New Prayers for The New Age

New Prayers for The New Age

The Golden Rule Poster - www.scarboromissions.ca/Golden_rule/school_curriculum.php - New AgeNew Age Emergent rendition of the Lord’s Payer

(This is a Parody of Christ-free Christianity)

Our non gender specific guardian,
Who art in a safe and non judgemental cocoon,
Hallowed be thy preferred choice of nomenclature.
Thy constitutional republic, come,
Thy mission statement reach fruition,
On our commune, as it is the Sustainable Ecosystem,
Give us this day our non exploitive, organic bruschetta with balsamic reduction,
And forgive us our oppresive thought crimes,
As we forgive those who oppress us with their thoughts,
And deliver us from fun and spontaneity,
For thine is the non threatening authority and the aspirational goal,
And so be it, if all of us are comfortable with that.

If that’s too difficult to memorize you can use this one…

The Golden Rule Poster - www.scarboromissions.ca/Golden_rule/school_curriculum.php - New Age

Lord of Our Diversity

(A real prayer sung at a real church convention…)

Lord of our diversity, unite us all, we pray;
welcome us to fellowship in your inclusive way

Teach us all to have respect; to love, and not deride.
Save us from the challenges of selfishness and pride.

Sanctify our listening and help us get the sense
of perplexing arguments before we take offense.
Teach us that opinions which at first may seem quite strange
may reflect the glory of your great creative range.

May the Holy Spirit now show us the way preferred.
May we follow the commands of your authentic Word.

This hymm/prayer above was sung to the music of Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” at the 14th Anglican Consultative Council held at the National Arena of Kingston, Jamaica (9-10 May 2009).  Written by poet Mervyn Morris and composer Noel Dexter of Jamaica

The More Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori who attened the Anglican Communion said,

“We sang a new song like the psalmist urges, a hymn written for the occasion…It’s an image of what looking for Jesus in strangers might look like”  –  ecusa.anglican.org

    what a beautiful song.

Obviously it comes from the hearts of people who know God is bigger than the walls we put up. In Christ, all the walls have come down.

  • Amanda

That is right, Chad. Emergents have more in common with the writings of Alice Bailey and Maitreya than with Christianity.

So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
    (Matthew 10:32-39)

Why did Jesus Christ die, Chad?

  • Janet Brown

    Too vague chad.
    Define.
    1. Name some walls we put up.
    2. Name some walls that have come down
    3. Define how Christ did that.
without using the words penal substitutionary atonement, forgiveness of sin, repentance, Jesus’ words I am the way, truth and life and no one comes to the father except by me. Bet you can do it.

Hello, I do get the HTTP 500 Internal server error on you new website. Not sure if you will get this email, because I get errors with the email sent. I got to your website by change last week, and I love you God-given discernment and character. Regarding Moreletta. In 2006 I saw in NG Moreletta website they do practice “Theophostics” – false visualization healing technicians. I submitted then to them that this is no good, and they should ask the Lord about it…and to date they still practice “Theophostics”. Thus they open some doors on themselves. I also heard the Hatfield Christian Church has now also started with this “Theophostic” healing techniques. You are right with the deception in church.
What is your thoughts of Gretha Wiid?
and what is your thoughts on (www.danielstimeline.com/calendar.htm) (I believe this calendar to be true)
    Keep up the good work

  • Discerning the World

    Hi Sarah

Yes sorry about that. We are working on da problem. Should be sorted out soon.

Yes visualisation is a big thing in the chuch today. You can pretty much visualise anything. Visualise more money in your bank account or visualise your broken leg unbroken lol.

WOF churches have been doing this for ages now. Visualisation was encompassed in their teaching of ‘faith’ or word of faith. Your words have power and you can speak things into your life. Then they just added to it and incorporated visualisation which is eastern techniques and involves meditation.

Gertha Wiid? Aint heard of her yet. But I will check her out. Maybe someone reading this site knows. Will check the link as well.

    Thanks!!!

Re: danielstimeline.com. I think the people who run this website are either 7th day adventists or christians who want to be jews (Hebrew roots movement) – they keep the law etc, etc, etc. So I personally would ignore everything on their website. Anyone can get ‘most’ of the story correct.

I myself along with my hubby and some family of mine and some others fully believe 100000000000% that the trib started near the end of Jan 2009. I have no doubt what so ever. When he appeared on tv the first time I saw a ‘nice’ man. When he all of a sudden ran for presidency, I thought, ‘what the?’ When the world went nuts about him, I though, ‘no way’. When he was inaugurated as president I knew.

Rome (False Prophet) will hand ‘her’ power to him within the next +/- 3.5 years.

But this is my view and what I see based on research and bible prophecy. I might be wrong. However based on what I’ve read (fact) about him and the things he has said and done so far..well..it’s gonna take a lot to persuade me otherwise.

    Watch and pray.

Oh just to clarify. (mostly for others who might think they have a crack to squeeze though in attacking me…lol)

Jews are God’s chosen race and are Jews
    Gentiles are gentiles
A Jew who is born again is a born again Jew (culture is still Jewish) but new creature in Jesus Christ – a child of God – a spiritual child of Abraham
A Gentile who is born again is a born again Gentile (culture is what ever country we are born in) but we are a new creature in Jesus Christ – a child of God – a spiritual child of Abraham

    The word of God
    1) Prophecy and Good news for the Jews to make them see that Jesus Christ is their Messiah and that they need to be born again.
    2) Good news for Gentiles that we can be born again (We do not become jews or take on Jewish customs)
    3) When born again the word of God solely revolves around repentance of sin and our eternal salvation.

A so called christian who takes on jewish customs and thinks that they have to call Jesus Yeshua otherwise they are not chosen is a load of rubbish. Jesus came to fullfil the law and the law is now written in our hearts (the Holy Spirit is inside of us) not on the outside where we need to follow rituals to FEEL saved.

Like Angus, he loves to misguide south africans into thinking that if we all hold hands and hug eachother and say ‘sorry’ then God will prosper our land. Well, no, because we are not Jews, South Africa is not Israel and the prospering of land becomes spiritual – spiritual riches – salvation.

Hi, I totally agree that the end is within the next 6-8 years, then comes the 1000 years, then I can go into my full calling. 3 years ago when I sensed that the Lord told me that I am not going to die here and I do not need to worry about no pension, I was mocked by my Christian friends. Anyway anyhow, can’t wait till this is all over! So glad I am not going to work till pension age, would be 40 when Jesus comes! I am going to listen to these Daniels… people on Saturday (They speak about Paganism & sun worship, Free masons, illuminati and a new world order today, The anti Christ, Mark of the beast etc etc,). I’ll have open ears, one to the Lord, and the other to the teaching. Knowledge & discerning is good, especially the times we are going in (or already in)!

Hi, in some point of interest in today’s news (News24) with heading Palestinians must unite – UN (28 Aug 2009) the following is being said in this article:
“The UN chief called on Israelis and Palestinians to relaunch the Middle East peace process now that US President Barack Obama was taking the lead in this process.Ban urged both sides to stick to their commitments under a roadmap for peace”

Interesting that Daniel 9 speaks of the Anti-Christ that would make the peace covenant for 7 years (and break it in 3&1/2 years)

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm a covenant with the many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. And on a corner of the altar will be abominations that desolate, even until the end. And that which was decreed shall pour out on the desolator.

Thus we await this BIRTH of the peace agreement, which will happen any time soon! (any day now)
