 AN OPEN LETTER TO MY BRETHREN

I recently listened to a testimony by a singer/performer who got saved.
He had been a boozing druggie until his salvation. When he got saved, his change was instant and dramatic, so much so that all his friends were in shock. They whispered behind his back that the drugs and booze had made him “flip out.”
“The booze and drugs have affected him so much that he is even speaking about Jesus” they said.
Some of his friends even wanted to get him to a doctor to help him recover from whatever it was that made him so radically different. They simply could not believe that what had happened to him was the real deal, and that he in fact was the one who was rational and sane. The reaction from his close associates and friends are amusing to us this side of the fence because we “know” something that can only be known deep within our spirit. We can fully understand their misreading of his condition from reprobate to redeemed.
