No wonder everyone is confused, no one just says what they mean anymore. What they mean is this; first they teach you the OCCULT way of prayer (contemplative meditation/prayer) and then you can do the normal biblical standard way of praying.]
Bethany Healing Room

Mike Bickle is the director of the International House of Prayer Missions Base in Kansas City (IHOP–KC), an evangelical missions organization based on 24/7 prayer with worship that is engaged in evangelism, healing the sick, inner city outreach, multiple justice initiatives, planting houses of prayer, and training missionaries. IHOP–KC has continued in nonstop prayer led by worship teams since September 19,1999, and is committed to combining 24/7 prayers for justice with 24/7 works of justice. IHOP–KC offers full-time training in Bible, music, and media schools. Mike’s teaching emphasizes growing in passion for Jesus through intimacy with God, doing evangelism and missions work from the place of night and day prayer, and the end times.
Mike Bickle, director of the International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City, and a well-known leader in the Prophetic Movement, claims that God is restoring contemplative prayer to the church. He goes on to claim that contemplative prayer is a God ordained means of entering into the fullness of God, and that the brightest lights in church history have been Roman Catholic mystics who lived during the dark ages. He went on to say the western church had much to learn from these mystics.
Anti-evangelical propaganda is prominent throughout his message. He informs his followers that they are constantly being put on the defensive by, and apologizing to, evangelical Christians for their intensity toward God by saying “Other Christians force us to hide our intensity—to wear a façade. “…even believers in Jesus…are made uncomfortable and intimidated by our spiritual intensity.”
However, he comforts them with the good news that they don’t “have to wear any façade” when they got together in little oasis’ “like this” (meaning his and other prophetic meetings). He continued his barrage against evangelicals by saying,
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Over the last decade the International House of Prayer, or IHOP as it’s usually called, has become a destination where worshippers lift non-stop praise and prayer up to God 24-hours a day. Now, there’s a new level of worship taking place at the ministry.
A series of miracle-filled meetings has been going on at the IHOP almost nightly since early November. As CBN News arrived to check out this move of the Holy Spirit, two young men were testifying about healings they had just experienced.

“I’ve been asking the Lord for the last few days to heal my eyes,” Jay said. “A couple of people came over and prayed for me and my eyes…and now I can read things that are far away.” And he said the clock is now crystal clear.
Steve Moduno works with one of the other worship teams. Suffering with asthma since he was born, Steve has never been able to take deep breaths.
But he’d just been prayed for when CBN News showed up.
“Immediately I could breathe deeply.” We asked him to take a deep breath. He sucked in huge gulps of air. We said, “You were never able to do that before?” “No,” he replied, with a big, happy grin.

Mark Driscoll is a name that has grown in popularity among evangelicals especially over the past few years. Somewhat known for his vulgar and crass language in public, he has been invited to speak at conferences by a wide assortment of Christian leaders-John Piper and Robert Schuller to name two. Driscoll also shared a platform this year at the Gospel Coalition National Conference with a number of respected Christian evangelical figures such as D.A. Carson, Erwin Lutzer, and Joshua Harris. Coming up in 2010, Driscoll has been invited by Rick Warren to speak at the Radicalis conference.
Although Driscoll, pastor of Mars Hill Fellowship in Seattle Washington, is said to have denounced certain aspects of the emergent church, Driscoll is a proponent of the main element behind the emerging church – contemplative prayer.
Presently, on Driscoll’s website, The Resurgence (see whois info) is an article titled “How to Practice Meditative Prayer.” The article is written by an Acts 29 (Driscoll’s network of churches) pastor, Winfield Bevins. A nearly identical article on Driscoll’s site, also by Bevins, is titled Meditative Prayer: Filling the Mind. Both articles show a drawing of a human brain. In this latter article, Bevins recognizes contemplative mystic pioneer Richard Foster:

The new-old magical way to get in touch with God –
The well-known song “Silence is Golden may have been a hit on the singles UK charts in 1967, but the refrain “Silence is Truth” has hit the Christian Church like a tsunami, carrying with it in it’s destructive wake many unsuspecting Christians. One of the major contributors to this utterly devastating “silent” storm is the Mosaic Church in Fairlands, Johannesburg.
As an introduction to my critique on the Mosaic Congress I would like to draw your attention to certain words and phrases that all the keynote speakers used throughout their presentations. A word that kept popping up like a well-watered toadstool in each of their corpulently worded lectures was the word “silence.”Bearing in mind that most of these speakers’ mentors and gurus have drunk from the wells of Buddhism (i.e. Thomas Merton, Thomas Keating etc.) it is no surprise that their entire spiritual journey revolves mainly around Buddhist spiritualities and not the cross of Jesus Christ. In fact, the only time they referred to the word “cross” was when they endearingly spoke of St John of the Cross, a Desert Father who coined the phrase “Silence is the first language of God.”
Oh wait they forgot to include Evangelists in their survey like Benny Hinn – He often goes to Kathryn Kuhlman’s grave to get power and Kobus van Rensburg from Spirit Word TV was filmed live on his TV show eating grass from around William Branham’s grave (in the USA) - because ‘God’ told him he would receive Branham’s mantle if he ate the grass – Oh wait this article is about channelling. What Benny Hinn et al. are doing is necromancy. Sorry wrong topic.
But do not be worried about this exposure Senators, Democrats, Republicans and other politicians in America and around the world; especially those in the basements of the UN buildings and the Vatican, etc. Here in South Africa practically our entire government communicates with their dead ancestors and visiting Witchdoctors or Syngomas are the norm. Gosh even Princess Diana had her own personal medium. Like what’s new?

It’s fitting that James Cameron’s “Avatar” arrived in theaters at Christmastime. Like the holiday season itself, the science fiction epic is a crass embodiment of capitalistic excess wrapped around a deeply felt religious message. It’s at once the blockbuster to end all blockbusters, and the Gospel According to James.
But not the Christian Gospel. Instead, “Avatar” is Cameron’s long apologia for pantheism — a faith that equates God with Nature, and calls humanity into religious communion with the natural world.
In Cameron’s sci-fi universe, this communion is embodied by the blue-skinned, enviably slender Na’Vi, an alien race whose idyllic existence on the planet Pandora is threatened by rapacious human invaders. The Na’Vi are saved by the movie’s hero, a turncoat Marine, but they’re also saved by their faith in Eywa, the “All Mother,” described variously as a network of energy and the sum total of every living thing.
If this narrative arc sounds familiar, that’s because pantheism has been Hollywood’s religion of choice for a generation now. It’s the truth that Kevin Costner discovered when he went dancing with wolves. It’s the metaphysic woven through Disney cartoons like “The Lion King” and “Pocahontas.” And it’s the dogma of George Lucas’s Jedi, whose mystical Force “surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together.”
Lawyers for the Roman Catholic Church have urged a court in Malaysia to let Christians use “Allah” as a translation for God and overturn a government ban that has become a symbol of religious grievances in the Muslim-majority nation, the Associated Press is reporting.
The High Court began hearing legal arguments Monday in the dispute, which began in late 2007 after the government blocked non-Muslims from translating God as “Allah” in their literature on the grounds that it would confuse Muslims.
Authorities have insisted that the name should be used exclusively by Muslims. The ban mainly affects the Malay-language edition of the Catholic Church’s main publication in Malaysia, The Herald, which is read mostly by indigenous tribes who converted to Christianity decades ago.
“Our position has been made clear to the court,” The Herald’s editor, the Rev. Lawrence Andrew, told the AP. “The main thing is we’ve been using this word … for a long time, for centuries.”
But in recent years, authorities have seized some Malay-language Bibles that used “Allah.”
We are reminded of reports a couple of years ago that a Catholic bishop in the Netherlands wanted Dutch Catholics to call God “Allah.”
Tiny Muskens, then the bishop of Breda, told a Dutch television station that using the name in church, as is common in many Muslim countries, would eventually promote rapprochement between Islam and Christianity.
“Someone like me has prayed to Allah yang maha kuasa [Almighty God] for eight years in Indonesia and other priests for 20 or 30 years,” he said. “In the heart of the Eucharist, God is called Allah over there, so why can’t we start doing that together?”

So I drew up a table taking the Seven Transformations of Leadership from David Rooke and William R. Torbert and then I did a comparison with regards to mankind’s growth into New Age Spirituality. William Torbet promotes New Age Spiritual transformation. The outcome of my comparison is not at all surprising.

Ah don’t you just love it when these things happen in Africa. I especially love it because it’s completely unverifiable. This is not the first time Reinhard Bonnke had a ‘raised from the dead’ in Africa. But let’s first look at this story: [DFA comments in orange below]

People have been asking for more details about the 3-year-old boy that was raised from the dead last week in Sapele, Nigeria. It is a truly extraordinary story and worth some elaboration.
Last Saturday night (December 12) a woman came to the meeting with a 3-year-old son that was very ill. During the service she said that he actually passed away. I was still on the platform ministering when she brought him behind the platform. She was holding his lifeless body and weeping when the ushers found her. They confirmed that he was indeed dead and told her that all the crying in the world wouldn’t bring him back to life. [That's a nice thing to say to a mother who has just lost her child] They said, “Take him to the medical tent.” “No,” she told them, “I want to bring him to the man of God.” Security allowed her to wait there until the service was over. [Got to wait till the service is over, can't disrupt the schedule for a 3 year old boy who died during your service.]
In Hebrew thought, to meditate upon the Scriptures is to quietly repeat them, giving oneself entirely to God, and abandoning outside distractions. The two main things that we are told to meditate on are God’s word and God’s goodness. Paul tells us, “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (Philippians 4:8).
[DTW: Oh so the word 'think' in that verse now justifies practicing occult practices. SATANIC PRACTICES are NOT honourable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, of excellence, and worthy of praise unless you are speaking about another god, which you are. Think about that. Now, now, don't go sit on the floor in some quiet place, just right where you are, right now, use your brain (that GOD gave you to THINK with) and think about it. Then pick up your Bible and go find some real scripture to back up this nonsence - you will find none.]
We see the difference between the active and contemplative Christian life illustrated in the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42. Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and heard his word, while Martha was distracted with much serving. Jesus said that Mary had chosen the best thing because she sat at his feet and was not distracted. Meditative prayer is exactly this, sitting at the feet of Jesus and hearing his word. This is a wonderful example of the art of meditative prayer. We must allow time to let the Lord speak to us through meditating on him and his word in prayer.

It has recently become popular to speak of “the five-fold ministry,” a system of church government with apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. The neo-Pentecostal “Restoration” movement and its offshoot, “kingdom now” teaching, claims that one of the things which God is “restoring” to the church is this five-fold ministry. The sole prooftext used to support this concept is Ephesians 4:11-13, which states that Christ gave “some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,…until we all attain to the unity of the faith and the full knowledge of the Son of God.” The word “until,” it is argued, proves that the church today needs apostles and prophets as much as evangelists, pastors, and teachers. However, it is the “building up” of the church (v.12) which must continue until the church is mature, not all five of the offices listed in verse 11. This is clear when the whole text is read as follows: “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers; [these offices were given] to equip the saints for the work of service, [which work has as its goal] to build up the body of Christ until we all attain to the unity of the faith…” The offices of apostle and prophet would naturally cease in the church once their role in “equipping the saints” was completed; that is, once the New Testament canon was completed.

Johannesburg – A Middelburg pastor, his wife and three other people have appeared in court in connection with an alleged pyramid scheme said to involve R2m, Mpumalanga police said on Thursday.
Captain Leonard Hlathi said Pastor Martin Visagie, 48, of the Revival Centre Ministries, and his wife Ellaine, 39, were released on bail of R2 000 each after an appearance on 75 counts of fraud in the Middelburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Welnice Mostert, 24, Gregory Irvin Short, 43, also appeared in court on Wednesday and were also released on bail of R2 000 each.
Short’s wife, Debra Lorraine Short, 42, appeared in court on Thursday, when she was granted bail of R2 000.
Hlathi said the arrests followed complaints of non-payment by investors in the alleged scheme.
He said the Visagie’s properties and their home – together worth an estimated R10m – were auctioned four months ago.

What Rick means is this; if a genuine Christian stands up for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and tries to correct error with the Truth, so that people are not led astray, they portray themselves as insecure in their beliefs, are unloving and sarcastic.
However he also says that loving someone entails telling them the truth and correcting the errors so that they are not led astray. If you don’t tell the truth you portray yourself as a coward and are apathetic to those around you.
As I sat watching the FIFA 2010 draw take place last week. The President of FIFA Sepp Blatter said they had a big surprise for the world. The 2010 FIFA soccer world cup would be used in a political way for the first time ever. He said that they had a campaign in place that would provide Africa with FREE education. It’s called 1Goal.
* 1 GOAL is an ambitious and important campaign that will change the lives of children living in poverty by helping to give them an education. We’re campaigning in over 200 countries from now until the FIFA World Cup final in South Africa in 2010.
* 1 GOAL is quite simply a global team that will voice our wishes to world leaders to keep their promise of giving everyone an education by 2015.

Over the last month I have seen a shocking trend. Blogs where people proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ have somehow changed their stance. Youtube ‘ministries’ have changed their message too right down to the point of denying the Trinity or that the Holy Spirit is actually female, no warnings, no gradual signs that things were dodgy, just out of the blue heresy.
What once seemed OK last week, is now no longer OK this week and this is basically another warning to all that you can’t be complaisant for one second. When you listen, listen VERY CAREFULLY. When you read, read BETWEEN the lines. When you watch, watch with eyes WIDE open.
Some of these blogs have somehow succumb to the spirit of unity. Or worse, they were actually false to start off with but acted out the part of being genuine really well – a round of Oscar awards for them please.
So I put my ‘biblical analytical antenna’ (BAA) on my head and this is what I found : Subtle Catholic influences creeping in, if not taken over completely.

So it’s happening. Muslims are having dreams and visions of something that looks like Jesus. Imagine that. If it was not for the Bible we would be none the wiser as to what was going on. Roman Catholics await their Eucharist Christ (Jesus son of Goddess Mary),
Jews await their Messiah (not realising that it’s Jesus Christ the Son of God). But the time is coming if not here already that Jews are being born again and accepting Jesus Christ the Son of God as their Saviour. Unfortunately many are also accepting the lies of the false Christ.
This false Christ that appears in all religions through out the ages has many names: Esa, Essa, Iesous, Jesus, Yashua, Iswara, Tammuz, Adonis, Horus, Deoius, Jupiter, Cain, Cupid, Mithra, Pepi, Bacchus, Hurcules, Dionysus, Yi, Balder, Quetzalcoatl, etc.
Born again Christians await Jesus Christ the Son of God as mentioned in the Bible and the Bible only.
Morph all these ‘Christs’ together (excluding the genuine Jesus Christ that is ONLY FOUND IN THE BIBLE) you get the Cosmic Christ or just The Christ (Satan) who’s main calling card is Peace, Love and Unity. Also known as the Man of Lawlessness in the Bible. The one who comes to deceive the entire world under the disguise of peace and safety when in fact he has every intention of destroying mankind.
How do you tell the difference? Well it’s rather easy.

As I sat watching the FIFA 2010 draw take place last week. The President of FIFA Sepp Blatter said they had a big surprise for the world. The 2010 FIFA soccer world cup would be used in a political way for the first time ever. He said that they had a campaign in place that would provide Africa with FREE education. It’s called 
Over the last month I have seen a shocking trend. Blogs where people proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ have somehow changed their stance. Youtube ‘ministries’ have changed their message too right down to the point of denying the Trinity or that the Holy Spirit is actually female, no warnings, no gradual signs that things were dodgy, just out of the blue heresy.
