, atoning death, resurrection and second coming of Jesus Christ. As a result, attacks against evangelical Christianity are on the increase, being aimed at discrediting the canonical books of the Bible, and thus also the God and Saviour of the Bible.

When the Lord Jesus was asked about the signs indicating the nearness of His second coming He first and foremost mentioned the widespread occurrence of spiritual deception: “Take heed that no one deceives you. On 16 May 2010 Dr. Bruce Wilkinson preached at the Moreleta Park Dutch Reformed Church, Pretoria to 7 000 people. He did not preach from the Bible. Instead he exegeted the revival that started in Andrew Murray’s church.

Before coming to Moreleta Park, Dr. Wilkinson prayed that the Lord would set this church free again. He asked Him what is going to happen to this church in the next five years and “I got an immediate sense of an answer. Immediately He said;  ”Well, they will be onto their third service in five years. This will fill, this will fill a third time. [Applause] But they must break through in ways that they have not yet broken through.”

When Dr. Wilkinson heard that Moreleta Park had started small groups, he did not believe it, because it goes against the tradition of the Dutch Reformed Church to do something less formal and new.
