Ah don’t you just love it when these things happen in Africa. I especially love it because it’s completely unverifiable. This is not the first time Reinhard Bonnke had a ‘raised from the dead’ in Africa.  But let’s first look at this story:   [DFA comments in orange below]  Â

People have been asking for more details about the 3-year-old boy that was raised from the dead last week in Sapele, Nigeria. It is a truly extraordinary story and worth some elaboration.
Last Saturday night (December 12) a woman came to the meeting with a 3-year-old son that was very ill. During the service she said that he actually passed away. I was still on the platform ministering when she brought him behind the platform. She was holding his lifeless body and weeping when the ushers found her. They confirmed that he was indeed dead and told her that all the crying in the world wouldn’t bring him back to life.  [That's a nice thing to say to a mother who has just lost her child] They said, “Take him to the medical tent.” “No,” she told them, “I want to bring him to the man of God.” Security allowed her to wait there until the service was over. [Got to wait till the service is over, can't disrupt the schedule for a 3 year old boy who died during your service.]

We see the difference between the active and contemplative Christian life illustrated in the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42. Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and heard his word, while Martha was distracted with much serving. Jesus said that Mary had chosen the best thing because she sat at his feet and was not distracted. Meditative prayer is exactly this, sitting at the feet of Jesus and hearing his word. This is a wonderful example of the art of meditative prayer. We must allow time to let the Lord speak to us through meditating on him and his word in prayer.Â

It has recently become popular to speak of “the five-fold ministry,” a system of church government with apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. The neo-Pentecostal “Restoration” movement and its offshoot, “kingdom now” teaching, claims that one of the things which God is “restoring” to the church is this five-fold ministry. The sole prooftext used to support this concept is Ephesians 4:11-13, which states that Christ gave “some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,…until we all attain to the unity of the faith and the full knowledge of the Son of God.” The word “until,” it is argued, proves that the church today needs apostles and prophets as much as evangelists, pastors, and teachers. However, it is the “building up” of the church (v.12) which must continue until the church is mature, not all five of the offices listed in verse 11. This is clear when the whole text is read as follows: “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers; [these offices were given] to equip the saints for the work of service, [which work has as its goal] to build up the body of Christ until we all attain to the unity of the faith…” The offices of apostle and prophet would naturally cease in the church once their role in “equipping the saints” was completed; that is, once the New Testament canon was completed.

Johannesburg – A Middelburg pastor, his wife and three other people have appeared in court in connection with an alleged pyramid scheme said to involve R2m, Mpumalanga police said on Thursday.
Captain Leonard Hlathi said Pastor Martin Visagie, 48, of the Revival Centre Ministries, and his wife Ellaine, 39, were released on bail of R2 000 each after an appearance on 75 counts of fraud in the Middelburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Welnice Mostert, 24, Gregory Irvin Short, 43, also appeared in court on Wednesday and were also released on bail of R2 000 each.
Short’s wife, Debra Lorraine Short, 42, appeared in court on Thursday, when she was granted bail of R2 000.
Hlathi said the arrests followed complaints of non-payment by investors in the alleged scheme.
He said the Visagie’s properties and their home – together worth an estimated R10m – were auctioned four months ago.

What Rick means is this;  if a genuine Christian stands up for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and tries to correct error with the Truth, so that people are not led astray, they portray themselves as insecure in their beliefs, are unloving and sarcastic.
However he also says that loving someone entails telling them the truth and correcting the errors so that they are not led astray. If you don’t tell the truth you portray yourself as a coward and are apathetic to those around you.
As I sat watching the FIFA 2010 draw take place last week. The President of FIFA Sepp Blatter said they had a big surprise for the world. The 2010 FIFA soccer world cup would be used in a political way for the first time ever. He said that they had a campaign in place that would provide Africa with FREE education. It’s called 1Goal.
* 1 GOAL is an ambitious and important campaign that will change the lives of children living in poverty by helping to give them an education. We’re campaigning in over 200 countries from now until the FIFA World Cup final in South Africa in 2010.

Over the last month I have seen a shocking trend. Blogs where people proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ have somehow changed their stance. Youtube ‘ministries’ have changed their message too right down to the point of denying the Trinity or that the Holy Spirit is actually female, no warnings, no gradual signs that things were dodgy, just out of the blue heresy.Â
What once seemed OK last week, is now no longer OK this week and this is basically another warning to all that you can’t be complaisant for one second. When you listen, listen VERY CAREFULLY. When you read, read BETWEEN the lines. When you watch, watch with eyes WIDE open.
Some of these blogs have somehow succumb to the spirit of unity. Or worse, they were actually false to start off with but acted out the part of being genuine really well – a round of Oscar awards for them please. Â
So I put my ‘biblical analytical antenna’ (BAA) on my head and this is what I found : Subtle Catholic influences creeping in, if not taken over completely.

So it’s happening. Muslims are having dreams and visions of something that looks like Jesus. Imagine that. If it was not for the Bible we would be none the wiser as to what was going on. Fortunately for those who do take the Word of God extremely seriously you will understand that we are in the end times, where each of the major world’s religions expects their Messiah/Christ to return.

Jews await their Messiah (not realising that it’s Jesus Christ the Son of God). But the time is coming if not here already that Jews are being born again and accepting Jesus Christ the Son of God as their Saviour. Unfortunately many are also accepting the lies of the false Christ.
This false Christ that appears in all religions through out the ages has many names: Esa, Essa, Iesous, Jesus, Yashua, Iswara, Tammuz, Adonis, Horus, Deoius, Jupiter, Cain, Cupid, Mithra, Pepi, Bacchus, Hurcules, Dionysus, Yi, Balder, Quetzalcoatl, etc.
Born again Christians await Jesus Christ the Son of God as mentioned in the Bible and the Bible only.
Morph all these ‘Christs’ together (excluding the genuine Jesus Christ that is ONLY FOUND IN THE BIBLE) you get the Cosmic Christ or just The Christ (Satan) who’s main calling card is Peace, Love and Unity. Also known as the Man of Lawlessness in the Bible. The one who comes to deceive the entire world under the disguise of peace and safety when in fact he has every intention of destroying mankind.

On November 20th, a document called the Manhattan Declarationwas released at an event at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. The Declaration has received wide media coverage, and as of this writing about ¼ million people have signed the document, with a current average of about 10 people a minute adding their names (around 14,400 a day).
One of the four drafters of the Declaration is Chuck Colson who also co-authored a document in the 90s called Evangelicals and Catholics  Together. The ECT is similar in nature in that it identifies both Catholicism and Evangelicalism as part of the Christian church and asks members of both groups to unite in areas that they have in common. With this new document, the emphasis is on morality: gay versus traditional marriage, abortion, stem cell research, assisted suicide, etc.
According to a Christianity Todayarticle on the Manhattan Declaration, both prominent evangelical leaders and Catholic leaders are main signatories:
The declaration has received national attention because, in addition to many American evangelical leaders, its [main] signatories include nine Catholic archbishops, the president of the Catholic League, the primate of the Anglican Church of Nigeria, and the primate of the Orthodox Church in America.
Given the fact that a large number of the main 149 signatories have directly or indirectly promoted advocates of the New Age/New Spirituality (i.e., contemplative/emerging), it is not difficult to see that (even with good intentions) the Manhattan Declaration may provide an appealing and subtle avenue into the New Spirituality  for a vast number of signers, many of whom might not otherwise have had exposure to it given the conservative tendencies of most of the signers.

I honestly thought I had seen it all until I stumbled across this on Youtube. I sat watching the 1st video, wondering when Jesus is coming back because I am getting to the point where I can’t take this occultism disguised as Christianity anymore. But then I found the 2nd video.  I nearly died!  So in the first video we have Patricia King promoting a man called Caleb Brundidge who looks like a Rastafarian.
Caleb is supposed to be a Christian who has this organisation/company/whatever that hosts dance parties for ‘Christians’ called Club Mysterio. In fact it’s nothing more than a Rave where instead of using the drug Ecstasy they get their kicks from a ‘holy spirit’ [in lower case] instead by ’going outside of your mind’ through dance, I mean trance. And later out of your mind or maybe you have to be out of your mind to call yourself a Christian and accept something like this as being of God.
I have transcribed the entire 2 videos word for word for those who don’t have high bandwidth connections or bandwidth costs are too expensive. But I URGE you to never the less VIEW BOTH videos for you have to see it to believe it!

Last year I wrote an article on Caleb Brundidge;  he is an itinerant for Extreme Prophetic and a DJ for what he called “Club Mysterio” that hosted Ekstasis Worship dances/raves with Patricia King. My he has come far in his career since 2008.
We have Rick Warren author of Purpose Driven Life, etc, who has declared Uganda to be a “Purpose-Driven Nation“. Rick Warren also runs the Global P.E.A.C.E plan and is Barack Obama’s Christian adviser.
“Warren’s main point man in Uganda was Martin Ssempa, a pastor who is a strong backer of the Anti-Homosexuality bill. Ssempa has appeared at Warren’s Saddleback Church, although Warren distanced himself from Ssempa’s views in October and said he had cut ties with him in 2007.
But in a statement to Newsweek on Sunday, Warren also declined to condemn the pending legislation that Ssempa and others back:
Acts 2:17:Â Â 17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, said God, I will pour out of my Spirit on all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams”
Are we seeing the Latter Rain that the book of Joel predicted?
There are three facets to keep in mind to have a correct interpretation of (Acts 2:17) which refers to (Joel 2,3).
Time                  Â
Place              Â
Recipients
All three need to be accurate to determine if in fact it this outpouring has taken place.
Time-Â Â this occurs in the tribulation period near the end, so it is impossible for this to be happening now.
Place-Â It begins in Israel specifically Mt. Zion (Jerusalem).
Recipients-Â Â It is to the Jewish people primarily for them to be saved. If this is not taking place with all three elements then it has not happened as the Scripture records and it is not fulfilled prophecy.
Latter Rain adherents have a movement that believes in a last day’s revival unlike any other in history. This revival is for the church.  They incorrectly apply eschatological passages specifically for Israel to the church. The common mistake is taking the scripture in (Acts 2:17) which says: ‘God will pour out His Spirit on all flesh,’ to substantiate what is happening in the new revivals today. This is not the meaning of this verse and cannot be applied today for the above mentioned reasons.
If we go back to the book of (Joel 2:28-32), we find that the timing of these events are just before the great and dreadful Day of the Lord, which is the day he comes back (Armageddon). The location where this takes place is the land of Israel. The people being referred to are the Jews. Peter himself is in Jerusalem and speaking to the Jews at Pentecost. (Joel 3 states: ‘for behold in those days and in that time...’ It then goes on to speak of Armageddon and judgement). This is also mentioned earlier in (Joel 2:10-11). So we see that this is speaking specifically to the Jewish nation concerning a future event. What Peter is referring to in (Acts 2) does not include all of what is to happen in (Joel 2). It is partial fulfilment at Peters time and a complete fulfilment will be at a later date. There is a main similarity that Peter explains, to say this is what Joel spoke of- it has to do with the pouring out of the Spirit (a manifestation of the Spirit among the Jewish brethren).
