Ron Martoia, much loved by South African clergy like Dr Stephan Joubert, Dr Dion Forster and Dr Guillaume Smit, lays it out:

“The little self is what spiritual teachers in all traditions have called the ego/false self/flesh/old life. The bigger self is what spiritual traditions have called the image of God in us, the mind of Christ, the Divine, Christ Consciousness and the True Self. Jesus invites you to a bigger mind. And we are going to practice our way to that new awareness and awakeness. This might be the single most important step in spiritual practice, waking up to and practicing awareness of our ego and the presence of a bigger mind. More sermons won’t help you friend and more attendance at church services won’t either. Feel free to engage those but realize they won’t help you on this front. For this you need a practice.” ♦ –The Transformational Trek Tribe Manifesto–

This is unbelievable! Dr. Ron berates the church for thinking of God as a Judge who will judge us by the Law and his solution to the problem is to keep that very Law, as if we could, if only we would indulge in his spiritual practices! Jesus Christ said:

And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” (Mat 22:35-40)

Dr. Ron, the great lover of men, wrote:

I asked a simple question and for a show of hands after I gave them the two options. Option #1 How many of you reflexively and without thought see God as someone who is out to help you, has your best interests in mind, and totally without reservation and no strings attached loves you? Option #2 How many of you reflexively and instantly see God as someone who’s primarily making sure we play by the rules, obey the book, and faithfully do the work we have been given to do?

Do you know what I found out? When surveying largely church staff members and some key volunteers leaders, well over 85% of all the people surveyed raised their hand for number two. Their reflexive gut level internal view of God is that he is watching us to make sure we play by the rules of the game. No wonder 16-29 year olds have the perception they have. We have fueled it by our view of God. The invitation Jesus makes is to a love of God and a love of others as if they were “self.” When we strip away our ethnicity, geography, education, upbringing, station in life and the host of things we often identify as the real me, what we find out is there is a core “me” that is just like the core “you.” You and I are the same, we are both made in the image of God. Our fundamental sameness far outweighs the surface differences. You can’t study your way, think your way, sermonize or bible study your way into experiencing the oneness we have with each other. But you can practice your way in though and this tribe is going to do just that.

Every great spiritual tradition and text has open ended, lavish, flagrant love as the goal. If we aren’t being more inclusive and less judgmental we have not love. If we aren’t able to be less gossipy and jealous and more forgiving and gentle we have not love. If we can’t relax and leave God’s work to God and quit thinking we need to help determine who is in and who is out, we have not love.

Invitation #5 is to a bigger, broader, richer, deeper love that is the most maturing force in the universe. The great mystics, and you will get exposed to many if you join the tribe, say there are three things that bring dramatic personal transformation. The first one is deep love. (If you are wondering about the other two you clear proof you need to join the tribe) The sense we are unconditionally loved by the Architect, Designer, Creator of the entire universe is where it all begins. We need to experience this love, grant this love, spread this love.

Dr. Ron, there is no practicing to keep God’s Law to get it right. You fail to keep it perfectly and the Holy One will judge you righteously and send you to hell as you so richly deserve

but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
    (Rom 5:8-10)

Dr. Ron, looking inside of yourself, doing your little mind altering practices and bargaining on your great love for men, will not save you from the wrath of God. Repent and put your faith in Jesus Christ who kept the Law perfectly on your behalf and bore your punishment on the Cross. You cannot be saved by Ron Martoia:

This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
    (Act 4:11-12)

“WASHINGTON – Evangelical pastor Rick Warren told a crowd of some 8,000 Muslim Americans that he wasn’t satisfied with just talking to them.“I will tell you that I am not interested in interfaith dialogue. I am interested in interfaith project. There is a big difference,” said Warren to attendees of the 46th annual Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) convention Saturday evening. “Talk is very cheap. You can talk and talk and talk and never get anything done. Love is something you do,” Warren maintained. “It is something we do together.” ♦ –Rick Warren to Muslims: Talk is Cheap, Let’s Work Together–

    Dr. Dion Forster:

“Today Ron released his ‘Transformational Trek Tribe Manifesto’ – it is a challenging series of invitations for authentic Christian living. As I read it my perceptions of the Christian faith and Christian living were challenged and reshaped. It is only 12 pages long, but perhaps these are among the best 12 pages I’ve read this year.” ♦ –A new way of ‘being community’ – Ron Martoia’s ttTribe Manifesto–

“Cash will be used in fewer than half of all transactions by 2015, according to an official report which suggests plastic is rapidly overtaking notes and coins in consumers’ pockets. Last year 59 per cent of the 37 billion transactions were done with cash, a sharp decline from the 73 per cent of transactions that were made with cash just 10 years ago.
According to the Payments Council, a trade body representing the banks, card and cash machine industry, this proportion will fall to below 50 per cent by 2015, and to 45 per cent by 2018. .” ♦ –Cash to be used in fewer than half transactions by 2015–

“Head of market analysis for Schneider Foreign Exchange Stephen Gallo told CNBC yesterday that the financial crisis will lead to the creation of a global central bank and a global single currency within 15 years, echoing the call of top globalists who have exploited the problems they created to push for a new world financial order.Highlighting the significance of the introduction of the Euro, Gallo said that the single currency was “where we are headed globally on a monetary basis over the course of the next 10 to 15 years.Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy all made the same appeal at a conference in Paris on the future of capitalism last month.”.” ♦ –Global bank, global currency within 15 years–

    “Tutu’s Crusade Against Israel [Excerpts]

At first blush, the suggestion that a Nobel Peace Prize winner would have anything in common with a pack of unabashed, poison-tongued Jew-haters seems preposterous. But Desmond Tutu, the former archbishop of Cape Town, South Africa, who in 1984 won the coveted Nobel award for his campaign against apartheid in that country, is today one of the most celebrated supporters of the “Divest from Israel” movement. Particularly widespread on university campuses across America, this movement routinely offers a high-visibility propaganda forum for some of the most rabid, combative anti-Semites of our time..” ♦ –Tutu’s Crusade Against Israel–

“The first tropical storm of the season has claimed 145 lives and officials fear many more people have been buried by landslides in remote parts of Central America. In Guatemala, the hardest-hit country, at least 120 people were killed by tropical storm Agatha and its aftermath, including a man who died when a huge sinkhole swallowed a three-story building in Guatemala City.” ♦ –145 Killed in Central America Storm–

“A new currency is intended to challenge the U.S. dollar as the world’s foremost reserve currency. The WOCU, short for world currency unit, was actually launched by London-based WDX Organization in September 2009, but only seems to be gaining recognition now.” ♦ –World currency unit intended to rival U.S. dollar for supremacy–

“PBS’s Tavis Smiley recently claimed that “every single day in this country” Christians commit terrorist acts. Interviewing the heroic ex-Muslim freedom fighter Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Smiley repeated common leftist dogmas about how Christian terrorists are more numerous and violent than Muslim terrorists, and have committed more terrorist acts inside the U.S. than Muslims have. Smiley’s views are silly, but they’re also ultimately misleading and dangerous, as they divert attention from the genuine threat from Islamic jihadists and, by sapping our civilizational self-confidence, weaken our ability and will to resist those jihadists. ” ♦ –Spencer: PBS: More Christian Terrorists Than Muslim Terrorists–

“Enraged by the BBC’s bias against them, supporters of the Jihad Flotilla storm the BBC offices in Manchester. The BBC’s bias against jihadists? What are these guys smoking? Do they want the BBC to give itself over twenty-four hours a day to communiques from Osama, Zawahiri and Anjem Choudary? If it did, would anyone notice a change?” ♦ –Not enough groveling to the jihad: Muslims storm the BBC–

“The group that has called its murders of Israeli civilians its “Glory Record” now claims that the killings of genocide-minded Islamic jihadists on the jihad flotilla amounted to “state-sponsored terrorism.” It’s yet another example of how jihadists never take responsibility for their actions and routinely accuse others of those things of which they themselves are guilty.” ♦ –Hamas projects its own guilt on Israel, decrying “state-sponsored terrorism” and “crimes against humanity”–

“Jihadist wolves the world over lick their chops as the dhimmi UN jumps to do the OIC’s bidding. In a sane world, the UN would have condemned Iran for its brutalizing of the anti-regime protesters last summer — as well as for its repeated violations of UN restrictions regarding its nuclear program.” ♦ –Thug-In-Chief: UN must “cut off” Israel’s hands–

“Jihad Flotilla propaganda, still ignoring the genocidal jihadist chants of the flotilla participants, and the fact that they attacked the Israelis first. ” ♦ –Thousands of dhimmis, Islamic supremacists, stealth jihadists, anti-Semites and fools protest Israeli self-defense across Europe and Middle East–

“As Turkey embraces, and attempts to lead, the latest jihad against Israel, Turkey’s Islamic supremacist Prime Minister fulminates about Israel’s acts of defense against the Hamas-linked Jihad Flotilla.” ♦ –Turks irked: Islamic supremacist Turkish PM says “Israel’s behavior should definitely, definitely be punished…Today is the beginning of a new age. Things will never be the same again.”–

“”At this time, Israel is located at a frontal outpost, where it fights the war of the enlightened, liberal, pluralist, open, and democratic world – in the huge struggle against the Islamic forces that threaten to take over the world and subjugate it to their green flag.” That is indeed what this is all about. And as Western leaders swallow whole the Palestinian jihadis’ propaganda narrative, they abet the West’s headlong rush to suicide.” ♦ –Jihad Flotilla battle not about Gaza, but about the clash between the forces of jihad and the West–

“VIDEO – The ongoing interrogation of passengers who were aboard the Marmara – the Gaza aid flotilla’s flagship – revealed that the majority of those who attacked the Israeli Naval Commandos boarding the ship have direct and indirect Global Jihad ties. Israel’s investigation has revealed some 100 people infiltrated the peace and humanitarian aid activists making their way to Gaza, with the explicit design to attack Israeli soldiers using cold arms.” ♦ –Interrogations reveal that most Flotilla “humanitarians” actually tied to global jihad — and were recruited specifically to attack Israeli soldiers–

“Davids said she had known the possibilities when she left. She had been covering Palestinian issues for some time and already had an idea of what she might face. She had wanted to be part of a team delivering medical supplies, and was not interested in anything military.” ♦ –SA journalist found–

“Obviously, many of those in the “Freedom Flotilla” were not engaged in a humanitarian mission. Had that been their prime motivation, they would have accepted Israel’s offer to escort them to Ashdod Port and arrange for the delivery of their supplies to Gaza, after security checks, over land. They also would have agreed without hesitation to convey a package from the family of the Israeli soldier held hostage by Hamas for almost four years in Gaza, Gilad Schalit.
…As the footage showed, the outnumbered, under-equipped and incorrectly prepared commandos found themselves not grappling with unruly peace activists or demonstrators, to whom they had been ordered to show “restraint,” but being viciously attacked before they had barely set foot on deck. The clips showed clusters of people swarming around each of the commandos, and beating them over and over with clubs and bars in scenes sickeningly reminiscent of the lynching of IDF reservists in the Ramallah police station 10 years ago.” ♦ –Analysis: The flotilla fiasco-Why did IDF underestimate terrorists?–

““Repentant” former megachurch pastor Ted Haggard will make a “surprise groundbreaking” announcement next Wednesday from his home in Colorado Springs, Colo., a spokesperson reported Thursday. It has been nearly four years since a former male prostitute claimed Haggard had paid him for sex over the course of three years and had also taken methamphetamines. The highly-publicized drugs and sex scandal led to Haggard’s resignation from the presidency of the National Association of Evangelicals, forced him out of the church he founded, and moved him and his family into two years of seclusion.” ♦ –Ted Haggard to Make ‘Groundbreaking’ Announcement–

“As the international community rushes to condemn Israel for the violence on board one of the ships in the Gaza flotilla, which left a reported 10 people dead and dozens injured, it is now obvious that the real purpose of this ‘armada of hate’ was not merely the further delegitimisation of Israel but something far worse. Gaza’s markets are full of produce, thousands of tons of supplies are travelling into Gaza every week through the Israeli-controlled border crossings, and there is no starvation or humanitarian crisis. It was always obvious that the flotilla was not the humanitarian exercise it was said to be.” ♦ –’Peace convoy’? This was an Islamist terror ambush–

“Today is the launching of a new book, co-authored by Leonard Sweet and Frank Viola. This marks the open marriage of the Emergent movement with the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). “The subject at hand is this British scholar’s contention that the remains of a 700-year-old bowl-shaped relic which he tracked down in a Zimbabwe museum storeroom in 2007 could be a replica of the Ark of the Covenant that carried the Ten Commandments. According to African legend, white lions of God and a two-headed snake guarded the “drum that thunders” in a cave in southwestern Zimbabwe’s sacred Dumbwe mountains. “The Prophetic Movement is a dark, evil wasteland teeming with false apostles, false prophets, hyper-heretics, false healers, and greedy, money-hungry con men and women, all of whom are overshadowed by Satan and his demonic forces.

From the Prophetic Movement came doctrines of demons such as: man is a “god” or “God;” Jesus took on Satan’s nature, sinned, and had to be born again in hell; God is subject to man’s desires and wishes; visits to heaven and hell; fabricated and lying signs and wonders; extra-Biblical dreams, visions, and revelations; man-infested manifestations; prosperity poverty; and one-on-one encounters with angels, Old Testament prophets, New Testament apostles, and “Jesus Christ”.

Has anyone here heard of Dr. David Owuor a so-called prophet from Kenya? I had someone who claims to have a discernment blog ask me to listen to him. I think this person actually believes he is a true prophet. I had never heard of him – can someone fill me in?

Nope, never heard of him. But Africa is loaded with WoF type churches and the guys believe they are prophets. We have the ZCC church will millions of followers. And I mean millions. The guy who runs it makes millions off of his followers too. There is another cult group in SA where the leader actually sits in a golden throne chair. And then Nigeria has TB Joshua. ‘Christianity’ and witchcraft go hand in hand in Africa. It’s terrible.

A planetary event is going to take place above the Earth

    By DR. DAVID OWUOR

Kindly note that that the Lord spoke with me last
night about a planetary event that will take place
    above the Earth.

There will be a few moons clustering and a planet with
its moon orbiting will come close.

Space scientists will discover this event and it will
    be reported in the news.

These will be the fulfillment of the end-time prophecy
of wonders in the Heavens as recorded in Joel 2:28-32.

“28. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will
pour out my Spirit upon all the flesh; and your sons
and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream
dreams, your youngmen shall see visions: 29. and also
upon the servants and upon the handsmaids in those
days will I pour out my Spirit.
    30. And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the
earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31.
the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon
into blood, before the great and the terrible day of
the Lord come. 32. And it shall come to pass, that
whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be
delivered; for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be
deliverance, as the Lord has said, and in the remnant
    whom the Lord shall call.”

Thanks Deborah – I had searched the net and couldn’t find anything negative about him. He has quite the following – I am finding more and more folks who claim Christ who are “out there” dabbling in dreams and extra-biblical revelations – folks who otherwise seem to have their feet firmly planted. It is totally bizarre. When I try to reason with them they won’t have any of it.

The affect of all of this scriptural manipulation is to both erode the authority of God’s Word and to give the appearance that what Scripture has to say isn’t really important. His servant

If you believe the false prophet or teacher’s word when it contradicts the Bible, then you have a problem.

Some questions that you can ask yourself: Do you believe that you are fully justified in front of God, because of Jesus Christ bearing all of your sins on the cross? Are you willing to exchange all of your unrighteousness and righteousness for Christ’s perfect righteousness? Do you have faith that Jesus Christ is exactly whom He claimed to be and do you think that He is worthy? Do you fear that He had left some part of your justification undone and that you have to supplement it with good works of your own? Do you constantly look to yourself, your feelings and performance and think you are pulling this off and becoming a ‘good’ person or despair because you just know you will never quite make it? Or are you keeping your eyes on Jesus Christ, the founder and perfecter of our faith? Is God’s assurances in His Word enough for you or do you seek signs and wonders?

    God’s Word says:

Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it– the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law. (Rom 3:19-28)

    His Servant,

This is a lonely time for those who honor truth and want to be discerning. That is a fact. But there is a remnant and we must ask the Lord to put us in touch with life-minded people who can encourage us. It is hard to find a church that is not legalistic but yet has sound doctrine. But pray and ask the Lord to direct you. In the meantime, immerse yourself into His Word along with some good commentaries. The ones that I suggest are those by H.A. Ironside. I especially love his commentary on Ephesians. I don’t trust any modern expositors other than my own pastor who I know personally. I have been blessed by the Ironside commentaries. You won’t find them in “Christian” book stores – but you can Google his name and find them online very reasonably at Christianbook.com. Some of them are even available in paperback.

He is not the only one that is good, but the only one I feel totally confident in recommending from personal experience. I don’t elevate him above the Bible, but I believe God gifted him to edify the Church not only during the time he lived, but for today.

As for your family, pray for them and show them by your example. If they are wrapped up in this they most likely will not listen as most are fiercely loyal when they are sucked in.
Pray for opportunities to share with them even a tidbit here or there. I had some dear friends who were Benny Hinn fans and followed other false teachers. I gave them documented into on Hinn and they refused to believe it. I had to let it go – they were both elderly and went to their graves falling for that stuff. I believe they were saved, but they were totally ignorant. Only God can open their eyes.

In seeking out a church, the doctrinal statement is often only window dressing, but it is still wise to check that out. Stay away from those who are Calvinist/Reformed even though they speak out against false teachers. (See the article on this site on Calvinism.)Then see what kind of programs they have and to whom they link.

Stay away from “Christian” TV which has been a snare for many. Stay away from anything that is a mixture of truth and error – never try to chew the meat and spit out the bones. You may swallow a bone and choke on it. People will give the excuse that no one has all the truth, but that is a copout. There is a big difference between truth and error which is really a lie of the enemy.

May the Lord bless you and grant you fellowship with those who can lift you up and encourage you.

“What we find is that the modern meaning of ‘unity’ has been swamped by influences other than Christian. The Ecumenical Movement as we have it today was formalised and instituted at the Edinburgh Conference of 1910. This led to the formation of the International Missionary Council. Its initiation resulted in the ‘Universal Christian Conference on Life and Work’, in 1925, plus the first World Conference on Faith and Order, which met in Lausanne, 1927. Later, these two bodies joined together in the World Council of Churches (WCC). (See Article on the WCC, which clearly shows it to be an unholy, unChristian body).Regional and national groups now contain Roman Catholics… and we need not doubt that they work night and day to bring non-Roman Catholics under the influence of Catholic thinking. Originally a ‘Protestant’ group, the Movement slowly involved non-Protestants and then Roman Catholics. Nowadays, especially within the WCC, the Movement has flowered into a macabre and sinister conglomeration of everything that is opposed to God and His Truth. Christians who join this Movement are acting sinfully, for they have embraced everything the Movement stands for. “PRETORIA (Reuters) – Wrapped in large blankets, long coats and hats pulled low, some 2,000 homeless people streamed into a vast church in a wealthy suburb of Pretoria on Wednesday night to hear a spiritual message and watch Bafana Bafana in the World Cup.The guests at the Moreleta Dutch Reformed church came from a nearby squatter camp, where small fires could be seen burning in the pitch black, to watch South Africa take on Uruguay, eat a hot meal and drink warm drinks on a bitterly cold night. After listening quietly to a talk from a visiting pastor, the homeless queued up to have their faces painted in South African colors before sitting in long rows in the modern church in front of two large screens to watch the Group A match. Head minister Dirkie van der Spuy told Reuters they had opened up their church, which can seat 7,200, so they could provide a warm base to feed and help those who would not otherwise be able to watch the game.“We’ve got people here from the vicinity who haven’t got TVs and are really mad about soccer,” he said.”Many of them are squatters in informal houses here around our church and we have a responsibility to reach out to these people, they haven’t got much.”The World Cup is really a wonderful time in our history as South Africans to reach out to people from all nations.”.” ♦ –Bafana Bafana bring cold comfort to homeless –

Buzy thinking how to do that um cr thingkie here mmmmm trying to find a new way but there is only one way….lol lol

And churches today don’t want to call the people to tell them about Jesus and the true Gospel Nope they rather lure them to a big sreen tv for a soccer game and then shout to the world oh look!! we are good to the poor.

And they will rather just say “spiritual message” than saying ” Gospel of Jesus Christ” .

You now the Bible say when we give to the poor your left hand should not now what the right hand does. Well this was on national tv and news. IS this is not looking for the lime light and boasting And completely opposite of what we read in the Word. When we give to the poor.

    Matthew 6:2-4 (Amplified Bible)

2 Thus, whenever you give to the poor, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites in the synagogues and in the streets like to do, that they may be [a]recognized and honored and praised by men. Truly I tell you, they have their reward [b]in full already.

3 But when you give to charity, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

4 So that your deeds of charity may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Just had to share this. I know so many people basing their life on this book and it is so so sad indeed.

“Can Christians live their best life now?”

“Answer: Joel Osteen’s book Your Best Life Now has caused many people to seek their “best life now.” Among the claims Mr. Osteen makes are “God wants to increase you financially” (page 5). He goes on to explain that this quest for financial and material increase is actually pleasing to God. No doubt, Osteen is sincere in what he says and believes that wealth and success really are the way to happiness. But is that what the Bible says? Does God want all His children to be wealthy, and does He tell us that is the way to find happiness? More importantly, is our best life now or is our best life in the world to come?

To say that life on this earth is the best you can have is absolutely true—if you’re not a Christian. The non-Christian lives his best life in the here and now because his next life is one of no hope, no joy, no meaning, no satisfaction and no relief from eternal suffering. Those who have rejected Jesus Christ will spend an eternity in “outer darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.” This phrase is used five times (Matthew 8:12, 22:13, 24:51, 25:30; Luke 13:28) to describe the miserable existence of those who are thrust into it at the moment of their deaths. So, seeking to “live it up” while they can makes perfect sense for them because they really are living their best life now. The next life will be truly dreadful..” ♦ –”Can Christians live their best life now?”–

Heads up to all Afrikaans readers. Sunday 27 June at 1830 on Radio Sonder Grense, Johann Symington will talk about fundamentalism in response to the flap over Zapiro’s cartoon. It is a comedy! Listen to how they make room for all, but Christianity must change. Why? Because they say so. This is a prime example of the anti-Christian stance in South Africa by ‘Christians’ who define Christianity as ‘love your neighbour’. Background reading:

“Two things are wrong with Zapiro’s cartoon. Firstly, any attempt to depict him in illustration is an attempt to depict the sacrosanct, which is not allowed. Secondly, the nature of cartoons is to satirise and trivialise. This is clearly not acceptable in the case of a personality who is held in the highest esteem by over a billion people globally. ” ♦ –South Africa: Islamic cleric calls for free speech restrictions over Motoons–

“The position of the Muslim community in the face of all provocations seems to be: Islam is a religion of peace, and if you say that it isn’t, we will kill you. Of course, the truth is often more nuanced, but this is about as nuanced as it ever gets: Islam is a religion of peace, and if you say that it isn’t, we peaceful Muslims cannot be held responsible for what our less peaceful brothers and sisters do.” ♦ –South African adherents of the Religion of Peace warn of “backlash” after court injunction against Motoon is denied–

“In fact, Islam is fourteen centuries overdue for some serious questioning, criticism, critiquing, and examination. People the world over need to be reminded that the freedom of speech most certainly includes the freedom to offend. The right of non-Muslims to draw pictures of Muhammad is equaled by a right just as powerful, the right of Muslims to ignore pictures they find offensive.” ♦ –Brad Thor: Why Everyone in the Civilized World Must Support ‘Everybody Draw Muhammad Day’–

“Ibn Warraq, Ayan Hisri Ali, Wafa Sultan and Maryam Namazie are some of the courageous individuals who have chosen not to indulge in appeasing Muslims and political correctness. They have chosen to speak the historical, factual truth about Muhammadan Islam. And, unsurprisingly, they have been living under constant danger to their lives.” ♦ –What the West Needs to Understand About Islam–

“Westergaard’s attacker was outraged that the cartoonist had transgressed the bounds of Islamic law by (as he saw it) mocking Muhammad. Islamic law stipulates that non-Muslims forfeit their lives when they dare to criticize Islam, Allah, or Muhammad. When he swung his axe at Westergaard’s door, this jihadist was doing his part to compel Europe and the West to accept Islamic norms for speech — or else.” ♦ –Spencer: The Westergaard Attack: It’s All the Same Jihad–

“At the Guantanamo Naval Base prison, American military personnel are required to wear gloves when touching the Koran. It’s the perfect metaphor for our official culture’s obsequious behavior toward Islam. Terrorists the world over cite the Koran as the motivation and justification for their terrorist acts, yet journalists and government officials reflexively jump to the Koran’s defense whenever it seems to be implicated in terror. Instead of thinking, “Hmm, let’s take a closer look at that book,” they assure us, on no evidence, that the terrorists have misunderstood the Koran.” ♦ –Questioning the Koran–

“As described by Smith and his team, Moralistic Therapeutic Deism consists of beliefs like these: 1. “A god exists who created and ordered the world and watches over human life on earth.” 2. “God wants people to be good, nice, and fair to each other, as taught in the Bible and by most world religions.” 3. “The central goal of life is to be happy and to feel good about oneself.” 4. “God does not need to be particularly involved in one’s life except when God is needed to resolve a problem.” 5. “Good people go to heaven when they die.”” ♦ –Moralistic Therapeutic Deism–the New American Religion–

“On June 16, 2010 Cindy Jacobs, head prophetess of the New Apostolic Reformation, issued a political statement, an “Urgent Call to Prayer Concerning California’s Proposition 8 and Defense Of Marriage Act.” Written on the letterhead of her “United States Reformation Prayer Network” it has all of the hallmarks of a political action alert. This is a major first for the woman who has been associated with all sorts of strange doctrines and wacky practices.[10] By taking a political position on these high-profile issues Jacobs is obviously attempting to enter the Christian Right mainstream as an ally. Just this week she and fellow “apostle” Chuck Pierce have actually spoken out about the Gulf Oil Spill.[11]
This is an increasingly common tactic of the NAR – taking a politically popular Christian Right position and then using it as a basis upon which to gain greater credibility and garner access to the evangelical mainstream. It also gives them a chance to broaden their base of operations, spreading the word about the 7 mountains of culture and the agenda to mold minds, shape institutions, and take over governments.
