“Obadiah 1:15 For the day of the LORD draws near on all the nations. As you have done, it will be done to you. Your dealings will return on your own head. (NASB) Charisma magazine reports that self-proclaimed prophet to the nations, Cindy Jacobs, has just received a word about the American economy. Jacobs says the balance of the American economy depends on how you fast, pray, and cast your vote in the next election. She’s calling upon people to join her in a 40-day prayer challenge. Jacobs says: “This is not something that will be easily turned,” she said. “It will not be turned without a battle, a battle both through our prayers … [and] on our feet. We must vote with our feet for righteousness for these pro-life, pro-biblical values candidates. We must engage as we have never engaged before.” “I know that if we will do this that God is going to have mercy upon the nation,” she added. “He’s going to do miraculous things, things that no one else could do because He will give God-inspired, God-breathed ideas.” Jacobs doesn’t get it – she just doesn’t get it! There’s nothing wrong with praying for our country, but upon further scrutiny of Jacobs and her doctrine, you’ll find it’s just more hypercharismatic hysterics from a card-carrying member of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR).” ♦ <a href= http://slaughteringthesheep.wordpress.com/2010/07/27/cindy-jacobs-doesnt-get-it/>– Cindy Jacobs Doesn’t Get It –</a rel="nofollow"></a>

“The Evangelical Left’s penetration of American evangelical culture accelerated with Sojourners chief Jim Wallis’s high profile appearance at the annual “Lifest” Christian music festival in Oshkosh, Wisconsin earlier this month.Previously non-political and devoted to inspirational music and spiritual lectures for tens of thousands of American heartland Christians, Lifest seems to have crossed the threshold into the Evangelical Left orbit with Wallis’s entrance. Adding to the leftward slant was the less high profile but still significant appearance of anti-American pacifist preacher Shane Claiborne, a popular “urban monastic” who sinisterly equates America with ancient Babylon, the Roman Empire, and the Third Reich..” ♦ <a href="http://frontpagemag.com/2010/07/27/jim-wallis-crashes-evangelical-music-festival/" / rel="nofollow">–The Pearly Gatecrasher–</a>

“The Wikileaks release of 92,000 mostly secret documents on the Afghanistan War has produced no bombshell revelations, but it has revealed the dangers of the "open government" movement. The main impact of the document dump may be to teach the enemy how better to kill our fighting forces.
Reporters are naturally trying to find scandal in the massive document trove, but these are not the Pentagon Papers. Not all secret documents have news value or historical importance. Most of the 92,000 records - in fact, almost all of them - have no news value. Several thousand are unclassified or the classification is not noted, and the highest classification appears to be "secret," which is about at the level of detail and significance of most news reports..” ♦ <a href="http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/jul/26/leaking-death/" / rel="nofollow">–Leaking death

“HOSPITAL bosses who want to ban Bibles from patients’ bedside lockers have been attacked by religious leaders. They warned that sick people will be deprived of spiritual comfort just when they need it most.
The ban, at the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, is intended to help cut levels of infectious superbugs such as MRSA.Trust bosses said the Gideon International Bibles are hard to clean. They want all bedside areas in Queen’s Medical Centre and City Hospital kept tidy and “clutter-free” to stop deadly viruses breeding.
But Christian protesters said the holy texts pose a “minimal” risk of infection and called for the plans to be scrapped. A spokeswoman for the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham, which oversees 300 churches, said: “For many patients Bibles have been a source of comfort and support through uncertainty and illness. It is unsatisfactory that patients may now have to ask a nurse for a Bible to look at.”
She urged the trust to look at solutions such as shrink-wrapping or placing plastic covers on the Bibles. Hospital officials are now consulting staff, patients and chaplains before bringing in the ban. Director of nursing Jenny Leggott said: “We will take into account all needs and views before coming to a final decision.”Other religious texts and prayer mats are kept in the trust’s multi-faith centre and are available to all patients who want them.

“Johannesburg - 'n Herrie het losgebars om die kop van prof.
“This being the case, what can we say about the fact that a once Christian denomination--the Episcopal Church--and an Episcopal cathedral no less-- is welcoming a pagan group of witches onto their property? We might be dismayed, but why should we be surprised? So why be surprised when the same ladies take the short hop to fully fledged pagan Goddess worship? Fifteen years ago those of us who were opposed to this warned, "This is pagan and will lead to witchcraft in the church." Hate to say I told you so...
