Ray McCauley: Divorce No.2

ray-mccauley-divorce-no-2

Hmmmm….  What happened to all those positive confessions?

As Joel Osteen would most probably say,

“Ray, just SPEAK her back, be POSITIVE, CONFESS WHAT YOU WANT and the god in you will have to do what you say.  Your WORDS have POWER.  You do know however that if she does not come back you LACK FAITH.  Wait.  Here is my book:  ‘Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to…’ oh why am I even showing you this, you have a copy, did you read it Ray?  No wonder…”

McCauley in for divorce No 2

2010-01-28

Johannesburg – Pastor Ray McCauley’s wife Zelda is going to divorce him, the Rhema Bible Church said on Thursday.

“The executive board of Rhema Bible Church and the International Federation of Christian Churches (IFCC) are sad to announce that Pastor Ray McCauley has received from Zelda notice of her intention to file for divorce,” church administrator Giet Khoza said in a statement.

Springboks ‘Healed’ by TB Joshua Sadly Pass Away

springboks-healed-by-tb-joshua-sadly-pass-away

If only people would just read the Word of God when it comes to the warning signs of spotting false teachers.  I just hope that Ruben Kruger saw the truth of the matter before his passing and that he had not fallen any deeper into deceptive doctrines passed off as genuine Christianity.  Let these stories be a warning to all who love the truth, to heed God’s warning of entertaining false doctrines that can lead to spiritual destruction if not repented of.

TB Joshua is a witchdoctor who uses witchcraft (obviously) to heal people, among other horrendous deceptions.  His manner is satanic, he does not at all preach the genuine Gospel, but a poisoned version.  His entire setup is based around con-artistry.   See bottom of this article, under the ‘relevant posts’ section regarding TB Joshua and what he REALLY believes.

[TB Joshua] Once asked by one of his disciples if he is a man of God, his answer was: “Brother, I can not answer you this question. It will be self-righteous if I should say I am a man of God. But let my works testify of who I am.”

Blow for Ruben Kruger

2000-12-17  -  News24 - ©  24.com

A week that started with great expectations for Ruben Kruger and his wife, Lize, ended in heartache on Sunday when Ruben was told at the airport that his wife was to lose the baby about which they were so excited.

Lize met him at the airport and the two then went to a clinic in Pretoria where she underwent tests. Although she is brave about the loss, her husband was visibly upset when he was told.

He is, however, positive about his healing. “I no longer have to drink my chemo pills”, he said on Sunday. He believes his healing started on Sunday already when he arrived at the synagogue.

Louie Giglio – Chasing The Experience (Part 1)

louie-giglio-chasing-the-experience-part-1

A while ago I went to watch Ron Martoia an Emergent “Transformational Architecture Specialist” at a Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa.  The title of the seminar was the ‘Vertical Development and a Spirituality of Awareness’.  Ron Martoia spoke about Logos and Mythos.  In order to transcend vertically ↑ (up the Tree of Life and see through God’s eyes) you need to ←  move away  from the Word (Logos) and → experience (Mythos) God instead.  If you are stuck in the Word (Logos) you end up ↓ stagnating and you spiritually dry up.

Chase The Wave Maker

by Louie Giglio -  5/7/2001

I’d like to take you back to my college days – to my first journey to Mt Rainier. Having furiously studied the mountain in my geography class, I couldn’t wait until the day Rainier appeared on our agenda as my friend and I drove across North America.

We were headed for an amazing mountain, a place I had come to know quite well – or so I thought. Though I lived 3,000 miles away in Atlanta, and had never seen Rainier in person, I was foolish enough to believe I was an expert on this mountain because I’d mastered the information required in my geography lab.

Being a ‘map freak’, I was really into this assignment and eventually aced the test on Rainier in a big way! In fact, I was totally disappointed in the test because it didn’t even scratch the surface of what I’d learned about this 14,221-foot, snow-covered, volcanic cone.

Louie Giglio – Sometimes Silence is Loud

louie-giglio-sometimes-silence-is-loud

And I have to agree because this article below SCREAMS Contemplative Spirituality.

Not once is Jesus Christ the Son of God mentioned in this article.  Not once is repentance of sin mentioned in this article.  Not once is even salvation mentioned.  Just silence *ssshhhhhhh, not a sound*.

What is mentioned is:  silence, breath, contemplation, candlelit night walks, an eerie sense of anticipation, the presence and otherness of God that hung thick in the air, the scene was a little unnerving to onlookers, the idea was birthed out of a desire to see spiritual awakening, creating purpose in life, launching waves of renewal, fostering unity, breathing hope and carrying the vision to people everywhere, emotions sensed and hearts processed, that God’s greatness reflects in every facet of their lives.

Well… that’s Mysticism for you in a nutshell.

SOMETIMES SILENCE IS LOUD

By Louie Giglio,   Date:  4/7/2005

Sometimes silence is louder than words, more powerful than any sound. That was certainly the case as over 11,000 college-aged young people converged on the corner of Fifth and Broadway in downtown Nashville on a January night in early 2005. Having exited fourteen smaller Community Group settings across the city, they walked in quiet contemplation as they returned to enter a candlelit late night worship gathering in the arena at the Gaylord Entertainment Center. I had encouraged them earlier in the night to return to the Gaylord without a sound, something that seemed problematic and unrealistic to some, but a challenge and unique opportunity the students eagerly embraced….

Louie Giglio – A Baptist with an Emerging Agenda

louie-giglio-a-baptist-with-an-emerging-agenda

Apparently digging wells is more important than preaching the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.

Now I know, y’all are gonna come here and give me grief;  about how you have to “dig the well and build that bridge and create the relationship before you can preach the gospel.”   I can’t find one instance of Jesus or any of the disciples and apostles building wells, planting crops, or educating people before preaching the gospel.  They just went right in and preached.

You see you can build a well, but you can’t make the people drink.

Louie Giglio came onto the scene a while back as a Baptist.  He alluded to the fact that being a Baptist you could trust him as someone who would never deceive anyone let alone the youth!

Well everyone thought that about John Piper too and look who he hangs around with now – Mark ‘Let’s Meditate’ Driscoll. Mark recently appeared along side Rick Warren at some convention or another.   And guess who mentors Louie Giglio, well John Piper of course.

Regarding the Passion Conference:   “The conference challenged students to worship the Lord with their lives and to impact the lives of others who are hurting all over the world.”

“Worship the Lord with their lives”?  Ah they mean go out and do good works.  And “impact the lives of others hurting all over the world”, by doing good works.

Andrew Strom – Trying to Transform Africa with False Christianity

andrew-strom-trying-to-transform-africa-with-false-christianity

Africa’s ‘Christian’ population on rise they say.  The problem is they didn’t check to see if they are actually born again Christians or just part of the false Christianity sweeping over the world. DISINFORMATION is what it’s called. Tell people amazing things are happening when in fact nothing of the sort is taking place.

Quote from Douglas Busby from the article below;   ”Keep in mind that 90 percent of the continent still believes in witchcraft and spells, yes even the Christians.”

And I concur. And you know what? The same thing in America and around the world. Most of America call themselves Christian too but follow false teachings and new age practices. There are no degrees of occultism as many would love to believe. You either follow Jesus Christ the Son of God 100% and that INCLUDES the Word of God 100% (the two can’t be separated from one another) or you don’t which means you follow after other gods and are therefore NOT Christian.

Andrew “Spends more time trying to transform Africa than his own back yard” Strom, is part of the Apostolic and Prophetic movement – He did however say that he had moved away from this movement. But he has not, he is Latter Rain and he is Emergent. He is a Purpose Driver, a Change Agent. I think you and Brian McLaren need to go have a cuppa coffee together, he just loves transforming Africa too. Brian’s mission is to connect everyone that is currently disconnected.

The Rapture – An Article to Knock Your Socks Off

the-rapture-an-article-to-knock-your-socks-off

Blue SkyThe Time Has Come to debunk those errors regarding the Rapture not taking place.

I would like to say that there is a great article below called “War in Heaven, Satan Cast Out”.  I was raised in a family that followed WoF teaching (yet I rebelled and went on my own left hand path at about the age of 13).  When I realised I needed Jesus Christ in my life (much later in my life unfortunately) and was born again the ‘rapture’ was just part of something that I knew because I had heard my mother mention it so many times.

After I was saved and battled to find churches to go too, I hit the internet in search of the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.  This was where I heard for the first time in my life about Post Tribulation - Where Jesus Christ returns at the end of the Great Tribulation with no rapture of the church before that.  And then just to put another spanner in the works, I heard about Amillennialism.  Boy, oh boy.

So I started researching the Word of God and I started my research with Amillennialism, after 10 minutes of goggling I realised that Amillennialism was completely and utterly wrong.  First and foremost because St Augustine who came up with this ridiculous idea in the first place was Roman Catholic.

I then went and looked at the Post Tribulation scenario.  What I found interesting was that the Post Tribulation supporters use their verses to back up this idea but exclude the verses that point to the Rapture (or being caught up where the born again Christians will meet Jesus Christ in the air).  I read so many Post Tribulation websites and studied their little diagrams and it just didn’t make sense.  I emailed 2 ministries in which I included many Pre Tribulation (Rapture) verses in my email and asked them to include them into their articles and they refused. The reason:  They had enough Biblical scripture to prove Post Tribulation without having to include vital scripture that refuted what they say.  How convenient I thought.

So there I was back at Pre Tribulation, still researching and knowing deep down all along that this was correct and that Jesus Christ the Son of God is coming back SOON to take His children away. At the end of the Great Tribulation He will return a 2nd time, this time setting foot on earth and crushing the enemy.

Discerning the Times We Live In – Wars and Rumours of Wars

by Michael Anthony – 30 December 2009

Some say that what we call ‘peace’ is only that silent period whilst foes reload their weapons. Wars, like poverty and injustice will always be with us. We could be witnessing developments that are creating the conditions for major unrest and major wars. My primary reason for believing this is Jesus Christ’s warning of wars and rumours of wars (Matthew 24:6) as we draw nearer to the end. My secondary reason is how I read some of the evidence.

The extent of this financial crisis has not been fully revealed yet, I have heard from various sources that the dollar is being artificially sustained. Britain is reeling like a drunken sailor and Obama has been spending money like no ones business. Anybody that knows how the financial system really works is very concerned. If you have the bandwidth please watch these videos, there are animated so that anybody can follow the commentary. It is an extremely insightful but shocking expose of the monetary system.

The video is called  Money as Debt:

Patricia King – 2010: Be Fruitful, Bear Many Children

patricia-king-2010-be-fruitful-bear-many-children

patricia kingPatricia King:   2010: Be Fruitful and Multiply

[DTW notes in green]

I always understood that in the Lord we were destined for increase, but it never dawned on me until recent years that we were destined for multiplication—not just addition. The Lord challenged me in prayer one day to expect multiplication in fruitfulness. The lowest level of multiplication is double. Image yourself doubled in fruitfulness right now. What does that look like to you?

[DTW note:  Bwwahahaha I think you and TD Jakes need to get together when you do next years prophecies because TD said that 20 is 10 carried into double portion (see article here: TD Jakes – 20 is 10 Carried Into a Double Dimension).   Now Patrica you are saying that it's actually multiplication not just addition.   But wait you say that the lowest level of multiplication is double.  So we are back to TD Jakes formula - Ahhh you two did get together didn't you ;) ]

In Genesis 1:28, the Lord blessed humankind and made the following command: “Be fruitful and multiply.” You have the Word of the Lord over your life to be fruitful and to multiply in that fruitfulness. When you agree to come into this blessing, you are actually obeying God’s commanded purpose for your life.

[DTW note:   Right let's go look at:

Genesis 1:27-28   27God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it;"

I've got some shocking news for you Patricia but when God said, "Be fruitful and multiply" he meant for man to have lots and lots of kids to fill the earth and subdue it."   Now going back to what you said above;  "Image yourself doubled in fruitfulness right now. What does that look like to you?"   Well it does not look good at all, I don't need more children in my life, but thanks for the offer never the less.]

Rick Warren – Gets $2.4m in Donations

Lake Forest – Evangelical pastor Rick Warren’s plea for donations to fill a $900 000 deficit at his Southern California megachurch brought in $2.4m, Warren announced to cheers during a sermon at the church on Saturday.

Warren said the amount raised after the appeal was posted online on Wednesday included only money parishioners brought in person to Saddleback Church by New Year’s Eve. More was arriving by hand and by mail, he said.

“This is pretty amazing,” said Warren, who made the announcement by bringing out 24 volunteers each holding a sign for $100 000.

“I don’t think any church has gotten a cash offering like that off a letter.”

The pastor said he planned to talk about what he called his church’s “radical generosity” in the rest of the weekend’s sermons. He said the total came from members, and the donations were all under $100.

T.D. Jakes Prophesies that 2010 Will Be a Year of Double Portion

[DTW notes in green]

“Whenever God pulls back a bow, the arrow is going to go further than it’s ever gone before. I believe that the turning point is going to be 2010.

[DTW note:  God pulls back a bow?  JD Jakes, come now, you of all people should know that is Cupid and not God]

Dallas megachurch pastor and entrepreneur T.D. Jakes usually doesn’t make declarations or predictions for the new year.

[DTW note:  It  might be a good thing to try cut back next year.]

But the year 2010 is different.

In a video message, The Potter’s House pastor said he expects 2010 to be a year of “double portion.”

Considering the global economic slump that many have suffered through over the past year or so, Jakes sees light at the end of a tunnel.

[DTW note:  You must have suffered terribly, no money coming in, all those people out there 'lacking faith' too make it though the financial crisis - did you lack faith by any chance because your congregation did not pull through as expected?]

“The Bible is not mystical about loss. It’s just the modern day teachers that we have today that led us down the wrong path to thinking that there would be no challenges,” he noted. “The Bible has always been clear that there would be losses. But He promised to restore the years [of] cankerworms.”

Pinnoccio - False Teachers - © Discerningtheworld.com - Fair use Copyright, Please credit and link to www.discerningtheworld.com if you use this image. In defence of Discernment Bloggers

By Michael Anthony – 31 December 2009

Those WWW-D’s

In my subjective viewpoint – the mark of a balanced discernment site is that it will always have an underlying objective; a warning of the times we are living in. Discernment is not only about exposing error and false teaching; it is also about discerning the times, a very scriptural term and very scriptural advice. The escalation of unsound doctrines is a vivid, biblical sign of the times.

It is the local Pastor’s job to warn and protect the flock from wolves that seek to derail Christians who are not grounded enough. Many Pastors have my sympathy; they are just too weighed down with other ministerial duties to know about everything going on out there. The sheer volume of new and emerging heresies alone makes it impossible for any one person or ministry to keep up. Besides, many heresies – when receiving wide enough condemnation to be refuted – just reinvent themselves and come back under the radar into the church, repackaged if you will. The dynamics of growing discernment ministries are purely a counterbalance against the increasing apostasy.

Many scholars saw Christian liberalism as a bigger threat than all the cults, evolution and secular humanism put together. Guess what? It’s come back, this time with elements of Christian mysticism, and alluring philosophies. Some heresies are so chameleon and so progressive that what you learn at seminary alone may not suffice. Discernment is not really a ministry; it’s more of an accessory to ministry, things that the ‘Christian Daily Mail’ does not report on.

The Whole Counsel of God

Magnifying Glass - Image by Claudia1967Interpreting Scripture Correctly

And Commonly Used Tactics of False Teachers

Biblical illiteracy – the ‘dumbing’ down of the sheep – has become a virus. The shallow understanding of scripture most Christians have is quite astounding. Equally painful to listen to is how most Christians interpret their bible. This brief article is just a quick reference on the very basics of interpretation, if it gains any interest I will post more information.

What is extremely annoying is that false teachers hide behind hermeneutical language. (‘Hermeneutics’ is the scholarly method of interpreting scripture.) Some also claim to use the ‘grammatical-historical’ method for interpretation – which is correct – but if you analyse closer they do anything but actually follow the very principles they claim to use. Heretics are very familiar with biblical interpretation methods and think that by claiming to use them it somehow gives them more credentials.

The grammatical, historical method of interpretation is simply this; every word, vowel etc is important. The grammar is of utmost importance, change one word, comma, vowel and the meaning changes. The historical context that the particular text was written in must be taken into account as well. It’s that simple. The problem I have with scripture twisters is that they hide behind layers of deceit, yet biblical interpretation is not very difficult. It is quite straightforward to expose error; all you need is a good bible translation and common-sense. All these methods are worthless without the Holy Spirit, the author of the book, of course.

Sleight of hand

I have seen false teachers do this – they give you a kind of historical-grammatical interpretation with some really alluring illustrations but then use a bible version that no scholar worth his bean would touch with a ten foot pole….

Abide With Us

abide-with-us

Abide with us, Lord, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. Abide with us and with Your whole Church. Abide with us at the end of the day, at the end of our life, at the end of the world. Abide with us with Your grace and goodness, with your holy Word and Sacrament, with Your strength and blessing. Abide with us when the night of affliction and temptation comes upon us, the night of fear and despair, the night when death draws near. Abide with us and with all the faithful, now and forever.

In Jesus name
Amen

Post Modernism and The Dangers of Epistemology

post-modernism-and-the-dangers-of-epistemology

Bob Dylan - 30th anniversary & Song Lyrics - http://www.bobdylan.com/#/songs/times-they-are-changinPost Modernism and The Dangers of Epistemology

Written and Researched By :  Yolandi Kruger

In the early 60’s Bob Dylan’s song, “The times they are a changing”, became an instant hit. It isn’t surprising to note that this particular song has been a hit every decade since its release. Post Modernism is definitely a good representation of that song. Indeed the times are changing, but just how does it effect the modern day church?

Post Modernism is one of the hardest things to define, when it comes to theology. It is not a Christian movement that defines Christ in a literal unbiased way. Post Modernism’s roots are primarily based in continental philosophy, culture and mysticism. Most theologians have a difficult time as it is to explain the emergence of post modernism and most simply label it as a clash of ideologies and a conversation. However, it is not simply a clash of simple ideas or so called ideologies. It is a new religion, a new philosophy that sets out to destroy Christianity as we know it.

“The emerging church movement arose as a response to the perceived influence of modernism in Western Christianity. As sociologists noted a cultural shift to postmodern ways of perceiving reality in the late 20th century some Christians began to advocate changes within the church that corresponded to these cultural shifts. These critics began to assert that the church was culturally bound to modernism and began to challenge the church regarding its use of institutional structures, systematic theology,”
