Elza Meyer Attacked by Demons, Saved by Son

ELZA MEYER ATTACKED BY DEMONS, SAVED BY SON

No, her real son, not Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Sorry to disappoint.

Thanks to Thomas for spotting this one. Elza Meyer from Moreleta Park Dutch Reformed Church had this to say…

“During the Eastern Cape conference demons attacked my body. We were unable to break the effect thereof until I phoned my son, Pieter, late that night asking him to pray for me. He claimed 10 million souls, saved and baptized in exchange for the attack on my life. It immediately stopped. The Moreleta Park congregation was led to formulate a new goal for the congregation, namely 10 million souls within ten years. The overriding aim is to reach 10 million souls with the Gospel and to make them disciples of Jesus Christ.” (Emphasis added)   — [1]

Why does this story of Elza Meyer sound almost identical to Rodney Howard-Browne’s story

RodneyHoward-Browne And Wife“Christmas morning, Dec 25, 2002, changed the lives of Dr’s Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne forever. It was early hours of that morning, that Kelly, their 18 year old daughter, passed away in his arms. She had suffered from the incurable disease, Cystic Fibrosis for 18 years.

As she passed away, Rodney and Adonica offered up to Jesus the best gift they had to offer, their daughter. Rodney then vowed, that because the devil had taken their daughter with this dreaded disease, he would pay with 100 million souls over the next 10 years.

Thus began the burning of the vision for 100 million souls.”

Thomas had this important comment to say as well regarding Angus Buchan who preaches as Moreletta Park too.

“Angus Buchan’s appearances thus far at the Moreleta Park Dutch Reformed Church doesn’t seem to have had any lasting effect on the pastors, and the husbands and wives in their congregation. Wherever oom Angus preaches he admonishes the men to love their wives and the wives to submit themselves to their husbands. What kind of mighty men has oom Angus nurtured in the Moreleta Park congregation at his Mighty Men Conferences who do not warn their wives against Elza Meyer’s erroneous doctrines, or are they all in submission to their wives under a petticoat government? Elza Meyer herself isn’t much of a good example to the wives who seems to be governing the male pastors and the entire congregation with an iron fist, and leading the way for the entire congregation to buy into her unbiblical demand for the salvation of 10 million lost souls in exchange for her miraculous survival of a severe demonic attack on her life. Is it really true that not a single male pastor or other male congregant hasn’t warned her of her unbiblical teachings?”

I think we have a case for the Myth Busters team

Oh my goodness, what next, as if we can bring anything to God that will be acceptable for Him… what a joke, and this even with the NG church??? Oh my goodness. How about the one where Satan took their daughter, wow where is the faith in that? And now we need to save souls (as if we can do that) to get the devil back, is this the reason why we want to tell people about Christ, is this the driving force? God says, on your own you can do nothing… I do it for the love for Him for what He gave to me without a price…

  2. Philip says:

Dsicerning the World, which church do you belong to, I am planning in going to SA but only for a month and would love to meet you.

  3. Discerning The World says:

No church, just fellowship with a few Christians here and there. I generally don’t meet people because I just dunno who I am going to be really meeting….and I need to keep this blog going for as long as possible…lol

  4. Philip says:

just enjoy your articles and have more or less the same views. you can see who we are before meeting us at http://www.savedlerouxs.blogspot.com. but if not, that is also fine just thought we see things teh same way and there are only few of us. keep the blog going please

  5. Discerning The World says:

Nooooooooooooo problem Philip. You may communicate with me via email, but gimme a while if I don’t relpy. I will most definitely keep this blog going 🙂 I know there only only a few of us….terrible isn’t it. Let’s see what happens.

In fact go sign up at http://www.lifestylec.com they are trying to create a decent email list of genuine born again Christians.

  6. Discerning The World says:

Very good thoughts, I didn’t even notice that.

In fact Rodney was here in SA recently and he told the same story to the audience, it brought tears to the congregations eyes. After that they were willing to depart with all their money.

  7. J O Spies says:

“…He claimed 10 million souls, saved and baptized in exchange for the attack on my life…”

Strange how Satan would allow 10 million souls to be saved and baptized in exchange for the attack(s) to stop… doesn’t sound cosher to me…

“…As she passed away, Rodney and Adonica offered up to Jesus the best gift they had to offer, their daughter. Rodney then vowed, that because the devil had taken their daughter with this dreaded disease, he would pay with 100 million souls over the next 10 years…”

First he “offered” his daughter up to Jesus, but in the same breath acknowledges that “the devil had taken their daughter.”

Surely if the latter was the case, his daughter would not be with the Lord right now. If satan can take a loved one and that person can still end up with the Lord, that would mean that one doesn’t have to be saved to go to heaven… or is that something we shouldn’t assume…

    Just a thought

Hi there Deborah! It is shocking to read about Elza Meyer of Moreleta Park. You know my back ground, yes? the moment I read this:
“Hy (her son) het 10 miljoen siele, gered en gedoop, geëis in ruil vir die aanslag op my lewe. ” –
Because it shocked me to standstil, I didn’t read the rest for a while. (I did later, so this is a possible meaning of that sentence, ok?) How dare this woman exchange 10 million saved and baptized souls for one “attack” on her “body” by demons? How dare anybody exchange/ ask of the Lord: (in my words) Give satan 10 million of already saved and baptized souls so that the attack on myself can subside. Apparently there is (50%) roughly (my maths!) people in MoreletaPark Church that believed this ordeal and are running with that “vision”. and may I ad : don’t they realise that just maybe ? many of them are part of that 10 million that would have been “given to satan in exchange” for one woman who tumbles down under an attack of demons on her body (not even her soul – “demons attacked my body” )?
I read the “storie agter die storie” ) Good story, baie deurmekaar, especially the part about the covenant (2 much info 2 discuss here), no relevance whatsoever with the “exchange”-story! man, people like this (lady / church) really need knowledge and discernment!

No, it is not okay to Viva Moreletapark or Elza Meyer and her legendary ceremonies. They have let Mynhardt van Pletzen loose on their youth and allows Dr. Stephan Joubert to set their youth against the older generation:

Jy wil darem sekerlik nie oud word soos party ou mense nie. Party grootmense is so vervelig jy sukkel so vyf minute om die verskil tussen hulle en ‘n stopstraat agter te kom. Jy wil nie so oud word nie. Jy wil nie soos ou dominee teen alles wees nie. Net weer vanoggend by ‘n kerk waar ek was sê die oom: Ek is diep bekommerd oor die jeug. Toe sê ek: Oom, weet jy hoeveel jongmense diep bekommerd is oor julle oumense. Nee, ‘n mens moet darem die ding terug doen.

    Tony Campolo:

Beyond these models of reconciliation, a theology of mysticism provides some hope for common ground between Christianity and Islam. Both religions have within their histories examples of ecstatic union with God … I do not know what to make of the Muslim mystics, especially those who have come to be known as the Sufis. What do they experience in their mystical experiences? Could they have encountered the same God we do in our Christian mysticism?

    Rob Bell:

    Everything is sacred.

Ron Martoia, Leonard Sweet and Stephan Joubert. If you want to know what Stephan teaches, check out A biblical appraisal of the Mosaic Congress held at the Mosaic Church in Fairlands, Johannesburg (4-5 Sept. 2009). I can tell you that is not Christianity.

Sparkling Star, if you want to defend Moreletapark, do it on Biblical grounds. You say:

Why people always has to be negative about Elza or the Church or even about people whom is willing to do God’s work.

Then answer this simple question: What must we do, to be doing the works of God?

  10. Sparkling Star says:

    I tog! die arme Cecilia.
Why people always has to be negative about Elza or the Church or even about people whom is willing to do God’s work. Please Cecilia, do yourself a favour and make an appointment to talk to Elza yourself or attend one of her sermonies of conferences. Your eye will open (only if you wish so). All I want to say – VIVA Elza Meyer, Moreleta NG Church, whom is more Carismatic than Tranditional.

  11. Sparkling star

I am so tired of this ridiculous non-christian, non-biblical argument, so I am going to reply with an “okie dokie then”.

  12. Jean says:

@ Sparkling star . . . We are called to test the spirits and when we identify a False teacher/prophet, we must Expose him/her and warn other to stay away from these “teachers”. Please read 1 Jon 4:1-6.

  13. Jean – Correct.

Sparkling star – The same principle applies if you found out someone was not an honest person and committed fraud. You report them. You don’t invite them over for coffee and leave your wallet lying on the table.

  14. cecilia says:

thanks Jean! I would have given the same comment.

another thing Ss: ek is NIE arm nie! en – ek ken ‘n hele paar mense wat by daardie byeenkoms (en nog ander van haar ook) was, en dit wat hulle vertel, is “extra-biblical”. dit volg die reël van die dag: “can you feel it? can you feel it? can you feel it?!” hul speel op gevoelens (waarvan vroue ‘n deeglike hoeveelheid van het) en vra dan dat jy self ook moet “voel”; gebruik jou “imagination”… “see this in your spirit..”. daar word nie gesê toets dit aan die Woord van God nie.
    NAR.
veel meer kan nie gesê word nie.

  15. Jean says:

There is another “problem” with Elza Meyer and that is . . .
She is in a leadership/teaching position at Moraleta.
If I read my Bible “correctly” then this also is a big problem . . .

A friend of mine has this very “nice” way of explaining this.
    He says:
You know how a LONG and HIGH radio antennae used by Radio amateurs look like. Well that is how a woman’s senses/emotional reception antennae in the spirit looks like. These LONG antennas catch ALL the signals and confusion can very easily happen.
A man however has again a very SHORT antennae and quit often miss a lot of signals, leading to sometime being hard-of-hearing in the spirit. Men can be so “thick” some times. Well, ladies, now you understand why we men are not always “tuned-in” …we don’t always “pick-up” the signal…:-)
Friends, we were made this way by God so that when man and woman get together in marriage, the LONG and the SHORT must both be used to get to “just the right length” and a balance is established. Women are usually the first to hear from God and the men need to discern if it is God speaking or not.

Do you see the WISDOM in this?
God made man in a certain role and woman placed by his side in another role and thus established HIS ORDER on how we should live on this earth. Together we, Man and wife, should be in harmony and become ONE !
God also decided ,not man, that teaching in a church should be done by a man.
God did not try to be “funny” when he did this, it is for “safety” reasons !
A Woman can more easily be deceived and this lead people astray. A man will not so easily pick-up wrong signals and be deceived.

This order of God exists in the physical and in the spiritual realms . . .if we mess with this order we land in trouble … like Moreleta now has…

Moreleta is “messing” with God’s order by allowing Elza to dictate/teach their church. Elza’s antennae has pick up some bad signals and the men are not doing their jobs as watch-MEN by discerning this and now they, without realizing this yet, are picking and will be picking even more very bad fruits in their church.

  16. Jean

I totally agree. There is a role for women to play and being head of a church is NOT one of them.

I thank Jesus that women are not placed in this position. What a disaster that would be lol. Oh wait, look at the disaster because they disobeyed His Word.

But that does not stop women from speaking the gospel. And because the world has destroyed mens rightful place at the head of the home. We now have a church full of idiots for pastors and women trying to be men. As Thomas Lessing said on his blog – Not one man has rebuked her.

Not one husband has come to the defence of his wife and said, “you will NOT listen to this women Elza Meyer who speaks lies.” Noooo Angus says wives are to be subservient to their husbands to the point of dying spiritually and forcing false teaching onto their family.

Going back to the emotional side. Yes, I agree, this is why I use my blog cos in real life I would just cry and not get a word out edgewise. lol

  17. cecilia says:

I “canceled” my efforts/plans to do my pastoral ship. because this is how I also understood the Word. it does not keep me though from being a witness where-ever and when-ever!

  18. Jean says:

    @ Celia . . .
I applaud you. Not many Ladies on hearing or discovering the truth, want to “submit” into their God give role.

A few years back, I had a very interesting experience with my wife on this issue of woman teaching. I then had not learned the truth about this yet.
My wife has got the ability to really teach and explain things well. I thus encouraged her to used this in a woman’s bible study group . She would then always bring her “lesson” to me to check if it was ok/sound and then she would give it to the group. If anyone of the ladies had a problem with what was taught, they had to come to me and I dealt with it. This worked great for a short while with me until she started struggling with her role as wife being in “submission” to her husband. She came to me and complained that after a meeting, she did not want to came back home and then do the “normal” things again. No, she wanted to just teach and “enjoy” the attention. What also started happening was that she did not want to accept sometimes the “corrections” I would make to her lessons. Later, we actually laughed because she would fall in love with a certain scripture or verse and would then try to twist and turn and manipulate it to try and fit it into her lessons… Wheee Emotions Rule ! 😉
After many long “midnight” talks, she decided to stop teaching and just be a “strong” witness. a Month later she came to me again and said that she has so much peace now regarding this.

This prompted me to, for the first time, really study the role of woman in God’s creation and Word.
A week or 2 later I got given a book by David Pawson “Leadership is Male” and all the pieces started falling into place.

Yes, a woman MUST be a witness and yes, she can teach younger woman to love their husbands and children etc (Tit 2:4)
I truly believe that we should pray more for woman in regards to their witnessing in this world. I mean, If I look at the 1 Peter 3 guidelines, it can’t be easy especially with the curse of Gen 3:16 also hanging over their heads.

    Let me explain:
Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy pain and thy conception; in pain thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

The last part of this curse is “and thy desire shall be to thy husband” actually means: The woman will try to take the place of the man.
Do you see the problem? It is actually in a woman’s fallen nature to want to “take over” or “rule over” the husband.
    Now we understand woman’s Lib.

  19. Jean

    >> The last part of this curse is “and thy desire shall be to thy husband” actually means: The woman will try to take the place of the man.

Now that is interesting! wow… Thank you for that Jean.

  20. Jean says:

    @ Deborah…
When I discovered this, my whole understanding and attitude towards woman and in particular my wife changed… I just realized how my wife really needs my help (protection) in this. I actually went to my wife and asked her to forgive me for “helping” her into a leadership/teaching role.

When I discovered this, I checked it also with Moody institute, John McAthur, Jacob Prasch and Arnold Frughtenbaum and they all confirmed the Hebrew meaning and interpretation.
I then went to 2 local Theologians with doctorates in theology and they also confirmed this AND they told me that the pastors and Dominees did also learn this in their studies in seminary…

Now I am just plain angry at all the Dominees and Pastors who know this and yet they still promote/allow and then follow Woman leadership in churches…

The following scripture came to mind:
1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: Evil companionships corrupt good morals.
The church system in the world today IS evil and it corrupts everybody who is part of it ! AMEN !

  21. Jean says:

    Oh.. forgot to add…
I now have a much better understanding of the following scripture:
1Pe 3:7 Ye husbands, in like manner, dwell with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor unto the woman, as unto the weaker vessel, as being also joint-heirs of the grace of life; to the end that your prayers be not hindered.

Now it really makes more sense because we know “something” about the Built-in weakness in the DNA of Ladies …and they can’t really help it unless they receive lots of Grace from God.
Men: Now You know know this truth . . . start applying this in you marriages because now you ARE now accountable before God regarding this. You must help your wife’s to understand this and “protect” them in this matter.
Whenever I teach this to new members in my groups, the ladies are very greatfull for this understanding and the men then start to live in the God given role in the marriage.
2 marriages were saved/turned around because of this in my groups.
Men,you will experience a great improvement in your marriage relationship even if you already have a strong relationship.

  22. Jean

Well when I read your first comment it immediately made sense. And it made clear a few things I had been pondering about. So thanks for that.

It’s actually sad though, actually sad is not the word, it’s pathetic that evil has changed the entire way God planned for us to live. Men (because of sin) allowed women to become the head, women (because of sin) insist on being the head.

Now you have ‘christian’ movements (like Oom Angus Buchan) trying to force submission onto women that is not godly either because he preaches a false gospel where men are the high priests of the home. How blasphemous is that.

Yet at the same time Angus is going to speak with Elza Meyer at the Union buildings on the 6th March (along with a whole host of others)at some huge gathering that I am sure will be broadcast on God TV.

  23. Jean

Oh what a lie! Where did you get that nonsense from? Ask Elza Meyer for the names of just 1 person whom I can contact to verify this claim.

  29. Robbie says:

    Jeanette,

Hoop regtig jy gaan jou eie studie doen…
