Ray McCauley: Divorce No.2

ray-mccauley-divorce-no-2

Hmmmm….  What happened to all those positive confessions?

As Joel Osteen would most probably say,

“Ray, just SPEAK her back, be POSITIVE, CONFESS WHAT YOU WANT and the god in you will have to do what you say.  Your WORDS have POWER.  You do know however that if she does not come back you LACK FAITH.  Wait.  Here is my book:  ‘Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to…’ oh why am I even showing you this, you have a copy, did you read it Ray?  No wonder…”

McCauley in for divorce No 2

2010-01-28

Johannesburg – Pastor Ray McCauley’s wife Zelda is going to divorce him, the Rhema Bible Church said on Thursday.

“The executive board of Rhema Bible Church and the International Federation of Christian Churches (IFCC) are sad to announce that Pastor Ray McCauley has received from Zelda notice of her intention to file for divorce,” church administrator Giet Khoza said in a statement.

Ray McCauley was “devastated”, but handling the matter “spiritually”.

The McCauleys had been married for 10 years. It was the third marriage for Zelda, a former model.

“Both the leadership of the IFCC and Rhema Bible Church are of the firm belief that divorce is not desirable and should be the last resort. However, they would like to respect Mrs Zelda McCauley’s decision to file for divorce.”

McCauley, a former bodybuilder, would in the meantime take time off work.

The couple’s marriage had been on the rocks before. But after lengthy mediation by church elders, the couple reconciled.

This is McCauley’s second divorce.

His first wife Lyndie filed for divorce in 2000, after 21 years of marriage.

I wonder if Lyndie, his first wife is remarried?

    Jem
    >>I wonder if Lyndie, his first wife is remarried?>>

    Does it really matter??

    I dont know either.

The point is here. He is a wolf in Sheeps clothing or what ? A sad, sad situation.

    Galatians 5:9 Amplified
A little leaven (a slight inclination to error, or a few false teachers) leavens the whole lump [it perverts the whole conception of faith or misleads the whole church].

    # 2 Peter 2:1 Amplified
BUT ALSO [in those days] there arose false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among yourselves, who will subtly and stealthily introduce heretical doctrines (destructive heresies), even denying and disowning the Master Who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

  • Elmarie

Just to add to above Scripture.

    1 Timothy 3 2Amplified Bible

2 Now a bishop (superintendent, overseer) must give no grounds for accusation but must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, circumspect and temperate and self-controlled; [he must be] sensible and well behaved and dignified and lead an orderly (disciplined) life; [he must be] hospitable [showing love for and being a friend to the believers, especially strangers or foreigners, and be] a capable and qualified teacher,

    Titus 1
1PAUL, A bond servant of God and an apostle (a special messenger) of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) to stimulate and promote the faith of God’s chosen ones and to lead them on to accurate discernment and recognition of and acquaintance with the Truth which belongs to and harmonizes with and tends to godliness,

2[Resting] in the hope of eternal life, [life] which the ever truthful God Who cannot deceive promised before the world or the ages of time began.

    3And [now] in His own appointed time He has made manifest (made known) His Word and revealed it as His message through the preaching entrusted to me by command of God our Savior;

4To Titus, my true child according to a common (general) faith: Grace (favor and spiritual blessing) and [heart] peace from God the Father and the Lord Christ Jesus our Savior.

5For this reason I left you [behind] in Crete, that you might set right what was defective and finish what was left undone, and that you might appoint elders and set them over the churches (assemblies) in every city as I directed you.

6[These elders should be] men who are of unquestionable integrity and are irreproachable, the husband of [but] one wife, whose children are [well trained and are] believers, not open to the accusation of being loose in morals and conduct or unruly and disorderly.

    7For the bishop (an overseer) as God’s steward must be blameless, not self-willed or arrogant or presumptuous; he must not be quick-tempered or given to drink or pugnacious (brawling, violent); he must not be grasping and greedy for filthy lucre (financial gain);

8But he must be hospitable (loving and a friend to believers, especially to strangers and foreigners); [he must be] a lover of goodness [of good people and good things], sober-minded (sensible, discreet), upright and fair-minded, a devout man and religiously correct, temperate and keeping himself in hand.

9He must hold fast to the sure and trustworthy Word of God as he was taught it, so that he may be able both to give stimulating instruction and encouragement in sound (wholesome) doctrine and to refute and convict those who contradict and oppose it [showing the wayward their error].

10For there are many disorderly and unruly men who are idle (vain, empty) and misleading talkers and self-deceivers and deceivers of others. [This is true] especially of those of the circumcision party [who have come over from Judaism].

11Their mouths must be stopped, for they are mentally distressing and subverting whole families by teaching what they ought not to teach, for the purpose of getting base advantage and disreputable gain.

12One of their [very] number, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, hurtful beasts, idle and lazy gluttons.

13And this account of them is [really] true. Because it is [true], rebuke them sharply [deal sternly, even severely with them], so that they may be sound in the faith and free from error,

14[And may show their soundness by] ceasing to give attention to Jewish myths and fables or to rules [laid down] by [mere] men who reject and turn their backs on the Truth.

15To the pure [in heart and conscience] all things are pure, but to the defiled and corrupt and unbelieving nothing is pure; their very minds and consciences are defiled and polluted.

16They profess to know God [to recognize, perceive, and be acquainted with Him], but deny and disown and renounce Him by what they do; they are detestable and loathsome, unbelieving and disobedient and disloyal and rebellious, and [they are] unfit and worthless for good work (deed or enterprise) of any kind.

mmm, and I wonder why people in this category don’t just follow suite by example of our SP, JZuma?

whatever happened to the Scripture that says:
    1 Timothy 3:2
    A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of ONE wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
    and
    1 Timothy 3:12
Let the deacons be the husbands of ONE wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

this was actually expected… he has a history of a wondering eye, of a angry and aggressive spirit, and the women he choose, close their own eyes to that… or do they just see the riches and fame?….

I noticed in all articles about this that in both cases it was the women who initiated the divorce(s) and Ray just wanted to reconcile. Does he ever have a clue with what is wrong in the marriage(s) on his side? and if yes, is he working on it?

    >> “Zelda, a straight-talking mother of three children by three fathers, was a member of McCauley’s Randburg congregation for 20 years before they married.

Raised in an orphanage in Bellville, north of Cape Town, she had been married twice before she exchanged vows with McCauley.” http://allsanews.com/43330/zelda-calls-it-a-day-with-ray.html

question rises: did Zelda just went on with her life every time, carrying into every new relationship the hurts and sins of the past?

    >>> “Mrs McCauley has no claim on Rhema fortune
    26 January 2008, 10:46
If Zelda McCauley divorces Rhema Bible Church leader Ray McCauley, she will exit the marriage with nothing.

This, according to a reliable source, is because she “had no clue” that she was married out of community of property and would therefore have no claim on the former bodybuilder’s multi-million rand estate.” http://www.capeargus.co.za/index.php?fSectionId=3571&fArticleId=vn20080126091925795C706323

    >>> “The couple’s marriage had been on the rocks before. In 2008, News24 reported the couple’s marriage had “irretrievably broken down and divorce was imminent”.”
    http://www.sowetan.co.za/News/Article.aspx?id=1109028

    they then reconciled…
    >>>”Guess what made her reconcile … a ‘lavish’ trip to Dubai!!” http://www.abelarde.com/wordpress/2008/01/15/sin-me-once-sin-me-twice/

for the sake of the Name of God, I pray this will be over quickly and that the Lord Himself will prevent both of them to marry ever again, especially Ray. he is sowing seed in the flesh, and in the flesh will reap it, with a whole congregation eating the fruit…

summed up in this good article:
    Monday, February 04, 2008 – McCauley’s church divided over marital woes : http://alphacc.blogspot.com/2008/02/mccauleys-church-divided-over-marital.html

but it is happening all over the church. have a look at this article:
“Ds. Walther Philander, herder van die VGK Piketberg en sy vrou, Amanda, se egskeiding en sy beweerde buite-egtelike verhouding met ‘n gemeentelid het die gemeente op dié Swartlanddorp in twee geskeur.” – http://jv.news24.com//Rapport/Kaap-Rapport/0,,752-799_2259130,00.html

I have no knowledge up to date that Lyndie is married again.

Every day hundreds of couples go through divorce. sadly. not all is in the public eye like R.McC. Would the leader of one of SA’s biggest churches have the guts to follow what the Word of God says about this all, or lead an immoral life (again)?

  • marilyn

I think it is absolutely disgusting that Ray McCauley is divorcing for a second time after all the confessions of faith and all. You have really disappointed me. I have watched the sage of your first divorce. While Lyndie was forced into divorce so that you could openly continue your affair with Zelda. God saw what you did to her, how you pinned that divorce on Lyndie and caused her to carry your shame. Well,it seems that you are reaping what you are sowing. Good luck Pastor Ray, your Jezebel has destroyed your name along with your church.

  • Elmarie

    Cecilia

    Thanks for more confirmation :-)

  • Yolandi

Maybe he will join a cult like his buddy Jayz and marry 6 woman? I have lost respect for him …Not because he is divorcing that catstrophy of a wife (he can divorce as many as he wants)….however it still gets me that he endorses the world parliment of churches and thats why this time he has lost my vote…

Lindy is still single and working at Osteen’s church she writes on facebook alot about how wonderful ray is ect …

  • George

Judge not, so that you not be judged, for the same measure you use to judge, it will be applied to you.

Perhaps we should rather pray for Ray and Zelda and Lindy and for their well being.

Yes, they may have not done according to the Word of God, but tell me of one person who has beside Jesus.
We all try and continue to fail till the day we see Him face to face then we will be like Him.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    George

Where is anyone judging their sin? I am however showing Rhema up for the false gospel they preach.

  • Maggie

Lydie never got re-married and is still serving the Lord.
    See her website at http://www.lyndiemccauley.com/
She inspires me and many girls I believe.
My prayer is that the LORD bring out the good out of this whole mess in Pastor Ray’s life.
God is a merciful and forgiving God. Yes, He disciplines His loved ones.
My prayer goes out to Pastor Ray, Zelda, Lyndie and their children on this one.
We have confidence in God’s grace at all times.

  • Kathy

Wow all this judgemental behavior and hostility over another mans problem is just as wrong as what you seem to judge Pastor Ray for. He has a problem in his life. Take the log out of your own before you judge the speck in your brothers people!! No one is saying he does not have to answer to the Lord for this. But who made you the judge?

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Kathy

Where did I judge him? But thank you for judging me because you mis-read.

What I did do was make a point of pointing out what he preaches to his congregation and that is Word of Faith / positive confession gospel by using the satire ‘conversation between him and Joel Osteen’. And because of what he preaches he therefore needs to practise what he preaches . Because of what he preaches, he should never have landed in trouble. So because of what is happening to him, he has proved that the rubbish he preaches is completely false.

  • Elmarie

    Kathy

Hmm Please read and study your Bible. You will find what the NT says, about how a leader should lead his life according to Scripture and lead us as sheep. If he goes of the track the Word states clearly what a leaders duties are. Ray is not setting an example for his church as a leader.

This is not about being judgemental or hostile. Ray is busy leading the sheep astray full stop. That is not negotiable when it comes to the Word of God. We must be warned about these things you see. We can only pray for him.

  • louise

Why are we shocked about Ray? By their fruits you will know them. I use to go to Rhema and GOD called me out, having said that I would not like to see anyone fall and I would like to see us Christans pray for those who have fallen away.
Ray made a mistake by inviting Zuma but even worse was when he gave that mic to him. Zuma is a Pagan, what was he doing there. My brother was Rays neighbour down in Durban. Enough said.

  • louise

Just on another note we should be stoning these people, and i dont judge them I judge their false Gospel.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    louise

Absolutely. We are commanded to test and judge the words that people speak, i.e. what they teach. We do not judge a person.

  • Amanda

    Louise

Stone them? You mean mark them and avoid them?

  • Jem

Thanks Maggie and Yolandi re the info regarding Lyndie.

Ray McCauley is just one of the “many many” false teachers out there.

  • louise

@ Kathy. We are called to test all spirits. You may see it as me judging. If I am the Holy Spirit will guide me into all truths as I seek only Christs Truth. Thank you for your concern.

  • Clive Frank

Its great to see the amount of **love** you have for someone who is down. The reality of divorce is families do get hurt and offended. Did you not ever get to the point of separation or discontentment in your marriages? You see divorce can be forgiven and one day you may see Ray in Heaven. Like we say in South Africa attack the system not the people. By the way, by God’s grace I am still married.(first one) How about praying for God to open their hearts and speak to them during this time. Ray has done a lot of good. We should not look at a speck of dust on a white sheet but also notice the white!

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Clive

Ray is far from down. Read the other articles on him on this website, if you want to that is… And I said nothing about his divorce. I spoke about the false gospel that he preaches to his congregation, of speaking faith and God shall jump at your command. Well it didnt seem to work so well with Ray did it.

  • Linda

tHE WORD OF GOD SAYS:ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD,PASTOR RAY YOU ARE STILL VERY SPECIAL TO GOD, NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE YOU, JESUS LOVES YOU SO MUCH, DUST YOURSELF UP AND CONTINUE SERVING THE LORD, AND SHAME THE DEVIL,HE IS UNDER OUR FEET.

  • You know Grace is not earned through your dirty works or performance. It is freely given by God!Sadly the world does not understand this,…

When Jesus died on the cross and said “Father forgive them because they do not know what they doing”… it included the whole world (even you, passing judgement (LAW which does not make you righteous before God – PHARISEES??) JESUS’S BLOOD is what makes you righteous before God!!

So keep throwing stones because Jesus still loves you and is waiting for you to bow your knees to Him so that He can freely give to you to receive the same Grace extended to every other born again christian!

  • Amanda

    Chantal

Thank you for not judging us. If you want to play the Pharisee card, you will have to be more specific. Please read Todd Wilken: Playing the Pharisee Card and we will listen if you point where we have gone wrong.

By the way, are you aware that Joel Osteen if very heavy on Law and light on the Gospel? What is your opinion about that?

  • Elmarie

    Chantal

I do hope you have a Bible? If so please go and read up about False teachers and False Prophets. I will help you a little bit :-). You know it is important to test every spirit to see if they proceed from God. But this is not preached in churches today and it is so sad you know. Take heed to the warnings in Scripture about wolves in sheep clothing Chantal.

“Is salvation by faith alone, or by faith plus works?”

Answer: This is perhaps the most important question in all of Christian theology. This question is the cause of the Reformation, the split between the Protestant churches and Catholic Church. This question is a key difference between biblical Christianity and most of the “Christian” cults. Is salvation by faith alone, or by faith plus works? Am I saved just by believing in Jesus, or do I have to believe in Jesus and do certain things?

The question of faith alone or faith plus works is made difficult by some hard-to-reconcile Bible passages. Compare Romans 3:28, 5:1 and Galatians 3:24 with James 2:24. Some see a difference between Paul (salvation is by faith alone) and James (salvation is by faith plus works). Paul dogmatically says that justification is by faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9), while James appears to be saying that justification is by faith plus works. This apparent problem is answered by examining what exactly James is talking about. James is refuting the belief that a person can have faith without producing any good works (James 2:17-18). James is emphasizing the point that genuine faith in Christ will produce a changed life and good works (James 2:20-26). James is not saying that justification is by faith plus works, but rather that a person who is truly justified by faith will have good works in his/her life. If a person claims to be a believer, but has no good works in his/her life, then he/she likely does not have genuine faith in Christ (James 2:14, 17, 20, 26).

Paul says the same thing in his writings. The good fruit believers should have in their lives is listed in Galatians 5:22-23. Immediately after telling us that we are saved by faith, not works (Ephesians 2:8-9), Paul informs us that we were created to do good works (Ephesians 2:10). Paul expects just as much of a changed life as James does: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). James and Paul do not disagree in their teaching regarding salvation. They approach the same subject from different perspectives. Paul simply emphasized that justification is by faith alone while James put emphasis on the fact that genuine faith in Christ produces good works.

“Should Christians judge the teachings of their leaders?”

Answer: As Christians, we are commanded against following teachers blindly, but are told rather to “Test everything; hold on to the good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). The apostle Peter warns us in 2 Peter 2:1-3 that there will be false teachers in our day just as there were false teachers in his day. Among their false teachings is a denial of the sufficiency of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross to take away sin, which is a common theme among cultists today. Another characteristic of false teachers is the greed which motivates them in everything they do. Paul offers a similar warning to the Ephesian elders in Acts 20:29-31, calling the false teachers “savage wolves” who mercilessly attempt to destroy the faith of the sheep and draw them away from the Shepherd. Paul warned them continually, pleading with them night and day to be on their guard against such deceivers.

From these passages, we see clearly that we are to distinguish between true and false teachers. How then are we to do that? First, as Paul instructs the Ephesians, we are to “no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming” (Ephesians 4:14). Rather, we are to “become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” and we do this by “the knowledge of the Son of God” (v. 13). The knowledge of Christ can only be obtained through the Word of God, and it is by that Word that we distinguish between the true and the false.

In Matthew 7:15-20, Jesus offers some critical advice in discerning who is a false prophet: “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruits you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruits you will recognize them.” Plainly stated, is the teacher’s life marked by a progressive conformity to the likeness of Christ? Is the teacher bearing the fruits of the Spirit? Just as only good trees produce good fruit, so do only true teachers of Christ display the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23), whereas false prophets and teachers display the acts of their sinful natures (Galatians 5:19-22). By these fruits, we recognize true and false teachers.

Secondly, does the teaching that is being presented conform to the message as proclaimed by the early church and the Apostles? As Paul writes to the church in Galatia: “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!” These are harsh words indeed that Paul has for the false teachers, but eternal condemnation is what they store up for themselves until the day of God’s wrath (Romans 2:5-6).

The apostle John tells us in his first epistle (1 John 4:1-6) how we are to discern which spirits are from God. “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.”

It is of utmost importance that Christians are well-grounded in the Scriptures so that they are able to discern which teachers speak from God and which are false in their proclamation. Only then can we reject what is false and “hold on to the good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21).

Sorry but Ray MacCauley’s name is already linked to other false teachers world wide. Now when that happens surely one must ask why? We cannot just sit back and accept some one is from God even it they say they are. We are also told in the Word to take heed and note of the deceivers.

Below are a number of statements by Kenneth Copeland taken from recordings of his messages. Kenneth Copeland has been chosen because he is the most well-known Positive Confession minister in this country, [England] but the teachings are common to them all.

Ministers like Kenneth Hagin, Ray MacCauley, Oral Roberts, Jerry Savelle, and many others, all teach word-for-word the same doctrines you are going to read in this article so the same reasoning applies to them all. All the Word of Faith teachers have these doctrines with very little variation.

Now to begin with, some of you may be questioning why anyone sees the need to expose false doctrines in ministries which seem to be so good, so fruitful. After all, the work done around the world by these Word of Faith ministries is enormous. Hundreds of thousands (so they say) are being reached with the gospel, and not only that, but many claim to have been healed and delivered and had their lives totally changed as a result of the Copelands’ ministries.

It is not my intention to condemn every one of these works as false. If someone has been truly saved or healed, then I thank God for it.

    Matthew 24:3-5 (Amplified Bible)

3 While He was seated on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately and said, Tell us, when will this take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end (the completion, the consummation) of the age?
4 Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error].
5 For many will come in (on the strength of) My name [[a]appropriating the name which belongs to Me], saying, I am the Christ (the Messiah), and they will lead many astray.

    2 Timothy 3:12-14 (Amplified Bible)

12 Indeed all who delight in piety and are determined to live a devoted and godly life in Christ Jesus will meet with persecution [will be made to suffer because of their religious stand].
13 But wicked men and imposters will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and leading astray others and being deceived and led astray themselves.
14 But as for you, continue to hold to the things that you have learned and of which you are convinced, knowing from whom you learned [them],

Good luck Pastor Ray, your Jezebel has destroyed your name along with your church.

i think pastor ray and lyndie should try again. i personally think they r meant to be. she really loved him

Well there are bigger things to worry about than their marriage. Right now Ray is so far off the Christian path he is headed straight to hell.

  • Joseph Kaweesa

My prayer to God for everyone of you commenting and talking against pastor Ray, is that He may help you to think about the 2nd coming of our Lord Jesus and to you yourselves to work out your own salvation without looking at others ! His ways are not our ways….
    LOVE YOU ALL!!! UGANDA

  • louise

Joseph Kaweesa, thank you for your prayers and I mean this. When I say I shall pray for people I mean it. I hope you do, cos then you are lying. Now, what I wish to say to you is that I am not waiting for the 2nd coming cos that will mean I missed out on the rapture and that is just such bad news for me. The 2nd coming is afer the Tribulation so I hope Ray is not teaching you Dominion Theology. Read the word (BIBLE) more and listen to Ray less. I did that and I discovered the BIBLE says Test all spirits, and this means Ray and his body guards. Ask yourself this, did Jesus ever get involved in politics. Did Jesus call us to invite pagans into our churches to discuss Politics. Go back to the word Joseph and it will open your eyes. The time has come for the falling away. Many will turn away from the truth and follow doctrines of demons. Now I am not saying Ray is a demon but he is the 7th church in Revelation. Read it, the church of Laodicea REV 3:17 Because thou sayest,I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;and knowest not that thou art wretched, andmiserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Please take heed and know that the Faith movement is full of error and you are being lied to. Thank you

we can not judge someone’s servant in our worldly form. Ray is the man of God, who among you does not have a sin. let Ray go. God knows everything about him not me and not you who are we to judge the servant of Jesus he is not our servant so let his master see how he can help him. either we are worse and does n’t even deserve to even comment about his mistakes. who knows The friendship he have with God can have been revived and you people are still carrying on to what he ever did, ican see that you are not of the same family with us if you were of the same family you were not gonna cellebrate his horror, but pray for him. sto judging your brother and look at your self.whether who do what and who doesn’t do what its none of your business mind your own salvation.

I cannot agree with you that we are not to judge others in the church we are clearly told we must do just that with those in the church. See proof of Scripture given below.

What is your answer to the following then.

Judging Others – Should Christians Judge?
We are NOT to Judge a person’s MOTIVES (Matt 7:1), but we are to Judge a Fellow Believer’s (a Teacher’s) ACTIONS / FRUIT to make sure the Essential Christian Doctrine is Correct— to make sure it’s NOT Contrary to God’s Word, and the “Teachings of Jesus.”

    * Matt 7:15-20 Jesus says, “Beware of the FALSE PROPHETS, who come to you in SHEEP’S CLOTHING but INWARDLY ARE RAVENOUS WOLVES. You will know them by their FRUITS. (17) A GOOD TREE produces GOOD FRUIT, and a BAD TREE produces BAD FRUIT. A Good Tree can’t produce BAD FRUIT, and a BAD TREE can’t produce GOOD FRUIT. So every Tree that does NOT produce Good Fruit is chopped down and thrown into the Fire (Hell). Yes, just as you can Identify a Tree by its Fruit, so you can IDENTIFY PEOPLE BY THEIR ACTIONS.”

    * John 7:24 “Do Not JUDGE according to Appearance, but JUDGE WITH RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT.”

    * 1 Cor 5:12-13 “It isn’t my responsibility to Judge Outsiders, but it certainly IS your Responsibility to JUDGE those INSIDE THE CHURCH who are Sinning. GOD WILL JUDGE those on the OUTSIDE; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the Evil Person from among you.”

    * 1 John 4:1 “Dear friends, do NOT believe everyone who CLAIMS to SPEAK BY THE SPIRIT. You must TEST them to see if the spirit they have comes FROM GOD (or the devil). For there are MANY FALSE PROPHETS IN THE WORLD.”

    * 1 Cor 14:29 (NKJV) “Let Two or Three PROPHETS SPEAK, and let the OTHERS JUDGE.”

    * 1 Thess 5:21 “TEST EVERYTHING that is SAID. Hold on to what is Good.”

    * Titus 1:9-16 “…He (an Elder) must have a strong belief in the Trustworthy Message he was taught; then he will be able to Encourage others with Wholesome Teaching and show those who OPPOSE IT where they are Wrong. For there are MANY REBELLIOUS PEOPLE who engage in Useless Talk and Deceive Others…They must be SILENCED, because they are Turning Whole Families AWAY FROM THE TRUTH by their FALSE TEACHING. And they do it only for MONEY. Even one of their own men, a PROPHET from Crete, has said about them, “The people of Crete are all Liars, Cruel Animals, and Lazy Gluttons.” This is true. So reprimand them sternly to make them Strong in the Faith. They must Stop Listening to Jewish Myths and the Commands of people who have Turned away from the Truth. Everything is Pure to those whose Hearts are pure. But Nothing is Pure to those who are Corrupt and Unbelieving, because their Minds and Consciences are Corrupted. Such people CLAIM THEY KNOW GOD, but they DENY HIM by the way they LIVE. They are Detestable and Disobedient, Worthless for doing anything Good.”

    Naming Names – “Mark Them”
If A Preacher / Teacher is NOT Correctly Teaching Essential Christian Doctrine (the True Gospel of Jesus Christ, etc.) and the Teaching is keeping people focused on this Life & on the Broad Path to Hell, OR if they are Prophesying Falsely (Deut 13:1-18, Deut 18:20-22), we are to “MARK THEM” (Name Names of False Teachers & Deceivers)— of which Paul did 8 TIMES in 2 Timothy seen below HERE.

    * Rom 16:17-18 “MARK THEM which cause DIVISIONS & OFFENCES CONTRARY TO THE DOCTRINE which you have learned; and AVOID them. STAY AWAY from them. Such people are not serving Christ our Lord; they are serving their own Personal Interests. By SMOOTH TALK and GLOWING WORDS THEY DECEIVE INNOCENT PEOPLE.”

We Are UNLOVING If We Do Not Judge (Examine) False Teachings & Warn Believers

If a certain Teacher continually Teaches error, it would be very UNLOVING if we didn’t WARN OTHERS (like Jesus, Peter, Paul, etc.) of the Dangers of these False Teachers, those who are keeping people on the Broad Path leading to Hell. Acts 20:26-32; Gal 1:6-9; 2 Tim 2:17-18, Eph 5:11, Ezek 3:17-19
    (Place ‘Mouse’ over the Scriptures)

    FALSE TEACHER SCRIPTURES—

    Matt 7:15-20, Matt 24:4-5, Matt 24:11, Matt 24:23-26, Mark 13:22, Acts 20:29-32, Rom 16:17-18, 1 John 4:1-6, 2 Peter 2:1-3, 1 Tim 4:1,2 Tim 4:3-4, Titus 1:10-11,Gal 1:6-12, 2 Cor 11:13-15, Col 2:8, Col 2:18, 2 John 1:10-11,Matt 16:4, 2 Pet 2:18, Matt 7:21-23, Amos 8:11, 1 Tim 6:8-10, Jude 1:1-17, Deut 13:1-18, Deut 18:20-22, Jer 14:13-15, Jer 23:1-40, Rev 2:2-3, Rev 2:6

    * Prov 14:12 “ There is a way which SEEMS RIGHT to a man, but its END is the way of DEATH.

We instead should be constantly Examining the Scriptures to see if what a Bible Teacher or Preacher is saying is True, that goes for here at SO4J-TV too.

    * Acts 17:11 “And the people of Berea were more Open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s Message. They SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES DAY AFTER DAY to see if Paul and Silas were TEACHING THE TRUTH.”

    * Rev 2:2-3 Jesus says, “I know all the things you DO. I have seen your Hard Work and your Patient Endurance. I know you DON’T TOLERATE Evil People. You have EXAMINED CLAIMS of those who SAY they are APOSTLES but are NOT. You have DISCOVERED they are LIARS. You have Patiently Suffered for Me without Quitting…(6) You hate the Evil Deeds of the Nicolaitans, just as I do.”

Oh ? so you as a pastor say that the fruits of the teachers/pastors is none of our business? should you not set an example to your congregation as a teacher/pastor ? If a teacher/pastor openly live a sinful live as the church leader you say one should mind your own salvation and turn a blind eye. Good heavens I surely do not want you as my my teacher/pastor then. I do hope the above proof that we are to judge those in the church and also warn about false teachings give you some good food for thought.

Mostly women supporting ray again. would they like to try for spot number three. Deborah and Elamrie could you pleeeeease arrange a most eligible bachelor show and see if any of the ladies would try out. oooh ray is so hot right now – hehehe. On a more serious side, the only time any of ray’s supporters speak of the bible is when they say judge not. they are lame. ray is NO MAN OF GOD – ray is NO god. He is a high priest of mammon. at least if you go to Gold Reef City you can get some free drinks and other form of free entertainment. I am amazed at how deluded they are. I wish they would stop using God’s name and come and own up to what they are. They are mammonites and self worshippers. they are false worshippers pretending to love Jesus. No matter how much the scriptures are expounded to them they always respond in their disapproving voices “Do not JUDGE”. i am sick of dont judge and yet the bible does tell us to judge. how are we then to discern. they are liars who love liars and their father is the devil who is the father of all lies. now i wait for the torrent of how unloving, (the bible does teach me to hate evil) uncaring and blah, blah i am. what else can i say to the blind and the deceived and the lost.

Where did you go and study to be a pastor?

You should know all those verses Elmarie quoted you.

Are you sure you are a pastor? Not some lucky packet certificate you bought yourself.

  • Grant

    Barland Johnson

i am sick of dont judge and yet the bible does tell us to judge

    Thank you.

Now, because that is Biblically correct, those who keep on with the boring “Do not judge” argument and simply do not read the full context, will have to change their retort from “Do not judge” to “Do not believe the Bible”.

Do you think there is a chance of that?

  • Grant

    Pastor Renny Masetsola

1Co 5:12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?

Could you please explain this verse to me, as I seem to misunderstand it. Who is the Apostle Paul telling us to judge here?

Is Ray McCauley outside the church?

  • Michael

Agreed entirely with Grant…sick and tired of the agents of the devil and/or his demons throwing red herrings around.Scripture quoted totally out of context…simply to protect the flesh and man so that he can continue to disgrace Christianity and lead many into the pit of hell.Seems that these agents are more concerned about protecting the icon leader than the truth of the bible.
They miss the argument and manipulate scripture to fall in line with the comfort craving of the flesh.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

Grant no longer comments at DTW.

  • I Renny say: You are right my brother Linda:who there has to ululate when his brother struggle, i understand Ray is a Pastor but that doesn’t conclude his perfection. none has no sin, none is perfect, true love is understanding that your brother can be short some how we all need to grow everyday gain understanding and renew our minds. no one can be confirmed by his works we are saved by grace and the greatest matter is Loving your God and walking by faith.

Prov24: 16 For a righteous man may fall seven times
    And rise again,
But the wicked shall fall by calamity.
never carry to the fall and horrors of Brother Ray tell the World something, hear from me i never promote the life of sin…

    Linda wrote:
tHE WORD OF GOD SAYS:ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD,PASTOR RAY YOU ARE STILL VERY SPECIAL TO GOD, NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE YOU, JESUS LOVES YOU SO MUCH, DUST YOURSELF UP AND CONTINUE SERVING THE LORD, AND SHAME THE DEVIL,HE IS UNDER OUR FEET.

No, unfortunately Ray McCauley preaches another gospel contrary to the Word of God. His ‘fruit’ (divorce) is because of what he believes.

  • Given

John 8:7. And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.”

It is not foreign that people will always seek to capitalise on other people’s mistakes.the point Remains that.Ps Ray is a Gifted and annointed man of God.

It is also amazing how the focus is on Ps Ray than Zelda,Just like the scripture above. What me and others will do,is to continue praying for them

As i said,it is not new in the eyes of God.

  • Deborah (Discerning the World)

    Given

Ps Ray is a Gifted and annointed man of God.

He is anointed? Anointed means Christ. Are you saying Ray is Christ?

Do you know that Ray preaches a gospel that opposes the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Do you know that Ray sits at an interfaith council of religions as such as he believes that all faiths lead to the same God? His lifestyle is the fruit of the false gospel he believes and teaches.
